Okay, we will wait for Claire here, but the end of year three is nigh so consider your year four character advancement applications. I have admitted our first two year four students have one in active negotiations and the last submitted an RTJ. So, next years cast will be introducing themselves here shortly. Please, be the awesome players, friends, and gamers you ahve been the last four years and make them welcome.

New folks, get set up and introduce yourselves. Look around and get acquainted! You are welcome to post in the OOC and to think about posting In the Mean Time... if you want to tive folks a glimpse or two into your schools. Do not overdo it though. The last two should be along within the wek I think.

Hi everyone! I've worked with the GM to create one of the visiting wizards from Uagadou in Southern Africa. Take a look at the history thread for some of the backstory on magic in Africa. Can't wait to get started!

 Yes, welcome to the breakfast club. The ring leaders in order i will introduce you to them. Athene, Amanda,Claire,and Kiri, then my humble self is in the order.

 Welcome to the game. There is one other but i am still considering if he is part of the inner group yet, nice kid but a bit of a loon, he likes magical history. Sheeesh.

Hi too. I quite often play a Candomblé witch in games. The background is fantastic. Interesting and real in a way that it can be hard to get in fantasy games.

I was thinking the same thing.  Speaking of which, if anyone else was likely to remember, it would be you Athene.  Did I ever establish in game when my character's birthday was?  If you don't remember, don't bother hunting for it.  I'll just go with what feels right now.

Good plan, everyone might consider updating their desciptions for the new players and if you want add bits. Hmm, also remember that next is year four and there may or may not be a ball. You have been warned. Also, everyone shoukd be 14/15 this upcoming year. A few of you if your birhdays are in the late fall should be 15/16. I assume Hogwarts is like American school in that if your birthday is msplaced you start a year "late" so to say. My fact checkers can correct me if wrong.

In the UK it's 'how old are you on the cut off date'. No choice. The cut off date is the first of September. No negotiation. Go to jail if you mess up (I exaggerate a little on the goto jail)

Yep for Hogwarts you have to be 11 on or before Sept 1st for your first year.  So if you turn 11 on the Second of September, tough titties, you have to wait until next year to start.

Updates.

Also, there is the word on ages. Make it so unless we discussed some other arrangement at some time in the past.

Last, still trying to decide which dorms each of our guests will be staying in! I have had a Gryffidor/Slytherin dorm forever now but never used them. I have considered putting the guests in there for the hey of it, but also want them to be able to interact with the long term players. decisions, decisions!

I thought the original idea about having the characters be puffs and claws was since so many games are slytherin vs gryffindor.

Well as visitors would we actually be that house, or just 'honary members' Would our points count towards that house?

I am very ambitious but not very brave... So of the two it would be Slytherin for me... *chuckles* I suspect I wouldn't have a great time there...

Actually, some of the slytherins are quite nice.  Amanda and Athene are friends with the twins and eat with them (and their circle of friends) at least once a week.  Or at least Amanda does.  I think Athene joins her, but I'm not positive.

Even Lysandra is better this year than she was last year.  And, some of her circle have been proving friendly or were already somewhat friendly when Lysandra wasn't around.

Speaking of which, something I've been curious about for a while.  Which are the slytherins that are part of Scorpio and Scorpiana's circle?

If I remember correctly Lysandra has Regulus, Rolf, and to a lesser extent Tomas. I'd assume that Dolores is probably part of her circle as well.  But I'm not sure if that's been said.

I'd assume Corinne is one of the twins friends?  Or do the twins draw all of their Slytherin friends from the other years?

Lysandra's core are Regulus and Rolf while Dolores and Tomas are more toward her than the Twins. Corrine and the Twins are thick as thieves. Amongst the second years, Miles, Adam Rosmerta, and Aiden Higgs aree friends while the rest seem friendly to the Twins. The twins have only a small group of true hangers on while they tend to have the favor of the other cliques in Slytherin house. Older students certainly don't hand out with them but approve of them due to their confrontation of Lysandra. Slytherins aren't a house of assholes, they just have ideas about who is better and most of them get along just fine with other witches and wizards, even those considered lower, as they have a sense of decorum and civility.

AS for houses, technically there will be guests in all the dorms. Not permanent members, no, just temporary housing while at Hogwarts since they have space available. I am just considering what schools in which dorms, etc. Yes, the idea here is Huffs/Ravens since I was so annoyed at all the Slyth/Gryy games. It still is and has shown to be quite rewarding. I like my cast of Huffs and Ravens. That cause cannot override what would make good sense though. Like Beauxbatons students housed in Ravenclaw tower. Each school will not be bringing a house with them like in the book as there are just too many and not as many students from each school in my version.
