Jug walked upon the field then barked out a command for calisthenics and warming up.  Instantly the Gava lined up and spaced out, giving room for all.  After about 10 minutes of going so Jug paired the Gava up to work in pairs.  For a human the moves seemed strange, but for Gava it worked with their body structures.  Jug paired Bog this human crew member.  One would bend at the waist, the other would roll over their others back giving a butterfly kick, then land bent over for the other to do so.  If Jug thought they were just going through motions one found she was a harsh task master and they would redo the exercise.  Liig raised a hand and asked or rather stated an opinion about one exercise.  a 'simple locked palm thigh step up toss and kick'.  could a spin kick be tried instead of a somersault kick?  Jug thought and decided it could not hurt.  several tried and it was working well.  Then she broke them into threes.  more hard work outs. finally there was the circle to which all sat in a circle and talked about what they learned or wanted to see, air grievances, learn, and get updates.  Jug talked about getting a person to help teach stick use.  There was the rumors about crate slates to which Jug laughed.  Still Jug pointed that spears do not always have to be thrown to be affective.  She also thanked JD for helping them.

Starting the warming up callisthenics JD was a little slow with these albeit he completed them slightly later than the Gava. Being paired with Bog, JD found his skill in hand to hand was somewhat above intermediate, so managed to handle himself well enough.

TI-JO had finished his stretching and was doing some body weight exercises before he took off on his run.

  Chief Post was   lookig over the field , picking up bits of  [pa[er  Civie  kids  left. and checkign to make  sure the free  weights  were  secure...

 Noticingf TI-JO, the Chief walked over...hey..you're new?.. I'm cheif Post..I tend the field and the lcokers and all this  stuff, and Caoch the football team.

 That door over there, has the   Crew  firing range...  he points.

TI-JO nodded to the Chief. I've never made it into football. Thanks for letting me know about the range. he didn't stop his workout. Care to go for a run? I was just about to...

 The Chief  smiled  sadly,I would like to..but its  hard  for  me to keep up with this tin Leg... Got Hit  by Plasma a few years back during a boarding operation. I used to be a Runnign back  on the team... Admiral was  mice  enough to  sign ,e Under the 'Quartmaster' umbrella... I coach the team... take care of the fields. schedule  events  all that stuff..but man..would i just like to run again. like  i used to.

That sucks, it's really something that your command let you hang around and stay useful. at this point, he was beginning to rotate back through some of his exercises, he had to keep his heart pumping to stay ready for his run, but he didn't want to disrespect the warrior.

  Chief  nods  with a  sad  smile,There's  a  hand full of offciers that let folks like me, have a spot in this war.  at least have the   e;levator guards    are missing some part of thier body... can't be much use on boarding parties, but  we  can still gun down enemies if they step on our dec....

 ..you go about your  exercise. I'm just  making sure  we have things batten down...

The angel's face showed just the vaguest sign of sympathy for the Chief. I hope I'd be able to do the same if something like that happened to me. he paused for a moment, Thanks for the welcome, Chief Post. I'll see you around, I'm sure. he wasn't sure how to end the increasingly awkward conversation, so he let it die with that and took off at a decent clip, this was a fun run after all, so he's not pushing himself.

TI-JO finished up his run, taking some time to cool down. He grabbed up his gear and headed to the chow side of the Rec Dec, deciding he'd shower after a bite, then relax in his quarters after.

  as they walked  down the  stairs, Shadow   lead them down. Those of you  who are  watching ,   can  sit on one of the benches. when were done, those who can still eat and drink wil have a welcome meal on me on the rec dec

Major TA-LI added.I am hear to take care of any woulnd, and to make sure  i can stablize  anyone  , so they might make it to the  Med tech. Lt Simmons is already   setting up a  stand by littler  team

   they reach the  Field  . Shadow takes off his  flight  jacket  and tunic . tucking his  'everyday' Blue max into a pocket. his  weapons belt  joins  the pile..so? you want to use  Vibar  Knives..or  hand to hand?

 TA-VS  said,Hand  to Hand, its been a while  since i beat up a human..I want to  feel it...

 Shadow chuckled,oh?...you'll feel it  already

Roy gave a humorless grin, standing next to LO-GN.  "Better be taking notes there, Private.  Your buddy going first gives you just a little bit better chance...except that Shadow fights his way, and I fight mine, so what you learn watching Shadow fight probably won't help you much."  He shrugged, casually.

"But it's a good chance for you to get an idea of just how unfit you are, if you see that your buddy there can't even hold his own against a pilot, much less a Marine."  He didn't bother adding that he, himself, wasn't sure how well he'd hold up if he took on Shadow...they'd never even sparred against each other...but Shadow was one of the few people on board that Roy was genuinely unsure he could beat.

The Angel didn't need that information right now.  When and if he finally got some humility pounded through the asteroid that was taking up space between his shoulders, then Roy might give him some insights into just how stupid he'd been to antagonize the LC.

Justin spotted Shadow leading a number of folks towards the playing fields. This was too good an opportunity for some easy credits to pass up. Clamberring out of the skeeter he trotted over to the group. Slipping instep alongside Kray.

 Shadow  shurgged,scarhere and there? Just adds character.. hard to get them when you never  fight though...just saying.

  The Major  just smiled at that, TA-VS was  built  just as well, but   no roadmaps on his chest or  back.

