 NA-CE smiled and said," Thank you Lt. I will be here after jump-offs helping Lt is that allowed?"

  Stefi sighed,You are combat Medic..your job is  to  slow down thier  dying , enough , for me to fix them up here. You'll be on a shuttle , most likely.

 NA-CE nodded and replied," Yes Ma'am I will do my best. I have done some boarding actions before as well." NA-CE finished her coffee and then said," I will see you around Lt. thank you for everything." NA-CE will wait for a response and head for her next destination, the observation Dec.

Nikki and Haley walked into the Med area.  Immediately Nikki was descended on.  Most of her gear taken and armor put aside and secured for later.  Haley was sat in a chair nearby "It'll be okay Punkin'" She smiled for her so she would not worry.  Eventually her shirt had to be cut away, her arm now a rather purple tone from the bruising, a surgery gown was put on as the doctor and techs began repairing her arm.  One shot took much of the swelling down and allowed them to correctly place her arm.  Nikki did hiss from that pain.  When they were nearly through Nikki looked at the Doctor "Will I miss shore leave?  I kinda promised Haley to take her to the carnival on Bura.  Promise not to use the arm"

  after the  tasks  were  done . Foam injected  into the   bone  area, then the  plast over the   areas   then  went in on.

 The Med Tech that worked on Nikki said,well Ma'am..Its   like this, You keep  that arm in the sling.. don't lift anything  with it  for the next 9 hours .. and nothing over   10 lbs  for 9 hours after that.. you screw it up, you won't make the next Jump off.

"So holding a stick with cotton candy or a corndog in my right arm would be okay then" she smirked and winked knowing her right arm was okay.  With the pain med she felt it would be okay to joke.  The finished, or rather thought they finished slinging her arm "Can I get a different sling?  one I can secure to my body or torso?  In case it gets jostled about?" She knew she had seen one.  It looked like a normal sling but had a strap at the elbow that went around her back and under her right arm and snapped or velcroed (she could not remember which) to the slings edge along her wrist side.

Haley thought about who she would invite.  She thought Nikki and her would go to thier quarters first, might not go is Nikki had to rest or not.

 The Med tech went off and came back  with a Black slinf, but the 'cradle'  was  a harder plastic.

 You put  your  arm  in the  cradle, give it a  squeeze, it  wil keep your   are from movign too much. the   strap  goes  around    your waist, thand the shoulder stap  , across  your body..should   keep it   'still'... Don'[t  ride  any of the  'horse things'  down there.

 She looks at Haley,there are  fairs   dottted all over , Harevst time and such?.. there is one between the Aiefiled  and that small town... Huamns influened some of the food, but   most everything is Burian  or Angel

"I think that is the one I heard about.  so good food, some rides and games.  See some of the competitions and exhibits.  sounds like good fun to me." she said as the sling was put on.  Eventually because her arm was in the sling, she was given a Hangar trolley with her things and allowed to dress.  Finally standing she thanked the entire Med crew.  coming out of the bay she smiled at Haley "Okay Punkin', one small stop to place stuff back in my skeeter back to home for me to change and we get to go visit the carnival." she steered the trolley with her good arm and body.  As well as a little help from Haley. "Figure out who you want to go with us?  or is it just you and me?"
"I think Roll is with the largs, or at least Gregor and Thor.  Heard some say he was there cuz some guy was threatening the largs.  sumthin' like that.  Can is with Doc Christies wife.  Not sure is he is there or not.  Haven't seen Casey today"
"Well we'll ask her parent" she smiled.

Carefully they made it to the Hangar Dec and with a techs help replaced her survival hits, weapons and machete in her ride, then retrieve her other gear from her ride.  Once things were stored, they moved to the lift.  Nikki slung her gear on her right side and carried her gear.  To keep Haley happy, she let her carry (for as long as she could) her weapon harness.

 This was weird for NA-CE to go on shore leave before she actually fully checked in. because right now she had no clue what to do or where to go. NA-CE walked into Med Tech in her duty uniform with a normal medical kit bag on her side. NA-CE walks up to anyone at the front desk and said," I am NA-CE technically new Med Tech looking to check in officially."

  The  clerk  Moti9ned  to NA-CE  to wait. about 10 Minuted later, Stefi came out of the  offcie, and  was wearing her 'steel stare'.

