 Meari went to her quarters showered and changed into her duty uniform and she had all her bladed weapons and her sidearms. (No bow or shotgun and no swords) Meari walkedonto the Rec Dec feeling better after recovering from what she tried to run. She saw many runners hear she saw Vaka sitting alone, she would walk over and say," Vaka do you mind if I join you, I also want to say thank you for you trying to help me during the run, and you did very good and you going again was impressive Vaka, you will do very well here." Meari smiled and would wait for Vaka's permission to sit.

Melia entered the Rec Dec with Zob and Orria, she was still sweated out but feeling a little better after a copious serving of gatorade. She plopped into a seat at Shadow's normal table. When one of the waitresses came over she ordered without looking at a menu, "Steak and eggs, make the steak rare.  Eggs scrambled with cheese, oh and a milkshake, and a coffee please, also a side of hashbrowns and some fresh fruit. Whatever you have is fine, I'm not too picky." Orria, glance at the menu before deciding, "French Toast and bacon with orange juice please. she says politely pulling out her vid board.

Once Zob had gotten a chance to decide and order his food she leaned back, "So I guess the first question we should decide is how big of a to-do do we want to make things?" She asked in reference to the wedding planning thought process.

“Well...if I get to go...you can be my plus one...unless you don't want to escort me.” She smiled as she finished eating, a satisfied look on her face. “I have not seen a Carrierstation as the Fleet comes in...I'll have to make it a point of checking it out."  There was a smirk on her lips as she thought about him all dressed up...really curious as to what he would look like...he was downright hot in his armor...

"For Breakfast?" she looked at Mitch a moment for his choice.  She smiled and shrugged, then pulled up her guitar.  In moments she began singing and playing, not to loudly.

" Meari takes a seat and orders steak and eggs, and the freshest juice they have, she will say," Umm I am not sure if you can but can you add more trace heavy elements in my food, I dont need it but it tastes better to me."  Meari was not sure if they got the reports on the dietary needs of Udenese females.

 Meari then looked at Vaka, " I am very glad you are enjoying being on the Hermes Vaka. You just keep doing what your doing and yo will be fine Vaka, your squad did not treat or use you to your best potential, trust me they will here on the Hermes." She smiled a real smile at Vaka, she was getting to really like Vaka, like Meari thought before warrior spirit, but a  kind soul.

Jug and the other Gava came to the rec dec.  They took their usual table and got their food.  As they ate they discussed about training.  Uvuvu pointed to the lone Occuli, Vaka.  Speaking to Jug to suggest perhaps working him into their training.  Jug thought about it but suggested eating first.

Roy raised his hands in a gesture of fending off the request.  "Don't look at me.  You're bucking a years-long trend of every reporter who came to the Hermes either trying to make their name by stirring up shit, or being a traitor.  Nothing I say is gonna change that.   You've gotta prove yourself and push out all the baggage your dumb-ass colleagues left behind.  If anyone tries to do it for you, it just makes things worse.  So if that's too much of a challenge for you, maybe you better find an easier ship...or stay on the carrier stations.  Politicians there seem to love reporters..."

The images of Arnie all dressed up was definitely appealing but her imagination was probably no match for the real deal. He was downright sexy in the armor he wore so this would be an interesting treat.

 Meari looked at Vaka and said sincerely," No Vaka no one ehre wants to get rid of you, I know for a fact we all want you to stick around till we win this war." Meari decided to do some small talk the humans called it, she wasnt sure if Vaka would understand but i guess they both would have to learn.

 Meari then asked," So Vaka what do you think of humans so far?"

Roy nodded.  "We need to be careful, though...while it's important that our largs get along and work well together, I don't want it to look like we're taking over their animals.  It's going to be a lot easier for them to sell our training practices if it's very clear that they are, still, the ones handling their largs...for what handling they need."

Roy shrugged and then turned as a server came around again.  He ordered a breakfast hash with everything...the size and variety would keep him fueled for a long while.

