Meari looked at everyone and smiled, she was happy Jug was here and Meari was extremely happy Tarja was here. Meari looked at Tarja and replied," You are very beautiful Tarja dont sell yourself short.

 Meari then responded to Tarja," Of course lets go look for a dark blue dress for you." Meari looked with and without Tarja and returned with one she showed to Tarja and the other she picked for herself.

Nikki looked at what Meari found "OOoohh...  that's pretty too."  She turned to Jug "let's see what this one will do for you?" and led Jug to the privacy screen to change.

Jug kinda of thought the dress a bit long but nodded and moved behind the screen. Good thing Gavas were not shy "You show me how to wear?" she said to Nikki.  who surprisingly agreed.  In moments and hushed whispered Jug came out.  The outfit fit her torso and waist but was way too long. "Don't worry there are tailor who can fix that plus we can still use it to oooo...hey, use it to braid in your hair. I'll find some bling to go with it." Next thing Jug knew she was being walked towards the tailors.  she did like it though.  she knew she would not outshine the other ladies, but she was happy just being accepted.  Nikki talked to the tailors and they began pinning, cutting, and stitching the dress to fit Jug better.  The dress became palazzo pants, split open to expose her legs up her legs and blingy cords holding them securely. so it flowed like a dress, yet felt a bit like light pants.  the excess material made so a hair decoration and armband, plus ankle wraps.  Nikki added some earrings and bangles and a chain of glittery looking metal and used them to glitzy up the belt, armband, what have you. "You sure about this?" she looked at Nikki.
Nikki nodded "we'll braid your hair and use this piece to play with it and put some earrings on it so it all matches.  not sure about make up, but the other ladies can help" Nikki held up Jugs hair carefully realizing there were sharp things in her braids.

When she was brought over to  the hair and makeup and asked what she wanted, Billie did her best to explain. She wanted her hair up off her neck but nothing too tight or over the top. She just wanted something simple. With her makeup, a slightly heavier eye make up was requested along with a nude lip. She wasn’t quite sure how much time had passed as they worked their magic, focusing on the idle chatter around and letting her mind turn it into a buzzing sound that she found oddly calming in a way. When they had finished, she looked at herself in the mirror, surprised and clearly impressed. “You guys are amazing...there’s no way I could have pulled this off myself unless I was going for a more...clownish look,” she chuckled. “Thank you.” The whole look seemed to really come together at this point and she was sure that it wasn’t because of anything she had done specifically. She had hoped that Arnie would approve of her choice. She was never really one for a huge amount of embellishments, preferring a more simple, elegant (at least what she thought was elegant) styling for these things. Stepping aside to make room for others, Billie looked at the racks of angel silks that came in so many colors and styles. There always seemed to be something for everyone and, if she were honest with herself, it made her feel extremely feminine. It was a side of her that she didn’t really nourish much save for the balls. Spotting Nikki and the others, Billie gave a rather timid wave before going over and getting something to drink.

Nikki had Jug looking good.  when she was done Billie was coming over to look " Hay Billie.  Have you met Jug?  This is her first dress party" Jug was looking in the mirror and stretched to see how it all fit.  Suddenly exclaiming "I have boobs!" as if she just discovered them.  Nikki smiled.  "ladies... think Jug makes the cut?  I think she look wonderful."

Talking to the other women about dresses and makeup was like learning a whole new language as Tarja followed Nikki and Meari about the racks of dresses looking ever so slightly lost, though the glass of wine she’d drunk certainly helped. After a few minutes of searching Nikki would eventually discover a long blue dress hidden in amongst the others that she said would be good colour for her ”Is very nice…” Tarja quietly said as she ran a finger along the fabric, with it reminding her of dragon scales, for some reason, before deciding to try it on and see how it looked on her.

After a quick look around it would quickly become apparent that there wasn’t any changing rooms as such and so Tarja would turn her back to Nikki and undress with years in the army meaning that she wasn’t bashful despite the fact that she was five or more years older than most of the other women in the room.

Once she was in the long dress she would admire herself in one of the full length mirrors ”Is a little long maybe? I’m not sure I could run in this…but does show off arms and the girls nicely…hmm…I don’t know” Tarja said taking a few more minutes to admire her reflection in indecision before Meari presented her with an alternative that Tarja’s mother certainly wouldn’t approve of. It was with this thought in mind that Tarja would carefully remove the first dress and change into the second.

Short and with a plunging neckline the dress would show off not only her long muscular limbs that were decorated by the occasional scar but also a definite six pack along with more than a little cleavage ”Oooh my mother would have hated this dress…I can hear her telling me to change in head…I love it!” Tarja said as she once again admired her reflection in the mirror before turning to the assembled women with a confused look on her face ”um…the quick question how do I…ah how do you say?…keep…um…keep girls under cover?”

