Re: Episode 1: The Search for Luke Skywalker Begins

"Does it matter that much? I'm not so ill-connected to the world of business that I can't get my hands on a few *hard to acquire* items. Still, I'll be waiting for the heads up."

With a smug smile, one filled with pride and a bit of deviousness, Tehrk readies himself to deliver the goods along side Chemosh and the Jedi.

Tervax followed along silently, listening to the banter.  He cared not for how they entered, only if they needed heavy firepower to get out.

Leading the group down the path with Tervax covering the rear, Chemosh eventually made his way up to the massive blaster doors to the left of which was a comm panel. Pressing the call button, he turns to the group, hoping that everyone is ready as he awaits a response in answer to his summons.

"Good evening," says a female voice, several minutes later, "what brings you to Master Findos' residence at this time?"

"Good evening ma'am, I trust honesty is the fairest and most efficient of approaches? A mutual acquaintance informed us that with the right amount of spice, credits, and or flesh, an audience might be procured with the Master of this Abode. My name is Chemosh, and I'm on an Information Assurance Assignment. While no specific amounts were given, I trust that between the three commodities a sufficient amount of time might be bartered for in which we might pose a few questions." Chemosh says, all straight-forward and to the point.

"Honesty, you say?" The female voice crackles, "is that why we're detecting interference with our surveillance equipment ever since your group approached the compound, Master Chemosh?"

"Very well, we understand your reluctance, but it interferes with our security systems," the female voice said amiably, "perhaps the other members of your team won't mind leaving you behind, then? If so, please state what it is that they expect an audience for? You had mentioned three possibilities, are you offering any in particular?"

"Paraniod much?" She mutters to no one in particular. She smiles inwardly with the position that they've put Chemosh in, he's not likely to want to be left behind but he does seem to like his privacy, it must have been him that fuzzed out the camera's on the train before they even left the capitol. If he has them permanently running, it's enough to make a person wonder what he has to hide.

Chemosh offers Eso one of his brightest of smiles, but his words continue unabated towards the speaker.

"Sadly my retinue, while skilled in a variety of fields, feels that I am the most qualified for this encounter. If assurances can be made that you'll scrub all evidence of my existence from your records, I'll deactivate my countermeasures. As your employer will no doubt understand, discretion is a treasure into itself.

"As to the business at hand, we're looking for information regarding a person of interest. Verified intelligence has indicated that if any sort of leads can be procured, bartered, or paid for... your boss, named quite emphatically, is the man to speak with."

OOC: Sorry to keep you waiting folks.

"I'm sorry Master Chemosh, Master Findos reserves the right to use any information that he comes into contact with, including holographs of any visitors that come to do business with him and will not agree to any such purges. He is an information broker after all," the female voice says as she notes Chemosh's desire to remain anonymous, given that it was a rather peculiar tidbit of information that could possibly be used later on, "however, we understand that publishing informants' holos would be harmful for business. It's a form of leverage, you understand."

Agitation creeps into his expression, if not his voice. "A fair point conceded, though you would do well to cover your own backside in the event that he's ever so foolish as to release said holo's." Chemosh says, raising the hood of his Flight Suit and drawing his All Temperature cloak about him before dropping his electronic counter-measures. "Compensatory Damages are speciality for which I am well known."

"Your systems should be supplying clean feed now. Admit us.

Re: Episode 1: The Search for Luke Skywalker Begins

"And so it is," the female voice said over the comm as a holocam lense swiveled, and one can assume, made a zoom on the group. "Very well, we will accommodate a final audience. If you will wait a moment, I will be over to escort you."

The group is left to wait, however the lense stays directed towards the group, obviously taking everything and everyone into account. Moments later, the blast doors hiss open and you are greeted by a very clean and extremely polished silver TC model protocol droid. "Master Chemosh, please have your friends come this way, if you please," it asks with a small inclination of its upper body, gesturing with both hands for the group to enter. Beyond the droid is a beautiful marble foyer from which are corridors that come from every direction; all of which lead deeper into the compound. The foyer is richly adorned with art and plant-life, and it is clear that security was a priority when the facility was built.

Eso enters at the droid's suggestion. She still allows Chemosh to take the lead, giving the impression that he's in charge of the situation. She takes the surroundings in with a basic glance, looking for any obvious threats to their safety.

