”maybe...though I think it’s high time someone else got a chance at the limelight” Izzy quietly responded in a way that made it abundantly clear that she wasn’t particularly thrilled at the prospect of having an interview with Shadow maybe I’ll ask him for an interview the same way he let me know about last night she silently added as she tried to decide in which obscure location she could leave him a note.

With Lizzy reassuring her once again that she would keep their relationship on the down low until Izzy was ready, she would reluctantly get up in preparation for the pair of them to go their separate ways. It was at this point that Lizzy had said something that piqued her interest ”oh what makes you think something is about to kick off? You’ve not heard something per chance?” she asked as the reporter in her woke up, with Izzy curious to know if it was simply a hunch or whether Lizzy had overheard something that she was willing to share and whether there was anything else she could tell her.

Once Lizzy had finished elaborating on her comment, Izzy would watch as she left the rec dec before scanning the groups of pilot for any sign of Lt Howe assuming that he would have been on the same run as Lizzy and so likely to still be on rec dec.

 Lizzy stooped for a second and quietly said to Izzy," Yes I have heard something, but you didn't hear it from me. The LC is getting us ready for a jump off within the next 36 hours and we are heading towards Calimite and Uden, I think we might be fighting Verians. I also think my Father was involved in this somehow. Okay Izzy I have to go use this wisely I don't want to get into trouble, I trust you with my life."

As Lizzy quietly shared what she knew it quickly become that she knew no more than what Izzy had heard the previous evening. The fleet was heading Uden. Although the information wasn't of any real use to her the fact that Lizzy had trusted her enough to tell her meant a lot to her "I've heard the same...the Verians are with the Empire now...but you didn't hear that from me either" she whispered back in way of confirmation that they would indeed be fighting the Verians this time around "...I wouldn't dream of betraying you Lizzy...Harry would throw me through the static field" she said with a mischievous grin before allowing Lizzy to leave.

Having spotted Lt Howe at one of the tables Isobel would approach his table and politely wait for him to notice her before speaking to him with a friendly smile "Hey Lieutenant, do you have a few minutes to spare only there's something I'm hoping you might be able to help me with...you see I'm currently doing a piece on the Hermes fighter wing and I was just wondering if you knew of any male pilots that hadn't been here too long that might be willing to speak with me?"

Zob glanced over at Orria and raised a eye, "Her misbehaving?" there was a joking tone in his voice as he then got more serious, "You're getting pretty damn fast then if you keep beating him like that... i know i need to start running again as well or I'm gonna get fat and nobody wants to see a demon with a pot belly... my early morning consisted eating some of these things called pizza rolls and having a smoke... rather uneventful"

As Howe asked what exactly she meant by a pilot that hadn’t been there too long ” I’m looking for people who have some experience but not part of the original 24 I mean the most experienced pilot I’ve spoken to so far is ensign Lynch if that’s any help”

 Howe  said   as  they searched the faces, Yeah, well? You best  get used to that. It won't be just pilots who will  give you the Cold Shoulder, lotsa  SEC folks  like the LC...

  Howe says  as he  nods to a table, closer to the SIMs,The brown hair  woman with her back to us , is Brivet... she signed on  right before  Aqra..everyone she  came  aboard  with, died there...mostly thanks to  those  'head Hunters'... The  woman with Auburn Hair is Toni Roger. She one of  the Hopefuls  we picked up at the PG in Fuji.. she's a good pilot..good person...

 Waggles  grinned  and   pointed to a Table near the   Vid Box,That Table there?  the  Balck haired woman is Scarlet she   sorta new to  the SEC... and Pilto talkign  to her is  Zull Sten.. a Russian who is about as new as you can be, he was elevated  to  a flight from the pool when Washington was killed.

