When the doors opened he stepped out onto the dec and made his way straight over to where the guard was watching the cage, "Sgt Shoemaker sent me he wants me to take a look at the creature" he was only half paying attention to the guard his primary focus on the creature in the cage.

   The   three guards  were leaving  the hanger dec  as   Will   came on to take his  shift.

 So-Ln,  CPL Lewis  and  Simms met  Zob and Waved to Will. Simm pointrf  down the painted 'walk only ' path that lead past the  mechs  and such to the  corner  where the QM  was and the line of shuttles.

 a Loney lookign QM clerk was sitting on a stool near a 2 foot long, 2foot  wide.. 3  foot  high  , metaglass container.

 ..Down that way, Sarge.. weird  little  creature.... looks like it  is sorta mean...

 Will decided to follow  along   to see the wee beastie.

Zob took a few careful steps towards the cage until he saw the beast clearly with his own eyes he needed to be very careful as he attempted to apply the ancient techniques he learned from childhood, he then tried to speak in a language it could understand Pirloqs were very intelligent and complex creatures, "moxt ir si mi ti tenpiswo ekess levnim wux" (Little one i am not here to harm you) he said in a gentle tone as he placed his hand on the cage.

 Meari came onto the Hanger Dec right before Will and headed over to him, where Zob was looking at something in a box. Meari says to Will, " Sgt Call I asked to be assigned with you, I just wish to help the man who saved my life is a honor Sgt. Call."  Meari had her normal weapons plus her shotgun and a Pulse rifle she got from SEC.

  Will chuckled,well?  you either  drew  good  duty and boring  duty?..  not many folks  on the Hanger  dec this time  of day, some pilots    messing with thier machines.. the  Officer of  the Dec..... Scarlett let  wanted to  switch with me, but i think she did it so   i could spend  time  with Cora and Ellen.

  He watched    Zob  with the little creature....Hey?  Zob?  we have to make our  rounds, call if you need anything.

 The Pirloc landed on   the metal 'branch' that was  set  in the   cage... there was a  nest, of sorts in the back. It    looked at him   spreading it s   wings  and trying to puff itself up.

Zob glanced back to Will for a moment, "Go do your thing Will" he then reverted his attention back to the cage he then got on the coms, "Can i get a small bucket with meat scraps in it brought down to the Hanger dec?" he asked calling up to the Rec Dec.

 the COM  call was acknowledged.....in about  10 Minutes a Civie  kid with a  bloody apron was   sunning  down  with a 'lunchpail' of  meat cuttings"

 Will walked   with Meari  past the shuttles   , checking everything  out.making sure   that  crates were secured and such as they walked towards  the  Shuttle  bay opening.

 You know?.. You don't owe me anything , right?... I mean..  I went to tackle the  guy  and   tripped..if i don't  trip? no one even knows he shot the damn thing...

Zob fished into his pocket and handed the kid some credits and took the meat bucket from him, "moxt ir si mi ti tenpiswo ekess levnim wux" (Here eat you will need your strength) he said to the creature as he placed the meat into the cage through a small hatch.

  The creature    twisted it   head about,  then  hopped off the  perch,  it  got  a piece of the  meat and began to   gobble it like a bird  with a  worm.

  The   QM person watched...ain't that the thing that almost got a   Buncha  giys  killed on PG..i mean..Woth?

Zob watched the creature eat as he spoke to the QM person, "That was an adult and there is only a few elders in existence, i had the pleasure of meeting one of them face to face when i was a youngling they are very smart creatures, some of them even capable of speaking a common tongue"

He then watched the creature devour the meat slice, "When in danger it can be a terrifying force of nature, this creature should be put in Doc Henry's zoo im very curious where this family even found this creature"

 The  QM    guy looked at the creature...well?..it has to stay here   Until Doc henry..and I guess you  decide   if its  safe  enough.  The guy in charge of   the Civie  section, Smithson?.. he's the one that made the family bring the  thing  up here...

 The   little  beastie  was  movign  his head  around    squawking at bit  as he looked at Zob.

Zob handed another piece of meat to the the young pirloc, "Well if he gets appropriate training he wont be a threat to anyone but his enemies, the family can't have the beast returned to them but that is obvious"   

 The QM  clerk nodded,..you still gotta  talk to Doc  Herny, or we have to jettison it?

 The  beastie  gobbled the   meat  a  again and  danced a bit and   spread his wings.

Zob nodded, "Good of time as any i suppose" he then brought up his com and and shot Doc Henry a call.

In reply to hanger Dec (msg # 965):

 Meari smiled at Will, and replied," I think it is good duty Will." Then Will told Zob they where going to do their rounds, Meari walked with Will checking the crates and also looking for anything out of the ordinary.

 When Will said she didnt owe him anything, she smiled and replied," Well Will how about I owe you to be your friend and would be honored to fight by your side in any battle, is that acceptable Will." She smiled as they kept walking doing their rounds.

  Will chuckled a  Bit,..well? can't have too many friends. I found that  out the hard way!.... Just don't go jumping in front of blade  guns  for me.

 Jumping Lion walked over to greet them.....I have  10 minutes left on my shift..there are a couple  pilots  painting and   stuff,  D flight's  ground  crew is  working, no one else
  that i have seen...Have a Good  Night, 'Blade Catcher'... The  Young  Indian  trooper  walks off.

