After reluctantly allowing one of the techs to take Hamlet off of her, she would slowly begin to count down from twenty in a shaky voice just like she'd been told to do. If asked later on she wouldn't be able to recall exactly how far down she'd managed to count before the drugs took effect and she passed out, but she never came close to reaching zero that was for damn sure!

Once Harry was under Hawkeye set to work, the puncture point was mercifully small however the first step was cleaning and removing contamination which meant enlarging the puncture. Taking a scalpel she begins by widening and enlarging the wound exposing the damaged area, allowing her to begin the debridement process removing any pieces that had infiltrated the wound, followed by rinsing and cleaning the area with large amounts of saline.  Once the wound had been satisfactorily cleaned she began the process of setting the bone. Set in place she drills several small holes in the bones and places rods and pins in the broken bone. Using dermafoam as both an antibiotic, and a healing accelerant she fills the area applying stitches and dermaplast over the injury to seal it and prevent other pathogens from entering the wound. Once complete she instructs the orderlies to move Harry to recovery, with the added instructions of "start her on a 1000 units of antibotics and let me know when she wakes up."  stripping her gloves she looks to see who's next.

  Will  came in with  hius     helmet in his  hand,Lookign for someone   to let him skow   how   Hary was  doing.

  the   Med Tech was   busy   witht eh wounded  pilots..and this was just an Exercise!

Poking her head out to see the other cases Hawkeye sees Will, recalling seeing him with Harry on multiple occasions. "Hey trooper, if you're looking for Ms. Lynch she just went into recovery. It'll be a bit before she wakes up." she says nodding towards the door to the recovery ward. "If you need help ask an orderly."

Looking at the quill injury again, she nods to a tech. "I'll take Vicos next." and pops back into the OR to prep for the next procedure unless Will has anything to say.

  Will nodded to  her  as  she said this... he  asked the orderly to  come get him when she wakes up.

Groggily waking up in an unfamiliar bed Harry would try and recall where she was and how she had come to be here, an exercise that she had hoped to leave firmly within her past Med tech...I’m in med tech, that’s it...I bust my leg on that stupid exercise satisfied that she hadn’t been kidnapped she would make a solitary attempt at sitting up before deciding that was a stupid idea and laying back down until her head had stopped spinning. Having spotted Hamlet however sitting on a nearby table she would instead reach out for the hamster only to find much to her dismay that he was sitting just out of her reach ”excuse me...a little help please” Harry rather weakly called hoping to attract the attention of one of the passing med techs.

   a Med tech saw her  and walked away. Shortly after   Will came in the door   with his Helmet in his  hand is   rifle  on his  shoulder. He Grabbed  Hamlet  and  HAndsed it her.

  ..rough time of it?... he smiled  softly as he kissed her  forehead.

  HAven't heard from the Med  Techs...... dut i'm thinking your  down for   4 days?..maybe  5?  Have to ask them thouhg.

Gratefully taking Hamlet from Will, Harry would hold her good luck charm to her chest as she responded with a weary smile ”yeah that ground pounder lark is harder than it looks” she said before grimacing at Wills diagnosis of five days without a pair of working legs. It was as he was leaning in to kiss her forehead that she would notice that Will was wearing his armour ”Will...what’s going on? Only you’re a little overdressed for visiting little ol’ me”

  Will  Sat on the edge of the Bed,..nit sure  i was    on the Rec Dec  reading  some  Vid Magazine when the   alert went off.. when i got to  SEC,  someone said the Vampic  Chick., found a code  in some trash   COMs..there is   Vampic  Hunter  squadron out there.... The Admiral    shifted the  Fleet a bit .. if they don't  runaway.... we'll find them... Admiral wants to capture  some of the ships..  Don't know  how far he will take that.. I figure  he'll pounded them to bits, if he can't  get them to hit thier lights?

  ..there  was PA announcement ..The Admiral isn't gonna even   warn them this  time..no light?.. they get toasted..

With Will perching on the edge of the bed in a manner reminiscent of a parent telling their child a bedtime story, Harry would listen as he spoke of an incoming Vampic fleet that the Admiral was intending on destroying should they lack the sense to put on their surrender lights "Right in which case I need to be down on the hangar dec, Will be a dear and help me find some clothes" Harry said as she made a move to get out of bed, figuring that she didn't need both of her legs to fly, after all if Douglas Bader could do it then so could she. However she would need some clothes as she had no intention of flying in only her knickers and a vest top.

Vico's operation goes smoothly, and is rather routine for the injuries that Hawkeye normally deals with. The quill had done relatively little damage, and she'd used a local anesthetic to remove it and check for any additional damage. Foaming and plasting over the injury, she marks Vico's for 2 days bed rest followed by 2 days light duty. Return to full duty pending clearance by herself or Stefi.

As she is finishing cleaning up a medtech walked in and alerted her that Harry had woken up, and will was inside.


Finishing up quickly she heads over to the recovery bay,

"Ms. Lynch how are you feeling?" she asks entering the bay where Will and Harry were talking about the recent alert which had set the rest of the medlab scrambling to prep for incoming fire and wounded.

   Will looked at her...Look?.. I don't know  jack about flying.. but   don't you need  your feet   for turning and stuff?

  Cat entered...they looked at her...

 as she  sat on the Edge of the Bed..Stefi stood  there looking at them,..You want to tell me what you'er   doing?

