that's a big thing.. My Daughter down NC had her husband die, and she's down there with two little girls... there are 'friends' dow there..but..noit to pick on anyone?.. there's a big difference between the south and the north.
they help'when they can'..but often just laze around while there is something they came over to 'help' with ( more focused on the eats she promised).
we're all up here in PA.. ,if she could get a teaching job up here she would come up, but, in my area, nieces , nephews and other such family members always have the inside track.. I don't have that kinda pull.
Both her and My oldest Son moved down south to ' get jobs and get away from the snow and cold'...My Son struggles.. and my daughter is better off as far was a Job, its hard being a single Mom, when you don't have family close by when you need them.
My advice?.. when you guys meet folks... be careful who you welcome as friends..
