After returning from the rec dec Izzy would set about making up the spare bed up for Haley, which up until this point had been used as an overflow for their rather extensive wardrobes whilst Lizzy kept the young girl entertained. Once the bed was ready they would get her ready for bed; getting her changed into her pyjamas and teeth cleaned, before reading her a story from the book Nikki had thoughtfully packed in Haley's bag.

Once Haley was safely tucked into her bed, Izzy would change into her own little pink pyjamas and pour her and Lizzy a measure of the black Burian liquor she'd bought. It was supposed to help you sleep thought she was dubious as to whether it really did...then again the pink aphrodisiac she'd bought had certainly worked a treat "It's going to be alright Liz, whatever life throws at us, we'll figure out together" Izzy whispered as they sat together in the darkness so as not to wake Haley. She would then raise her glass in toast and softly say "to the most beautiful girl in the Black" before taking a drink, after which the pair of them would go to bed.

Morning came around far sooner than Izzy would have liked as she awoke within Lizzy's arms; her fingers still twined within her fiery red hair from last night "Morning Liz, how are you feeling?" Izzy quietly asked before twisting her head to check that Haley was still asleep before continuing "would you like a shower together before we wake Haley up?" deciding that they had a little time before they would have to get Haley up and ready to return to Nikki and then attend the send off.

Awoken by the sound of Nic's alarm going off, Harry's usual plea for Ten more minutes was replaced by pained whimpering as she was greeted by a throbbing pain in her shoulder which was made worse by the fact that her arm had stiffened up in the night "Can you get me one of my pills please Nic? this really hurts" she asked, suspecting that she would struggle to open the bottle of pills with only one hand. After awkwardly pulling herself up into a sitting position she would dry swallow the pill in a practiced manner before speaking "would you like to use the shower first and I'll see if I can manage to put some coffee on?" she asked, praying that the pain medication she'd just taken would take effect soon.

Nic heard that sound and sat up to look over at Harry with concern. "Sure," he said and then slipped out of the bed and walked around to her side to pick up the bottle and open it. He made a face as she swallowed them like that. Not the best thing to do. "I don't doubt it does Luv," he said in response to her plaint about it hurting.

The question of using the shower was almost awkward at best when she asked and he shook his head slightly. "No matter what you think, you should go to the send off. I doubt you can shower on your own. Where's your dress uniform?" He had his own waiting, the Marines dress whites waiting in his go bag. That was hung up in the bathroom too and he eyed her a moment.

It was obvious he was going to nudge her out of her comfort zone but the woman had fought with people on the Dec, she should be there as he was sure others would be who had been injured. And from the look on his face, he wouldn't take no for an answer. She wanted his help, he was positive her showing up would help.

Nikki giggled "I remember that.  He deserved what he got." She finished getting ready "Personally I think being in a hover chair is bad luck.  seems that those in it get into trouble"

Once in her room, Billie kicked off her shoes and slipped out of her shorts, content to walk around in just her cheeky cut panties and her hermes shirt. "You can turn on something if you want..." she said, dimming the lights to where he would be able to see and that she could be comfortable without her contacts in. Having cleaned up and taken her contacts out, Billie finally settled into bed next to him, truly just wanting to cuddle up to him. Of course she wouldn't stop going further but she wasn't going to push it either.

She wasn't sure when she fell asleep but she slept hard until her alarm went off which more or less startled her awake. Grumbling, she climbed out of bed to shower before making sure Arnie was up. "Did you some breakfast?" she asked as she got dressed.

Haley skipped about with all the energy children her age always seemed to have  As they laid out sheets and a blanket, as well as a pillow Haley went to change to her jammies and her teddy bear.  Soon the bored and the weariness took over and she fell asleep.

Harry would awkwardly shift under Nic's gaze; knowing that he was right and that she should attend the send off with her even wanting to attend, but then again she really didn't want to go as well. However with it becoming abundantly clear that he wouldn't be backing down Harry would softly sigh in defeat before pointing at her wardrobe "it's hanging up in there in a plastic bag" she said before beginning to carefully slide out of bed.

Harry's navy dress uniform was still clean and neatly pressed from it's last outing along with the collection medals she'd gained during her time in the service, with another three waiting in the mail slot to be added though her Blue Max would be conspicuous in its absence "So is this your ploy to finally see me in the nude?" she asked with a brittle smile and a giggle that sounded just a little forced as she tried to hide how embarrassed she was feeling about being unable to properly shower and dress herself, with it also being really clear that this really wasn't how she wanted them seeing each other naked for the first time to go.

