I have a Guy in my space  game  from Oregon

Oregon (or ee gun) is an interesting state: The coast and Gorge are spectacular, the Willamette (will am et) Valley is green, the Cascades (skiing) and Coast Range are rugged, the extreme northeast is Alpine but dryer, and the rest is mostly high desert with pine and scrub vegetation. We usually measure distance in minutes or hours. BTW, no sales tax.

 t The guy that's in my space game   has been there   for years.. we had  another  guy  who was there  for about  2 years... he lived out that way as well.. the y met up a few times ,  the other  guy had  RL issues  and had to leave the GAme.

I had a guy in another on line game from Brazil plus one here he ran.   R/L got him too last I knew.  sigh R/L is difficult for us all.  Too bad he never rejoined the games (that i know of) he was a good player.

I enjoy the fact that we get gamer's from all over the place.  Nice to see a little diversity.

yep.. I give new folks  a coupel weeks if they don't give me  a  heads up, ebfore I cut them... I give Vets a  longer leash.. 1 guy  has been in the game  all 71/2 + years.. the Oregon guy about   4+ I think...  I know how thier work is , Kids  ect.

 we have lost at  least two.to RL death..one, we never heard  from again, but he mentioned his  fight.... another Guy, from England, I skyped with a coupel time , because he was so into the game, he was asking be questions  bout   the back round..he  had a tumor  and passed.. his sister sent me an Email when she came over to his hosue to  check on him.

 there was a great player..even shared his   honymoon pics with us.. but  we haven't heard from him since the CA fires last August,  so he may have  been one of the unlucky ones,who didn't make it.

those fires, they showed Charles Shultz's neighboor hood, burned  all the way down to the  foundations.. the fire  had been stopped, just short of the  'Peanuts Museum' there...pics of Bones turned to ash  there... not cool.

 The great part is, the game is built, so you and your charcter  learn at the same time..and my Vets  help  out the new  folks as much as they can.

but its  cool.. OOC will have vents  about RL..people offering    suggestions  and information..PMs   for some of teh real bad  stuff.. I have a couple newer players that always  are asking about   the ships..or   alien races  ect ect, so they can get thier RP down.... DAmn lucky to have players like that...there been 3 games I was in that folded ( one might have had the GM  being taken..because of   bad health Issues)

 one funny part.. a game I joined to help a GM that was in my game  a year ago...wasn't run very well.. I tried to  post to keep it goign because  it was  'too freefomrish"...a player   ask the DM to tell me to use  spell check, and  suggested   that if I had  some problems   she would   edit my posts for me!.... I went to OOC  and  said, that maybe if folks would post more, rather then worry about the other stuff, the game might not be dying.... it was deleted  Monday!

as a sidebar?..yes..i know   I mistype a lot..but I think I over work my spellcheck, as  it never catches  everything!

This is the only game I participate that´s been going for a long period. All the other I joined in the past - including some brazilian ones - ended with weeks or months, there was one which ended within days which I went through some really silly and unpleasant situation. I was playing an elf ranger and I decided to move from the merry go round chaotic good fella to some introvert obnoxious wild elf who considered himself better than others who haven't proved him wrong. Well, there was this human woman fighter who liked to show off her curves and stuff, first interaction with her my character says she belongs in the kitchen not in the battlefield. Turns out the player was actually a woman and she accused me of sexism, I explained to her that I actually thought she was a dude running a female character (that's very common in my country, you see, not many women play rpg here), to make a long story short, her character just attacked mine and destroyed him. *sigh* The campaign then ended after a few days, the DM just decided to quit.

I run 3  game  that have been going for year..the space  game ( semi-freeform, my own system) is the most active with over 72K posts ..and the players there    are all buddies  and eagerly help/accept new folks.

 everynowand then, I  accept someone who turns out to be a jerk..they get cut.

If you were playing within your character and your character had that opinion it was roll playing,In an OOC maybe you could have gotten in trouble.  Things can be tough in here when you roll play a character vs real life stuff.

Sorry that happened.  I actually took this campaign over from another DM who had to retire from this one and I have and will run it until there are no more payers to play characters in it.  If by chance your character passes on to the adventure in the sky, another can be brought in.

I ran into a request to run more of a lawful character themed adventure within here so now there are other groups in here and they are affecting each other :)

Also had a player quit since they did not enjoy the game, I made sure the player rolld played out of the game without destroying anything/anyone else.  Not having to kick anyone out - yet.


I have been in a campaign since 2009, same character and there have been ups and downs but I never quite a game (maybe killed) but if it is still going on I try to rejoin.  I too hate to see campaigns fizzle out.

Stay the course there is a lot going on in here (and in my head).

Dude, I enjoy this campaign a lot, if it's on me, it will never die, eh! And if Senuviel dies then he's gonna reincarnate into another adventurer.

yep! Me too. I remember I couldn't be the ranger because there was a ranger already, you. :p

::chuckles:: nothing wrong  with 2 rangers!...of course   Senuviel is a wee bit better then Kree. because he has   spellcraft!

It wasn't a problem for me, too. But apparently it was for the original DM. Pitty Senuviel's player ain't that creative on using spells. :p

loooongggg ago on one of the   now  dead EZboard sites, Kree was a Harper, in a  HOmebrewwed FR game... the GM was  great, in that we could   'build' the characters  as we  wanted  and   could   bend the rules a bit... Kree was able to use some  spells ( low level stuff)..

 His use of  Sleep made approaching   enemy camps easier..

 then the hackers  came  and, more or less, killed the EZ board  sites

After that game.. I tired to run my games  with a cross of   D&D ( FR)  and  a tad from the TFT  ( old Metagaming  Co  games) where you can  sorta build yur people how you want them to be.

as a sidebar for that.. I went in on a kickstarted  for Steve JAckson Games,,  as they are bringhing  back, Melee Wizard  and the TFT campaign  stuff.. I used to GM games like that, tried to get some   'sologames' published   by them before they folded... I might try again  once the   game is  released.

That's cool. I wish the rpg market were like this here.

The was a decent game on  RPG, Combined   real history, with ledgends   and D&D..real deep game with a couple DMs..the site was worthless though and  I guess it crashed.. I had two guys check this site out..one guy opened a  game here..but hasn't posted in a month.... the other guy went to RPG  Crossing..that site is  slow, and cluttered..

 I did  join his game, but I only go to the  link for that game..i hate that site, after being here

I did not belong to any older sites, my first was a yahoo group then pbboards then here.

Email games too, still have one I am in going so different but cool.  Solid game.

I actually started online gaming when he boss "wife" thought I should give up going out to game and to not loose my key I found on line gaming.  Now I have both he worlds, on line and DnD table top.

::chuckles:: Yahoo was a big thing, back then, games there  died and got hacked a lot...

No, Kree got down from the loft and was shooting at the Ogres as far as I recall.

ok.. I'll have to check later?..but   I mentioned  him going back  up to shoot at the   Robed Guy.. then?  when he  got angry, he turned his  bow   ground ward to hit the Ogres.

No matter from the loft you can try to shoot out at the retreating robed guy or shot at the Ogres like in there faces "you are looking at the face to face"
