Melia peaked down the stairs, noting the mess she'd made. I got the two we knew of, no idea if there's more. Stairs are on fire though she says rising to her feet she nods to Joe, scooping up the grenade he'd offered and started to follow Shadow up the stairs. When things went to hell in a handbasket, seeing the remaining guards she twists the dial on the grenade for about 4 seconds and lobs it at the two guards chasing with a burst from her carbine. "9 hells what did you do up there?" she asks over the comms

  Shadow reached the 2nd  Floor    he  ha d a wry smile on his  face....they brought in a Heavy landing Shuttle.... Houses  weren't made for Heavy Landing Shuttles..he   Put the Brief  cases  down  , went to the dead  guards  they others  had   snuffed, , dragging one to the  Stairs,,,  Dropping it on the fire..

 we can't go up.. there  is  still a  bunch of bad guys  up there.. and they'll be a bit angry... we  head out  through the  front  door...or?.. we'll be trapped in here  like   everyone else...

 ..Shooter.... we're Gonna  come from the front  door.. the    roof  is  falling in by the foot and by the yard.. and the  dumbassed  shuttle pilot    has..literally ..crashed  and Burned..

 then he turned to   Joe MAc....Ok...   we have  3  steps before the fire..then you have to step on the body  to jump the  last  3 steps... if you don't think you  can make it..   Jump on My BAck and hang on...what do you think?

 he Motioned for  Melia to take a brief case, he had his sanri out  again     as the third  Floor   crashed..and the groans  above them  said the 2nd  wasn't going to be far behind

   Roy's  round   Blew through the Back  of the FAke  Fuji guard.. he  flew  forward, but didn't  quite catch up to  his   intestines.

 The other Guard  Moved     ahead.. he  was  now  halfway between the  stairs  and the    Main dor..when he saw a Body of    a house guard   fall onto the stairs.

  Roy  listens  to Shadow's   COMs... he studies the  roof.. the east wall is  Bucking inwards  with teh   'pull' of the Big Shuttle he can see one or two bodies   writhing  in the  fire   two floor below   as  the  craft slow     pushes towards the  first floor.

  On the  Roof  the   Fake  Fuji   Van is   pointing towards  the   sloping  and  breaking     center...

 The Commander Is being helped Over  a   Duct system , as   the  5  troopers ( counting the  Commander)  gather   towards the North   east   corner.. One of the Guard s  is waving the  small shuttle over to them

"Not sure how many are inside the house, I just took down one at the door.  There's only one on the ground right now...he's hunkered down on the north side of a fake FujiSEC van parked on the street, I don't have a good angle on him, but if you get to the doorway, Patches should have an easy shot with the carbine and the van would be a good fast exit for us."

He looked up at the roof...and decided to add a little more insult to injury (or fatality to injury, more realistically).  If he could get a clear shot at the commander, he'd take it.  If not--or afterwards, if he did get a good shot--he'd fire at anyone who looked like they were offering any sort of constructive leadership.  'Disorient and demoralize' was a common core principle of most sniping missions.

Melia took the briefcase, and lead the charge stepping on the body and leaping through the flames, "Got it shooter," she responded running ahead for the doorway. Finding a loop on her vest to haphazardly clip the briefcase too, freeing up her second hand and allowing her to use her carbine. She moves towards the door, wary of the unaccounted for EDT trooper still inside the building.

 Shadow   waited for   Joe Mac.. the    crashing sound s around them, and Muffled screams from those who were hiding in the    , unchecked  Rooms.

  once Jpe made his choice of a ride or Not.. Shadow   would step on the Body    and   Jump through the   flames.. Lookign around  for the spare  Trooper.

  Melia could see the VAn ..she was  about 10 yards  from the front  door.. the Trooper  was  Kneeling    by the Van talkign on his  headset.. his weapon was  at the door.

 from the Office.. the spare  trooper   started to make his move.

 On the  Roof..  a trooper waved   the personal shuttle in closer,  even as   flames    climbed up the  landing shuttle the    crashing  walls    and   falling  floors  adding   kindling, while the  Metal just kept the heat in  to raise the Temp

 The Commander  was on...an..Omni COM?.... an Omni COM....on a station?

Yep, Joe is on board, he runs with them

  Shadow  Hits the    floor..    and Moves  to  Follow   Melia,, his  left hand has the brief case.. his  right hand the  Sanri.

