 Shadow  landed,   taking his   aircraft  slowly to  B Flight's  , flight line....Getting out, he moved to the  entrance of  Hanger BAy #2.. and    the Pilot s gathered  around.

By the time B flight returned Nikki finally found the one frayed wiring she needed.  With that working it was easier to remove another panel that was bent and warped.  With the program for part orders she was able to get a new one to be made and sent up, the old one she and another tech removed the busted one and also got the safety maglift on, incase it fell.  Another tech helping Nikki do repairs as ordered removed the one on the opposite side as it was just as badly damaged.  Parts went to be recycled.  This panel protected several computer boards.  Gathering a pen strike probe she checked the connections there after removing it from its housing.  She would do this for all.  "Stoly.....You going to the watch Shadow go for a run in the tunnels?" she didn't know if he knew about it or not.

Sitting on her wing Harry would watch as the rooks practiced landing on the hangar dec, quietly laughing at all off the resulting bumps and wobbles as they came in. Once they had finished and Shadow had said his piece, instructing them to look at the tags that had struck them and picture the damage caused had it been a hard ammo round, Harry would stroll over to where Abby was. For her part Harry was pretty sure her bird would have survived the hits she’d taken even if her cannon wouldn’t have.

Placing her fingers in her mouth she’d give a sharp whistle so as to get her sisters attention before speaking to her ”Hey sis, hold up a sec! I want to get a picture of us together before your all drenched in sweat” she said pulling her comms unit out of her pocket ”...maybe even look at getting Beth to send a copy home...you know...let them know that we’re still both ok”

     Abby   looked  a bit annoyed, but  brightened  a  bit  when  HArry said  about the  Pic.

   She Posed  with  Harry Giving a 'thumbs  Up' sign , that has   seemed to be a Delta  Fleet trademark. ( in the  articulated  action figures, Shade's fingers    could be   positioned for a  'Thumbs Up".)

  After Pics  were taken.  Abby got  a little more  sullen,.. why we have  to run the Bleedin'  tunnels?... There   a  football Pitch...

After the debrief Justin grabbed the stuff from his Mantis that he'd have on him, if he had to pod out or crash land, then made his way to the Tunnels and started a warmup lap while he waited for the LC to show up. He was interested to see how well the Rookies and anyone else Shadow invited on his regular jog.

Nikki looked at Stoly and Rivets "Any objection if I go watch the spectacle in the tunnel?  actually never been there yet" unless there was a 'No', she'd join in.

"Thanks.  I'll be back and finish up after" she cleaned up a bit then headed to the tunnels.  She grabbed a water on her way out to drink a bit of it.  Work was hard work.

With Abby agreeing to have her picture taken with her, Harry would flag down a passing crewman and smile sweetly as she asked if they would be nice enough to take a picture of her and her sister together and let their father know that they were both alright. After thanking the person in question she would loop an arm about Abby's shoulders and smile as she "threw the horns" with her free hand.

With their picture taken she would once again thank the crewman that had been nice enough to take their picture before answering Abby's somewhat sullen question as to why they were running the tunnels and not around the field "because sis, the track around the field is the standard 1500 metres whereas the tunnels are around six miles, not to mention private and without CCTV" she said hoping that Abby would catch her drift concerning the relative privacy of the tunnels before moving on to the topic of hard ammo "hmm yeah, it's the difference between me punching you on the arm and shooting you with my service weapon, our gatling cannons fire at a velocity that's at least three times faster than the tag cannons meaning that if a round strikes your fighter on a flat" she explained, placing the tip of her finger into the flat of her hand in way of a demonstration to what she meant "...it will punch through your bodywork like a hot knife through butter, but that's not all, as it will then explode, so it's like being hit by a rather large grenade...so yeah hard ammo makes a big difference, but don't worry our girls have a lot of sexy curves so most stuff should just glance off" Harry said with a smile just as Viktor approached them.

It was safe to say that she hadn't been expecting a compliment from the Vampic pilot with it leaving her just a little flat footed "oh...um...thank you...you're not so bad yourself Reaper" she said as she held her hand out for him to shake "I look forward to flying with you"

Viktor tilted his head to the side with a self-deprecating motion, then shrugged as he shook her hand, “Thank you, Harry. I enjoy our friendly rivalry, but in the end we’re fighting the good fight together. I just wanted you to know that’s how I see things, in here or in training I’ll gladly trade good humored insults. Out there, in combat, I have you and Abby’s back one-hundred percent. And I appreciate you giving me a chance to prove myself and fit in..”

Firmly gripping Viktors hand as she shook it she would smile as he spoke of the banter between them and having her back whilst they were in the air "likewise mate, I was only taking the mick...if I didn't like you I simply wouldn't talk to you" she said as she released her grip, thinking that it was a shame that his missus wasn't as nice as he seemed to be, oh well can't win em all!

"Well, I'm going to look at painting my bird while Abby here goes for her run around the ship, After all I'd hate to go into battle naked" she said, chuckling at the mental image of taking that comment literally "So what about you? are you joining Abby and the others for a run or are you sensible like me and have other plans?"

“Speaking of other plans, I should get going. Had to cut dinner short earlier with Mortica and Roll to attend this training. Need to make it up to them. You two have a good evening, see you around later I’m sure,” the Vampic spoke with a friendly nod, before he turned and headed off to find his family.

To Recdec

Nikki commed Stoly as she jogged (out of everyones way as she did so) "Taking a 12 mile jog. in the tunnel, just letting you know" she then continued.

"Yes I'll see you later Reaper, maybe the three of us could grab a drink on the rec dec sometime?" she suggested as he excused himself, assuming that it had been a slip of the tongue and he'd meant breakfast rather than dinner considering that it was still fairly early in the morning.