   Howe   gives  Izzy a  smiles and a shrug.....that's all the pilots here , right now.... but.. I'm gonna  say something, yhou can like it..not like it, or shrug it off... doesn;t matter   much to me, i don't have to do yuour job?.... But Flores?  She  had a hard  road to get here...Shadow spoke up for her to Morris when  Jonny Blue  was on trial  here for killing Lady....They brought her and Kase over from  the EVOLs..she's  been his wing Lady ever since..... Kat?... well.. Kat likes to bat from both sides of the plate... but her  'sister' was a demo Tech.. she died  on Bura the first time through.. Kat fell apart.. Shadow  brought her into his flight, and she's been  a 'sword Maiden' ever  since... You  look around this ship..heck..look around any port? you're not  goign to see a Harder drinking, harde3r living  person then Kat...So?  try to keep in mind.. People see you as the Press …first...and  any worng  stuff you do, to the wrong person..well?... It won't help your  job...I'm not saying you bow and scrape , but  you don't have  enough hours in your  files to be antagonistic... there  are people on this ship  that can make a lot of bad  happen, in a little bit of minutes.

Coming almost firefly from the field the Gava gathered at one table.  Jug and Bog talked to the waitresses about getting food for all.  They ordered something called 'cheeseburgers and fries along with various flavors of milkshakes.

Melia glances over at Orria who was still working, "Yeah she got into a fight after losing at one of her vidboard games to a classmate. From what the teacher said, she got upset and threw a punch. When I asked her, she told me she got made and its what Shadow or Shade would've done. So since we want to act like a trooper we are training like a trooper. We did the tunnel run, now we are recovering while she does school work. Next we'll go to the range and policy brass that's been left behind. It's going to be a long day especially since preparation will need to be made for whatever missions come up when we arrive at Uden."

She explains calmly, "I also need to find her a martial arts instructor. Brawling and throwing punches is one thing, but learning when to do so is another entirely. So what are your plans for the rest of the day?"

Orria glanced up from her lesson long enough make a slightly exasperated exhale before closing her lesson. "Mom, that's so much more stuff... What if Shade or Miss Beth need me?" She asks with the slightly whiny tone.

Melia glances over at her and replies, "You'll have to miss out, and perhaps next time you'll consider the consequences of picking a fight before you throw a punch. If you get everything done, and get allowed back at the school before jump off you can help Shade and go back to helping Beth."

Zob looked over to Orria, "She threw a punch on a classmate cause she lost at a vidboard game... and said its what Shade or Shadow would of done, yeah no you can't be doing that" he agreed with Melia's punishment of Orria.

He then chuckled, "I don't have anything planned for the day, i took care of most of my preparations last night even got me a new suit of armor fabricated"

She would politely listen to the suggestions made by Waggles and Howe with Izzy deciding that Zull would probably be her first stop as well as maybe Brivet which along with any additional gun cam footage she could get her hands on would be enough for her make something worth broadcasting.

It was then that Howe would give her a little back story on Shadows wing ladies before going on to point out that nobody liked her and that they were all very much out to get her. A talk she had already received several times before from several different people "yeah...I know...I've only been here two days and I'm already regretting it...huh...some promotion this turned out to be"

  Howe nodded   with a bit of a sad frown,..you get what you pay for..right? You Have a hard  row  to Hoe, until you can establish yourself  as   'one of us'..its  Not a bad thing , not  to be friends  with   everyone..or?  Anyone?..it is a bad thing, to make yopurself thier enemy... not on this ship..

 Waggles  Nodded   a bit  and sipped  his beer...Last reporter  we had  was a piece of work?.. She tried to  over load  the  'party-drive' up by the  big wheels  with her  'extra  CAMs?.. some one   shut that down real quick, next thing you know..'poof'..gone  back to her Media vessel, and  who knows where after that?

 ..good luck Izzy?   I'd  rsather   Fly out there, then have your job!  My personailty wouldn't cut it.

”I don’t think I’ll ever be considered part of the crew and to be brutally honest I’m not sure I even want to be” Izzy said with a disappointed sigh. She fully understood that they’d been stung by reporters before but she hadn’t had chance to even consider doing anything malicious and she had been effectively ostracised simply because she was a reporter ”you know what screw it, There’s a jump off coming and I’m not going to waste my time trying make you lot look good, I’m going to go and spend time with the one person on this ship that actually likes me...thank you for your help guys but I think I’ll leave this for another time” she said before bidding the pair of pilots goodbye and heading for her quarters to get ready for her date.

Melia nodded, "yeah, I suppose we are getting close to the age where knowing everything happens, and independence and rebellion happen.

