Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Sila seemed to sense it as well, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up.  She started glancing around trying to determine what sort of possible deception awaited the group.

She prepared for trouble, she glanced above into any of the trees to see if trouble lurked above them as well as listened for any sounds of movement.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

The elf stops and   nods  as Bruga  speaks  and  calls back a whisper to the bext closest to him.

The  he adds,..If  any have fire  available to them...get ready to use it....

with his  free hand  he   reaches into his pack as  he crouches  a bit, feeling around  Until he  finds one of the flasks or oil...he will tuck the  Oil inside his  tunic, and open the pouch of his flint and steel...then ...waits...

In reply to Amarisa (msg # 6):

As the group awaits they assume Bruga's report everyone feels tension among them, the wind slowly brushes past each members cheeks bringing a smell of death to the air.

Solid darkness shrouds the group as the moon is covered by a passing cloud.

Snare let's out a low primeval growl

Bruga returns. He gathers the others around by touching and reports. Where the camp is or was is a hemispherical blackness. Something may or may not be concealed within.

Kree thinks  a bit, and shrugs,Then we all should just surround the Darkness. Sooner or later it will fade, and  we may attack.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

"You say the darkness is in a sphere shape?  Sound like are wanting to hide something or distract us, by having us wait till the darkness clears"  Sila seemed to have some insight into a devious mind.

"Now this is just a suggestion mind you,  why not use two ropes held on each end to be dragged through the darkness from opposite directions, if there is anything within the rope would alert us.  Bruga do you recall if there were any object in the area that they have darkened?"

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Bruga says, "I didn't linger. First, they'd be wondering what happened to me; and, second, the more I would have investigated, the likelier I'd be discovered. So perhaps I'm guessing it is hemispherical."

If  everyone agrees?  we'll circle the   'darkness' and  wait a bit...if not  all agree, Kree will see what the others have to say, he does make it a point to say they have to kill these things.

But he Adds, when we get there?  we need to search the area, to make sure they are not using this   as a distraction, to slink off..

Maki only nods... he still seems to be confused by something. And he doesn't like it one bit.

"Your plan sounds fine. We already lost the element of suprise it seems. Though if we're lucky, they just cloaked themselves in darkness, so that they could rest in peace and are still unaware of us. I can try something from the edge, though i doubt it'll do much.
But after that... maybe one of us scouts the area?"
He wispered not too loudly, just in case someone was waiting in the darkness.

Sila didn't seem to like the sit around and wait approach.  She paced around the darkness, there was something that didn't seem right to her about the situation.  She searched the ground for some rocks or dirt chunks.  She listened for any tell tale noises from within considering the groups options.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

OOC:  The intent was to circle around the  sphere of darkness picking up some rocks to be able to throw into the darkness after having circled it.  We would be able to possibly listen to find out if there was anything inside.  If that did not turn up anything she would consider entering the darkness at that point.  You can rule as you see fit

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

In reply to Sila Thorton Duskmantle (msg # 21):

OOC - Darkness sphere is around 30 yards wide - almost like a double sized Darkness 15' radius.  There a re plenty of rocks n stuff if you choose to throw them into the darkness.  No sounds comes out of the darkness that you can hear.

Nothing appears to be out of place other then the darkness as Sila and anyone else walk about it.

Yenchew, Clair and Snare set awaiting the final group decision - Yenchew chewing at his lower lip anxious for action.  Snare is still next to Clair watching everyone.

If you decide to rain down arrows into the darkness I will need

A.  2 D4's per round shooting to where the arrows land within the darkness
B.  2 D20's for our attack rolls (assume 2 arrows per round)
C.  2 D'6 for arrow damage per round (if you hit something)
D.  2 D6's per round shooting in case you roll really bad where the arrow goes
E.  2 D20's per round shooting in case I need them evil DM chuckle :)
F.  2 D100's per round shooting to round out the dice rolling ;)

If you throw rocks or stuff in, just one of each roll per A-F

Good hunting er shooting

Kree roll me a D100 and D20 since you are wlaking around the darkness.

Clair looks down to Snare, pets him and asks, Snare my boy, Orcs?  Pets hims some more, Orcs? Snare looks at her perks his ears but just sits there looking at her.

Clair looks to Bruga, Bruga, not sure if he understands Orcs in to itself as to an Orc. I think he reacts more to sight and smell together plus danger to one of us as it happens.   Chuckles, not sure if he is a blood hound or not and follows our actions more.  He is a smart boy so you never know.

Let's see what transpires indicating to the darkness, if that is a spell, it should run out at some point?

anyone else walking the darkness - please roll a D10 and D20.

Eww Sila throws rocks into the darkness.  Kree one comes close to you - she is not the best thrower :)   no sounds come from the darkness as a few rocks were thrown into it.

Snare stands and snarls into the air then circles Clair ears perked with a low growl.