 Ok  ..  when we  get to the Grass,, Hop off.. if  we can't   use that van   we'll have to make it to ours...

 The     spare  trooper  steps out of the office as they  run By...

 Melia  can now  clearly see the VAn trooper.

Melia drops to a knee watching down her sights trusting Shadow or Joe to pick up the spare guard, as soon as her sights line up with the van guard she squeezes the trigger twice sending two quick rounds down range before falling forward into a prone position to reduce her profile for either guard.

  The GUard   slams  against the   Van..his eyes   wide  , not having  a thouhth  of  rounds  coming ..OUT..of the Building

  ..let;'s  get to the  Van... get Shooter and get the  9 hells out of here...

  There was   the groan of    stressed  metal  as the     Shuttle's    stern  shifted   down the  Broken   walls  and    Roof.. outside    the  south west corner of the  Building was burning as the    Van that  wrecked  and the    shrubs  blazed

 the    spare Guard     raised  his  rifle  and  fired at them as the    went  through the Door  way....

 Roy  saw the    figure  jerk and  fall , by the Van...  he   could  see the tail end of the shuttle   slipping towards  the    roof, breaking of    large chucks of  rood  nad collapsing more of the wall..

 taking an easy shot.. he   hit  a trooper  who was  standing  near the   Omni COm, sending the fellow   forward and over the    north  wall

 the  smaller   shuttle was trying to   get close   enough to  pick up   troopers...there  were Now   4 troopers and the Commander.. One was   reaching for the  skids.. the other  where hunkered  down behind the ducts.

 Shadow  stumbled  Out..of the  door wat, but  caught himself and continued to  run..

Joseph was as close to Shadows tail as he could be with the bum leg, his guns drawn.

Melia rose to run through the doorway, and as she took her first step something slammed into the side of her upper chest spinning her through the doorway and throwing her to the ground. Groaning she immediately rolled to her feet and took off from a modified runners stance not wanting to be in the building when the whole thing came down. The shooter inside could deal with that instead of their fleeing forms. As she sprinted for the van left arm holding the briefcase from swinging the right holding her carbine. For her the pain is manageable, but still she cursed vehemently over the com, "9 fucking hells that stings, I'm hit but still moving. I took a round to my right side from the trooper still inside. Watch that door Shooter."

Melia slid into the drivers seat throwing the briefcase on the floor, and unclipping her small med bag, and tossing it next to the briefcase. Waiting until Shadow and Joe were in the van she guns it aiming to loop around the block and come up behind Roy. Once we're clear my medic bag is down there, there's foam, and some other basics. Patch yourselves up.

 Shadow   grimmaced  ,,,the  bastard  got me in the same  place the other Bastard knifed me..

 The  Van  Left.. Kitchen folks were   long gone into the City.....When you   pick up Roy.. I want you to  swing around at that shuttle... he    ha s  angry and    it showed..

 there was only  a  20 yard  section of  roof  left..  the  Shuttle  was  having trouble  getting  close  to the shaking  walls

 The Landing  shuttle    finally  fell the whole way into the  building,  sending Up    flames  and debris...  screams  could be heard, if one listened..

 ..overwatch?.... you  sent a santitiaze  feed to the Asteroid  Field..even if LAdy V isn't there.... They'll get it to her.

Melia nodded, the cool air from the vans climate control blowing across her burnt skin exposed by the pulse blast causing a rather sharp prickling sensation which she continued to ignore for the moment. She swooped the van around, so Roy had a side door for easy boarding. Once he'd joined them she punched it swinging around at the shuttle.

Roy kept an eye on the door until the van was clear, then took a few potshots at anyone left on what was left of the rapidly crumbling roof.   When the van arrived, he clambered inside quickly.

"Not sure who they were talking to, but that last shuttle team was using an Omni-Comm...that's pretty heavy hardware for simple internal comm traffic on a station..." He'd lost count of how many people they'd put down, but it was definitely a high enough number to put a pinch on EDT operations.

"Surprised FujiSEC wasn't challenging heavy shuttles like that operating inside the station...no legitimate reason for them to be in the air anywhere away from the docks..."

  Shadow  winced  a bit  still in a Foul Mood.....Joe Mac..get Back here.. Melia?... I  want one  pass over that roof... Roy  will take a shot at that  Shuttle .. me and Joe   will empty  our  weapons on the troops  that were left on the roof... If you see the Omin Com.. take   the  operator out..