That's great you got new armor. Mine needs to be cleaned, after the run. I'd rather not smell myself if I have to seal in for a boarding action or any other reason. Then it's all the standard shake downs of kits, ensuring everything is working correctly and unexpired for medical equipment is replaced. Full cleaning on each weapon system with... yeah I don't know why I'm explaining this..." Melia blushes a little feeling a little silly.

"Sounds like you're in for a relaxing day then."

Zob chuckles, "Soon she will have rainbow colored hair like Beth" he joked although that was more likely to happen then he may think but still it was rather amusing.

"Its fine we been in enough battles to know how it all goes... i dunno about a relaxing day but ill certainly try at least"

Melia smiled, "don't I know it. She's already been asking to dye it purple. I was considering letting her do it, but after yesterday I'm probably going to hold off until I see effort on her part to re-establish trust after this."

Melia finishes her last few bites of food. As the Alert came on. "Well looks like its going to get interesting soon."

Harry would spend a large proportion of the day of the rec dec with Will, with the pair of them chatting about whatever came to mind over a couple of drinks as they enjoyed each others company. It was just as Harry was telling Will about the time that she'd inadvertently dyed her friend; Sin's hair a lurid shade of green instead of the golden blonde that she'd wanted that they would hear the announcement over the tannoy system "I guess I should go and check on my fighter" Harry said with a reluctant sigh as she gently stroked the back of Will's hand with her fingertips with it clear that she didn't really want to go "Maybe later we could watch a film together or something...maybe fool around a bit?" she quietly suggested, wanting to spend as much time as she could with him before the jump off and they once again found themselves battling the Empire.

Will Nods,I'll hang out  her a bit longer, maybe  stop in at SEC? ..I don't know if  I'll even be  cleared to go.. I hear  Shoey got the nod to jump off it   the SM takes him.

"Oh well you'll just have to hang around on the hangar dec worrying about me for a change then won't you" she replied with a grin before leaning in to give him a quick kiss "I'll see you later baby, and if you see Abby tell her I told her to get her ass down to the hangar dec, if she's going to be my wing she needs to get her bird ready" she said as she got up from their table and started heading for the lifts. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to get her fighter checked over and a couple of belts loaded in preparation for tomorrow and then she'd be able to spend the rest of the night with Will.

Nikki led the munchkins to the recdec.  There they would meet up with Mitch, He said he needed to do a check on his craft first then come and watch and 'Hang out'.  Nikki made sure Sneak knew where they would be.  She made sure that all 3 would get a good solid meal first, then snacks for later.  Meatloaf, Mashed potatoes and gravy, along with broccoli with some cheese on it.  Even some meatloaf and juicy scraps for the larg pup.  Milk and juice for the kids, Nikki took her favorite tea.  They sat and ate, let them tire out a bit first.  Haley set about teaching Roll to play hopscotch.  Yes a girly game, but it did teach a bit of balance and coordination.  While they played she remembered something and asked if Sneak who was running about to just keep an eye out.  She needed to run to the QM and would be right back.  She let Roll and Haley know and just play and eat for a bit.  She forgot to check in.  She gave both a hug and a kiss on the forehead real quick.

Zob listened to the alert and gave a sigh, "Yep its gonna be interesting that's for sure" he then stood up from the table then looked to Orria, "Try and stay out of trouble" he gave a slight chuckle at the remark, "Ill catch you later you have my com number if you need me, gonna head down to SEC and get some stuff in order then probably try and get some rest" with that said he gave Orria a small wave and headed out making one quick stop at the QM before he would head down to SEC.

Nikki returned quickly, thanking Sneak.  She asked if she would be in the bunker when the fight starts.  Told of making sure that Roll had a few things to use if need be.  She moved to sit down and eat.  Both Roll and Haley were running about, hyped on sugar.  Gregor stayed by his bowl.They

  Sneak  looks a bit  Uncomfortable,..last time i was in the Bunker, i got in trouble  for taking a sidearm of   one of the older   women, because she wouldn't let me have one... Some of those people .flat out  don't like us?... I volunteered on the Hanger  Dec  the last couple time, they let me have a weapon there.

"I believe Garrat took you under wing...right? she asked.  "Ask him if he can get you a side arm and ammo atleast" she suggested.
