Re: on the hunt for slavers

Kree  nods once  more to Elric,We shall give  our new  friend some work...aye? He will take Point, with Bruga   trailing, I will take the Left flank, Senuviel will take the  right Flank..everyone  else travel together... As i said, Snare will be   a real guard of  sorts.

..see what spore you can find of these  Slavers...so we might   end a few more of them..

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Elric nods agreement to Kree, and begins to look around. "Ok, so which set of prints do we want to follow" He states, more to himself then looking for an answer. He looks around for some that are made by heavier boots and by a man of greater girth. Either would be easier to track, and the latter easier to catch up to given the head start.

"I'd suggest folowing the tracks that go towards the mountains. This slavers had their base there. No doubt they will flee there, and even if they don't, there could be more slavers or slaves there." Maki says, as he pounders their next move.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Nodding to Malki,..goodly thought....Elric...find the  easiest  tracks to follow. and  we can run them down...if they all are the same..we'll head for the Mountains...If we can catch one that leads away from the Mountains. we  run that one  down, then veer off and follow the older tracks...

[Leaving the freed captives to their own devices?], Bruga takes his position as the foolish, rash intrepid adventurers continue their obsession quest.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 7):

There are now four main tracks Elric finds.  The wagons track getting to this spot, a wagon track heading out toward the mountains, another track going to the ambush you encountered and a final track you think may be from another group on foot but foot prints go in both directions.

The wagon track heading to the mountains seems the most logical if you are tracking a headquarters operating for the Orcs.

Tracking is easy once Elric finds the tracks.

Following the tracks the rest of the day finds you passed two resting spots - abandoned but well set up with lean too's and fenced area for horses.

It is after supper - do you push on into the night or camp?

Bruga is quite content to find a relatively cozy spot in/on which to sleep away the night. "Never volunteer" was the advice his great-grand pappy advanced.

Elric offers to heal anyone whom is hurt before he retires to bed. He heads straight to sleep so that he can be up with the sun and have time for his prayers.

Elric rolled a 3 for the requested roll.

In reply to Elric Vanguard (msg # 18):

DM Sigh, well, yea rolling a 20 is a good probability for a positive random encounter but when a 1 is rolled well - Here it is -

On Kree's watch as Maki settles in for the night, two humanoid figures rush the group.

Kree you are partially surprised or in fact struck dumb at who is attacking and you.

The two slavers who ran away - good but bad :)

Everyone else is asleep - Maki you are awake but not able to do anything.  Even Snare is taken back.

Defend yourself as both slavers over swung there attacks, Kree Action please ;)

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Maki was expecting something like this might happen and had his sword and shield ready by his side. Still he had just fallen a sleep, and it took a few moments just to realise what was happening.
When he realised there were two opponents only, the two slavers that eluded them he said. "This two must be stupid or something. We delt with their whole group and now they charge us.  Be careful just in case they have friends in ambush waiting.
And if you can let's try and capture one once more."

Re: on the hunt for slavers

In reply to Maki (msg # 21):

Kree's first shot misses but the second lands true and a slaver fall's.

The surviving one states plainly as he attacks again, better to die like this then have the whole family suffer and swings - missing yet again.

OOC - Kree he is at point blank melee range if you use your bow he get's a +4 to hit you but you get two shots to his one.  this is true with any bow/crossbow/sling ranged attack.

Actions, Maki can attack too.

Elric, continue your prayers?
Senuviel?

Yenchew has gotten up and is covering Clair and Elric as Snare stand guard to.
Clair continues her prayers hoping to not be interrupted.
