Roll stayed  with  Haley at Doc  henry's for a while,  Val did get the   a small bowl of  icecream since it was late.

 after they were finished,   Roll took the  bowls to the kitchen  area and was going to was them, but Val shooed him away.. The pair watched  a  cartoon video of  Cosmic  Kitty,  and his  arch enemy Black Hole Bull.

 The Nuska   was sad looking as it   made its  way over to them,  Roll managed to ...barely,,pick it  up and sit it between them, The Nuska  feeling warm and protected  fell  asleep on  Haley.

 after a couple episodes.  Roll said...I hafta  go home  and get the mail, and check on stuff. Sometimes the bully kids do  stuff to my house  door and windows, and I havfta  clean it up... I will see you tomorrow.

 he got his   back  pack and 'sword'  the Nuska was laying  against  Haley making   soft baby Nuska  snores.

Henry came and sat on the other side of the Nuska, stroking him gently.

Mila climbed up on the other side of Her Human and poked Him with her nose until He put an arm around her. Then she put her head on His lap and indicated that love and fuss was in order.

 Roll  entered  The Lab, and  went straight to the largs...All right.. the lights are ornage..that means  we got to get ready for  fighting.. eat some  stuff and drink some stuff. I'll  go to the  Hanger Dec  and get the armor  cart  for you guys to get dressed.

 The Nuska  say  lookig around, confused, perhaps  scared at all the sudden  action.

Henry instinctively put his arma around the bear.

"S'OK Boris, you are safe here."

He looked over at Roll, attending to his duties so diligently.

"I'll see they have a drink and a snack whilst you get the armour. I'd best call in and find out what they want Mila and I to do."

He put in a call to request his orders for today.

 henry gets a call back.

  Captain Morris here... Doc Henry?   we are thinking of you staying in the Hanger to Help  Young Roll with the   Largs thast are going to be left behind to help secure the Hanger Dec.... when-if  we have to  invade,  there is a good chance  of you going planetside.

"Sure.... what is it? 'Already done', Captain Morris. I'll have Mila with me so if you need to call on the dog team you can without delay."

Picking up the clingy Nuska, Henry set about making arrangements.

"Val, can you take care of Boris here? He's a bit upset by all the kerfuffle. Maybe you and Can could play with him... Roll, you are to be on the hanger dec with some largs, Mila and I shall be with you. Everyone else, get the labs secured for combat manoeuvers and button up tight. Mila, go get your armour. We need to be prepared for the Hanger Dec to be evacuated if it's damaged."

Back from Paradise

Mila led the larg pack proudly home. Her Human followed, suddenly weary and ready to rest. The largs were their usual boisterous selves.

Her Human settled them down, checking each one over for injuries.

Nikki knocked "hello.... Doc, Val? anyone?" she asked.  One of his techs opened up.  "We came to pick up Friday and the snittens" Can we do so?" she asked.

"Ah, hello Nikki. Yes, please come in."

Henry led Nikki through to the briss area.

"Do you need a hand with them or can you manage all three?"

"I remember how you told us to carry them.  However how about I take Friday, you take Khan and Haley take Katrina.  We can see how they adjust?" she did not want to leave a sense of abandonment.

With that she carefully picked up Friday, as they picked up the snittens.  Katrina decided to be excitable and wrapped around. Haley looking for a treat. Haley was happy to have a pet to take care of.
Soon all 6 were headed to her quarters. Nikki gave Friday a chin scritch as they left the lab. "hope your gonna like youe new home"

Henry picked up Khan, who promptly decided that he was a scarf and wrapped himself around Henry's neck, head pointing forwards and looking around curiously.

Can and Mila followed along.

Henry was always glad to be home again. Can rushed off as if he hadn't seen his fish for weeks. Mila, like every dog he'd ever known, marked her arrival by making use of the facilities.

The largs ought to be along soon. He'd enjoyed the day on the lakeside with them. Perhaps when the war was over they could settle on a planet and live beside a lake with them...