With Abby also leaving in order to join the other rooks on their run with Shadow, which her darling sister would no doubt use as another opportunity to try and get him in bed, Harry would collect the paints and brushes she would need from the QM before making herself comfortable within her berth. With her comms unit quietly playing punk rock songs in the background Harry would set about painting her nose art with Hamlet watching from on top of a nearby tool chest.

Although she wasn't the world's greatest artist she kind of felt that she had improved since last time; the writing was better spaced making it easier to read the motto, she had used some simple shading techniques to make the rose look a brighter shade of red and the switch blade look sharper. She had also altered the design of the skull so that it was seen from the side so as to display the mohican she'd added to it making it look an undead punk rocker. All in all she was pretty happy with what she'd produced.

Leaving the paint to properly dry Harry would wander over to the mech stalls, having noticed that she wasn't the only one painting this morning. Standing just outside she would admire the artwork adorning the pair of mechs bodywork, quietly wondering what sort of strings she would need to pull in order to paint her entire fighter rather than just the nose. Her mind suddenly filled with images of a jet black fighter adorned with leering skulls or bright orange with tiger stripes among other idea's that were beyond her skill with a brush to achieve "Wow, these look really good, wish I could paint as well as you guys" Harry would eventually say to the pair of riders in the stall, after several minutes of silently admiring their mechs artwork, with her then going on to  ask in a curious voice "...how did you get it go all shiny like that?"

  Morgan Smiled at HArry,..well?.. we  use  the  paint  base they use  in the foundry..its  sorta thermal coat... then we  mix in the    colors , one it gets  on and dries, it  hardens a bit..Techs  say it  might even take an extra   round or two of pulse  fire?

 he   shrugs  as he  sips  from his  Coffee  and Motions  past Kira  to the Coffee Pot  and Doughnuts she brought.

 ..Once   it  dries   we get the clear coat on, it  it hardens  like a shell.  They are Both   Glossy?... which..might not be  a good  thing in the Moonlight?...  but   if  we do  Night Ops, we'll spray  it   with drab Coat.

  Lucky  was  working    on Justin's  ride   as Steele  worked on his Nose  art. A  few  sleepy  eyed  pilots  came  down to check thie r rides, and the ones  who earned it, began  to draw  paint supplies

Kira looked over to Harry and gave her a wave as she made her way over to her mech to add the insignia of the Occui rangers after adding that quickly she was gonna answer her question but Morgan beat her to the punch, "Its just a matter of practice, my father made me practice 3 nights a week growing up" she smiled as she went over to grab a donut about 10 more minutes and the clear coat could go on.

Politely listening as Morgan explained how he had achieved the effect using clear coat she would nod her head in understanding "Can't say standing out is a problem for us, we're not exactly using camouflage here...hell...I want to stand out! I want the bad guys to go that's Lynch over there, steer clear she's freakin' dangerous!" she said with a laugh, knowing that she was still far from being infamous "...you know I'm kind of surprised Shadow hasn't painted his bird bright red like that German pilot...what was his name...Richthofen...seeing as he's not exactly shy about calling the enemy out" she said as she helped herself to one of the proffered doughnuts, knowing that it was going to take some time before the paint on her fighter had finished drying "your father made you practice painting?" she asked Kira in a slightly surprised voice "...I hardly saw my father, mummy meanwhile had me and my sister learn to sing and dance" she said making a face that made it abundantly clear what she thought about that.

   Morgan sat on   a crate  , after  fixing  another  Coffee,..My  Fathe r hand Me and My brother out  Hunting..even on MArs Colony..some of those  'teat creatures'  would bve  set free to see if they could make it.. if they became over  abundant, or  dangerous, you were allowed to hunt them..but ..you best  have a ticket to do it...That's the  thing for Terraforming?  you  can  make  or put  whatever you want on there...

 ..My Mom taught  us  about reading  ... and a bit of cooking... said    we'd   find  more  ladies  with  a  pan, then a gun!

Kira sat down and put her feet up, "Never knew my mother so i can't really relate sadly... father expressed the importance of knowing a craft outside of fighting to help with ones mental health and he wasn't wrong it does help to cope with stress"

Kira glanced over to Morgan as he told his tale and nodded at his remark agreeing with him.

"I wouldn't worry love, my relationship with my mother was far from perfect...things became rather awkward between us when I came out...well...caught might be a better term" she said wincing slightly at the memory in question. There hadn't been any rows or harsh words her mother had simply decided to brush the whole incident under the carpet and pretend that it had never happened which had made things less than ideal between them.

With Harry wholeheartedly agreeing with Morgan's mother on the whole cooking thing, knowing that Will had already suffered through several meals that she had prepared, she would move the conversation away from her mother and onto other topics "so what sort of stuff do you paint? or is it just mechs?"

Kira chuckled, "I can do large portraits of people and landscapes both oil based and digital... i have examples of my work in my quarters i like to think my work is pretty solid though... perhaps during next downtime you may like a painting for your quarters?" she offered to Harry.

Not really sure how to respond to Kira's offer of a painting for her quarters, especially seeing as she was yet to see any of her work, Harry would politely smile as replied "um...yeah...maybe if it's no trouble that is... it'd make for a nice contrast to all the toy soldiers currently decorating my quarters" she replied with a chuckle, knowing that Will would be horrified to hear his collection being referred to as toy soldiers "well I should probably get back to my painting a leave you all to it, thanks for the doughnut and painting tips it's greatly appreciated" she said as she made a move towards the QM stores in search of a tin of clear coat for her nose art.
