Teela stepped out of the lift and saw some of her friends sitting there and waved. Harry and Will looked like they needed some couple time so she moved to sit at the table with the LC and Shade. "Good evening everyone." She smiled at Justin and gave Ellen a small look before giving Larry some head rubs, avoiding his back where he had some obviously treated wounds.

 Shadow   nods  with his half smile,..he  either missed us... or glad  to  see us alive... or he wanted a steak!

 ..I thought there  would be  more people  here?

 from what i hear, most of them came here  after leavign the   dance.. got some  eats and drinks  and   went to thier quarters

 ..sp?.. anyone  know what started the mess at the DAnce?.. I mean.. no one was shooting when i left?

 ..I was outside?... but   they say someone  shot that Brother  Vampic  guy, and    all 9 hells broke loose..

  He Nodded to Teela, and  pointed to the   server,..tell her  what you wnat.. its on me... Get.. Justin's  too, Miss?

"Thank you, LC. I'd like a slice of pizza with sausage and bacon and a dark ale." She looked at the LC. "I've taken quite a liking to human food and drink lately. I've found pizza and a nice stout go well together."

Teela's eyes darkened some at mention of the dance and the Vampic. "Things went...sideways? that is the human expression? at the dance after Brother Forrest suffered a fatal case of lead poisoning."

Justin gave Shadow a grateful smile. Could you double my order thanks Olivia he prompted. When Anteela rocked he gave her a wave. Hi Teel. Thanks for the extra ammo and party poppers, you got them to us in the nick of time. The Brother got a dose of Lead I thought they could only be put down by a wooden stake in the heart.

"I'm pleased I was able to get them to you when you needed them most. Those traitors looked well entrenched." She took a sip of her ale. "I don't know about wooden stakes in the heart but a silver bullet between the eyes did the job most efficiently."

Taking the love birds order Olivia sent it through, then headed to the group of Flyers gathered on the platform. Right you are Dearie, Two Regular and one small pizza, two steaks raw, standard and small bowl of pasta, with white sauce, four Hero's and Shakes. Would there be anything else? she asked tapping the order into her notepad.

    Shadow Processes the Information.wow?  He got shot? kinda  bad thing  to happen at  something like that.. I mean.. we've add assassination  attempts, and  fights....9 hells?  we  might  always have stuff  like that.;.. I know the Admiral was  doing something with him and the  Director , I think that's why he got me out of there.

   Shadow chuckled at Justin's  order and Nodded to Olivia  as she took the orders.

Sure was, it put a damper on the do. Had to spend a the remainder of the evening crawling around in my ballgown, probably have to give it the heave ho.

Nikki (in clean clothes, and slightly damp hair in a braid) got off the lift and could see others filling up the tables.  She made her way down to a table and sat.  She still had the wound on her bicep, but it was fading fast.  It would be gone when 8 hours were up.  The food smelled ssssoooo good.  Her stomach grumbled.

  we  don't have too  much info.. but   we were lucky....CAptain Morris, Mann.. Dusk.. are in bad shape, but   should pull through..  Athena  and Zeus   lost a couple, one of thier   better  Pilots .. I guess it balances  out out.. the bad  guys lost a bunch ..

  ..i would be   over  upset, if i end up dying  at a BAll, and not in a cockpit.

 Shade  shakes his head  and  bleeps...

 well? yeah? the whole idea is  to not  die.. I'm just saying.

  Turnign to Olivia he says,..if your dress  us  a write off?..order  on off the Net from  Etna.. and    tag me on the bill.

Teela looked up and at the LC. "I'm the one who shot him, LC. I'm not going to sit here whilst you talk about it and be the coward who didn't admit to what she did. I shot him for what he did on Transport T-54."

    Shadow   stopped smilign for a bit, the looked at Teela,..what did he  do?.. he was at the Ball? He was..at least when i left... witht eh Board  and the  Director?...

 Ellen  looked around, and   began to take more interest in  Larry.

Teela sighed and set down her drink. "Transport T-54 was crewed with mercenaries and Vampics, some 200 of them in the cargo hold with hundreds of humans and other races crammed into cages as we've seen far too many times. Men, women, children, to be used as breeding stock and food for the Vampics. We took control of the bridge and saw this on the cargo hold monitors. I ordered comms from the transport, the hold, and our comms to the Admiral and Commander to be linked together with Brother Forrest's. I gave the Vampics in the hold an out - I told them they would be allowed to leave the ship alive but they refused. Forrest refused to give them the order to stand down and told them to follow the orders of their officers. I gave them three chances but they began to set up defences in the hold and firing positions in front of the cages."

She took a deep drink from her ale and when she looked up again her irises had gone from silver to deepest black. "They opened fire on the cages when the Marines from the Ampere began their assault on the hold. 20 civilians, five children, were blown apart by their weapons. My squad and the Marines killed every last merc and Vampic on the ship, all of the ones responsible for the massacre were dead save for one. I asked the Admiral for permission to give my report in person which he granted. I gave my report and asked him for permission to deal with the last Vampic responsible for the butchery on Transport T-54 and when it was granted I shot Forrest right between the eyes with one of their own weapons.

That's when all hell broke loose."

 Shade let out a  small metallic  moan.

