They would continue to slow dance a little while longer before deciding to head back to the table, with Izzy noticing the difference between this time around and the first time they had danced together with Lizzy being very gentle and caring in the way that she'd held her as opposed to trying to touch her up like she'd done last time, which was something Izzy was chalking up to the alcohol.

It was as they walking back hand in hand that Lizzy would ask if she'd overheard anything about her father causing Izzy to hesitate for a few moments before deciding that Lizzy had a right to know that her father featured rather heavily in the footage she'd sent on to the media ships "as far as I'm aware he's still alive...um...Lizzy that footage I got, it's of him speaking to Ge-Fi....they were involved in the suicide attack...I'm so sorry Lizzy I really am" she quietly spoke, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze as she anxiously waited to see how she would take the news.

Zob glanced over just in time to catch Melia's gaze he returned the smile and thought it over in his head for a moment before making his way over to her, "Would you care to dance?" he asked her.

 Lizzy was having a great time the dances where great, and Izzy felt so good in her arms. They walked back towards the table when Izzy told her about the message she got and it was of her Father and he had something to do with the attack on the Hermes which the Harvester took, and so many people where killed. Lizzy stopped for a bit she felt Izzy squeezing her hand.

 Lizzy then finally said," That son of a bitch, figures he would have something to do with that and Ge-Fi is no fucking better. I wish I could just kill that asshole I feel sick having his DNA in my body." Lizzy looked like she was going too loose it, but no enough of crying over that bastard, she decided to talk to the Admiral tomorrow and maybe find out if the bastard is alive and set up a duel between fighters with him and send him a way in a fucking ball of fire.

 Lizzy hugged Izzy tight, not a sexual hug but a hug of thank you and giving her comfort. When she pulled back Izzy would see tears building but she seemed to push them away and say," Well no matter what everyone will see what type of asshole he truly is and all those people on the Harvester dead because of him. I should have killed him when I had the chance. Thank you for telling me Izzy." Lizzy then gave Izzy the first real passionate, I care so much for you kiss in public and Lizzy didn't hold back. Once she was done kissing Izzy she would back away and say," I am sorry I know you want to keep things a secret but I really needed that Izzy, I am sorry." She wasn't crying but she did seem upset for possibly going to far with such a powerful passionate kiss in public. Lizzy stood there waiting for Izzy's response, she was waiting to get slapped or yelled at.

Roy snorted softly at Lyri's question.  "How bad do you have to be for Cummings to recommend you as 'disposable', is the better question.  The landing on Calimite was as much a distraction as anything...not like we needed boots on the ground at that point.  We won the battle in space, after that we could've chipped away at the Verians on Calimite at will."  Roy shook his head.

"Admiral Hack wanted them to think, initially, that we were coming to just rescue Calimite, not to kill the whole damned fleet.  And they bit on the lure."  His voice dropped, and he leaned in so his words wouldn't be overheard.  "But Hack told me he had Cummings pick the forces to go down, knowing there was a good chance they wouldn't be coming back.  After seeing him wet himself down there on the field when his challenge fell apart, I'm not surprised he was killed while cowering in a mess tent."

  Shadow  laughed a bit,then?  Cummings  goes  down and becomes the hero of the 'human assault  Forces', at the price of  some dick head's  gutlessness?

 Hard to Tell Beth would have to look it up..or..just flat out ask Lilly, she probably counted them one  by one from the  Vid Com...

Roy shrugged.  "Gotta wonder how many resources the Empire has left, given the way they keep sending in cannon fodder with no support.  They've been winning on the weight of their reputation for a long time...got to the point where there were only a handful of species who were willing to fight, rather than just knuckle under.  I'm frankly astounded anyone stays allied with them, given the way they've left their allies swingin' in the breeze for the past few years.  The Creshians had no support at Matterhorn.  The Aqra had no Empire support to speak of.  The Hillites are still waiting for any kind of significant rescue effort, nobody came to help the Hyrians, the Rousians made a token threat on behalf of the Nivarians, the few times we've tangled with the Vampics, it's been JUST the Vampics, until now...the Verians, Roussians, and Vampics got pummeled into insignificance in this battle, and there was no significant Demon presence here..."

He shrugged, and added, "I mean, how stupid do you have to be to see the Empire abandon ally after ally after ally, and still think that they're gonna stand by you?"

  ..Maybe somethign  Doc Henry can answer?   I have to believe that the  Largrans  who came  up the slot  to help the Creshians, had to be the  Empire folks  who were supposed to  Help , Aqra?..The Fish?  thier Navy wasn't  any better then anyone elses, except for those  massive  battle ships and now?   we have them  stationed  as   Gun Platforms  over the  planet?..The Vampics... well.. that is a parasite  race if i ever  saw one?, and its clear that neither   them or  the Hyrians like each other

"Are you surprised? After all the things we've done and seen we're practically a different species to the people living their quiet little lives on their quiet little planets and stations, gods know what they're going to do with us when the war is over" Harry replied, wondering if she could ever truly go back to living a normal life...whatever one of those was. Perhaps she could go away somewhere and get a regular job and raise a family but there would always be a part of her that would be a fighter ace and street tough, that would set her apart from everyone else.

