================================================== As the afternoon comes into full bloom, the cool breeze off of the Yanaze provides welcome comfort to alleviate the late spring heat. An open dockhouse of granite and sturdy wood overlooks the bustling efforts from a third-story pavilion. Though not the most crowded place at the docks, it does seem to be one of the most excitable, and merchants partake of refreshments and pungent cigars while arranging with the jovial man in the affected sultanic garb to deliver their goods and find spaces for their stalls. The Maharishi of Excellence has rented the majority of usable space in Trademeet, and is still in the midst of seeing that all of his guests and mercantile caterers are efficiently and effectively arranged all about, which is becoming more difficult with each new boatload that arrives. Still, this seems to also be the nearest party headquarters to the docks, as the Maharishi himself is obviously enjoying himself. Smiling and laughing and enjoying the aromatic smoke that wafts through and out of the open-air floor, he greets each person with a boistrous "Welcome, friends!" He seems to be in almost three places at once half the time, simultaneously discoursing on economic philosophy, telling newcoming merchants where to set up or newly arrived guests what rooms are available or where to pitch their tents, and enjoying idle conversation and partying banter. There is a bit of a clog on the broad wooden ramp around the outside of the dockhouse that leads to that top floor, however. It seems somebody lost track of a goat, and it is obliviously chewing on some paper notices hanging from a post halfway up, and blocking a quarter of the ramp with its body.

"Really. What's a goat doing unattended out here?" However, she makes her way (presumably with Amerin, Aya, Merlin and K in tow) towards where the Maharishi is known to be establishing Party Central, and looks around for the jovial god.

Merlin only has to fend off one pick-pocket, who ends up with a very bruised wrist. Otherwise, he is merrily following the beautiful lady along their way to the docks and the godling. So much hustle and bustle for such a small town!

"And you've brought friends, I see. Folks, it is an honor to meet you. Welcome to Trademeet Dale's Dockside Festhall!" he says with an expansive gesture. Though it's pretty clear that is not the use to which this dockhouse is usually put, it definitely is striving to fit the role right now.

"And indeed, I have had quite a profitable day thus far. We have so many interesting people in town, you know. I'd hoped to talk to you about some of them, and some of the fascinating things they say. Prognostications about the future, and such."

She indicates the teens flanking her. After all, they are part of the group, too.

To K, he says, while bowing over her hand as if she were a fine lady in high court garb, "K the Jester, of circus fame. A delight and honor to meet you in person, Madam. I had the privilege of seeing your troupe perform once before, several seasons back. It is always a delight to see superlative talent exercised with pride and class, and your circus is top notch. Top notch!" He turns to Amerin and Merlin, shaking each of their hands firmly (if they'll let him). His hands are warm and dry, only slightly pudgy. They feel almost disappointingly...human. But the grip is firm and personable as he says, "Any friends of Beatrix's are friends of mine. I hope you gentlemen will be attending K's show. You're in for a real treat." Finally turning to Aya, he bows over her hand as he did K's. "Did you know that 'Aya' is one of my top-ten all-time favorite female names? Lovely to meet you, Madam. I hope these two scallywags have been showing you the professionalism you paid for. "I'm sure Madam LeSchaye has already mentioned this, but propriety demands I introduce myself, as well: I am the Maharishi of Excellence, merchant, trader, and connoisseur of the finer things in life. I'm pleased you all came to attend Miss LeSchaye's celebration," he says before lowering his voice and pulling the group a little away from the rest. It almost seems natural, except that he manages to separate from Hun and Poe as well. "I'm not sure If I should mention this, but...okay, it just has to be asked: How did so many Solars and Lunars find their way here, together? Did you come as a group to meet Beatrix? I didn't realize I was hiring so august a performer when I contacted you, Madam Jester. I should have trusted my gut and checked when I saw your performance before, but I was too busy being stunned by the superb show. But to have so many together...I am truly awed. It's an honor, Ladies and Gentlemen. Truly an honor." The more paranoid might worry that eavesdroppers could listen in on the pretext of needing to see the Maharishi, but he somehow manages to interpose himself between any who approach and this private little group, and deal with them separately without so much as breaking stride or cadence in this conversation. And he makes it look easy.

Merlin gives a bow with a flourish to the godling. "Ah, but you see, with the exception of Lady LeShaye, we already all know each other and have done services for creation together. I came in search of an incarnation of a former friend of mine in the east.....and lo and behold the good Lady is here. Amerin and I did not even intend to stop here, but the crew of the ship could not be persuaded to not stop. Although I do not believe in fate for beings such as ourselves, I do believe in divine intervention. We were brought together before to serve a purpose, so I assume this has happened again. The only real question then remains, what is that purpose?"

Beatrix smirks. "Well," she says "There is the small matter of a hypothetical war breaking out locally." Her tone, although ironic, is friendly rather than mocking.

With a smile Merlin inclines his head, the information having now been shared with the Maharishi, he awaits the godling's reaction to the news. I wonder if the Lady might want to become the ruler of not only this little burg, but of that other nation. Then Ma-Ha-Suchi will have to contend with a circle of Solar instead of a few mortals and god-blooded. Perhaps Suchi's attitude will change....hopefully for the better.

Without breaking stride of that conversation, the sultanic god also focuses his attention on Merlin, commenting, "A prior incarnation of a Solar out this way? If it IS Lady LeSchaye, that would be quite a coincidence. I don't believe in coincidences like that. Where did you hear she was your friend's reincarnation?"

Merlin smiles, but says, "I am sorry to inform you that I was not given specific information. The general information I was given, was given by a being that predates the Shogunate. It said that the person I was looking for left the hinterlands and went East to build a nation, a very long time ago. I am making an assumption, which is dangerous, but the similarities are staggering. I think you agree that while looking for a friend and comrad of a former incarnation that I should accidentally meet the Lady who seems to be in the process of what my quarry was set upon doing so long ago."

"How are you aware of what we are?" Another, lesser shrug. "And, to be blunt, I am here to make sure you....are you."

While to Aya, he says, "I am a god; I have a knack for such things. Though to be honest, I just noticed the Lunar's Tells, or I wouldn't have been able to tell them from Sidereals," he offers with a good-natured grin. "I don't think the Sidereals would appreciate the comparison. They do like to think themselves above it all. But, you came here to see me? I'm flattered! How is it you know me, that you would be concerned I really am myself? I do hope you don't mind me being a bit beside myself," he jokes as he simultaneously directs another newly-arriving merchant to a good place to set up his tent-side store in the still-growing festival-filled Dale, "but it's a zoo, today!" She hesitates, before patting her side. "I have several older history books. One mentioned you vanishing, and....that was it. There were some...dealings...with fae, not too long ago, and I wanted to make sure it was not someone pretending to be you, for...trouble." She shrugs, once more, leaning on her parasol. "Even if you are not...you do seem to be doing nothing but helping this place, and thus, I can find no fault."
