Been at a local gaming convention PAX south. My wife and I planned it as our last hoorah before we move on Monday and after she los th her job it became a symbol of defiance that we wouldn't be beat especially since it had been paid for and budgeted months ago.

A little tipsy as we went out for drinks with friends we hadn't seen in years, so apologies if my posts that are coming aren't.... the best quality.

Freezing here today. Had to deice the car to go to church. It was still freezing when I came home again. There's also a thick fog which still hasn't lifted at 2:30 in the afternoon.

I HATE WINTER!!!

I made one post..going to leave  to play..it looks  bad,..solid ice  where  my car is parked.. yard is  icy , it  will be worse on the hill, its  25 here, so i'm thinking it will be in the teens up there...

 I told the guys we were goign to back it if there is too much Ice... See you all later!

Been in the minus region past 3-4 days here (back end of that cold snap that tried taking out my hot water heater and pipes 2 weeks ago).  All I can tell you is if it that cold let your hot water drip in a small steady stream so they won't freeze.  If you have a cold weather package on your car, plug it in, or put it in your garage.  And keep the roughest damn kitty litter in your trunk incase you're out and can't get traction.  Always keep a blanket and food in the car (I have a small box with those belvida biscuits and a bottle of water)

just got back..fingers  are froze...it was 19 on the hill..winf bl;ew in gusts...the field was  crunchy  ice...played for about an hour  and 45 minutes...waiting for my finger to hurt!

 going into the stadium, was harder then  the field, we played on the grass field..turef  was like a hockey rink.

should ahve played hockey instead of football then.

 never liked   playign hockey.. we played with out skates, i got beat up too m uch!

lol, I didn't do too many sports, swimming was my favorite but when my boobs got so big it made it hard to swim fast anymore. Running can also be dangerous as well, but I did play soccer in high school, I tried to do track but again the running thing. hehehehe
I was more of a science and math girl anyways.
Yeah Hockey can be a rough sport, I can skate but never tried Hockey, tried Ice Skating for a bit but again hard to keep my balance with watermelons on my chest. lol

used to downhill ski when I was younger (and still had cartilage in my knees).  Never competitively, but had tons of fun.  When I was in school they always wanted me to cross country ski (hated it) and ice skate (it was okay, but felt more like a lumbering ox and not a ballerina).  I did like playing yukigasun (a cross between a snowball fight and capture the flag).

  we had  old skis..i mean real old... we would go behind the  rockdump  and   crosscountry ski... i like that.. i was  good  at  'real' sking... then a fact of life  around here? if you doin;'t have mioney, you can't go to a real ski place...

 once I talke d friend into laying football all year round, it didn';t matter any more...we only have ski 'clubs'for school here  anyway... my mailman and my granddaughters  said  the last two  trips were calle doff  because it was  too warm... no school Monday, they might be able to get machines to add to this nice?..i dunno.

Yeah, sorry...I had not expected yesterday to turn into as long a day as it was, which resulted in the wind being taken out of my dails for most of today...

 we all have days like that..some worst then others... relax, we're here when you are ready.

Making last posts for a while (at least until tomorrow evening/night) we start our trip to Va tomorrow.

be careful.. here is   western PA  we had  ice last night.. and  its snowing  pretty hard now., don't  know what its like in VA!
