there is nothing good  about   moving.. i hated  it when we did it.. i hated it when my kids  did it...

Yeah I'm used to moving having done it several times while in the military, for my wife this is the farthest distance she's moved away from friends and family And while excited for new possibilities has been struggling with the loss of proximity to our support network

that's a big thing.. My Daughter  down NC had her husband  die, and she's down there  with  two little girls... there are 'friends' dow there..but..noit to pick on anyone?.. there's  a big difference between the south and the north.

 they help'when they can'..but  often just laze around  while   there is something they came over to 'help' with ( more focused on the eats  she promised).

 we're  all up here in PA.. ,if she could get a teaching job up here  she  would come up, but, in my area,  nieces , nephews  and   other such family members always have the inside track.. I don't have that kinda  pull.

 Both her  and My oldest Son moved  down south to ' get jobs and get away from the snow and cold'...My Son  struggles.. and  my daughter is better off  as far was a Job, its hard being a single Mom, when you don't have family close by when you need them.

 My advice?.. when you guys  meet folks... be careful who you welcome  as friends..

 Yes good luck moving is a pain in the ass, I moved a lot when I was in the Navy as well.

Yes but she has around 24-22 hours to recover for jump off. Lizzy will have a smile for that whole time most likely.

Last day of packing today. Got all the items minus what we need for tonight in the house.

Tomorrow the movers come and clear out everything else. Then we "move" back in unpacking one of the cars for about half a week, off to one last Texas convention (PAX south) then this coming Monday its repack my car, load up the cats and hit the road to Va.
