 Lester  looked at her.....30  would be a nice Plot  starter... what say.. i give you an even 500 Creds?..   once  we start growing them...if  we can?.. the  seeds  will flood the market..but  until they  do..  that's a pretty  sum?

  as she looked around she   saw   farmer  working..  there were some  kids , that maybe..should have been in school..helping..  Some  woman were visiting  with a farmer    with a Lunch pail.. a pair of them   kissing    as   they sat on the  bed of a hover truck.

"Well...When I was chatting with Annerson he mentioned them being about 1000 for the lot.  I do have to split the bill with him." Okay she knew his opening bit and he knew hers now was the haggling part. "Also..since I got a couple of friends watching and waiting, I'll show the goods.  So you know I am on the level" of course they didn't need to know she was alone, but a little white lie never really hurt and last thing she wanted was to get jacked.  She pulled the seeds out to show 30.  "He also mentioned that often the ratio is 1 in 4 that get growing.  About 8 or so plants atleast to get started"
The man listened and pretty much realized.  she was not a rank amateur, Plus he knew Annerson and was a fair dealer.  in a short order Nikki had 1000 creds and the man had 30 Nivarian Purple Melon seeds.  "If I come across any more and am back here again I'll look you up.  Or perhaps you could recommend someone else who might be interested.  Melon was good too.  Tasted like a ripe cantalope" and it was tasty.  She bid the man good bye and grabbed the taxi back to the condo to change, and onto the beach.

 Shadow     drove along the street until as a leisure  pace.. he saw  vans  comign with more  drinks towards the Beach..other such  vans  were parked  elsewhere , unloading   for other  parties... Bands  were playign  some  folks were  shooting  fireworks off towards the water

 some place  traffic  elevated, so they wouldn't hit    clumps or party people..then  he  rose ,  going a little faster   until the   entered the  Stem.. then began to red Line the VAn.

 Look at the front of the Stem here?... its  like  part of the station!..they  keep  reclaiming   thier  stem will add  thousands of peopel and Jobs out here...

Melia whistled softly at the aerial view of the expansion. It had progressed so much since they'd last been through the area on an op. She did a series of last minute discrete checks of her equipment before settling back in her seat waiting patiently.

   Nearing  The Lower's Entrance.. Shadow COMed   back, will be   exiting  in about   a minute... will trun to the North and drop fown  to roff level when   i see the store, For  Roy....

   Just as they Left the mouth of the lowers,  a few Fuji SEC  cars  passed them on teh way to the Beach... seems  like some folks had to prove  which of thier ships  were  the best...

  slowing as they neared the  Store roof.. Shadow  dipped below  the   store   roof  and Glided witht he lights out.. slowly  turning  to   balance on the edge of the roof  to Left  Roy out.

 .... i want everyone to keep this in mind... The Stem is still the Stem..even if   they ahve reclaimed a bit on  either  end..... it is still dark..and dangerous...., to that end?.. if this goe s bad.. don't ty to travel the  Stem, unless you have a ride...  the most important thing  right now.. is   the 'Why Not?" Toy stores... one  down here.. one  in the Uppers.. they are SAfe  houses  for  people in  our line of  work... if things  go real bad,,  spread out..and head to the store.. its  only a block away from ESN  HQ..You walk in.. pick up a Hermes Action figure  and  ask them if they have  any of that figure in a Black  enviro suit... they will take you into the back.. and  call for a ride...this isn't a terribly , important  Mission.. but anytime we get to knock off   bad guys..its good....Nothign stupoid... we just get in..kill and get out..   Shadow   Pulled up the Collar of a    work Jacket  As he  and  Melia  walked up the far  side of the street.  There   were  two   guards  near the  Northwest Corner.. they had  dog...

 .. we got   two troopers  and  a  dog.. we'll have to walk by a bit.. then circle back..

    A little girls voice comes from under Joe's hood.  "Okay mister.  That's a cute doggy.  I wonder if he likes to play fetch." The little figure tosses an egg timer up and down in "her" hand.