It wasn't long before  The largs  Arrived , Freddie leading them in.. Disna had Borris on his  back.  Cookie  trotted   along  side them, though you really  couldn't see   her   legs under all the fur.

   Roll arrive d with the  Two Bigger largsI havta  go hope to shower  and go to sleep , 'cause  Me SM  said...

  he would  head off with his backpack to  the Civie section.

"Hello everybody. Don't worry Roll, I'll see to the largs. You need to rest. Right then, who do we have here?"

Henry showed the new largs around their quarters. He also relieved Disna of the bear, sleepy after spending so much time playing in the fresh air.

 Puskie Pointed to the  3  and 1/2   new largs...we have  Ex..thier Alpha.. Reo  and Roe..the female. she is the Mother of the Pup, Rea.

 Disna   adds   as he points to them,They have   that  'mustard yellow' in their   dorsal stripes.. They did  not  come from Nivar..all the others   are from Nivar or the Green Moon..they have  Blue  and  Green striping , with Larry have that  black strip down his  spine....The mew Pup has  the same type of  stripes..Thor   has stripes like his  mother...Gregor? he looks  at the  smaller  Larg, who  titled his head back and forth.

 he   has those  Purple  stripes...again? we do not know where they came from...or whether it is  the results of the testing they did on him. We won't test him , just to find out, we feel he has been through   enough..

Gregory thumped his tail slowly as he looked from  Disna to  Henry.

Val came in.. she  taped   Can on the head...come on , Ring Bearer.. its time you were cleaned up  and  went to bed. its has been  some shore leave.

Can didn't  fuss to much..  the bear was curled up in his  bed...the largs  were laying  dowwn  , pups were already asleep

Henry listened as he looked at the new largs.

"Well, welcome Ex, Reo, Roe, and Rea. This is your new home. You'll get some of your food here, but sometimes we all go down to the Rec Dec. We all sit off at one side and you get some excellent scraps, the staff there are well-organised about supplying you. For exercise aboard, we do 'tunnel runs' which give you a good opportunity to pelt around. You've met our Larg Masters - Disna, Puskie, and Roll - and I spend time with you as well. I'm Henry, by the way."

He went round petting all the new arrivals (apart from Rea who was fast asleep already). Let sleeping largs lie.

Later, on hearing Roy's message on the 'squawk'

Henry rolled his eyes. He should never have mentioned tunnel runs to the new largs. He'd have to take the whole pack down, Mila would want to run as well... and he supposed he'd better too as well.

   Disna and Puskie   got  the  largs  ready  for the Run. Roll had  his   uniform on and a makeshift chest   protector  and his  new  sidearm.He had a helmet that fit.

 The   went out the Dor  with larry waiting in the  hall way, and Freddie   leading the rest out from the  lab.

 Rea  and Thor were carried up  by Disna and Puskie.. Roll carried  Boris on his back..whick was no mean feat, since Boris was almost  as tall as  Roll.

Henry and Mila followed the largs, with reluctance on one part and enthusiasm on the other.

"Maybe I should carry Boris," said Henry.

"He's a bit big for you, Roll."

 Boris  was  more then  willing to  climb up on henry's  back.  Roll smiled  sheepiskly as  he    walked  with  Mila

Mila was prancing about, eager to scamper around even if it was in the tunnels rather than on a planet.

She watched the bear settle on Her Human. He seemed to be settling in better now, it seemed that getting to play in the water had done him a world of good.

   entering   the   lab with  Teddy Vose, their  trooper guard.. the Largs  trouped  into the   holding area...  Borris  as well... Can checked his  fish, the  changed  and  went into bed  by himself

   Val   gave henry a  smile and went into the Bed Room..  Teddy made himself comfortable on the  couch in the  waitign aire.. covering up, he had
 locked the door.

Henry ensured that the largs and Boris were settled down. Mila took care of herself pretty well but largs needed supervision and Boris... well he was getting better but still needed a lot of paw-holding.

Once eveyone was settled, he said goodnight to Can then joined Val in their bedroom.