  As he ate Shadow  pointed to the other largs  with his  fork,..That is a Good  Point?... but  isn't that sorta  what we need to do?... The APF has  all but got in line behind us, changing some training... adopting  others?. I know the  Fighter wings  are starting to  flight in  'flights' and  have  adopted the 'wing man' thing..by watching our  Vids.

 ..Vids work good too, for differant reasons... The good pilots ,,show what to do..the ones  who get truned into stardust, show them what not  to do...

 Lizzy and Izzy came onto the Rec Dec, Lizzy looked around and saw Sam by herself. Izzy there is Sam she could stay, hey are you ok you gavent said a word since we left our quarters? Lizzy would head towards Sam and let Izzy say hi first Sam was her friend and Lizzy was very happy she had one.

Billie laughed at his display. "Okay Princess. I'm sure you'll look stunning when I pick you up in your curtains," she winked and finished off her orange juice. With a contented sigh, Billie placed a hand upon his thigh as they say, enjoying the company.

After her song just to help wake others up she put the guitar down.  Haley having eaten most of her breakfast was unleashed to go play, who immediately beelined to Roll.
After taking a sip of tea she laughed a bit at Arnies attempt at southern drama.  With a big grin she looked at him "Arnie...it goes like this"And begins body posturing like a southern belle using one hand to wave like a fan and demurely turning to the side and bats eyes, the whole shebang "Fiddle-de-de Ensign are you askin' littl' ol' me out to the ball?" she said in a more refined southern than her normal.  She rapidly batted her eyes again.  After a moment she then stopped and winked.   She looked over at Mitch and then in a rather bad Minnesota accent asked Mitch "Like... You wanna go to this big dance, donch'a know?" trying to keep it a bit nasally.

 Taking a  bit of some of the  food and sipping the coffee,..The  LC>  he gave me a Note to take to the SM... and the SM  had me guard that  Halfangel reporter.., we got to go  the while way into the city part..shooting people..getting shot at.. its more then i have ever got to do..because they always sent me away?..So..now i am here.. and   The SM got my Mother's locket back!

She laughed and shook her head before reaching up and tucking a stray strand of hair back behind her ear. Hanging out with Nikki and Mitch seemed rather fun and she could see why Shadow and Arnie continually warned her not to isolate herself. It was easy to be alone but with Arnie now in the picture and joining the football team and her friendship with Harry, she could see the benefit, especially when they had downtime and Arnie was working.

 Meari smiled and replied, Unhinged blonde pilot you must mean Ens Lynch, you escorted her back and now you are part of the Hermes. Have you talked to her,  does she know you are officially part of the Hermes crew?

 Meari could tell Vaka was happy to do his fair share and his old squad his own people held him down. Get use to doing more Vaka the SM will utilize you the best he can to get all he can from every trooper. Also Vaka don't feel bad if you asked to do something and you can't do it ok, just explain why you can't and everyone will listen, but i have a feeling Vaka you will be able to do whatever is required of you.  Meari will hold out her hand to shake his, This is a himan custom of shaking hands. Meari bopes she does it right.

"I'm trying to make the adjustment as smooth as possible.  I mean, the Cavet already gave orders that Nivarians should be following our lead on treating largs, and we've seen how slow that has been going.  If the perception becomes that we're training the largs and they're just along for the ride, Disna and Puskie are going to become pariahs...Nivarians have a lot of pride...it's one thing for them to adopt someone else's strategies, but it's another thing if it looks like we're taking their largs away from them."  He glanced over at the pair of Nivarians and added, "And I don't feel like they'll be able to give us their best if they start to feel like they're just advisors.  They've got to be retrained, while their largs are...I don't think it will be difficult to do, they seem pretty open to change...but they have to feel like they're involved for it to really work."

He shrugged.  "If they're just along for the ride, if they don't feel invested in what's happening, they may stop caring what happens.  And I don't want that.  They're good people...I just want to make sure we don't presume too much and make them feel like we think they've become superfluous."

With Billie asking her how she liked to decompress, after pointing out that her offer hadn’t been a challenge, Harry would sigh as she mentally replied to the question A couple of stiff drinks used to do the trick but they won’t let me do that anymore and picking fights isn’t a viable alternative
