I knew Saturday was going to be a long day...tech rehearsals always are.  But the place that's producing the show was also having a fund-raising gala Saturday night...and I'm friends with both the people running the place (one of the reasons I'm in the show...they both contacted me, separately, and asked me to audition for it, even though I wasn't planning on it)...so I stuck around after rehearsal to help them finish setting up for it.

And then they asked me to come to it.  And, y'know...I don't have that many social occasions, so I did.  And then I stuck around afterwards to help clean up.  And that was how I went from only having four hours of Saturday scheduled to having Saturday turn into a fourteen-plus-hour day.  And I don't regret going, but man, when I got home, I was BUSHED.

Today started at church (I work in the nursery, helping keep track of the 18-month to 3 year-old kids so their parents can go to class), then I got home and had to shovel snow (it actually snowed Thursday night/Friday morning, but I wasn't feeling well on Friday, so I didn't even step out of my apartment until it was time to go to rehearsal...and my neighbors, in spite of their repeated statements of 'thanks for clearing the walks, we should really take a turn with that sometime' apparently decided that this was not that time...so the front walks had two days of people trampling on the snow and packing it down...lots of ice-melter applied after I shoveled off the loose stuff).  By the time I was done with that, I just had no energy left until tonight.  Now I probably won't be able to get to sleep until 4am...*laugh*

i hate this  time of year..this is wen we get the ice..

I have grandkids here, since they don't have school tomorrow...I might be  scattered  for  posting  as we   see what the damage was  for  snow.

but i'll get posts in..then? they go home  at 4 or 5, depends when son  picks them up.

Like I always say to all you guys, post when you can, we keep things moving..but don't stress..this is supposed to be fun!

I've got dress rehearsals all week long, we open Friday night, so my evening posting will definitely be limited.  The rest of the day depends on how things are going that day...

sometimes in this  game..  things  don't go as  planned  for the GM..which? is good  and bad..

because  of  the places  in the  battle zone.. and the hammering of  vera  with Ion  rounds..  The Hermes  was in a palce  to get  attacked by those   from the verians  Fleet ( why?  maybe we'll know. maybe we will not)

I sorta painted  the Hermes into a corner... there was  not  easy way out... I looked at my battles   sheet..and only one ship  that  could help, was close enough..

but I didn't want to ';save the Hermes ' because I could... that would have cheapened the whole thing..
'
I asked   Nikki and  Lizzy to roll..there was a number they needed to reach( added together), to have the Harvestor   take the chance..or not..

 they made the rolls

what becomes of the harvest or, is  yet to be determined..its a long way to  Uden from here

Posts always rack up fast right before and during battles.  Add in the Verians that came with Maris and the pain-fest on the football field, and I can see why the turnaround on this one was faster than usual...*grin*

In reply to Admiral Hack (msg # 79):

Yeah we cross the mountains tomorrow. Little to no rain/snow in the forecast on our route but there was yesterday so taking an extra day gives time for roads to get cleared and dry

alright?... to add some spice....

Harry

lizzy

Nikki

roll 1d100....i will wait   until we get all three of your  rolls.

if any one  rolls  a '50'..you torched   Viktor..

IF...... no one  rolls a 50.. the closest one of you three to 50, without going over.. torches  him..

IF...…. all three are you are...OVER... 50, then the closest one to 50 torches Viktor

if..somehow  you guys tie.. we will use the   'time stamp' on the dice  roller..

 so..'50'.. to kill

no 50?  the closest to 50 with out going over.

if  no one us  UNDER..then closest who is over.

example... Nikki and   Harry have 60  and 90...Lizzy  rolls a 2..Lizzy wins

example  2.... Nikki rolls a 60..harry a  90 Lizzy , 76... nikki wins.

example 3... Nikki and  Harry  both roll 50... Harry's  time stamp is   :20  early there Nikki's   HArry gets the Kill..

make you rolls   as soon as  all three make thier rolls the winner   can RP out the Kill

have fun!!

very neat!..i saw this before when i was lookign  for   game vis  for our game.

alittle stoiry  on Grunt. My daughter who , now lives in  NC, had gotten divorced from her  first husband, and she and her  daughter stayed  with me   for about  2 years. I was playign Mass effect then, and she would   climb up on the couch and watch me  play..Hidign  form M osnters  and   gettign excited  during the fights...

I let her  pic one of my team on away mission. and she always  picked Grunt. I searched the sites  and Bought a Grunt  for her, and  two packs  ( 4 to a pack of  the team members ) and have them on my desk now.

I always check  for Liara,, she was my Fav as  far as   Shepard's   partner....now those  figs  are work 5 times what I paid?..( except my are out of box)

I still search for  Liara? I found  a couple, but some you had to put together and paint?..no way!... one looks goofy.. the best one,,,2000.00!!!! really?  who buys these things!!

anyway.. I have Grunt, Male shepherd, GArris.Miranda ,Tali,Legion,Thane and Mordin…. don't know why they didn't make anymore?.. there are a bunch of  the 'core' people they didn't make...I also got an Ashly one of the kids got be..she's 'out of scale"..and I never liked the character..but  I have her standing here too.

Safe travels, Melia.  Good call on the extra day, hopefully the weather cooperates with you.  If you can't post anything else, just a heads-up here that you made it to your layover point will be appreciated!