 Will looks  at Meari,great?  Now i have a nick name?

  the Horn Blared through the Hanger dec... in  6 minutes.maybe less...  ground  crews  were  pouring onto the dec, to     finish painting the   aircraft ESN  Blue  and  add the piltos   numbers

 Will  listened to the    message   before the Horn  Blew, he looked  bummed out...dammit..no way Stefi is clearing  me for this...

After applying a second coat of white paint Harry would carefully remove the paper templates she had taped into place, revealing a basic skull and the lettering "Once More Into The Black" leaving her the rather more delicate task of hand painting the Rose and Switchblade beneath the skull followed by highlighting and shading the skull to give it the look she desired. She wasn't the world's greatest artist but she was fairly happy with how it was looking so far, it also came with the added bonus of keeping her mind off of certain subjects and people.

It was as she was working on the blade, using a selection of greys, and white paints that she would start anxiously keeping an eye out for Will, hoping that Nikki had been right about him working the hangar dec tonight, that he would be alone and more importantly willing to talk to her, even if it was only to confirm things were over between them and discover the reasons why things had gone so badly so fast.

  Will was  angry as  they stopped  by the second   hanger Dec  opening.why couldn't they wait  another day or two!... dammit...

 Will wasn't  even carrying  a Pulse rifle. he had to settle on his  sidearm for   the main weapon

 Pilots  starting to   stream off the lifts, heading to  thier  aircraft to make sure they had  belts  ready and to double  check things.

   0orther   hanger Dec  crew folks were setting up   the scaffolds  for  the  'war room'.. controlled  chaos, except maybe for the new folks..it seems  like just chaos

 Meari smiled at Will and said," Yes it is very good to have friends." Meari chuckles and responds," No promises Will, but I think there was enough of us getting hit by blade weapons." She laughs as they continue their rounds. Jumping Lion came over and they officially took the watch. After
 Jumping Lion came over and gave them the low down Meari smiled at him and said," Thankyou Jumping Lion." After Will commented about having a nickname she giggles and replied," Well Will I have heard a lot of worse nicknames, but Will you did good just stop jumping at the bad guys ok." Meari smiled and gently patted him on the back.

 When the horn blew Meari smiled they where going to kick ass, she heard the Admiral say they where going after the Roussians and they where tracking the children. Will would notice Meari's eyes turning darker like Shade's do, she then added," If those bastards harm any one of those kids I will kill them all and show no mercy." She took a few deep breaths and added," Maybe she will in a limited form , I hope she clears me for full combat. I really cant believe the Roussians where stupid enough to go after the Kids the Admiral will make them pay and we will both get our chance to help Will, I can feel it." Meari could only think of Skiffle and all those kids she hoped they where not harmed, and Meari would do whatever it took to prevent it.

 Meari pulled out her shot gun and said," Will take this pulse rifle I have my shotgun."

Henry arrived with his usual puppylike eagerness to see anything interesting and looked round for Zob. Surely he wouldn't be that difficult to spot?

With the announcement of the upcoming engagement with Roussian forces resulting in the relatively peaceful hangar dec turning into a mad house as ground crew and pilots started swarming over their fighters Harry couldn't help but curse beneath her breath. The whole reason she was here was so that; one she could speak to Will without an audience, and two because she'd wanted to be alone!

With a weary sigh she would continue to paint the roses stem so that it wrapped around the hilt of the switchblade, quietly laughing inside at the thought that the toy companies would have to update their "117" fighter kits because of her alterations. With the fleet heading into battle Harry knew she would have to finish her artwork soon so that she could get her belts loaded, but she would be damned she was going into battle with half done art!

It was as she was moving to consult one of the sketches currently scattered across her wing that she would finally spot Will, with a small ray of hope appearing when she saw Meari patrolling with him rather than any of the other women in SEC. Although the Udenese woman wasn't a friend as such she was also confident that she wouldn't actively side against her. And so she would wait until the pair and drawn a little closer before taking a couple of deep, steadying breaths before calling his name and looking more than a little nervous over what would happen next.

In reply to Henry Christie (msg # 981):

Zob looked to the QM clerk, "He's on his way" after a few minutes the sight of Dr Henry coming off the elevator could be seen Zob waved to flag him down.

Val followed    henry , she  still had her Vidboard to get some  pics  and Vids...

 Will turned and Saw   Harry as she   called out, he and meari were at the   static  field, before , it was  just thier walk, now it was trying to stay out of the way.

 He gave he a nod and a slight wave, and an awkward smile  that you might  see in an office.

  Brivet  was calling out to   the   new  transfers....all of you  go to the  4  pool aircraft..The LC or Captain Morris  will say who gets a ride today..but you should all go over the aircraft to make sure    they are ready.

 the Everest  transfers ran  over to the Pool Aircraft that was close  to  the  end of the   Felrite , flight line, near  Zob and the cage

 Shadow   stepped on the  Deck  he had  his light boarding  armor chest plate on,( which hid  the padding he put under   so the  yoke  did bother his shoulder too much.

  He looked at his machine , Argie was loading the Belts    as he came around the  berth

Henry waved back to Zob and headed over towards him, holding Val's hand.

"Hello, Zobaich... what's all this then? Where did you find it?"