  Hello  MT  NA-CE.... I  wasn't  important  enough to get invited  to the big Luncheon., that was  the  chalk talk for the upcoming jump off.... That means, they didn't want me there , because   i'm not  a big  shooter? Or  they were  afraid to let me know the scope of what is going to happen. Last time that happened  there were Bodies  everywhere.

 Now?  what do you need?

 NA-CE smiled and replied," Well that means we might be very busy soon. I am officially checking in Lt on my last command I was under MedTech during non combat, and was assigned combat positions by the ground commander during jump offs, is that how it is done here on the Hermes Lt."

  Stefi    punched in her   Vidboard, Brought  up NA-CE and   made  some notaions.Real simple on the Hermes. If the  SM throws you on a shuttle, you go kill bad guys and fix  good  guys. I*f you stay on the Hanger  dec..you'll be  with the first n people  to be sent  out  after the  lead groups. If not, you fix and fight on the Hanger Dec, or where ever you end up  , beating down bad  guys.

 You shouldn't get bored on a Jump off.

  NA-CE nodded then responded." That sounds great to me Lt., kill bad guys save the good guys. Yes it sounds like I wont Lt. When is my first Med Tech watch LT."

  ..well,  NA-CE...you are  a Combat med tech. so you have no real watch , unless you come in before Jump off to start staging instruments  and bandages, and sort out   Foam and plas..other then that yu have other skills to work on, so you don't end up0 on the  wrong end of a OR table..

 NA-CE giggled and replied," Yes Lt. you are correct, thank you if you ever need help and I am on board please ask Lt., so should I check in with the SM and SEC?"

  Stefi  thought for a Moment.You can go toe  SEC and check in..Master Chief  Lyri is there, If the SM isn't  she  may be able to help you out. The  'big lunch' is over. I suspect Beth will be going to the rec Dec  to unwind

 NA-CE smiled then replied," Thank you Lt. if you ever need help in here let me know." NA-CE saluted and headed for SEC.

 NA-CE walked into Med Tech and said," This is AI trooper Velta she took some hard hits I did a field scan but I would like her to have a full scan just to make sure."

 The Med tech at the  door   waved them both to a Stall, Stefi came out   when the desk tech told her  they had a injury.

  She took the Vid board  from the  Med tech  who  sent the scan screen up.

  what do we have her,  Tech  NA-CE.

 NA-CE brought Velta into the room, when Stefi showed up NA-CE replied," Yes LT. this is Velta a AI trooper, she took quite a few low powered pulse shots in her armor. I did a field scan, I just want to make sure their isnt no hidden internal damage, I brought Velta here for a full scan just to be sure."

STefi frowned,Low dose  Pulse  fire, is still pulse  fire. Impacts  add up...

 The Med tech showed the results on the screen above the table, Velta   laided thre, a bit  embarrassed with  no top on.

 well..you have   severe bruising, by tomorrow, your  chest will look like an Occui or Sanri..Nira will give  you a shot, to help spread the  blood  clotting. You shouldn't  do anything heavy for the next day...maybe  two.

 she  tapped out a  COM  number  and said,Master Chief? You have a trooper here from the Mech  area, severe  internal Bruising of the chest. I suggest some  'poly foam' or  aan extra , thin layer of  ppaddign   for the chest area... Out side of that, It make be beter  to use  Photo-weapons, rather then Live  ammo... Your trooper should be  on the bench for the next two days.

Velta was Bummed, she winced when Nira   gave her the shot , just under her breasts.
so? what do i do for two days?

 Paperwork...use   a lube gun on the mechs, mess  with your   armor....Don't life anything heavy, don't use a Hammer, Just...don't be stupid.

she frowned  as  Nira  helped her put on her Tunic.already done... she sighed.

 NA-CE looked t Velta and said," Sorry I was just looking out for you, rest will be very good for your injuries." NA-CE moved aside when the med techs took over, she then left the room when she knew Velta was in good hands. NA-CE went to log in her checks on the other AI troopers.

 NA-CE walked into Med Tech smiled and headed for the supply area, after checking in. NA-CE had used some things from her kit when she looked and treated the AI troopers that got pummeled by low power pulse blats. She began to restock to make sure her med kit was ready to go for combat.

One of the  Med techs   gave NA-CE a smile, how are you finding your way?   We may not know where we are going, But the  Jump off is   getting closer with  each hour... There's a good bet you'll be on the ground with the troopers?
