The bell rings.  Everybody switch!  Oh, and don't forget to run into each other in the halls between classes.  You'll get lunch to conspire as well.

Re: Time changes and absences
Right, it looks to be about time to move on again.  We will be moving to Halloween next.  However, you guys probably want to do some investigating.  So, in the 'time passes' thread pose your questions and how you are going about investigating if you are.  I will respond, once we have that worked out, we can move to the 31st.

But, don't also forget to write what else you are doing as the time passes.  As far as student activities and events go most anything within reason is possible.  I will be posting the first and second quidditch matches at some point, feel free to react to them.

Re: Time changes and absences
KK, I got the idea but I need a bit of setup first.  I am planning to react a tad to you.  As such, we are moving forward to the morning of Oct the 31st.

The students have a holiday that day and the rumors abound as to what happened at the Quidditch match.  This is also the first day for James out of the infirmary.  He returned to the dorms the night before and is going to make his appearance at breakfast.

Feel free to post some stuff in the mean time thread as well for the week.

Right right, as exceptional as the RP is in the dorms, I am moving forward again this Weekend (Saturday night to be specific.)  So, let's get the scene wrapped up and everyone tucked into bed.

Further details and some GM input to come later this week.  Look forward to it.

KK, we are going to stop on September the 7th, whatever day that might be.  The date that more 'security' should be arriving.

Ravenclaws overheard the conversation, so lets have a little PC powwow between Halloweeen and the 7th.  You guys decide where it happens: Great Hall, back of a class, empty room...

Charms- For charms students will be expected to get at least an A on the Levitation Charm or receive remedial classes.

Flying- This is actually the final for the class as lesson will not continue in the Spring.  Students will be expected to get off the ground and fl through a preset, and easy, course.

HoM- A written exam on Roman and Egyptian history.

Alright, everyone leave Snape's office and retreat to respective dorms, unless you feel the need to tempt fate with a rendesvous in the library or something.

After that, respond to the finals below...  I will be posting a summary in the of the year end events in the History Lesson.  Give me a post 'In The Mean Time' about year end.  Then, a post in 'Vacations' about your summers.  I would love some super detail there.  That will catch us up to the Diagon Alley thread.

Back.  Thanks to The Lady for keeping everything running smoothly.  I see I have nothing to do really.  We'll give the next week to the train, at least, before our arrival at school.  There may be an event or two in the depths of my brain.

Also, thanks to all of you who sent your sympathies.  They count more than I ever thought they would.

KKK, Monday Sept 2, 2019 is at hand folkses.  Off to the great hall for breakfast.  You'll technically be receiving your schedules there from your heads of house.

So, finish common room threads/conversations lickety split and do the time warp, again.

As James just indicated, wrap up the Great Hall and head to class.

Make sure to, if you need to remind yourself or it is your first time, to go back to the first post and get the lowdown on the classroom.

Re: Time changes and absences
Alright, I am going to leave us at Free time/Lunch until our holidays are over.  Feel free to wander corridors, the great hall, and dorms.  I'll be around for the most part, excepting Christmas weekend, and can respond to you with the game world or NPCs if you wish to do something to develop character or personal plots like club activities.

I won't let holiday-itis kill this game at this point, so look forward to the game moving along again after Christmas... maybe, New Years.

Have a safe and hap holidays everyone.

And, it looks like we're going to have to take Mom's computer into the shop the day after Christmas (It's infected with some sort of virus that I can't fix).  I may not be posting at all until after Dec. 30.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone though.

Re: Time changes and absences
Right, right.  Lets skip ah3ead to get the game moving a bit.  We are moving to Halloween night.  There was a feast and everything that day and you are all tucked into bed without incident, surprisingly.

I want each of you to post in the 'In the mean time...' of course, you got two months of time to write.  Feel free to write any club details you would like.  IF you want the input of a professor on something, just send a PM to me and Lady Red and one of us will adjudicate it.

Classes: Herbology is detailing dangerous carnivorous plants.  There is a live Devil's Snare as example.  Charms works on jinxes like the Sneezing charm which becomes prank of the month.  Transfiguration works on texture changes, hard to soft, fuzzy to scaly and suchlike.  DADA...  well, he reads his book to you.  In potions you work on cures for poisons and burn remedies.

Socially: Claire is not picked on as much as last year.  However, the Gryffindors have proved to be rather physical this ear in their tolerance of Slytherin pranks and name calling.  The Snakes give it up in favor of teasing mud-bloods and the poor in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.  The Sneezing Jinx and Body Locks are fired off several times a day.

Professor Howell continues to expect but be surprised by Raveclaw academics and flabbergasted that Hufflepuffs know which end of a sword is pointy.

Alright, lets move to Lunch now.  Everyone can write how their morning classes went, but I see no need to play em out.

Robert, it's up to you if you bring Lloyd along to the library.  Nik, you might just be there for personal reasons.  Kiri, not sure, but I am sure you can find a reason to be in the library.  Etc.  Kinda want everyone to get 'involved' here.  Need our newbies to get in on the pariah group!

Re: Time changes and absences
Someone mentioned this, so I thought I'd respond.  First years will be doing pretty much what last year's crop of firsties did for this period of time.  Not finding any posts that talks about it though, right now.  Will look more when I get home, unless someone else can remember where it is and reference before then.

The big change is DADA, in which you are pretty much reading Mr. Malfoy's book (he offers to sign your copy Lloyd) and transfiguration, the subject is the same but the professor more amiable, though very surprised by any over bright Hufflepuffs.

Professor Howell would definitely console you on having dead parents, "Terrible news, old top." though he would seem, but never say, that he was sorrier to hear your mother was a squib.  "Unfortunate lot, that sort.  Understandable that she'd want to live in the Colonies."

As for the long standing question of the commonwealth.  Relations are strained but most of the countries had little they could say about the matter.  Some of the bigger voices, Canada, Australia, India, made a hullabaloo, but the politics were still up in the air when Lady Red took over and she lets them go their own way as long as they observe all the old hands off fussiness and niceties..