 Ok TA-VS..here's the rules...we'll make it  easy for you...  first   2 Falls wins, or? if   one fighter is incapacitated ...we'll stand on the 50 yard line...you can't go past the hash marks, and you can't  go past either  40 yard line..you  step out  you get a strike,,, 3 strikes, you lose...

 as Shadow  stepped out onto the   50  Colla  asked..hey, Mate? before you start this.. how many of them  stories  are true?


 Shadow Grinned..Can't say   for sure.. there are alot out there....I think the best thing is  to believe them all, and take it from there.

 TA-LI  asked..I thought  Gambling was forbidden on human vessels

Morris  watched   as    Shadow   move down filed to the  45, between the hashes.. TA-VS walked  straight out on the 50.

 It was supposed to be forbidden, too much worry about bad blood from losers.... But  in these modern times. its better to allow the  crew something to focus on between   killing  and Being killed.

Looks like these Angles are either predisposed to being extensively cautious. Or have seen Ta-V in action and know he's not that proficient; they don't dont him to think their not supporting him so they are making token bets.  Justin observed.

Roy shrugged.  "Or maybe they're just not in the habit of betting on physical contests.  Plenty of people don't care to play the odds, even with token bets..."  His eyes never turned away from the exercise--it wasn't really a fight, after all--as he analyzed the tactics the Angel used, comparing them to others Roy had seen engaged in hand-to-hand combat before.

  TA-Vs  used  Angel training..  wider stance  but  quick movements.. where  as  Shadow  had his  stance   closer. and Moves  smoothly . like a shark  circling.

     TA-Vs  burst  towards  Shadow  he faked an Over  hand   right  as he  spun and his Left   foot  was  brought   into a    Round house kick to the head of the Ducking   Pilot...only...the   Pilot  did  Not  duck.  a strong, hard  Blw  to the    Leg    stopped in and   an Upper   cut that slammed into the  Angel's  6 pak    staggered the Angel  two were he   stumbled  back  , limping  a little.

 Just so you know?... we're havign a tunnel run tomorrow  after   dinner time... i don'[t care  ho mauled you are..you'll be running....Oh?..and I sparred  with   Captain Si

 TA-VS looked to see where the  40 yard  line  was,  and that was his mistake,  two  quick   steps   with his right arm cocked back, then triggered as TA-VS heard the  last  step  and was greeted     in what...used to be..His nose.. Blood splattered  , a cry of pain  and the   angel flew  backwards , landing on his back..he was half way out of the 'Box'

   Shadow frowned...Man..no wonder so many bad things happened  to me when i was little.. if my guardian Angel was like you guys... Roy?  You're up!

Roy glanced over at LO-GN.  "I'll give you one last chance to reconsider your position...you've just seen a combat pilot score three solid hits, without getting so much as a close call out of it.  If you're still so sure of your Angel superiority, I'm more than happy to beat it out of you...but I won't be as forgiving as Shadow."  It was a calm statement, with no bravado or braggadocio in his tone...just a smooth, clinical detachment, like he was asking if someone wanted to go ahead with an amputation that wasn't absolutely necessary, but was the easiest solution.

That's a possibility they may not; just as they may not be in the habit of brawling with comerads in arms.  But then again they may.

  there were a few Civies  who had  come  around when the  looked  down from the   walkway  near the shops.

 two of them  had  ventured to  put  creds on Shadow.

   Shadow  went to when to his  jacket  and belted on his weapons  Belt, he checked the COM for the time, and just put the  t-shirt on,  and  wrapped his  tunic   in the Jacket to Carry.

The Major  was   looking at  TA-Vs.This one has to go to Med Tech.. he needs   his   Hose  rebuilt..they might  have to seed a tooth or two..

TA-VS looked   bleary eyed ..both  eyes  were forming  dark rings under them.

 Alright , GO-GA.. take you  flightmate to Med  Tech... he opened is COM..This is   The LC. We have an Angel  recruit  coming  down for a nose rebuild, Is  Stefi around ?

 first?  the only rules were, 'no weapons".. 2nd" your Buddy   tried to kick me  first. He  was just lucky he go me in a  good  mood. I will say this? there are lots of ways
 to win a fight, the most fun way, is when your  opponent is a dumbass...

 LO-GN looked at Roy...I have never backed  down from a fight., and i am 370 years old..

 Shadow chuckled, Lo-Gn looked at Him Annoyed. Following suit the  Angel took of his  tunic and shirt, and  stepped a bit slowly , onto the field.

 Shadow grinned at Roy  then said to the others...Keep in mind. I had  to make sure i didn't  give  TA-VS  a concussion or  somehting that may affect his  flight...The  SM? Doesn't need to worry about that.. if you can carry your weapon and  run. that's  all he needs.

Captain Morris  gave   Shadow  a look of  reprimand, but the stoic Englishman did see  to be trying to hid  a  smile..Proceed SGT Major.. I am rather looking forward to  a cup of tea  and cheesecake  before  sack time..

After paying out winnings Justin  grabbed a snack then headed back to the 25. Chambered aboard. Slipping into the flight seat where he returned to the task of updating its system and surveillance.

As they walked onto the field, Roy said, "Same boundaries as the LC set.  Your choice between bare hands or training blades."  He sounded utterly unconcerned about what was about to happen, like he was talking about taking out trash or wiping up some dust.

 LO-Gn  smiled...Fist  will be  find... Your  LC was lucky, he distracted   TA-VS when he  hit  his face.... I will not be distracted...

 I believe you! Its hard to be distracted , when you are  unconscious !

 LO-GN started, it what seemed to  be  some Angel style as they slowly tried to close of   the  foe , then use  size  and power to win the day.