 Shadow  rubbed his forehead a moment,..i am not  goign to argue the point... i have been know to do a few stupid  things in my career....but i will also point out, that i never..once... in doing so, endangered the Admrial or  Commander........ seeing how you aren't in the Brig..at very least...I must assume   They weren't  overly upset...but.... now  i know  why Med  Tech is ful of  folks who were dancing, while we  were out  getting double crossed....

  he shrugs,..don't.... ... put them in direct danger   like that again, I do not thing a  tribunal  will side with you, Considering the  Vampic told  his Offciers  to deal with the situation...

  then he chuckles,..you're starting   to make me look like the level headed one!

Nikki made her way down to where most everyone from the 'Delta Night' was sitting.  She saw Olivia.  Ooooo...she thought she might be owing the girl an apology, but then again she didn't know what was gonna happen either.  A few other waitresses were wandering about as well.  Stopping one she ordered some baby back beef ribs, with slaw, cornbread, greenbeans, and apple pie.  Yeah...she was starving.  She took a seat.

"Understood, LC. I was...angry doesn't describe it. Children are precious to my people; because we are so long-lived we have never been prolific. Seeing those children blown apart put me into a cold fury I've only felt once or twice in my life. But I made the strongest vow an Angel can make to those they serve with and will never endanger them again. Forrest gave them the order to kill those prisoners by refusing to tell them to leave and to follow the orders of his people on site."

She sighed and pushed her pizza aside. "I'm sorry for the injuries, Dusk suffered. Please forgive me, Ambassador Shade, LC. My actions did have an unexpected benefit - we found out ANSEC was not our ally and there were imposters amongst the APF but I know that doesn't balance the injuries our people suffered." She gave him a wry smile. "If I'm making you the level headed one we might have a problem. People expect you to be crazed so you might have to step things up before I take the mantle from you."

Justin snorted at Teela's repl., Teela my dear, there's a long line ahead of you for waiting for the chance at that slot. Being your more or less the Newbie hereabouts I'd say you've quite a wait and you may not even get a look in...

"Justin, my dear. I'm very long-lived and everyone knows an Angel woman with a plan is one of the most dangerous and inexorable forces in the universe. Just ask the men; once they get over their fear at the thought they'll warn you." She told Justin with a smile as her eyes began to lighten back to their normal silver colour.

Guess that explains why the universe is in the mess it is. So many  dangerously inexorable forces at play and so little time. Justin teased.

   Shadow   Chewed a bite of his  sub as he nodded.....I'm not  saying he shouldn't have been killed. But.....Even Brother Forrest, has a leader.... and shooting him  right in front  of the board  and Director, could have got some  important good guys  killed.... even I, have to be a Hunter sometimes..

   Shade  kept starig at Shadow  as he took a bite of the Sub......now what?

 There  where bleeps   and whirls  as he pointed to the  sub.

 ..Comon?  Those  are Vegtables and chesses..and Meat..

 there was a short grind...

..Look?... This is a Tomato , or ..its supposed to be.. that's  what that red stuff on your pizza is...this white stuff with the holes.. and  slice of  yellow? that's  cheese.. you have that on your  pizza... and...the Bun is bread.. that's   what the  whole damn pizza is made from... this  green stuff is lettuce.. and the   round thing is a pickle , now?  you don;t have that..but they are good and these  reddish, tan things  are  differant meat.. you have  some kind of meat on your sub..

 Leaning over to  study the   sub, he looked slowly up at Shadow...

 for crying out loud..... he cut the   end off , opposite from where he was eating, and gave it  to Shade.. who took a bite and began to chew,, he whirled a bit


 ..see?    Larry looked forlornly at Shadow,  The LC  frowned  and took all the meat out  and  tossed it , into  Larry's ...now empty..bowl...


  leaving shadow  with a cheese veggie sub. He looked at Larry,..You  trying  to tell me, you didn't eat anyone  on the station?

 Larry thumped  his tail...

  Then he  turned to Teela,... Ellen... tapped into the  ANSEC..now...APF SEC Cams to try and track the cars that left  Harry's mark.. She   found the SIGs  for the cross talk beyween  marks  and  our  'firends' at  the base.

  Ellen looked  surprise  at the credit given her  she blushed  and smiled a bit.

   Shade, chewing on  his 1/4  part of  Shadow's  sub..   held up a finger   as he looked  at  Teela, then  focused on the sub again.

  Shadow    gave a slight nod and shifted his eyes towards Teela,..Shade was pointing out... That The Commander, can be an angry   Angel  with a plan...

"And here was me thinking I was the only Brit on this boat...that or you're better at impersonating the accent than most" Harry said with a laugh, her posh sounding English accent completely incongruous to the torn black jeans, the sleeve of tattoos and "Goth" makeup she currently had on "could I get a pint and..." there a slight moment of hesitation before she then lowered her voice to ask in a conspirative whisper "...could I get a plate of chips and gravy? I know it's a touch Northern but it's been years since I've had any" she asked hoping that at least she would understand what it was she was ordering.

Henry smiled sadly.

"Oh, Larry did get a snack or two on the station."

He then grinned at Harriet.

"Whatever made you think you are the only British person here?"

Upon hearing his question she'd offer Doctor Christie an embarrassed look as she replied "Sorry Doc Christie, you must have slipped my mind...sometimes I forget there are people outside of the Hangar Dec" she said quietly thinking that perhaps it was for the best that there weren't too many Brits on the ship as it meant they were less likely to remember certain pictures of her that she'd rather were forgotten.

Henry chuckled.

"I have been seen on the Hanger Dec every so often, you know. You must visit some time and take tea. Talk of home. Where in the UK do you hail from, anyway? I was raised in Oxford man and boy."