With Will pointing out that a fresh batch of green recruits would be on their way soon to replenish their ranks, Harry would quietly groan "Don't remind me, I already feel like an old lady, you know the LC made me a flight leader today right? Gave me Kat and that nugget Higgins to take charge of" she said before turning to watch the nugget in question collapse into a drunken heap "...you see what I have to deal with? I honestly can't think of anything scarier that trying to lead a flight of FNG's into battle and at this rate that's going to happen" she said trying to figure out at what point she'd become a veteran, with it seeming like only yesterday that she was stepping off the shuttle, freshly transferred from Etna and eager to see her first combat mission.

Looking out on the dance floor she would take a moment to watch Lizzy dancing with her new girlfriend, the pair of them looking to be completely smitten with one another, before turning to chuckle at Will's musings on the subject of pie "well if you're feeling guilty I'm happy to split one with you" she suggested with a smile.

Sadly, just as she feared it would, learning that her father was involved with Ge-Fi and the suicide attack that had crippled the Harvester had upset her deeply. With Izzy suspecting that despite all her talk of wanting to kill him and him being a traitor that there was still some part of Lizzy that just wanted her father to be the man she'd always thought he was and the fact that he wasn't was hurting her deeply "I'm so sorry Lizzy I didn't mean to upset you, I just thought you should know before it was broadcast across the entire galaxy" she softly said as Lizzy wrapped her arms around her in a hug with Izzy doing her best to comfort her. It was then that she kissed her.

As Lizzy's lips met her own, Izzy would feel a surge of what she could only describe as electricity coursing through her body and taking her breath away in a way that she'd only believed possible in cheesy romance novels. Standing before her in a dazed state, Izzy would gently place her fingertips against her still tingling lips as Lizzy started apologising for kissing her in such a way in public "That's ok...I rather liked it" she replied in an absent voice as she struggled to get her mind to function properly, though there was only really one thing on her mind "would you mind if we went back to your quarters now?"

 Lizzy smiled at Izzy but with a sad look on her face, Lizzy was happy Izzy told her but why couldn't he just been the Father she grew up to idolize, taught her about planes and flying, been there when she was sick, she just wanted her Father back. The man that was out there now was not her Father anymore the Father she loved died awhile ago. Lizzy would always love her Mother and finding out what she truly did, what a hero she was and all the crew of the Neutron. " Thank you Izzy for telling me, but the Father I loved died awhile ago, that man is not my Father anymore."

 Lizzy was trying to hold it together, then she hugged and kissed Izzy, the kiss was amazing Lizzy put a lot into it, her love for Izzy, her love for her Mom, her love for Haley, and her love for Harry into one kiss for Izzy. This was no ordinary kiss that is for sure. When Izzy Stopped her from saying anymore Lizzy was very happy and when Izzy said she rather liked it Lizzy was all smiles.

 Lizzy didn't have to be asked twice that kiss got her juices flowing for sure. Lizzy took Izzy's hand and said," That sounds great to me Izzy, love to show you my place and my toy box." Lizzy actually smiles as she walks back to the table. She smiles at everyone and then says," Harry we are going back to my place, have a great night." She turns to Melia," Have a great night, if you need to talk I will answer as soon as I can okay ." She smiles at her. Then she looks at Will and says," Have a great night Will."

 Lizzy held Izzy's hand tight as she waited for her to say goodnight, as she waited Lizzy leaned in and whispered to Harry, " I hope you got those earplugs going to my place and my toys, she is so amazing Harry."

Roy looked over at Larry.  "Relax...nobody's stealing your status here.  Nivarians don't raise their largs to behave the way we let you behave.  It's your ship, he's a guest.  Don't get pissy until he tries to cross you.  When that happens, knock him on his ass, until he straightens up.  You're smarter than any of the Nivarian largs I've seen, use that."

He looked at Rivets.  "Well, we'll deal with them as they come.  Some will be good, some won't."  He glanced at Shadow and chuckled.  "We get our share of those who think they know better than we do how it's done...it's just easier for us to beat that out of them without sending them to Medical.  We throw 'em in the tunnels to do Melia's training course for a few days.  By the time they stop puking from exhaustion, they're usually pretty aware of the fact that they don't know jack shit about being on the front line."

He turned to Beth.  "Before I forget...we've got a few things we recovered from Dixie's cabin that I'd like you to go over...might even have a challenge for Lilly, depending on what everyone else's cryptography skills are like."

Mila went over to Larry and nudged him with her nose. Never mind other largs, you are MINE! She curled up beside him. Her Human seemed quite fixated on his mate and probably wouldn't miss her anyway.