”Oh wow! That’s so pretty, Zob won’t be able to keep his hands off of you!” Izzy exclaimed excitedly upon seeing Sam in her dress ”All you need now is a pair of shoes and a little makeup…oh!…I think I saw the perfect pair!” she said as she took Sam’s hand and led her over to the neatly arranged selection of shoes.

Looking up at the sound of Nikki’s voice Izzy would smile at Jug who was seemingly surprised that she was actually female ”you look amazing Jug! The guys won’t know what hit them!”…short chicks for the win” Izzy said with a giggle as she continued to help Sam look for a pair of shoes to complete her outfit.

after talking with Nikki and the alteration, the added bling, she decided to take her 'gown' for a short twirl. she then nodded approval.  after making sure it was good she went to Captain Si "Captain.. Ma'am.  I want to make sure this meets you approval and say thank you"

 Lizzy was all set she kissed Izzy as she was helping Sam and she went to which ever lady is open doing makeup, Lizzy walked over to see who was open.

 Meari smiled at Jug and replied," You look beautiful Jug, I am very happy you decided to come to this Ball.

 Meari then turned to Tarja and replied," I am glad you liked it, I saw it and knew it would show off your best features." Then Tarja asked her question, Meari giggled and it was pretty good and she replied," Put the dress on once it warms up to your body the Angel Silk will stick to you like glue holding the girls, as you say which I guess you mean your breasts, and the dress hugs all of your curves."

 Meari then removed her robe and only had on light purple panties on, and her sidearm and her Udenese dagger strapped to her thighs. Meari then put on the dress and then asked," Ok ladies how do I look?"

 Sam giggled at Izzy and replied," Thank you, I didnt think I was going to find one this time, but then I saw this one. I am really glad you like it." Sam then went with Izzy to find a pair of shoes.

 Sam found the pair of shoes and slipped them on, she then saw Jug and was very surprised and she said," Wow Jug you look wonderful and absolutely stunning, yes short people the win."

Nikki beamed at both Haley and Jug.  looking at Meari "Purple and amethyst tones are your color Meari" giving a thumb up to her. Privately she thought Meari would probably look good in anything.  Haley had her dress hemmed and they made new ballerina shoes for her.  Nikki then found a pair of gentle heels to wear and moved to get hair and make up done.  Hearing Tarja she glanced at the deep plunge of her dress "Tarja, also there is some glittery lotion you can use. adds a bit of body glitter and stick to the fabric a bit to prevent 'slippage'.  It does not hurt the fabric or anything so it's safe"
Haley also came and Frans and other ladies played with her hair "Could Ah have a pink stripe or two?" remembering the temp hair colors were there "Please"

There  was a  hiss of   Si's  door  and a  woman trooper  entered. she  got  big eyes  as she saw the dresses.. but recovered as she  said,Gegging Your  Pardon, Captain. The Admiral send s his compliments, as says   we are  45 minutes out from Docking. That all those   =goinf to the ball  should report to the Hanger  dec  for transportaion , 2 hours  after...

Captain Sis   saw the Look in the troopers   eyes.Trooper  Gools...  Invite your   companion in, and , please pick out  a Dress  . You two will attend   was  , 'body guards'.. You will, of course  have to ride in the Limo with  Me....

 Captain Si   motioned to the lady  troopers  who were removing thier  armore  and securing thier weapons.Ladies?  this is  Trooper   Mitts... the Blonde waved, a bit embarrassed,..and Trooper Gools.. They will be attenbding  as  my..um...bodyguards  , undercover ...of  course...  The Brunette  smiled  and  waved  as well.. beth waved them over    and showed them the Racks,, The troopers  were wided  eyed  with wonder, lookign at all the Ladies   around them, some , whom they only knew from seeing  as they  walked the  passage ways or on the rec Dec.

”yes, dress certainly shows off best bits…and the other bits too” Tarja said with something approaching a giggle as she flexed one of her arms, with the sound of giggling coming from the usually cool and reserved Tarja being a little strange. Meari would then explain that the silk would warm up and mould to her body, hugging her figure and keeping everything in place, with Nikki also suggesting a glittery lotion that would also help.

”Dress looks very good on you Meari, colour is perfect for you” Tarja would compliment once Meari had changed with her having also seen far more of her 2IC than she’d expected to, with her quietly cursing the fact that she wasn’t single.

With her dress sorted Tarja would find herself a pair of shoes that would prompt her to try and recall how to walk in heels before tentatively approaching the makeup tables in the hope that someone would take pity and help her as Captain Si announced that they needed to be on the hangar dec in two hours.

Nikki was not sure if Mitch was back or not.  He had not asked her... not that he was obligated too, though she wished he would.  still, war being war, things were as they were and no sense worrying about what you cannot change.  she sent him a message.