 As  Melia    circles   around, the trooper s didn't take too much notice in the  odd marked  FUJI SEC   van.. when Melia   gave the word,  shadow  Kicked open the  door  and   Blasted   with the Sanri.., even after the Van was past   hits  range..

..He  Did hit One  fellow  when he first fired, hard enough that he fell Into   the   burning shuttle  Flames Below.

 The Shuttle pilot  Looked at the Back of the Van in horror...

Melia circled around as per instructed bringing them in as tight as she dared. I'm no shuttle pilot, but I hope this will do. Also you could've borrowed my carbine, hard ammo with a spray and spray mode. she calls over the noise of the firearms. Adjusting the throttle to slightly increase their time over the target to give Roy a cleaner shot on the shuttle.

   Joseph waited until he had good targets and then fired without mercy.  When he finished his clips he dropped them and swung his arms behind his back.  There was a click and he brought his arms back with fresh clips and started firing again k

Roy noticed the change in speed.  "Just give me a smooth departure angle," he commented.  "With those two leaning out, I'll get better shots out the back door at anyone who tried to take cover when they opened up..."

He went to the back, taking a moment to rig at least some rudimentary tether, then propped the door open and went prone.  So, the shuttle pilot, if his eyes were sharp enough, got a view of the business end of the Largran rifle Roy was using...for about half a second.  Then he got a millisecond view of the bullet coming at him...

Roy took his time, popping shots at anyone else who broke cover, until they were far enough away that the angle made the chance of a through-and-through killing a neighbor too high.  He loosened the tether, closed the door, then took a seat.

"Well...not the ideal way to give Koffel a thank-you-card, but I'm pretty sure he won't be doing anything more.  He's not competent enough for them to trust with a position of authority, and his position as a front for them is completely compromised, now...about all they can do is retire him back to Earth or maybe Olympus...odds are good he winds up on a shuttle to a Demon feed ship."  He looked back as the flames climbed higher, and added, "That's assuming he was somehow competent enough to get out..."

  Shattering Metaglass  and the   Jerk of the shuttle as plunged downward into the   Fence  along the   west..as the  nature  of shattered  Powercells go..the  flame s Began to lick  up from under the   craft.

 After  Joe  Mac  and Roy finished shooting  only the  Commander   was left.. and he showed a few  wounds as he clung to the sagging  wall, the   crumbling  roof  reaching for him like a sinking craft...instead of  water  waiting for him.. Hungry flames.

 The Omni COM was hit  by a largran  rifle round.. Joe Mac  had  hit the operator twice...the Body    tumbled into the flames  as Roy closed  the  door.

  Shadow was  angry..he had been stabbed and shot?.. how does that happen?..he didn't get a  confirmed  Kill on Koffel..and he still had the coupling in his  pocket.

 ..You guys did good, would have been  a hornet's nest for me to try to go in alone. . reaching in  the side   pocket, pulling out  some Loose  Cred Bills, he  handed them to Joe MAc....not  much  for a job like this..but you can use it as  street cred, if someone  asks  why 'they saw you'... Just another contract?... if you don't want it.. take it   for the Girls  at your  store.

 Take Us to  the Hotel Back entrance...Melia.. Then we all gotta get back  down to the beach, so we can be seen..

Once they'd moved out of range Melia punched the throttle listening to Gresh and Shadow bicker, "ya know Shadow, or Roy if you are done patching yourselves up could someone apply some foam to my right side," She glances down at the nasty burn wrapping around the top and side of her breast down to the middle of her side, "you might have to get to know my chest a little better than you wanted but I'd rather skip the risk of infection. or further damage by brushing it against anything" she explains as she guides the shuttle through traffic. Weaving a indirect yet expeditious route back to the condos.

  Shadow  was a bit awkward, but..pragmatic ..  using the 'spoon' that was part of the can Lid, to  move the foam around the  edges of the  wound..

 ..that should be killing some  germs and such.... he replaced the can lid  and put  the  stuff in the Bag..  they were popping out of the  Stem.. with teh white sands  in sight.. and the Beach dotted  with party fires.

 he  sat back  down, thumped the side of the  VAn once more.....dammit.. i hate  losing...
