Certainly, if I didn't I'd have a difficult time hereabouts. he replied indicating aboard the 351. Sounds like you know quite a bit about firearms; you'd be able to give me some pointers. I use these 34 round Glock MP's they help cover any accuracy shortcoming with fire-power.

They arrived at their door and Nikki let them in.  Crap everywhere for the moment, so about normal.  She got them both cleaned up and ready for bed.  "I asked Sneak to watch you for a bit tomorrow.  I have to go play war games.  but then we get some time off to play in the trees and such again.  so I am thinking you might like to wear shorts again...maybe say hi to that toad looking critter you found last time...maybe he is bigger now?"
Haley almost forgot the creature she found in the murky pond on Bura. "Be cool to see how big he is" she grinned then yawned from her busy day "Can Ah have a story?  Stony and the slippery pig?" she asked.
"Of course..." she tucked Haley in, the sheet warm over her fresh pj's she wore.  Leaning on Haleys bunk she quietly began as lights dimmed in the bedroom "Once upon a time, out in the countryside there was farm.  There, there was a red farmhouse and barn with a farmer and his wife.  they had and took care of many animals and crops.  It was quiet and peaceful.  watched over by the farmers faithful dog and the dog's best friend a small but trusty pony named Stony..."

Returning to his cabin Justin completed any regular duties, reviewed Corporate data, brief and progress reports. After all tasks were completed he sent the Doc a Hi to see if she was interested in doing anything before they reached Bura.

It seemed everyone was getting ready to go already. It was too bad about Nikki's arm, but hopefully she would still be able to participate in everything. Madison had never been to Bura before the run, but she felt like the city would be even more amazing than the wilderness.

When she stepped out of the lift she greeted the guards, but didn't slow down. Lizzy didn't answer her question about how long they would be down on shore leave, which meant Madison would probably agonize on what and how much to bring.

To Maddy's Quarters

Stepping off the lifts, Billie headed to her room, punching in the code at the door and heading inside. She took the time to carefully clean her gear and put her armor away while leaving the rest inside her survival kit. She planned on putting that back into her bird when she was done here. With that done, she chugged a bottle of water before going in to take a shower.

Once Alison became aware the field crew was returning to the Hermes, she smiled in satisfaction.    At last, it was time to see Bura firsthand!

She did love her career;  it was the sole thing in her life she'd ever come close to enslaving herself to.    To the degree that, on routine days off, she never entirely stopped thinking about it.   But, there were always those excursions; the kind she immersed herself in so fully that the job was banished from her attention for their duration.   This would be one of those...

Having prepared, she regarded herself one last time in the mirror:

Her hair, freshly cleansed, was done in a wrapped, side ponytail.  Makeup much like she did when she went out. She never wore too much, but did her trick with the eyeshadow, that made her grey eyes stand out. Smoking out the outer corner with darker shadow, and adding light silver on the upper lids and inner corners.

She had clad in a white silk blouse, with designer jeans, tucked into a pair of knee high leather boots.   Tossing her cropped leather jacket over top the outfit, if the temperature did call for it.

And she had packed various options, in the name of not being caught unprepared. Among them the black, one-shoulder midi dress she liked to dance in, and the strappy, salsa heels that often accompanied it.  Everything from formal wear, to a woven-straw cowgirl hat, with an eye catching hat band.

Of course, lingerie; especially, her favorite sets bought from Cassiopeia's Closet, in that last apparel order before heading out to the Hermes.

Naturally, her sidearm was going with her, as a matter of safety.  But also because she hoped to find somewhere appropriate to do a little target practice.

All finished and wrapped up, she was about to send to Justin via her Com:   Hey hon, I am all set for shore leave, whenever you're ready to go!   

But noted Justin's status declared he was still planetside, and there wasn't a return time scheduled, as yet.   She bit her lip, in a degree of worry, checking for the last update...

 Sam came onto the Officer Dec, she smiled at the guards and then headed for her VIP quarters. Once in her very nice quarters, she relaxed a bit, took a shower then got on her flower Burian dress, and packed a small bag, with a fancy, dress, street clothes, bathing suit. She did have her apartment/quarters on Bura as well, she would have to go check in as well with Commodore McKeon. Sam would spend today and tonight with her Izzy. Lizzy and their friends and tomorrow she would have to go to work for Bura for a bit and go check in.

 Once Sam was all set for shore leave, she smiled at herself, now knowing she was Part Burian Moon Angel did make her smile, and now she could see Angel traits in her facial features but why couldn't she have gotten their height she wondered. Sam then headed out of her quarters back to the Hanger Dec to meet Izzy, Lizzy and anyone else who can show up.

As they rode the lift up to the officers dec, Izzy would take a moment to check through her messages on her comms unit to see if she had missed anything whilst on Bura. As usual most were either work based or rubbish that had made it through the filter, although one did make her giggle ”oh wow…babe my mom wants your phone number just in case you ever need someone to talk to…I told you, mom’s going to adopt you and if we weren’t getting married we’d be sisters!” she giggled as the doors opened and they stepped out into the corridor.

