Melia took off on the first sprint, keeping in mind this was the first rotation of 3, she had the slight advantage of having practiced the movements in the gear so her vest fit as well as was possible. As she finished the first sprint she dropped down smoothly as if diving behind cover and into her first burpee. Ten burpees didn't seem like a lot at the start, but by the time they reached the last cycle they'd be gassed and suddenly the simple movement would become much more daunting.
Transitioning into the individual tactical movement drill she chants the tried and true mantra of 'I'm up, he sees me, I'm down.' under her breath dropping to the ground. Each time she hit the ground she charged and dry fired her carbine, to simulate returning fire, and providing covering fire for others moving. This drill being half of a buddy team movement exercise for moving under fire. At the marker she fired again "click", and then began to low crawl keeping her hips and torso low moving on her knees and elbows at a steady pace. Again the movement wasn't hard it was the cumulative distance which would simulate the wearing down of a soldier during a combat operation.
Arriving at the first dummy she quickly uses the training bandage to treat the weighted dummy's leg, before rising and rolling into a fireman's carry from the ground (

Sliding the dummy from her shoulders and onto the litter she quickly works the straps with a practiced hand securing the dummy to the litter. Moving to an end she squats and lifts the end and takes off dragging the heavy litter behind her, body leaning forward. By this point Melia has started breathing heavily but she continues to push on. She drops the litter and unfastens the dummy, and takes off on the next sprint.
Coming up at the end of the 300 meter sprint she takes a few deep breaths and drops into the pushups. She knows she's pushing herself a little hard early, but in her mind she's determined to set a good pace for the others. As she finishes the last sprint of the first rotation and shifts into the squats she shakes her head. Two more cycles to get back to the start point. Up ahead she sees the Guardian a little distance away as he finishes his first 2 miles of the three mile loop. A more considerable distance behind him is the tech struggling with her vest. Melia smiles a bit, through her breaths before launching herself into the the next cycle.
Somewhere midway around the loop she passes Roy headed the other direction in the other lane. She can feel the fatigue starting to set in, and its at this point the exercise truly hits its endurance aspect.
At the start of mile three she can feel she's dragging, the gear isn't much more than she normally carries but all the extra movements, the crawls, burpees are starting to take a toll when combined with the added weight. At the 47 minute mark she finally stomps across the start line again, and drops into the last 50 squats. Tagging the guardian to take off she breaths for about 30 seconds before taking off on the 3 mile loop knowing there is a break when she's done.