[Private to GM: I'll take 10 on a Search check, giving me a 20. I'll also do a Sense Surroundings check which Eso automatically succeeds.]

Re: Episode 1: The Search for Luke Skywalker Begins

The group is led through one of the richly adorned hallways, through a series of various rooms and twist and turns. The droid, however, takes its time cruising the hallways, in spite of the more aggressive pace the Chiss is trying to impose. Eventually the journey leads you to another section of the compound. This one, it is clear, is a very secure part of the facility, which are, as the droid explains, his master's personal chambers.

Eventually, the wary party passes through another massive blast door, and isn't too surprised when the entrance slams shut behind them. Finally, your droid guide simply stops.

[Private to Mirax Bey:
As  you progress  through the compound you sense no danger, though you do detect several droids out of view with their sensors on the party at all times. In the chamber itself, you feel the presence of someone nearby, at the center of the room. THough oddly, beneath the floor.

Tervax reaches back and brings his massive blaster rifle from off his back.

"This is already turning into a party.  Crime lords live in opulence, and want to impress you with how much they have on display.  This?  It's a trap."

He scans the area, looking for where the first threat will come from.

"Don't be paranoid, Life is a trap. This? This is a test." Chemosh says, quoting an old adage of his enigmatic race. To a Chiss, it was a comforting statement. Life, could NOT be escaped alive; A test, at least offered that possibility even if the odds didn't always favor it.

Re: Episode 1: The Search for Luke Skywalker Begins

Everyone looks around the chamber, wary and very conscious that they were pretty much at Findos' mercy. The way back was cut off, the way forward seemed to be unexistant, however, only Eso looked at the center of the chamber as if expecting something to come out through the floor. Eventually, something did just that. The smooth marble surface of the floor suddenly lowered and split with a rumble that shook you where you stood as the droid moved over towards your left, then turned around to watch you. There in the middle of the floor rose up a strange looking platform with what appeared to be a chair and desk. On which was a Neimoidian busy looking at a data screen next to him.

Eventually his eyes fixed themselves on the party, and then finally on Chemosh "Ahhh..." he said in basic, "what a pleasant surprise. What's this about?"

Chemosh strides forward a bit, then stops and places both hands behind his back. "A proposed Business Transaction." Chemosh sums up before expanding. "In it's simplest terms, you have something I want. In exchange, I'm willing to trade for it.

"May my associate approach to demonstrate the quality of our goods?"
The Chiss says, nodding to the side where Tehrk awaited. "Quantity is not limited to what I have brought with us, though in truth I rather believe it to be more than sufficient for what I would ask for in exchange." He continues vaguely, preferring to let the Nimodian get a good look at the offered goods before revealing what they sought.

Re: Episode 1: The Search for Luke Skywalker Begins

Stepping up and maintaining his smile, Tehrk pulls out all three bags of the spice and holds it out for the Neimoidian to see it clearly.

"There's a total of three large bags of glitterdust spice here. To my knowledge, this is high grade spice as well. We were a little strapped for transportation, so I've personally and carefully carried the three bags here."

Placing the spice just on the ground at his feet, Tehrk made it clear through body language that he was just as ready as anyone to leave it there once they got their information. However, doing what he could to pull off the facade of hired help, his hand notably rested at his side where his blaster visibly hung. It was fair enough, he considered, to let his actions pass at the least. His stance passed him off as someone who was at ease anyway.

Findos frowns and waves at the droid who immediate steps forward to pick up the offered packages. The droid's chest plate lowers, and the droid places them onto the internal tray and a green beam of light scans the items. Moments later, Findos' attention returns to his screen and reads the results. "Well..." he says looking back up, "you have my attention. Where's the rest... Of this?"

Chemosh smiles. "Where can I find Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker." The Chiss counters evenly without missing a beat. Chemosh suspected the spice might be tagged, it's what he'd do if he were in the business. Now they REALLY had his attention... Hopefully assumption of control of the entire shipment was enough to get the information they needed.

Findos' eyes narrowed dangerously, but then started laughing. "Oh! Now that is funny...! If you'd been wiser, you'd have asked a less publicly known answer. Master Skywalker doesn't want to be found, and not even I know where he is. Besides, even if I did know, it would cost you far more than a stash of glitterstim anyways. Now, you haven't answered my question. Where. Is. The. Rest. Of. This?" he said pointing towards the stim now in the Droid's frame.
