I have updates the Staff and Professors post #3 to reflex whether or not the class is a core one or one of the electives.

The post about the "Hogwarts Squad" amused me greatly.  I don't know if being a redneck will cause any problems with him joining up with the aurors, but if it does...he could always become a magical version of a "private contractor".  I'm not certain how magical law works in GB so far as that goes.

I had to go back and find what you are talking about, Lloyd.  Sorry Robert, but I don't see Athene ever working for Lady Red.  She's just as bad as Moldy Voldy in her mind.  I'm sure there are private investigators in the magical side of GB.

Neat, you read my mind on what to call this thread, Lady.  Sometimes I fear we think too much alike...

Anywho, I am diligently wokrking on posts.  Nother one is up and you can feel free to ask questions.  Yes, LeFey is a response to a player many of us know and, yes, she is the new head of Slytherin House.

New DADA prof should be up in a few seconds in the appropriate thread, though students will not know about her until next year.

^________^

I know what we can use for the fourth one.... "And now for something completely different (O.O.C.)"
XD

That or "The 4th of O.O.C."

We seem to go through 1 OOC a year.  I think that's a good thing.  ^_^

In reply to Athene Shoe (msg # 7):

Yeah, I couldn't do it the way it was in the books.  It is more going to be the class that supports the things like Movie Club from year one...  I plan on you guys learning the potion that generates electricity for muggle devices as one of the lessons.

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Now that's a muggle studies I'd be interested in.  I hope it's still going in that direction when I get to third year.

Also, in terms of muggle artifacts, I ran into this in another game and I wanted to make a suggestion.  I'm not sure how it works in this game's world, but I recall in the books that "muggle artifacts" are very regulated as to what you could do with them magically...like almost nothing.  I thought of a possible loophole.  I don't think it was ever mentioned how the law was actually worded, but if it was worded as "it is illegal to enchant a muggle artifact to act in any way alternate to its intended purpose" that might allow for a certain amount of leeway.

For instance, it would still be illegal to make a carpet to fly, but if a jacket was enchanted to mimic armor, a case could be made that the jacket is intended to be a protective device and therefore an enchantment to make it more protective is not alternate to its intended purpose.  Just a thought that occurred to me.