  Mitch got  them to the elevator the  Guards made sure the door stayed open.

  Billie and Arnie    came up as the doors   closed ... frans , Eclkes  and Mara   strutted   down the  passage  with   skirts rather then pants

 they  smiled  at  Billie  and   shifted thier  eyes to   Mitch , who  found spots  on the  dec to stare  at.

 Beth  was approaching as well carrying   her shoulder bag of Vid boards.

 The  doors  would  open and they would Pile in.

 Lizzy walked with Izzy and Haley to their quarters, once there Izzy went to make Haley a bed and get her comfortable, as Lizzy kept her busy, even had Haley feed their fish. Lizzy helped Haley get ready for bed if she needed it. Lizzy sat and happily read Haley a story and Izzy could tell Lizzy was enjoying this a lot, she was all smiles and really loved taken care of Haley.

 Then it was time to tuck Haley into bed, she gave her a kiss on the cheek and said good night to Haley. She was out cold rather quickly which was good it was a long day for everyone.

 Then Izzy opened and poured some Burian Black wine the stuff that was too help you sleep. Lizzy would put on her red nightie, she normally slept naked but with Haley there she would wear her nightie to bed. Lizzy smiled held Izzy and replied," Yes we will Izzy, I should have told you about the nightmares, but we will get through this together my love." They did their toast and Izzy called her the most beautiful woman in the black. Lizzy blushed and replied, " You are amazing Izzy and I think your a little biased." They drank their wine, Lizzy gave her a deep powerful kiss and they went to sleep in each others arms.

 Lizzy was awoken by Izzy's soft beautiful voice, Lizzy actually had a great night she slept soundly and no bad dreams, the wine really worked. Lizzy replied," I feel great, I slept wonderful and no bad dreams." Lizzy smiled and also looked over to check on Haley. When Izzy asked about taking a shower before Haley got up Lizzy smiled and replied," That sounds amazing, then we will wake Haley." Lizzy got out of bed headed for the kitchenette, " I will get the coffee going meet you in the shower." Lizzy got coffee going and still looked at the sleeping Haley and wished she could stay longer, Lizzy really enjoyed being with Haley. Lizzy then joined Izzy in the shower.

 Sam woke up and once Beth was done with the shower she took a shower and then got into her dress uniform which she had sent over during the night from the Vengeance. Once she was ready and added her new medals, she helped Beth get everything and then went to the Hanger Dec with Beth.

Nic hesitated a moment and shook his head. "No, but you need help and I hope you trust me to help you." And idly he wondered if that stuff they used to seal up the wounds was water proof. And he would do that even as embarrassing as it was for her. He still treated her like a person and not a object as he helped her shower and then get dressed, doing as she directed. It took obviously a little longer to get her cleaned up and then himself, but they made it through with as little embarrassment as possible.

Helping her dress was infinitely more embarrassing to him than anything else but he was a good guy about it and didn't stare, too much. And he could rush to get dressed. Which he did. His cover was set on the counter while he made sure everything was settled right on Harry's uniform before smiling at her. "There. Not too bad, right?" He wasn't going to tease her about this.

”It could have been worse” Harry quietly admitted as she adjusted her collar in the mirror, with one arm already safely within its sling. The whole thing had been rather embarrassing and awkward for the both of them as they had tried not to look at certain things or comment on them. When it came to getting dressed Harry had insisted on putting her knickers, socks  and trousers on herself without any assistance from Nic out pure pigheadedness and pride with her only allowing him to help when it came to put on her uniform blouse and dress jacket with her not even attempting to put a bra on as the strap would go straight across her injury, not that anyone would notice under the thick jacket, not to mention the fact that in her own words they’re hardly noticeable as it is!.

After brushing her ash blonde hair, something else she could do by herself, Harry would place her soft cover on before turning to Nic “Ok, I’m ready to go when you are…also…um…can I stand with you? And…um…thank you”

Nic gave a brief smile at her words and tugged on his white jacket. "Well don't we look spiffy." He grabed his cover and tucked it under his arm before watching her adjust things and then brush her hair. Her question had him nodding. "Of course you can. I don't think there's any regs against that." He doffed his wide brimmed cover and then offered his arm to her. They walked out and headed for the Hanger dec to watch the send off. [/flex]

Despite them both being very aware of the young girl sleeping in the next room the shower would prove very enjoyable if not quite up to their usual standards as they were trying to be quiet. Once they had both dried off and were at least partially changed into their dress uniforms, with Izzy taking the rare opportunity to wear a skirt and heels, they would gently rouse Haley from her sleep and help get her ready with Izzy cooking up a quick batch of pancakes to go with the extremely black coffee for their breakfast.

