Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
I nearly linked to some 'how to' samba stuff in the previous post to demonstrate my point about the 'strut'.I do like it. Just need a partner to help me do this IC  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh6ZGe3Pcs4

And ... you know as well as I do that the oversized feet is an excuse!

*sigh /drool*

Sorry, Jade, big feet might be an excuse, but half a world away definitely works, not that I am not regretting the situation. Ohhh, I wish I could dance like that, You will simply have to teach me when we get to that clammy Scottish place, Hatwards or something. I will teach you other things, like always. We always trade skills right? Humm, of course, I cut my hair last year so that won't be a good trade, any interest in guitars anymore? COuld you imagine how I'll drive all those British girls nuts if I could make my ass move like that?

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
It looks as though Iím going to have quite a bit to cover in my vacation post(s).  So, even though Iím planning on breaking it up into pre and post South America sections, it may be a day or so before I get my first missive up.  Since we are getting out of school on June 5th and will probably want at least a week or so to finish travel arrangements.  Iíll probably be in South America from late June to mid-July.  That means that Iíll be at the wizarding resort from July 12th Ė July 18th.

I  should have my saying goodbye in the Great Hall post up today and others will follow.

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Well it's an adult game, but that's only been about a quarter of the focus... maybe less. Quite a lot of romance, only a little bit of hot steamy stuff.

The spin off game (I'm only in it as Aunty Jade and OOC stuff at the moment) is almost all sex as far as I can see *rolls eyes*

Tell you what though, in a few months I'm getting married in game. I can't remember if I've asked you to attend the wedding.

The adult stuff is not the issu, just missed being Beth.

We shall see. Someday I will get to play HP again and maybe even Beth. I forget why I didn't port over even.

Nice Vacations Post Amanda. I will wait a bit to see some more Vacations threads Posts and then put up James' post as well as some reactions from the universe about it.

I'm only casually following this game at the moment (IC I wouldn't know much) is there anything I need to read apart from the Daily Prophet thread?

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Hmmm, I would say yes, but not sure what. The letters post and Amanda's post seem most pressing for Jade. There was four reports in the Prophet about the real Mrs. Duckworth being found, some scandals surrounding Hogwarts, the Festival being announced. Nthing major though I tend to like to hide plot hooks in such inconsequential posts.

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
What is the 'letters post'?

I'll look at vacations, although as I say I'll post mine after I've RPed some in the exotic locations (where I am now is pretty exotic!... kind of wish I was there IRL)

I read the Prophet, but my view is that my character at the moment could care less about scandals like that (are they about important people like movie stars???), so I'm deliberately not putting my 'detective eye' on them. I'll go back if/when I get sucked into 'caring actually quite a lot'!.

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Letters post, the one where you got your letter from Hogwarts in the Time Change thread. IT also had some bits for you and such.

I am sure you read it and will deal with it more later, but she had it early in the summer and knowns what she will need for the next year at Hogwarts.

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Two quick questions for a GM.

1.  Would you prefer that I hold off on my second Vacation thread post until after you've had a chance to respond to the first portion?  (Regardless, it will probably be at least a couple of days before the second post).

2.  Is the end of the year dance an end of the school year dance (in May) or an end of the calendar year dance (in December)?  Either way, I think it is very evil of the headmaster to make us spend months trying to decide who to ask and when to ask them.  =)

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Well Athene will have responded to Amanda's queries about makeup and anti itch at the appropriate time in the chronology; mainly giving advice as to the types of places to look for them (since she wouldn't know what brands would be available over there) and what terminology for Mrs. Davis to use.  She's probably mention getting makeup to cover up tattoos given the unusual nature of the color to be covered.

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
::nods::  The amusing thing is that a green rash probably doesn't seem all that odd to witches and wizards.  Amanda and her mother probably thought the reason that people were staring when they checked into the hotel was because of their clothing or just a fear that Amanda might be contagious.

In reply to Amanda Davis (msg # 851):

The end of year ball will be May 1. Let the torture commence. You mY post your second vacations post when you feel you have gathered enough data for it. The summer is very loose in order things. It is why all my posts are dated sk you can lnow what to react to when as you write.

Clear-ish?

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Ganiah:  Just a friendly heads up about something that you probably were unaware of.  I think the last time it was mentioned was in a post over a year ago.  I noticed that you were planning to have your parents be acquainted with the Carrorws and assume that you meant for them to be the parents of Thomas Carrow.  However, Thomas Carrow is an orphan and lives in the magical orphanage with Athene.  If you were wanting to select a family that lives in Hogsmeade, your options are Amandaís family, Claireís family, and Roran Thomasí family or if you want to go with a student that is one year younger than us Cynthia Potageís family.  Rolf MacNairís father lives in the groundkeepers hut near Hogwarts (which is within walking distance).

If you were trying to select an NPC that is not particularly fond of the PCs, your options would be Regulus Avery, Lysandra (who now lives with her Lestrange grandparents), and Dolores Yaxley.  Per Snape:  ďLysandra's core are Regulus and Rolf while Dolores and Tomas are more toward her than the Twins.Ē

Re: Still yet another O.O.C.
Actually the Carrows he is staying with are distantly related to Thomas.  Not sure of the exact relationship, but probably at least second cousins.
