Re: on the hunt for slavers

knowing he  need not  draw an arrow to fire, Kree keeps his bow in his left hand , as he draws his sword  with this Right. He  will move  Up  to the closest Body, his eyes looking around for sign of battle, and such..Blood on the grass, broken or drooped weapons..

when he approaches the First Body, his first act will be to slash down, trying to  take the ehad from the body...if it is a trap, better to know now...if not?..the Body wouldn't care...

I'm going around, not in the clearing. I'll see what I can find and hope nothing bad finds me. Bruga disapears into the brush, which doesn't ripple.

Elric raises a hand hoping to hold everyone up before they all go into the clearing, To him this feels bad, like poisoned meat. Something to get your attention hidding something to cause harm. He looks for signs that something or somebody left the site from a distance. Quietly he asks "Maki, does this feel evil?" He leave his hands free and tries to to keep on guard.

Maki only nods to Elric "I'll scout around as well, see if i can pick up any traces of auras."

Then, with his longsword drown he walks slowly around the clearing, stopping every now and then to listen for other scouts, or any other sounds. He also looks around and tries to detect anything evil around.

Sorry R/L got me -

Kree chopes the head of an Orc off.  No other bodies animate or come to life nor anything jumps out and attacks Kree.

Bruga keeps circling the area.

Maki will make a full circle around the area, and if he detects nothing will move on to inspect the bodies of the fallen.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

He walks out from behind some brush which served as his hiding spot, raises his hands upward and outward slowly in a nonthreatening manner and calls out to the Halfling searching the area in front of him.

"Hail friend! You do not look like the sort that would associate with Orcs. Please say you are friend and not foe."

You can tell the man walking out is finely dressed in clothes, not armor, with a fur cloak and wearing a turban.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Maki, after hearing the man speak will break off his search to walk closer to him.
Stumbling into traps often as of late makes him cautious. He inspects the man for any concealed weapons he might have, and also the man's surroundings. He wouldn't want to be suprised by a few more armed friends of his.

"Helo, for now i'm sure we can be on a friendly turn. We're not associated with the foul orcs in any way, but do want to know what happened here. Might you know anything?" Maki asked as he aproached slowly.

OOC: Maki will try and detect evil in this newcomer. Hope you aren't evil, or else roleplaying with you character will be extremely short :D

In reply to Maki (msg # 64):

Maki no Evil is detected.

Kree, the Orcs look like regular troopers, and the humans look normal in chain and long swords.  Dead form combat.  A lot of foot prints and a few blood trials of in several directions.

OOC - Have fun Role playing a little bit.

After  the Heads are taken, and tossed far away, Kree will  search the Bodies  for Loot and items they might be able to Use. Now and again he looks around, Just in case this  new  fellow is a distraction.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

"Yes I saw it all... Our caravan had just set up at this rest stop and the Orcs came out of nowhere, it was an ambush! Thirty, forty, fifty of them, I am not sure they came so fast." He looks over to the bodies and gags, then steadies himself. "Apologies, I have never seen so much carnage before. They killed all the armed guards, pulled the priest from his bed, and the three drivers were forced to hitch up the wagons and drive them back out with the Orcs leading. I was considering tracking them down but alone I fear it would be suicide. Oh excuse my manners, the name is Dixon by the way." Dixon takes a step, extending his arm for a handshake.

Senuviel continues on his witch. Every now and then he takes a look at the newcomer, though, just to make sure the human won't do anything stupid.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

"I'm sorry to hear you had to go through such an ordeal. My name is Maki, knight of Pelor." He said, taking the man's arm. "We were tracing a platoon of Orcs a few days ago, but lost their tracks. Perhaps those were the very same ones?" Maki said, wondering. "Anyways... are you the sole survivor, or are there any more? We're not heading towards any towns jet, so we can't really offer you an escort. But perhaps if you have any idea where this orcs were heading. If it is not far perhaps there is stil time to save the priest they kidnapped." Maki said, and looked towards others. He wasn't sure if they would be willing to break of the slaver persuit.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

"I am the last one from the group that  wasn't slain or taken. The last ones I saw alive were the three drivers and the priest but I would not bet money on them still being alive..." Dixon says staring off down the trail, remembering everything that just happened. Then he turns back, his face more serious now, and says, "If you all had any interest in tracking down those murderers the wagon tracks should still be fresh and easy enough to follow, for this happened not more than an hour ago. If not then... well.. this is embarrassing." He chuckles. "Would you all consider having me along with you anyway? I would surely perish out here alone and I may actually be of some use to your group, even though I might not look like it."

Elric visible relaxes and heads over next to Maki and the new comer. "Names Elric" he states and listens to the conversation. As people talk he keeps an eye out. If they are only an hour gone, they may not be far away.

a good-sized halfling appears, introduces himself, and learns what's going on. He nods. I found the trail. He points. They went that-a-way. Don't think this is a good place to stop. We should go...wherever. You search the bodies thoroughly?