    The little street urchin hurries down the side walk towards the Guards with her head down as if she's just trying to move by.

Roy set up away from the edge of the roof, initially.  One of the secrets to countersniping was to not pick an obvious shooting point.  HVAC equipment, with its assorted conduits, pipes, and ducts, provided a lot of well-obscured shooting perches.

He'd assembled the rifle on the ride there, so once he felt he had himself out of sight and moderately covered, he got the rifle into position, looking for the snipers in the locations indicated on Gresh's disc.

   Lookig to the  North.. Roy can see two Guys on the roof,,One is smoking.. thier  Dog   is peering over the edge  of the wall at the two guards  Shadow and Melia  are walking.

 both  gaurds   are close to the Northwest Corner.. there  are  some guards  walkign the grass  One pair    walkign away from the main GAte to the east , have a dog

Melia stepped out of the van wearing a nondescript long women's raincoat with her carbine slung underneath it and hanging under her arm hiding it from view. She kept her hands tucked casually in the large front pockets of the coat Verian pistol in one hand and her throwing knives in the other. As she stayed about a half step behind Shadow approaching the guards.

  Roy's   scope sighted  on  the Guard    closet to the wall .. the cough of the   weapon sent  the   round  down range  Lifting the   Guard off his  feet...

 The  Dog  Turned  around  as the    other  guard  started  to look around..

   Shadow started to Moe  with purpose  to the   fence Drawing thier attention and the Attention of the dog  towards them..

  ..hey  , Fella..Late Night?... one of the guards   said  with a bit of a smile.

The dog started  to grrr..

 the   bars that heals the   metal  pikes where, easy  enough  for shadow  to climb.. he stated to change his pace, so he  could make a  runnign start at the rungs ..do it now ..Beth...

 Joe  Mac  walked  closer to the main Gate.. two guards  stood there.. they didn't have a check point.

 Like  the  Dog  at  Shadow and Melia's  corner.. it  began  to  grrrrr.

 Beth  hit the  send  Button on her #2  Vidboard..... there  was a   3 second Flicker  of the  Lights going Black, in the whole  section.. at that  same   time.. beth sent  a   3 second  Vid  to   the 4 of the Multi Cam pics    from the SEC  control  room.

 when the Black  went  Black  Shadow  ran  His   foot hit the   first   rung, his  had  hit the Second   as he leaped over.. when he  came  Down, His verian    Blew  the Dogs  hea dot  Pudding..  he   tackle the    Guard on the  Right   his  trench  Knife  Movine in.. Trusting Melia to  get the second guard.

    Joseph's ability to target on sounds and remember what he had last seen mapped the environment perfectly.  In the dark he smoothly drew the suppressed pistols and from beneath his cloak and fired at near range into the dog and the guard with it then turned and unloaded  4 more into the other guard.  He pauses searching for more problems before attempting to enter.

As soon as he confirmed the first guard down, Roy put his sights on the second.  The dog, for now, was trivial...it wouldn't start shooting back.

Crosshairs settled squarely on center torso, he squeezed the trigger smoothly, sending a round downrange after the remaining guard on the roof.

  Roy's   seocnd   Shot     took the   2nd  sniper  down.. the  Dog ran around  on the   roof     barking.

 Joe Mac  took out the  two  guards  and the  Doc, finishing, just as the Lights   came back on.
 The  GAte  was closed..  the  two guards   near the House ( some  50 yards  away )  were looking up at the Lights..

 as to But  time.. another section of  power  went out.. also  for  3  seconds.. about   3  Blocks  away..

    It was a risk and previous risks had not turned out well but Joseph checked to make sure his guards were not visible through the gate (dragging them out of the way if needed) then puts his hands on the bars near the edge, gazing forlornly into the compound.

Roy debates for a moment...the dog barking on the roof would draw attention...but it would also alert people that something was wrong, since the rooftop guards weren't quieting it.

