Kira was paying close attention to the details of the mission and when Hack mentioned that there was something for them in the big ugly in the far hanger and that they were going with Roy's team up the middle she responded with a nod of her head. Kira had her game face on and was ready when he gave the word.

 When Beth was done with her speech, Sam would head over to her and say," Lt. Morrow where would you like me? What can I do to help Lt. other than to watch and learn. Are we picking up any communications from the enemy trying to talk too and organize their troops?" Sam wanted to be helpful and learn as well.

   "Hey,"  Garrat says good naturely "I droped a hilside in the first UE encounter and got my ribcage crushed in the process, the went on to capture the first live UE when you were still playing in the mountain.  I've gotten shot up on more Delta nights than you have even attended.  I was beck to back with Raja and completely burried in birds in the nest ship while you were off playing with Pirates, just because I got lucky on the last two missions doesn't mean anything.  Stephie still has a stall with my name on it."

 Lizzy went over to Harry after she talked to Captain Morris." Yeah this could get messy lets hope it goes smooth, but Harry this will actually be the first time we will fly together. " She was going to say more and then Shadow addressed the pilots.

 Lizzy listened carefully in the first strafing run  Flight E ( Fitz's flight) will be right behind Shadow and Frans, up the middle then after that her Flight will stay covering the ground troops and hitting the enemy troops and AA guns.  It was pretty straight forward.

 When Shadow was done Lizzy got up gave Harry a hug and said," Good luck see you when we all get back." Lizzy would then go and pick up a purple and yelow can in case she has to land or pod out. She will then head for her fighter do one last check, put the cans with her and then get ready to launch and kick some Empire ass.

Zob narrowed his eyes, "I didn't ask to be put with those worthless pirates Garrat i was told to as part of a undercover operation, if it hadn't been for that i would of been there fighting along side everyone else... now i gotta make up for lost time"

As the Demons hand engulfed her own, Isobel would sweetly smile up at him as he introduced himself before bantering with equally large man with a very big gun causing her to look even more like a small girl playing dress up ”well with the pair of you around to do the heavy lifting I’m sure I’ll be quite safe...oh and I’ll be sure to make you both look suitably heroic” she said with an impish smile before turning to look up at Zob as he mentioned wanting to have a date night with a special lady ”so would that be the first or second redhead I saw you dancing with?” she asked as her natural curiosity took over. Unfortunately it was also at this point that she was called to her briefing with Lt Morrow ”Well it was nice meeting you guys but it looks I’m needed elsewhere” she said, clearly disappointed that she wouldn’t be learning who Zob’s beau was just yet.

The briefing would turn out to be pretty straight forward; Beth was in charge of all things technology and communications wise, and Izzy was to accompany SM Spencer and his team along with the instruction not to do anything stupid for the sake of the story. Although she was unable to promise that she wouldn’t do anything risky she certainly had no intention of getting herself killed today.

I have a wall of  screens  almost twice  this  size.. each  one  quartered into   4..so we can have   every Cap ship  on screeen... Th Admiral  and the CAptain?  They are damn smart..but there isn't a damn thing they can do..if they don't know were the Bad Guys  are

  she points to a Layout  of Vid boards, that Orria   was dutifully  plugging  into  couplings,..those  are for the  ground folks... They   can COM us.... could even use  a Vidbaord  when they have time....but they'll live   and  Die because of thier Omincom operator... they send us the feeds..   Hack, Hennings or Bale  can make  the call...you'll need to set things up like this  for the Bura  fleet and its operations.

 At the Ammo  staging Hanger..people   were comign in to  get   smoke cannisters… and Demo  folks  were getting   something  different..a  4  foot long..  6 inch diameter  'tube shaped'  weather proof   canvas  bag.. with a   strap   and  a  Pocket  on the out side... The  fellow  handing out the  Tubes would say in Momotone...50 pounds  of  C-10....pocket has  30  detonator's .. Cut  from the   top end....  Hemlsy  was   slipping his over the shoulder, as  was  Karson and the other Unit  Demo  Techs.

 Captain McCloud, still a bit pale, but  a few pounds  heavier   had his armor  and face paint on as he   checked through his Mags.

 The  mech riders  saw thie r machines  standing there, loaded and  primed.. nexct to  them as  an odd   shaped   4   wheel  vehicle It had  a 'hopper like' cargo   area..   witht eh  driver   sitting  in a  Metaglass  , encased  cockpit.. there  was  one , heavy Pulse gun mounted on the nose..

 The  tech who used  the mech to  fight Boarders, stood there  with Medium  boarding armor  on. as  well as  the o9ther   two Mech Techs..

