Sam said as Lizzy was still with Harry," I have a funny feeling Lizzy will have a hard time saying no to any child needing a home, just my gut feeling." She giggled and smiled.

 Sam had a real happy smile and replied," Thank you I will make sure she knows there is no rank just girls getting pampered and having fun." Sam smiled and got out her Comms. She then said," Do you mind if I comm her now or should we decide on when we are going to do this, tomorrow before the game or the next day before the Ball?"

I'm  thinking the Admiral for officiant, can't get much more official than that, see if Izzy wants to take photos for us and if she behaves we let her share a few to the press. Orria can be the maid of honor if she'd like, and if she wants to do that I'll ask Captain Si to be the matron of honor so there's someone a little more responsible than an 8-9 year old girl helping me out. if we're doing human style wedding we'll need a best man. "Well if Will's message is anything to go by, the game starts in like an hour so before the ball tomorrow would be good" Harry said in response to the different times on offer, with her having to leave to meet up Will very soon if she was to join him for the game "To be brutally honest I don't really want to go to the game; I can't stand American football, I can't drink and things between Will and me aren't exactly great...I don't really want to go to the ball either, I'm just going to wind up looking like a teenage boy in a dress again" she said in a miserable voice as the comment about her being the easiest target circling around within her head.

 Lizzy smiled still not her normal smile she use to have with Harry, and replies," Ok before the Ball or if they add a third day we could do it then, maybe invite more ladies, oh why dont you invite your new wingmate Billie."

Haley was in the elevator as Capt. Si's announcement came overhead.  She listened but a lot made no sense to her.  However Ball did.  She wondered if she would be allowed to go like the last one.  The door opened and she stepped off and smiled.  She did it...she got to the rec dec by herself.  She felt proud, like she made it over a big hurdle.  She spotted Lizzy right off... all the red hair was a give away.  She waved then made her way to Lizzy "Hi" she said bubbily.

"Yeah, either after the game or before the ball would be good for me" Harry softly replied, looking and feeling just a little awkward around Lizzy "...I'd really like to go...I...I really need to sort my head out I've not been coping great since...well...you know..." she finished, quickly trying to hide the pained look in her eyes by taking a drink of her tea before nodding her head when it was suggested that she ask Billie along as well "Sure...I can ask her though she may not want to come, I'm not sure how her messed up nervous system would cope with a massage...that and she's recently hooked up with Arnie" she said knowing how she and Will were when they'd first started dating causing another stab of pain in her chest when she thought of how things between them now.

Thankfully at this point they would be joined by Haley, With Harry leaning to look past Lizzy at the young girl before speaking with a slight smile "Lizzy love, you seem to have gained a little friend, and I'm not talking about Izzy"

"I know" Izzy said with a comic groan having already come to the conclusion that Lizzy would be more than happy to take in any and all waifs and strays she came across "...the problem is we're both combat personnel living in tiny ensign quarters and....and I'm not sure I'm ready to be a mother yet" she said, anxiously biting her bottom lip. It was alright for Lizzy, she was a natural with children and it was obvious that she would make a great mother some day, Izzy meanwhile found the idea of trying to raise a child terrifying! Not to mention the fact that she was really enjoying her life with Lizzy and didn't really want it to change just yet "...but yeah, feel free to give her a call, we can always let her know when and where closer to the time" she said pulling out one of her vid boards and running a search for potential spa's on the station.

 Lizzy smiles and replies," That sounds great, I think we will shoot for before the Ball, or if they add a third day we could do it that morning." Lizzy listened and then added," I know you could use it, and if you ever need to talk Harry my ear is still open to you. Yes you have been a mess since then, well hang in there Harry maybe this will help a lot. Just remember know matter how bad you hate yourself others still care for you, just remember that Harry ok."

 Then Harry talked about Billie she was happy she changed the subject quickly. " Oh yeah I forgot about that but at least ask her, oh really she is dating Arnie the bartender on the Observation dec?" Lizzy went all gossip monger for a second, but she was happy for Billie. Then Harry pointed out Haley was here just as Haley said hi. Lizzy's eyes lit up, and she couldnt hide that huge smile when she saw Haley. She turns to her and says," Hi Haley how was your trip to see the Largs? Where is Roll, and did you just make it from Doctor Christy's lab to here all by yourself?" Lizzy also was very bubbly after seeing Haley return, she was in heaven talking with Haley, she couldnt help it she loved children so much, she gave Haley a big hug.

 Sam took Izzy's hand as a friend and said," We are never ready for what life throws our way, we just have to open up to it and enjoy life, we only get one right. I can see where the accommodations could be a problem but if you had a child they might give you family quarters, and both being in combat is  very dangerous but we never know what could happen in this war come on if it wasnt for the Harvester most of the Hermes crew would be dead."