Once they had finished eating the three of them would depart, stopping long enough at Nikki’s quarters to drop off Haley’s bag before heading down to the hangar dec for the send off, with Izzy figuring that they would have plenty of time to talk properly once the ceremony was done.

 The shower was fun and enjoyable but Lizzy was worried about Haley in the other room. Once they where done showering and dried off they both got dressed. They then gently got Haley up it was a long day and she needed her rest but it was time to say good bye to their fallen comrades. They had quick pancakes they would eat after send off, but the black coffee is what she needed.

 Once they where are done Lizzy would let Haley say hi and check on their fish.  They then headed out for the Hanger Dec, they stopped at Nikki's put Haley's bag back and then headed to the lifts. Lizzy says to the Guards," Hi thank you for what you do guys." Lizzy then took Haley's hand and headed for the Hanger Dec  and Send Off.

Nikki got to her quarters and set an alarm for 2 hours and placed the tea carafe and other things on the coffee table.  With some careful moves she managed to get out of the chair to the couch.  she grabbed her throw blanket and then remotely turn her lights low.  Her bad leg was elevated on the couch arm her head on the other arm.  Then she began to adjust a bit then tried to get a bit more sleep.

”Hey they’re my tits I’m allowed to say that there’s not a lot there!…it’s your job to compliment them and tell me I’m pretty, remember?” Harry replied with a mischievous grin as the lift doors closed behind them ”besides there isn’t a lot here, I mean look at them! I’m walking around without a bra and you can barely tell, especially with this jacket on” she pouted, waving her good hand around her chest before leaning back against the wall with a weary sigh. Although she hadn’t been up all that long she was starting to feel decidedly drained and under the weather, and from what little she could recall from the bathroom mirror, decidedly pale…well…paler than normal. It wasn’t the first time she’d wondered if Hack had inadvertently created a new sub-species of deep space human with pale skin and a physiology more suited for the low gravity and oxygen environments in which they lived, not to mention an entirely different culture to their cousins on Earth.

When the lift doors opened Harry would slip an arm around Nic, leaning on him perhaps a little more than before, and head towards her quarters ”Do you want to get a change of clothes or anything from your place?” She asked suspecting he’d want to get out of his dress uniform as well.

He laughed at her response, having entirely expected her to say something along those lines and he shot a grin at her as they walked to the lift and entered. "Ah, is that what we guys are supose to do now?" He chuckled and glanced to the side at her before smirking. "Means less for me to take off of you," he quipped with a larger grin and reached out to brush his thumb over her chin.

Having her arm curl around him had him doing the same back. He could tell she was using him a bit more than normal and he knew she wouldn't unless she needed to. "I thought ahead," he said with a shake of his head. "Brought a change for after. And I figured with you hurt, you could use the company and help. Glad you didn't yell at me for the shared shower. I was nervous enough suggesting it."

Unsurprisingly his comment about having less to take off of her had earned him a playful punch on the shoulder, though it was clear that she was by no means upset with him for teasing her about it as she had become used to the fact that teasing her seemed to be a favourite pastime of his.

With Nic having already packed a change of clothes in his bag from last night, Harry would open the door to her quarters and go inside as Nic confessed that he had been worried that he had upset her over him helping her in the shower "I won't lie, I did find the whole thing to be pretty embarrassing...but you were right, I wouldn't have managed on my own, or at least not in time to make the send off" she sighed, if only to let him know that she wasn't angry with him. Besides which she had told him she liked a man with a firm hand "with that in mind care to help a girl change into something a little comfier, I'll even let you look this time if you want to?" she asked with a smirk as she walked into the bedroom.

He only laughed at the playful punch she gave him, his arm squeezing lightly around her before he let her go so she could enter her quarters. He followed her in and ducked his head slightly at what she said. "I'm sorry, Harry." He moved over to slip his arms around her and hug her.