After arriving at their quarters Izzy would unload and store her carbine in her locker before beginning to remove her armour ”you’d best get the shower running babe, I’ll join you once you’ve got the worst off” Izzy said as she eyed the greenish brown stains on Lizzy’s clothes, hair and skin. Once she was out of her armour and had neatly stored it away in her locker, Izzy would peel off her decidedly cleaner envirosuit before removing her underwear and walking into the bathroom to grab a quick shower and anything else that came to hand.

 Lizzy giggled and replied." I think I would rather be married than sisters, but your mom is awesome, and you can give her my number."

 They got into the room Lizzy wiggled and peeled her enviro suit off and then took off her stained bra and panties and put them in the to clean bin. Lizzy then got the shower going and scrubbed hard and cleaned up as best as she could by the time Izzy joined her. They cleaned up had a little fun, but people were waiting for them for shore leave so Lizzy made it awesome but short.

 Once Lizzy was finally clean, she got out, and then helped Izzy get out of the shower. Lizzy then went into the bedroom and put on red lace bra and panties her Burian set, then jeans and a Hermes t-shirt. Lizzy then says," Ok what else should I pack?"

”Well…we’ve got a day and a bit I think so I’d say a party dress and heels, something casual for walking around town, maybe a bathing suit, underwear and toiletries” Izzy replied as she stood in front of the wardrobe wearing only a pair of lacy black panties and bra as she tried to decide what to wear, pulling out a short red dress and matching heels, with her red leather ankle boots already sitting by the bed ”are we going straight out Liz or are we planning on walking around first and getting changed later?” she asked, with the answer very much determining whether she changed straight into the dress or found something a little more casual.

Haley could handle the weight of her empty ammo belt, but not getting tangled up in it was another thing.  still, finally getting in their quarters they relaxed a moment.  Slowly Nikki put gear away and helped Haley get ready with one hand only to work with.  She used the waterproof arm guard and showered quickly, getting dirt, sweat, and ick off her.  she cleaned just a bit and brushed her hair (with Haleys help).  She decided no bun or ponytail, just loose and wild. They both were dressed in off duty clothes; Nikki wore Jeans and a green and white 'Hermes 351' shirt that had a wing foot on the back.  Haley had a white t-shirt with a comical looking Dra-Dra on it (It's butt overly large to comical effect and a smile as it ate what looked to be a buttercup) and a pair of green capri pants with 'Hermes 351' up one leg and a wing foot on a back pocket, plus her backpack.  so at least each had a Hermes marker.  Of course, Nikki had her obligatory weapons required and basics of comm and money plus a fanny pack with the few meds they gave her and a durafoam, couple of wet napkins and extra socks for both of them and small toolkit.
Nikki called Caseys parents to see if they would allow her to go.  Found out they were already there.  Haley clapped, she might see her friend there.  Her parents wanted to see exhibits and possibly trade some seeds and stock plus shop.  In a bit they were headed out to the Hangar and going to catch the shuttle for shore leave.  in the hall Nikki called to see if Mitch would like and/or could join them.

 Lizzy thought for a second and then replied," Ok that sounds good." Lizzy finished packing and still had on her tight Hermes T-shirt and tight jeans that might have been painted on. Lizzy then added," I think let's go casual now maybe hook up with Nikki and the other girls go to carnival for a bit and then change for dinner drinks and dancing how does that sound my love?"

”Sure we can do that” Izzy replied, carefully folding the little red dress and placing it within a day bag along with the high heels. After searching through the wardrobe she would change into a plaid skirt, white blouse and a brown suede jacket, along with her ankle boots to give her that much needed boost in height. She would then add a few light touches of makeup before she finished packing her bag ”are you ready to go babe? We don’t want to miss the shuttle down” she asked giving Lizzy’s skin tight jeans an admiring look as she slung her bag over her shoulder in preparation to leave.

 Lizzy smiled and replied," Yes I am all set, lets get going, let me text Madison hold on."

 Lizzy got out her comms and sent Madison a Text message: " Madison Izzy and I are heading to the Hanger Dec now see you there. We going casual first to a carnival then drinking and dancing, we will be staying in Bura tonight and all day tomorrow ok see you soon, Lizzy \o/."

 Lizzy then checked the fish and fed them and then grabbed her stuff and headed out of their quarters to the hanger dec for shore leave.

Izzy would wait for Lizzy to finish sending Madison a message and quickly feeding their fish before taking her hand and heading out the door and towards the hangar dec.

After supplying her officer's credentials, Alison accessed the COM database, and read the following missive from Capt. Si:

She lowered her face into her hands, murmuring "Oh f--k,", now knowing what had delayed Justin, and filled with worry over it.

