Well, I like both ideas honestly.  I have to be completely honest though I am terribly biased in this case.  Good Mando stuff gets me goin', and I do have a Mando character I've never really had a chance to get some good play with.  Plus, from an RP perspective since it's been so long, I kinda find it easier to start fresh than try to step back into an existing group and relearn a character from so long ago.

So... throw my vote in for the Mandos I guess!  But I'll gladly go with anything, even the wildcard Squadrons idea.  If everyone wants to do something with that I'll gladly help out with plot stuff.  I figure I have a solid base of experience to work with there, heh.

Well, a Mando game wouldn't be complete with some starfighter action...

I know that this isn't the vote you want to hear but, I will be equally happy in any of the three games that have been listed. So I would like to vote for whichever one Darkside wants to run the most.

Sounds like Eso wants to roll for Initiative. :D

BTW, if people wanted to redraft characters for this particular game (ie: you'd rather build up from scratch), nothing is stopping ppl from dying in that Space Lab. We can easily finish that episode - we're practically at the boss fight anyway.

My vote is going to go towards a Mando game as well. Are we still using old EU? I think it might be fun to have an old Republic Commando similar to Fixer whose genome was fixed before his accelerated aging got too far and he joined the Mandalorians.

Yes, EU, but would use my own creative license a bit... might as well discuss what is sacred to this group before I wade too far.

Honestly there's not a whole lot of *substance* to the Mandos in the EU even, and I think that's where more recent additions kinda went wrong.  They were a Warrior Culture that valued honor, and 'the way' or whatever you wish to call it.  Or, well, are.  They follow the Mandalore, provided the Mandalore has earned the right to be followed.  They're a surly bunch though, and while they are a warrior culture, warriors aren't the only thing they value.  Farmers, mechanics, etc, everyone has a trade - they just all also know to take up the sword if needed.

For me in particular, if we go with the Mando game, I'll be drawing on some history of the Supercommandos and their Codex for my character.  Mandalore of around 60BBY was Jaster Mereel, who founded them and tried to bring back the 'old ways', which I think was where the Death Watch came into prominence?  I dunno.

Either way, you're fine to get creative however you like honestly, you know what we're doing!

Oh, and I'd be on board with former clones being brought on board.  There's precedence in a number of cases, so it could be fun!

I will throw my vote at Option 4. I'm good with either. And that's not an apathetic 'option 4' either. I'm excited by both possibilities.

I really liked the way that the Mando were portrayed when Jaina was training with them.