Stealth won out.  He set sights on the dog, waiting for it to pause in its pacing, and sent another round through its ribs.  He wasn't anywhere near as familiar with the 'instant kill' locations on dogs...but a round of that size and speed would be fatal just about anywhere in the chest or abdomen, and with its lungs compromised, the dog wouldn't be barking.

When the dog was down, he did a slow survey of the yard between Shadow and the house, watching for any potential threats...

  Guards   to each other.. some poitned to the  next Block of   'black out'
..  thinking it  was somehting  that was   happenign elsewhere  as well.

   From the  Doors  thet  lead to the drive way, a pair Of Guards   pointed at  Joe Mac..

 the  other    pair  with the  Dog was  , well to the  east.. and , it looked like another   pair  might be   to the northeast.

 The Dog  stopped  to Nudge   his  HAndler.. and BArked  more...from time to time.. then would  raun around the roff , heading to the  Door  way, then back to his HAndler… the  2nd  time..  The top  half of the dog vanished..

Melia had kept pace with Shadow drifting back a whole step as he accelerated towards the fence, her approach to the fence was less a vault and more of a leap and grab rolling forward over the fence coming up from a roll her verian pistol in her hand. As the second guard turned to react to Shadow's assault. Her pistol coughed once. Dropping the man as she rose to her feet surveying the area for other threats then checking on Shadow's work on the other guard.

Not being able to leap tall fences with a single bound Joseph stood outside the gate and acted as a distraction.

  The Night , thus far, hadn't Given them away, Shadow  took the Power cells from the   guard he  killed, side  arm and  Rifle.

   appointing to the    shrubs    by the Building he  ran   .. coming around the North East  Corner,  towards them.. were   2 Guards  with a  Dog..

  ...2 guards  and a Dog  coming from the   East... They won't see the Bodies  Until they get alot  closer.. But..there is no  Door here...There MAy be a  BAck door  down the  North side we  won't know.. Until we take care of them.

 .. ..If they  set off an alarm?.. start droppign anyone  you see walking around...

   to Melia  he says,..the Guards  have to go down forest.. the dog  second... Dogs can't use COMs.

 he   crouched in the   shrubs, pulling  the Hood of the enviro suit over his head, Spinning  the   Trench  knife  in a   circle   befor clutching it..

Roy hunter with his scope for the guard trio Shadow had mentioned.  "We can take all three at the same time, if I can get a bead on them...your call..."  Even though he was fairly far away from the house, his voice was a low, steady murmur, full of patience.

If the guards were, as Gresh's intel suggested, either EDT or working with EDT, he had no qualms about taking all of them out.

oh?  They all go  down, that isn't even a question..Melia  and I are  about  1o yards  deep, along  the North wall.. Don't know  what  angle you  Have... But  we'l let the   walk until they   get near the  Bodies..If you see them.. take them..otherwise e  we'll pounce.. time isn't a friend  tonight.

Melia quickly stripped the downed guard of weapons, ammo, and powercells. She also quickly patted him down for access keys and other useful items before pulling her own hood up as she slipped into the bushes. "Understood." she says in reply to the directive to kill the guards first and the dogs second. She crouched pulling out her pair of angel steel throwing knives. Waiting for the right moment to spring their trap.

  The  Guards   walked  down  the   fence  Line, looking for the Other  Guards.. Shadow shakes his ehad   and  coils   for the  attack..but  waits.

 Roy can see the     Dog, Just ahead of the  guards..but  not the Guards  as of yet.. the    Dog looks  alerted.. its head  looking around....

  Joe MAc   see the Guards at the MAin entrance... they  seem to be Lokign around... the other   two  at teh  west side of the LAwn, have  turned.. thier Dog a bit ahead of them, Heading back Joe Mac's way

   Joseph has a shock grenade in his hand but his hands are up and away from his outfit holding on to the bars so the guards won't suspect him of reaching for the guns that are so readily available.  As they approach a little girls voice will ask "Mister? Have you seen my mommy?"