 ..High Chief?.... Burians  don't have Mechs..'cept what they  took fropm the Empire..but they have this thing... they use  it   to  carry  fruit and stuff...anyway.. we  figured  we'd use it for haulign Ammo for the Mechs..got  some spare  parts    too.. so we got the go -ahead to  flow  you guys..all you have to do is give a shout and we're  there..

 The APVs  that would be  carrying the Units  in had  some camo tape  ripped off the front... leaving a  nasty looking face  staring out  at whomever   watched them approach.

”Don’t worry Liz, it will be fine” Harry said with a level of arrogance that only a veteran fighter jock could achieve, putting her arms around her so as to return Lizzy’s hug, not wishing to point out that although it was their first time flying together that they would be tackling very different roles. Having listened to Shadows briefing, Harry would be mainly covering air support, unlike Lizzy who would be supporting their ground forces. It was also rather clear that this mission could get really messy really quickly, with a large number of unknowns in the shape of hidden AA batteries and the number and composition of enemy aircraft.

It was as Harry was moving to collect her smoke bombs that she would notice Abby for the first time today with her moving to intercept her baby sister ”Hey little fish, how are we feeling? And how was last night, did you hook up with anyone nice so as to calm your nerves?” she asked as she hugged her a little tighter than was strictly necessary and kissed her cheek ”Now do you remember what we talked about? I’m not going to need to shout at you am I?”

    Garrat goes from happy-go-lucky to deadly serious at the mention of the date. "Good.  She really deserves it, and so do you if you don't mind my saying so."

    His eyes trace to Sakura, "Give Zob znd Melia room on this one.  No published footage for now.  Melia has been through hell and doesn't need the stress or attention and this man,"  He pats zob on the shoulder "Isn't too far behind her.  His family represented everything that could be good and brave in the empire and it was wiped out in one night over a petty disaggreement on the queens part." He smiles faintly "Your in heavy company little one.  This war has more dimensions than you can possibly imagine and you have to be careful how you unfold them to the public or it can destroy a lot of suprisingly good people."

After the briefing Kira got her smoke grenades and moved with purpose towards the big ugly and saw that they had the mechs locked and loaded for combat and when Eddie Blank spoke she looked over the Burian machine, "Sounds good Mr Blank will have you folks hang back until we can reach the mountains entrance, once there you folks will come in and resupply us and patch up any damage..."

Kira then stood up by her mech and spoke up, "The empire is gonna fight like cornered rats and they got the home field advantage, but what they face here is superior weapons and training and the toughest most ruthless sons of bitches the black has ever seen!" she then looked to those and smiled, "My brothers and sisters in arms I rather fight by you then any army of thousands... let no enemy forget how menacing we are, WE ARE RANGERS!... NOW LETS GET OUT THERE AND KICK SOME EMPIRE ASS!" She then hopped in her mech and closed the cockpit and fired up the systems and made her way out to join the groups leaving for battle.

Sam followed Beth and looked at the screens, she listened intently to the instructions Beth was giving her. Sam nodded as Beth gave her the low down on the screens and what they where doing here, they we the eyes and ears, people would live or die with what they where doing here. Sam looked at how everything was set up so she could reproduce it when she was doing this for the Burian Fleet.

 Sam would say, " Yes Lt. it is our job to give them information they need to make the best tactical decisions. Yes I will definitely set this up for the Burian fleet, thank you. This is quite the network Lt.." Sam looks at the last 4 screens and they are blank, if they come up those people will require her to keep them alive, she will not let them down, Sam was ready to do her job and keep them all alive as best she can.

 Sam would say," Yes Ma'am if these screens come up I will be ready to keep them alive Ma'am."

Zob nodded and placed a hand on Garrats shoulder, "Lets get out there and kick some empire ass friend" he then made his way over to the ammo hanger to stock up on rounds and get a container of C10 for himself.

 Lizzy took one last look at her Fighter when she saw Nikki at Justin's fighter, and Shadow was talking to her. She overhead Nikki would be with Fityz, her flight, Lizzy would walk over and say," Welcome to Fitz's flight Nikki, we will fly together." Looking at Shadow she will say," I will keep an eye on Nikki LC she will do fine, good hunting Sir."

 Lizzy will smile at Nikki and say," Hey just stay with me Nikki we will kick ass together." Lizzy smiled and then headed for her fighter and got her helmet on and powered up her fighter and got ready for take off. This was it her second combat, yeah she only needed one kill for Ace, but being on ground support she might not get that today, but it didn't matter protecting the ground troops and Karl in the Morning Star was fine with her.