Her words brought out a chuckle from him and Nic kissed her forehead. "Sure. I can help." He followed her into her bedroom after setting his cover down on the counter and unbuttoning his jacket and hanging it back up. "I can't stand the uniforms because I am afraid I am going to accidentally rub up against something and its going to show."

"Here, let me help you out of that shirt," he said, a hint of a laugh in his voice as he moved over to stand in front of her. His eyes never left hers as he started to unbutton her shirt and then carefully ease it down her shoulders. "Are you making me practice or something." There it was, another tease he had been holding back on.

Harry was very obviously relieved to be out of the heavy and stiflingly hot dress jacket, which no doubt didn’t help improve how she was feeling, with Nic then proceeding unbutton her blouse which she was also perfectly happy for him to do. She would look up into his grey eyes with her pale blue ones as he carefully undid the buttons before gently sliding the blouse over her shoulders and onto the floor, with her chuckling softly at his comment ”hmm something like that” she murmured stepping forward to put her arm around him in an embrace seemingly unconcerned that she was currently topless and consequently pressing a pair of small round breasts against him as she did so with her loving the fact that he was so much taller than her so that she could rest her head against his chest. Wearing only her shiny dress boots and neatly pressed white dress trousers Harry imagined she must look quite a sight and that if she were to put her soft cover back on she would look like one of the pinups used on the recruitment posters! With this thought at the forefront of her mind Harry would find herself having a sudden fit of the giggles.

  The  sounds  of " officer on dec!"   came  down the passage way   followed  by the Musical Voice  saying 'At Ease"

   Captain, Ma'am?  are you Looking  for the LC?

  Yes  trooper  Stiffy?..  is he  on this  Dec?

 Stiffy shook his  head, Max  Spoke up,..he went  for a  Run, Ma'am. and had the LArgs  with him...

 She turned  around,Thank you, I will try  the Hanger Dec  or  the rec dec...

 she   stepped  back into  the  elevator  after  giving the men a nod  and smile.

 After the  elevator was gone, Max  said,..There's a whole fleet of them, coming over....

 Stiffy shook his head,Not Like that

Nic gave her a wry smile to the answer she gave to his teasing. A chuckled followed as she curled her arms around him, hands coming to rest against her lower back as she snuggled up to him, it seemed.  The giggling fit had him resting his head on top of hers as he smiled. "And what are you giggling at now, hmm?" He did not pretend to know what went on in her mind, he was no mind reader but he guessed she had thought of something that was amusing enough to her.

It was a reminder of where he was that the ringing words he heard muffled by the metallic walls had him jerking his head up and then sighing softly. He rubbed his hands up and down Harry's back before stepping away to find a top for her to put on. Nic offered one up for her, one of his. "Want this one on?"

It would take a couple of minutes to get herself back under control, with Nic obviously curious as to the cause of her sudden fit of giggling ”sorry, it was just a silly thought, it was nothing you did honest” she replied as her giggling slowly subsided, with her enjoying the feel of his hands moving along the bare skin of her back. Had she not been feeling so rubbish and certain that the entire experience would prove rather painful no matter how gentle he was Harry would have been tempted to take advantage of the situation but as it was she just felt lousy and wanted a nap and a cuddle.

As Nic stepped back, Harry would watch as he opened her chest of drawers held up a top for her approval ”yes please” she replied, stepping towards him so that he could help her pull on a black T-shirt with a radio tower and the word Pearl Jam in faded white print. Once she was wearing the baggy tour shirt, she would sit on the edge of the bed and awkwardly remove her boots and dress trousers, reluctantly accepting any assistance that Nic wished to provide her with before crawling under the covers ”huh…looks like we have a wedding to attend” Harry said in a weary voice as she checked her messages. She wasn’t sure if she would be up to attending the service but she would like to at least make an appearance and congratulate the happy couple, especially seeing as Doc Henry had gone out of his way to see if she was alright.

Setting an alarm on her comms to go off prior to the wedding so that she could attend, Harry would hold her arms out towards in a clear signal as to what she was after ”Come join me please?” she quietly asked.

It was close to 3 (or rather 1500 hours) when her alarm went off.  she silenced it quickly and tried moving normally to get up from the couch.  Her arm was sore but useable.  Her leg still wanted to commit mutiny against the rest of her body.  She carefully cursed under her breath and righted herself to get in the chair.  She did get in and managed to get into the bathroom and manage things.  Back out she felt better actually.  about then there was Doc Christies announcement.  Cool" she said to noone in the room.