She overheard Si asking her guards to join her. Nikki smiled "Ladies come in...we will have you glammed up that you'll have to beat them off with a stick" her southern accent coming through. she grabbed the gown she showed Tarja before. she then moved as their armor was removed and she could see faces and bodies.  "Pretty blonde hair. good figure with a booty.  definitely want to show that off..." she held the bark blue snakeskin looking dress up to one "OOohhh... like that makes your blue eyes darker... any slow dance partner could get lost in them" indicating a possibility of garnering a aa date in there. "If we leave your hair loose and put a single strand of dark blue... yes and of course some dramatic neutrals on the make up.  whatcha think?" she was almost talking a mile a minute, but she liked helping and making the ladies look stunning.

 The  trooper  were Blushing and Nervous, to say they were surprised   was an understatement the size of the Hermes.  they  were nodding  their heads  as they looked  around.. Seeing people Like  Cora and Ellen  and Maria  there helped , but then ere   Aces, and some  fleet officers  as if  they were all the same people.

After finding a pair of shoes to go with Sam’s outfit, with a brief pause where she returned Lizzy’s kiss and then watched her walking away to get her makeup done,  Izzy would smile as she went to do her hair and makeup at one of the mirrors ”oh you look amazing Sam, and we both know you would pass up the chance for a dance with Zob at the ball” she giggled as she looked through the array of products in front of her.

She had originally had to cut her long black hair short after large portions of it had been burnt in an explosion, however she had since taken to keeping it in a shorter style. Partly because it was easier to care for out in the field and wouldn’t get in the way and partly because Lizzy hadn’t objected to the shorter style. And so she would use a selection of styling clays and powders to get her hair the way she wanted it before working on her makeup so as draw peoples attention towards her lips and eyes and away from her ravaged cheek and neck.

It was during this time that Captain Si would first announce that they had two hours until they were due to leave, and then invite the ladies that had been guarding the door to join them with her waving off any fears as to who guard the door in the meantime. Considering that both Meari and Tarja were present, not to mention the heavy weapons girls, any guy barging in to get a look at them would quickly regret it ”if you girls need any help with your hair I’m free to help out” Izzy offered having finished her own look and now simply waiting for Sam and Lizzy to finish.

As the pair of women who had been on guard duty were invited to join them, Tarja could sympathise with how they were feeling surrounded by glamorous officers and pilots with it still feeling a little strange that she was allowed to be here herself ”relax and enjoy it ladies, thats an order” Tarja said to the pair of women with a chuckle before offering them a smile and adding ”…and if anyone comes through that door the Captain doesn’t want to be here we’ll deal with it” she said pointing between herself and Meari in a way that said that such an intruder would regret it.

Walking over to the makeup table’s Tarja’s eyes would go wide as she saw the sheer amount of products on offer with it being a far cry from the single lipstick and bottle mascara she’d had as a teenager ”hi…um…could somebody be helping me with the makeup please? It has been a very long time since I am using makeup…and wasn’t very good then either” she nervously asked.

 Well..Eck does Hair..Gia  does Makeup, and  I do both. There  are a couple othe rladies  who are go at this  as well, if  yo8  find  someone who you feel  comfortable with, they are free to grab stuff  from out 'war chests' here.  Frans  chuckled as she  motioned to the chair..

 Mara added, Nikki has some 'down home'  ideas, and some hair  coloring  things as well, if you want to  have hair that looked like  Beth!

Haley giggled as Nikki still sang, getting a few ladies to also sing at least the chorus. "Ma'am.  Nikkis sisters also babysat my brothers and sister, and me a lot.  both talked about boys and stuff." Haley said with a smile.  It hurt thinking of her sister, but also felt good to talk about home too. "Nikki says it may be a few years before Ah go 'boy crazy'.  Ah just know that there's one boy I like" she said. Capshaw, who then spoke of being an 'older woman'. Haleys brow worked into a knit and she straightened up a bit and looked at her "Ma'am!?, 'Old' ain't dead. If Mr. Shadow don't dance at least one dance with you he's gonna have Haley McGaha up in his face!" she said adamantly and emphatically.  Like Nikki the madder she got the more prevalent her Southern accent became.

”I think that style looks better on Beth…” Tarja diplomatically replied glancing over at Beth as she made her little spiel, chuckling softly at the good natured heckling she received ”…no I am happy to leave hair loose, I have to have it up whilst on duty…it’s the makeup I need help with…um…Nikki mentioned something about Smouldering eyes? she said hopefully.

 Lizzy got her shoes, and then got her makeup done to really shoe off her eyes and to match her hair and dress. When Lizzy was all set and ready to go, she walked back over to Izzy." I am all set my love, how do I look." Lizzy then smiled at Izzy, spin around slowly then gave Izzy a kiss and waited for her answer.

 Sam walked over to Frans and them and said," Who is open to do my makeup, I want to look amazing for Zob." Sam was all set except her makeup, her hair was all set, styled like she always did, unless someone wanted to try something with her hair.

 Meari smiled at Tarja and the others, she gave the troopers nods and replied," Enjoy yourselves, it is fun to dress up nice and show off ladies." Meari nodded at Jug and Tarja and headed over to the makeup table," Ok who wants to tackle my shifting skin tones this time?"