Slowly easing herself over the edge of the bed Harry would pause when asked whether or not she'd be able to use the pedals by Will, with her quickly running through the Mantis' basic flight controls before reply "well...yee-ess technically...there are a set of pedals but I should be able to still use them" she replied somewhat uncertainly with both Cat and Stefi choosing that moment to come in and check on their patient "I feel fine, honest! I mean...ok my leg is still a little...um...tender but nothing that some pain killers can't fix so I was...um...going to respond to the...um...alert" she said looking from one med tech to the other as she tried to decide which of the two would prove the most sympathetic. Truth be told the situation was eerily like the time she'd been caught trying to sneak out to a party "come one, I mean you wouldn't make me lay in bed whilst all my friends and my baby sister went into combat without me, would you?" she said with a nervous laugh, remembering all too well that she hadn't gone to that party either.

Hawkeye moved to help Harry back into her bed, "Unfortunately yes we are going to make you stay in bed here. You got out of surgery only a few hours ago, I had to pin your bones back together. Even with the most advanced medicine you'd still be down for the day. At best where you are right now if you tried to fly you'd be incredibly limited in your ability to use your leg, the pain killers needed would inhibit your ability to think, if you got shot down you'd be a sitting duck. On top of that even with the advanced anesthesia we use your head isn't gonna be right for at least a day, you'll feel a little forgetful, likely a little tired as your body processes the drugs."

She sighs, "we all want and need to do our part, and to be a part of the effort, but I won't send someone out into the black to be slaughtered because they're temporarily medically unfit for duty. The best I can give you is three days here, and 2-3 days light duty before release pending eval by myself or Stefi. We could put you on bed rest in your quarters but if you try and fly you'll be under guard back here as a high risk patient.  The more you try and use your ankle for the next day or two the longer the recovery will take."

  Stefi nlooked at CAt.. then To Will......alright Lover  Boy?.... and  don't think about your chances of getting laid when you answer  this...... do you want he rto  Go up like that?

 Will frowned.....I'm  not a Med Tech  or  a Pilot?..... but.. i sure  as  the 9th hell, wouldn't want to sit out while  my Buddies  were out there...if you can get her in the machine.... he shrugs...

 Oh?.. I can juisce her.. she won't be as good   as she was.. she'll be able to fly..but when the Juice  wears off.... she'll wish she didn't

 she looks to CAt…then to  HArry.

Hawkeye shrugs, "You'll earn yourself at least an extra day of bed rest, and another two days of light duty provided you manage to not undo any of my hard work. If I have to go back in and repair the fixes you'll likely be a full week on bedrest and a full week of Physical Therapy with light duty, and as your Doctor I will insist on that." She say looking over at Stefi, already she'd been generous with the limitations, but any new damage could seriously complicate the risk of a bad recovery that never got Harry back up to 100% on that ankle.

 Will looked at he r and Shrugged.  Hamlet seesm to just  'go along' with the ride.

With a defeated look on her face Harry would reluctantly shake her head at the offer of being juiced by Stefi, she could still remember what had happened last time she had walked on an injury...come to think of it, it was the same bloody leg!

Feeling useless and defeated she would allow herself to be helped back into bed ” I just wanted to keep an eye on my sister during her first combat jump” Harry explained in a subdued voice ” stupid  bloody Kray bloody Shadow and his bloody stupid training exercises, wait and till I get my bloody hands on him, I’ll show him where he can bloody shove the bloody San Diego academy and and it’s bloody survival training” Harry grumbled as she settled down on the bed, trying her best not to start crying ”you’d better go baby...at least one of us should respond to the alert” she quietly spoke to Will as she stared up at the ceiling.

  Stefi  smiled   with a Nod,..there is a reason the San Deigo  Pilots  last longer then the others... most of them ..AFTER..they have been shot  down...

  Will Nodded, ..I'll stay until the SM  calls

"Yeah, those that actually survive the bloody training" Harry retorted, rolling her eyes at the idea of surviving after being shot down. In her limited experience downed fighters either exploded or augured themselves into the ground meaning that often as not the pilot was either space dust or paste, neither of which had much requirement for survival training, though to be fair that opinion could be down to her current mood "there must be something I can do? I mean I can't just sit here for three days I'll go bloody mad!"

  Stefi nods to  HArry,tell y ou what?.. Id  Cat  agrees...  we can get yuou in a hover chair  and Down to the HAnger Dec  with CAptain Morris ..throw a head set on while you watch  a screen with him..

Harry would hesitate a few moments, unsure as to whether Morris would be alright with working with her after yesterday’s outburst, however watching a screen whilst doing Morris’ admin work had to be better than sitting around here ”Sure, if Captain Morris is ok with that...though I could do with a robe or something to wear” she said suspecting that the clothes she’d come in with had been cut from her body prior to surgery.

     We'll get  yu  some  Blue  scrub pants  and  split the   one leg.. and a Tunic, though it   won't have  RAnk on it...Not enugh time to send   your BF here  for  Something, now that the shuttles  are here...

 she leaned out the door  and  shouted to a nearby Med Tech..who scrambled  faster  then most of the pilots  did  for Shadow.

 ..when you're  ready..Have this one take you to  the hanger Dec.

Despite her earlier claims that she was fine it was clear that she was still a little groggy from the anaesthesia and would have struggled to reach the hangar dec unaided let alone fly. All the same Harry would almost eagerly pull on the baggy, formless medical scrubs, smiling up at Will as she adjusted the top upon her slender frame ”see...don’t say I never dress up nice for you” she said before, with a bit of help, proceeding to climb into the chair they had found for her. After making herself comfortable she would place Hamlet within her lap before saying ”ok, I’m ready let’s do this”

"I find that acceptable," Hawkeye says with a nod, "I'm going to send a guardian with you to help you with the chair, and as a precaution if we take boarders." she explains, signalling for a medtech to bring in a hover chair. "Stay safe, and if you get too tired come back here to sleep."

Once she sees Harry is situated properly and a guardian heads out with her and Will she will return to preparing the MedLab for the casualties of the upcoming combat.