She clenched a fist, pounded it lightly on the desk, then folded her arms about herself, biting her lip, thinking...

Why not head down to Bura?  I'll be closer to him that way.  It'll feel better!  I can leave him a COM, let him know I'll be waiting for him, once he's out of that situation...     He would make it out...surely...

Grabbing her purse and suitcase, she departed her room, and headed out to the Dec.

The ride up to officer country was rather cramped, with Izzy smiling apologetically to the other crew members as she carried her pegasus out of the lift and down the corridor to their quarters at which point Lizzy would have to open the door for her. Once inside she would deposit Peggy into the main living area before walking into the bedroom and shrugging out of her jacket and shoulder  holster, and placing her bag on the floor to be unpacked later. She would then locate her comms unit and find a pair of messages from Sam waiting for her; the first being the footage of her proposal to Lizzy, followed by another telling her that Sam had been made an ambassador ”hey Liz, it looks like Sam got a promotion…well…I think it’s a promotion? They made her an ambassador anyway” she called across to Lizzy as she pulled off her boots and flopped onto the bed wearing her short skirt and tight fitting Babymetal T-shirt ”I think I need some shore leave to recover from shore leave!” she called whilst sending a message congratulating Sam on her new position.

Shortly after the parting kiss with Justin, Alison was unpacking in her quarters.   Prior to starting, she'd gone to the holo-disc adorning her nightstand, connected her Com, and downloaded several images she'd taken on Bura.

She flicked through those, until reaching one of her and Justin she particularly liked; a selfie, with the two of them close together, outside the hut where they'd bought the cocoa,  grinning like children.   She set it as the disc's new default image, before commencing the unpacking in earnest.

Naturally, she returned with more than she'd left with.   But all worthy acquisitions; it wasn't in her nature to buy things she didn't truly want to keep. After the unpacking was mostly done, she instructed her vidboard:

"Route primary patient schedule and priority messages to wall screen."   

The panel display glowed, blinking to life, showing her the requested data.  And she began to review, while taking in hand a bottle of mineral water, and having a sip...

 Lizzy giggled at how crowded the lift was with their two stuffies taking up most of the room. They got to their quarters Lizzy opened the door and they went in, Lizzy placed Mindy the Monkey next to Peggy. Lizzy started putting everything away including her new fuck me red leather boots.

 Lizzy got undressed and the dressed in a clean duty uniform, she used her new holster for her sidearm as well. Lizzy took this time to check on their fish and feed them.

 Then Izzy checked her coms and said Sam was promated," What they made her the Ambassador to Bura wow that is amazing , see Izzy you dont have to he a combat hero to get rewarded, I know you will do great. Have you talked to the SM about your drone program yet?" Lizzy used this awesome news to try and get Izzy even more motivated to do her part in the war.

 " So what do you want to do now Izzy?"

Justin's previous unsuccessful face to face attempts, to be chosen for Reconnaissance Flights; thought an on-line attempt a suitable variation.

Lying on her front on the bed with her legs gently kicking in the air as she scrolled through her comms unit, Izzy would wince at the mention of drones with her having done nothing about it with Tali not having come out of the box at the back of her locker since the survival run ”The SM’s a busy man Liz and my mind has kind of been on other things” Izzy replied having found that Roy could be a hard man to pin down with him being involved in so many different activities aboard the ship. That and Izzy was still unconvinced that the idea was worth the trouble it was liable to cause her.

The question of what to do now however was a far easier one with her gratefully seizing upon the topic ”well…it’s getting kind of late but Sam’s invited us for a drink on the rec dec if you wanted to go” she offered having received a message from Sam mere moments ago.

Sam then went to her now Ambassador Quarters.  Sam entered and began to put everything away including the stuffy she won. Sam was still mind blown over what just happened, once everything was put away, she made sure her duty uniform was correct with the Ambassador pin she put on her new holster. Sam then double checked any comms and checked her computer as she put the Burian Ambassador letter in her room safe. Basically, with all the tricks she put into that code probably only one person could crack it would be Beth.

 Sam then decided to head to the Rec Dec to see if Izzy and Lizzy would show up and also find Madison and Howe to tell them about her Promotion. Sam then left her quarters, smiled again at the guards and headed for the Rec Dec.

" Yes a little late but not too bad, and yes we need to celebrate with Sam that is huge her being chosen as the Burian Ambassador that is amazing." Lizzy was excited and happy for Sam, and hoped Sam would help Izzy as well.

 Lizzy then said when she was ready to go," You all set my love and plus I need to show off this gorgeous ring."

With Lizzy more than happy to celebrate Sam’s promotion Izzy would send her friend a quick message saying to save them a seat before rolling off of the bed ”ok, I told her we’re coming, let me put my boots back on” she said as she retrieved her ankle boots, shoulder holster and jacket from where she had left them on put them back on before then saying ”right, I’m ready, let’s go and show your ring off”