  The  screams  of Mantis were heard over  head, as the  Zeus  fighter  wing headed  South.. wearing thier ESN Colors, only an expert  could  tell what ship they were  from..and the info   the enemy got  was , Shadow  was leading his  people south..

  Shadow said   Calmly, into his COMsRight.... in a few minutes  were taking off,  just another Burian patrol, or perhaps  Burians  showing off   for the Admiral..   we head  south  east Until  we  reach the Lake... then  we  Pivot North...  we   follow the rive r  right up through the Valley.

 It might be hard to see?... but if you see  clumps   of UEs.. go ahead  and Pump  37MMs into them.. frag their buggy asses.... If you  run out  of 37 MM.. You  say you are out.. come back here  and reload, then get back into the fight..

 formation will be this .. my flight on the   west  bank of the river..Frans on the   east...STeele  and Howe  to  my port side...Foster  and He-La to frans  Starboard... the pusle  and  shoudl etar the forest up  pretty well... and   37MM as well..we just got to make  sure   we don't waste  those  37MMs....because  we are gonna be kicking a hornets nest..and  the  things  will be coming out to sting

    Garrat nodded and climbed on his transport after one last hug from Anteela,  He had restocked hie usual after coming back from his last mission, asgard roungs and smoke bombs on the thigh bandoliers.  Asgard pistol on back, 2 occui sub machine pistols milled from assault fifles, shaped charges, and c-10 with mackgyver kit.  spare food and water, and a bag of refills which he usually left on his transportation with climbing rope and Sakura spies a Gothic Cthulu plush doll peakin out of the zipper.

   Troops in teh Valley  were   setting up, waiting  for the  'burians' to land on the east   ridge...suddenly..on a loop.. the Music   pouring into thier  COMs.

  some  were taking ehad gear of  trying to see if they could Fix it... scouts  pointed to the lake  , the rooster tails looking a massive wave... Then.. the  scouts died...Pulse  flashes    twinkles in the distance  and then   screams of Mantis   grew  louder...  trees  branches  and Bodies   were torn to  bits  by   but the    slashing    rounds, small fires  started , causing smoke to  rise

 Howe's expert eyes   shouted..armor on the west.. take them out... larrgan 'tanks' were lined up to face east to  act as   artillery... Howe  and his  flight opened  up

  4  of the   6   vehicles   Blew  apart, like hideous jack in the boxes .. the same   happend  on the    east, as  armor over  there  were facing the west cliffs..

  as the    aircover    fighters  rose Up... Ariv called into the comes,..there  are the many hole opening along the   north  wall..UES!!!

 Now .. the  fighters    came  out  from behind  the  North face.... and Hell was about to break loose.

 Beth  listened  to   the COMs , and watched the  screens  from the    fighters.. and  the APVs...

 she  pointed at   the Vidbaord  and    gave  Orria    3  numbers   to pounch in for the song  to play.. and suddenly her  hand s were moving over the     buttons and  switches..typing  faster  then most verians...,  redline s grew on her    feed screens , then vanished  as  Blue    filled the   bars.

 she  spoke  as she  watched.

 ...  both sides   can into the other side's  feed..... we use  music    for three things... 1... it   gets our peopel going....2... it  demoralizes  the bad guys... and 3..it easts into thier  feeds, that our sniffers find.. drowning themj..they have to shut them down..or listen to whatever  we feeds them... I onc e  fed in  " the wheels on teh Bus go round and round".... the Demons   shut down their  COM tower...

 she points to  another set of  Vid boards...see those  rewd lines?/ those are thier sniffers, trying to get into ours.. see if yhou can channel the Music  into them.... If hyou can't  run sniffers.. you might be in the wrong  business...

 Sam watched and listened as Beth spoke, the music was an amazing idea she would definitely implement that for the Burian Fleet.  Sam chuckles when Beth mentions the Demons shutting their COM tower down.

 Sam saw the red lines, Sam smiles and says," Yes Ma'am already done." Sam would then start typing and she will try and run the her sniffers to run the music into the Red Sniffers.

  Beth    barely looked   but    couls see  red  bars shrinking.....Good Job Sam.. Orria .. keep feeding Muisc  in to the  feeds... only ..'football' stuff'  or 'scarey  stuff'..no funny stuff..

 Hack    came over to teh screens with Henning  BAle   amd Morris

 CAptain Si was outside  with Rivets . making  sure  Burians  were loading    new belts.

 Sam smiled and kept working to get rid off all the red lines, the music was helping her concentrate as well. Sam will say still typing, " Thank you Ma'am." Sam will keep working and she will also make sure her 4 screens do not turn on.