Once she was finished Izzy would offer Harry and Will a smile as she spoke to them "Thank you for letting me sit with you guys, I know I'm not exactly popular so it's really appreciated" she said, sincerely grateful towards the pair for the invite even if Will had chosen not to speak to her all evening "Well have a good night and I guess I'll see the three of you sometime tomorrow then?" she said before allowing herself to be lead towards the elevators by Lizzy. Her new girlfriend seemingly as eager to get to the privacy of her quarters as she was.

Roy reached out and settled a hand on Larry's head, almost like he was granting a benediction of some sort.  "I'm not saying Larry has to play meek and mild with the new larg.  I'm just saying he better not be the one starting any trouble."  He looked squarely at Larry and added, "You've got a rank and are technically under my command, which means if you become a problem, I'm the one that has to deal with it.  If there's going to be trouble, you make damn sure the other larg starts it...if that happens, then finish it however you want."

He gave Larry a thump and then grinned, and added, "Besides, we all seem to be assuming it's going to be another male larg.  Could be a female, with a thing for smaller, faster, smarter largs."

He looked around the table.  "I'm guessing this Nivarian is going to be a little bit of a black sheep...most of the larg handlers we've ever met have been part of a unit, operating only on Nivarian ships.  Sounds like this one may have been bucking the standard, maybe looking at the way Larry was more successful and more autonomous than the way the Nivarians raised theirs and deciding there might be something to it.  So, let's not everybody decide they hate the Nivarian before we even meet."

He shrugged, and added, " If it turns out to be some upright prick who thinks Larry's broken, well...then we can remind them all what happened to the last asshole who wanted to 'fix' one of our crewmates."

  The Pie  came  along  with , whatever  drink  Harry had, ,  he  cut the  ...rather healthy slice..down the middle

Orria accepted Shade's offer to dance. She was getting better at dancing like an adult, but still liked to do silly things like other kids. While they danced she whistled and whirred and hummed at Shade telling him what she'd been up to and how things had gone from her perspective working with Beth.

Melia accepted Zob's offer to dance, and missed Lizzy and Izzy departing.

As they danced, Melia decided to take a plunge. "Um Zob... I've been wondering... well Orria asked me some things, and I realized I hadn't put much thought into it but... have you thought about well where things are going with us. Like where this relationship goes? If it's too much you don't have to answer."

She says quietly so only they can hear.

Hawkeye joined the table sliding into a seat, grabbing another drink this time a whiskey straight up.

After the "zzy's" had retired to their night of fun, Hawkeye suggests to Harry, Will and anyone else at the table. "Seems every time we land Shadow or Hack end up throwing some big party. Food, Drinks, everything covered. I get it they have the rep, and the creds to make it really happen. What's say we pool what we got and throw them a party. They're always having fun and showing us how much they appreciate us, but let's return the favor even this once."

"An apple pie would be lovely Sneak" Harry said with a friendly smile when she was asked what filling she'd like in the pie. With her then getting up to bid Lizzy a good night "I'll see you in the morning Lizzy love, have a nice night" she said, giving her friend a friendly hug and a kiss on the cheek before turning her attention to Izzy as she rather shyly thanked them for letting her sit with them "that's ok Izzy love, you go and enjoy yourself" she said with a knowing smile having heard Lizzy's whispered comment about earplugs.

With the pair of them heading for the lifts, Harry would wait until they were out of earshot before quietly saying to Will "you know it wouldn't hurt you to talk to her...you might find you like her" she said having noticed that he'd gone out of his way not to talk to her "you know, I spent a very long time on Etna with nobody talking to me and I can tell you it isn't a nice experience" she said before turning her attention to Cat as she suggested they do something nice for the Admiral and LC "I don't know, last time I tried buying a drink I was told that it's some kind of good luck thing for the LC, he might not take us paying for the party the way we'd want him to" she said in a dubious voice "Perhaps it would be better to have a bit of a whip round and organise something when we reach Uden or something?"

Zob had been enjoying the dance it was odd of him to be this bold but the mood suddenly shifted when she took the plunge to ask her question, "I never thought after a thousand plus years i could find another i cared about this much... it is my honest hope things continue to develop between us" It was as honest of answer as he could give her given how uncertain the future was but he wanted to keep the good thing they had going as long as he could, "It's difficult to find the right words to express how i feel but know i plan to stick by your side through thick and thin as long as you will have me"

"Oh so you're basing you're dislike of her on gossip, well that's ok then" Harry said with just a hint of sarcasm as she started on her half of the apple pie "...and just so you know if you'd hit on me whilst I was stationed on Etna I would have told you to fuck off in the nastiest way possible because everyone hates me and are out to get me, and don't go thinking the LC's a saint because he ain't" Harry said hoping that Will would realise that there was a very good chance that Izzy was simply dishing back what she was being dealt, which granted wouldn't win her any friends but was at least kind of understandable "all I know for sure baby, is that Lizzy really likes her and the less time I have to spend comforting her because everyone hates her girlfriend the better"

Mila wagged her tail politely when a steak was put in front of her and then ate it.
