Roy, please protect yourself.  Covid is proven airborne and has been infecting people through the mucus membrane in the eyes.  As well as the nose and lungs.  I use wrap around safety glasses and a respirator as well as gloving up and wearing resperator

Re: OOC #28

I just had to fetch medications so trundled round wrapped in a scarf (can't stand those face masks...). Round here, everyone seems to think that wearing a face covering means that there's no need for social distancing!

Fortunately the university is doing everything online so I don't have to budge from the safety of my own home to do my job. Although I do not appreciate students who think it's OK to use the chat facility in MS Teams half-way through my D&D game! And who when told "I'm playing D&D" go ahead and ask their question anyway. The rascal even invited me to play some online game with him (Warzone, I think).

Some people seem to think students should get a reduction in tuition fees because they are being taught on line. Such folk obviously have never taught online. It probably takes more effort than walking down the hall to a lecture theatre and talking for an hour!

Re: OOC #28

I would be more concerned, but aside from coworkers, I'm rarely within six feet of anyone at the park for more than a few seconds.  And unless I'm eating or drinking (never eat in public at the park, rarely drink anything in public), I'm masked the whole time.  So, for myself, I'm not too concerned.  For my coworkers who actually routinely interact with the public in close proximity, for the park's long-term reputation, and for the park's patrons, I have some serious concerns.

Re: OOC #28

Just woke a bit ago....looked outside and WE GOT SNOW!!!
first of the season.  only 2-3 days ago we had termination dust on the mountains.  didn't expect things this quick.
For those not knowing 'Termination dust' is the first snow sticking on the mountains signifying the end of fall, the termination of summer for the season.

now we get to see who is new in town and cannot drive on snow and such.  lol
being Sunday, may not be too bad.

*grin* Snow sticking to the mountains is usually the sign that autumn has finally gotten serious, around here.

Re: OOC #28

On a totally different note...

A buddy and I have been rewatching the Harry Potter movies--at the movie theater.  The computer we use to play ads between movies also has a DVD player in it, so I've taken the opportunity to watch several movies I've either never seen on the big screen or haven't seen in decades...

We were watching the last Harry Potter film tonight and he commented that it was really dark (not thematically...the image was very dark).  And he was right.  I figured it was just a combination of the overall darkness of the imagery (there's a LOT of black in those movies, and a lot of low-light shots)...but after it was done, and he left, I decided to poke around the computer a little bit...

Turns out, Media Player has an option to adjust the video settings, and a simple bump of the brightness setting made a WORLD of difference.  So, now I just need to figure out what to watch next (I watched Alien earlier this summer by myself...posted about it on Facebook.  I had several friends threaten me with bodily harm if I watched Aliens and didn't invite them...so that's gotta happen at some point...*grin*)

Totally want to dub the dark side of the moon over the Wizard of Oz sound score and play it in a theatre.

Okay, can we say Garrat dropped off all the transmissions the IS picked up from the mouse and any records he had on the chase to sec?  While there He would ask if his crew is welcome on the ESN beach.

..  You could send someone to the Hermes..or  Give it to EvereSEC.

the beach is staying open all  night , the  crew would be allowed to attend.

Then it would have been dropped off at the Hermes.  Garrat has no trust of Eversecurity.  I was asked to attend the ball, I was going to see if Joseph and freinds could be there for entertainment but it's probably too late for that.

Can Garrat attend, are we NPCing Teela for that?  I'm sure she'd be there if Chronic fatigue hadn't floored her again this last weekend.  I worry about her.

Re: OOC #28

Teela would be  invited because of her  awards. How you chose to play it with her is up to you?

I can't insert her  to 'spa day'. there is a good  bet she  would have went  unless Garrat  had somehting for them to do.

I don't like playing PCs, other then to have them in the backround , when they are shelved

so?  play  as you will? she can be   'tired' at the Ball, you can have a post or two with her  and Garrat dancing  and stuff like that,

Re: OOC #28

So...here I am, in the middle of my managing shift.  I think I've got a grand total of eight people between the three theaters (nobody came to see Twilight:New Moon...color me shocked, but not really), and everyone else has gone home for the night.  I've cleaned everything on the list (that the candy-counter kids are actually supposed to clean, but I knew I'd be bored so I let her go home without having done it, because I'd already done half of it), plus a bunch of stuff that I looked at and said, "Someone should clean that."  And I've still got almost an hour and a half left before I can leave.

Glad my first night at it was slow...wish, maybe, it wasn't THIS slow...*laugh*

Re: OOC #28

Largrans  astrong swimers,  as are demons, but not  'fast'...Hyrians   are faster in the  water..but  do not have  endurance.

apefolk are like humans in that  they don't know how to swim, but can be taught.

Crsehians  are mixed... some  can  swim, some can't , depends  what  form thier bodies  took..appendages they  have ...

 Avains  can't  swim at all..

Mulls are int eh same  catagory as humans and Ape folk, as  are Gava and Occui

Sanri have to be  taught to  swim and   can swim  very long disatnces..but arte not fast.