 Sam moves closer to Izzy and says quietly," You just have to do you best and just enjoy life and just deal with life as it comes at you right. I dont think I am ready to be a mother either I am happier with computers than people." she giggles.

 Sam smiled and said," I will at least ask her if it wasnt for her I wouldnt have this great position." Sam then saw Haley with Lizzy and Harry and added," Well looks like Lizzy has already found a cute litle one, look at her she is amazing with children Izzy, she truly is."

 Sam then got out her Comms and sent Sarah a Comms Text Message: " Commodore Ma'am I wish to ask you as Sarah and as one of the ladies of the Fleet if you would like to join, myself, Izzy, her girlfriend Lizzy and a few other ladies for a spa day, most likely before the Ball or if we have a third day on Everest Ma'am. I wanted to ask you, just when we go out we are all just ladies no rank while we get pampered Sarah if that is ok, I really wanted to invite you Sarah."

Sarah was sitting at a table slightly out of sight and behind Sam across the room, she'd gone back to working on paperwork and wrapping up the last of the reports necessary from the prior engagements, the way she saw it barring anything unforeseen she'd be about a day behind on paperwork by the time they arrived, and that'd have to be good enough for all the bureaucratic pencil pusher back at Bura and along the APF.

Her comm went off softly indicating a message. Putting down her board for a moment she reads the message, and considers the offer. While she typically tried to maintain a little distance from her staff to allow them room to breathe, a little closer interaction could build bonds and improve efficiency as well as working relationship. Typing out a quick message she replies, "Sure, Sam. I'd love too. Forward me the details. I'll be there barring any thing that requires my urgent attention." Setting down the comm she reaches for a rapidly cooling cup of hot cocoa taking a sip before setting back to work.

”Well I wish they wouldn’t! I’m not worth being concerned over, I’m just a head case who’s only good for killing people!” she replied leaning back in her chair once again as Lizzy turned to speak to Haley ”I’ll drop Billie a message or something about the spa day and see if she wants in, but yeah she’s with Arnie now so don’t be surprised if she has other plans” Harry said closing her eyes fully intending to sit and drink the rest of her tea before heading off to bed.

 Lizzy smiled at Haley and said," Can you go over to where Auntie Izzy and Sam are, at our original table I will be with you in just a minute."

 Once Haley was out of earshot Lizzy got close to Harry and said in a strong tone," Now listen here Harry, you might think you are just a head case only good for killing people but I see so much more Harry. You cant let the bad things that happen get you down, and you need to find a good healthy outlet, but I never want you talking about yourself like that Harry. You are a good person if you just let that person out and stop being the tough girl who doesnt care, because you do care Harry, and I also care as we found out maybe a little too much. I know you feel betrayed, hurt and alone, trust me I know how you feel I have no family anymore, and I got to watch my Father get executed by Plasma eating him alive, I know the pain you feel Harry and yes you think I betrayed you but what I did I did because I care about you Harry more then you will ever know. I am sorry what happened between us but that cant be changed we just have to move on with our lives, I hope we can be friends Harry."

 Lizzy decided to leave it at that and then added," Yeah that is great just let her know she is invited if she is free, Harry remember everyone can change they just need to want to change that is the big thing isnt it." Lizzy would then head back over to Izzy, Sam and Haley.

Haley smiled "Rolls on the Oh-Bee deck." when she was asked "Hi Harry" she waved.  When asked if she could scoot away "Adult talk?  I got it.  I'm gonna go over to the ramp there and go rolling...Its fun" So between the field and rec dec she joined a few schoolgirls just rolling about and kinda practicing gymnastics.

There would be a brief pause whilst they waited for Haley to get out of earshot before Lizzy tore into her, leaving Harry unsure as to whether it was a pep talk or a scolding she was receiving. Upon her mentioning her father’s execution Harry would respond she in an anguished voice ”yes but you didn’t pull the trigger did you? I did! And I didn’t even bloody hesitate, I just did it...What kind of a monster can kill her own sister without even pausing for fucking thought!?” she said with the pain she felt clear for Lizzy to see and hear ”I joined up to do something good with my life and make my parents proud of me... Instead I’m the same psychotic monster I’ve always been and I can never go home...and it won’t be much longer before Will realises what a horrible person I am and leaves me too”

 As Lizzy turned away Harry spoke, Lizzy turned and looked at her former lover and hopefully friend and said with feeling, No I didn't but if I had the choice I would have Harry, that makes me a monster as well. Look Harry this is war if you would have thought she might have killed someone else, you did what you had too, I don't let the killing for our freedomdefine me, I know it is hard but you are a good person Harry I know you are, you just have to figure it out on your own. Because Harry if you keep going the way you are, you will push everyone away,  but no matter what you might not believe this I will always be there for you Harry no matterwhat.

 This time Lizzy didn't wait for her response and headed over to Izzy, Sam and Haley.

It was clear that Harry was far from convinced by Lizzy’s claim that she was a good person,  but would remain silent as Lizzy returned to her new girlfriend. Sitting all by herself she would finish her tea, wishing that it was something far stronger, before getting up and heading back to her quarters.

She would listen as Sam held her hand and softly spoke to her, grateful for the support even if having children still terrified her ”I know, but everything is happening so fast and I don’t want my life with Lizzy to change just yet” she softly said loving every minute of the wild and passionate relationship she had found herself in after living a lie for so my many years ”... Also what if we took a child in and it didn’t like me? I don’t want to risk losing Lizzy” she said in anxious voice as Lizzy turned to leave Harry’s table with the blonde pilot looking just as subdued as before.

Once Lizzy had returned Izzy would smile before asking ”is there something the matter?” curious to hear what had gone on between them and more importantly whether Lizzy was ok.

 Sam held her friends hand and said,' Well then slow things down, tell Lizzy that, yes she loves children but tell her you want it to be just the two of you for a bit, maybe after the war you can have kids, or if it goes too long maybe then you both will be ready." After Izzy spoke of a child not liking her, and her loosing Lizzy, Sam said," For one I dont think that would happen, if people would give you a chance they would like you as Lizzy and I like you Izzy. Plus I bet Lizzy would see that and defend you, she loves children but I dont think she will let then run all over her that is not Lizzy. My best suggestion is talk to Lizzy and tell her how you feel, I mean a real talk not oh yes we can talk, I mean a serious talk ok Izzy."

 When Sam was done Lizzy began her way back to the table, Sam didnt say anything she waited for Lizzy to respond. This is when her Comms went off and she got the reply from Sarah that she would love to join them just text her the details. Sam then sent a message back to Sarah.
Comm Text Message : " That is great Ma'am looks like the morning before the Ball or the third day morning if we stay that long Ma'am, I thought you could use a day of pampering, talk to you later  Sarah."

 Lizzy hoped she got through to Harry, she had to realize this was war and we had to do very bad things that doesnt make us bad people, God Lizzy really hoped that was true.

 Lizzy got to the table she smiled at Izzy and said," She said she would like to join us, but she can only do before the Ball or if we have a third day added. No my love nothing the matter it is just that Harry is taking shooting down her sister pretty hard, she thinks she is just this monster now. I tried to tell her there is more to you then that, this war has turned us all into monsters. I mean just yesterday I watched my own Father get executed by Plasma, I should be called the monster. I hope Harry snaps out of it, or everything she care about will be gone." Lizzy then smiled at Izzy and Sam and took a seat.

 Then they would spend time talking and chatting and getting to know each other more. Lizzy kept smiling at Izzy, but was she a monster for wanting to see her father killed for what he had done. Lizzy decided right there she would do whatever it took to win the war and then have a great life flying something and living somewhere peaceful with Izzy raising a family.

 As it got late Lizzy said," I think we should call it a night we will see you tomorrow Sam? Not sure what we are doing tomorrow I have interest in the football game."

”Yeah I guess you’re right... I just don’t want to put her off” Izzy softly replied knowing how important having kids was to Lizzy and that if it came to a choice that she wasn’t guaranteed to be chosen. With Lizzy returning to the table she would drop the topic of conversation, listening as she spoke of Harry and her problems ”I can’t even begin to understand how that must feel like” Izzy replied, having never had any siblings with the closest she could equate it to being if either Sam or Lizzy had betrayed her. Perhaps it was little wonder that she was as messed up as she was.

With the time growing incredibly late she would agree with Lizzy that it was time for them to get some sleep, with her giving Sam a quick hug and a peck on the cheek before bidding her good night and following Lizzy back to their quarters, hoping for a better night’s sleep than she’d had last night.

 Sam smiled and said, Yes I understand that but you have to trust Lizzy, I think she will choose you now but in time she will want a child i can see it in her.

 When Lizzy returned and spoke how Harry shot down her sister Sam said, Damn that would be rough and would fuck anyone up Sam was thinking sisters and fathers betraying their families she was actually glad she did not know her family and didn't have yo worry about being betrayed by them.

 They talked, smiled and had a great time but it was time to go. She hugged Izzy and Lizzy and headed for her VIP quawithdraw. Sarah. As she headed fir tge lufts she sent Howe a comm text message, Hi maybe we can meet tomorrow and have some fun text me in the morning,  it would be nice to see you Lt.

 Lizzy smiled and replied to Izzy and Sam,Yeah it can't be easy to deal with but I will try and help her,  but she needs to want to be helped.

 Then it was time to go she said good night to Sam, and hugged her. Lizzy then held Izzy's hand as they headed off to sleep and a full day off.
