Roy made his way through the infantry troops, helping the new transfers get squared away or providing some steadying counsel, joking with the veterans, stoically refusing the remonstrations of wounded personnel who had not yet been cleared for full duty.  Through it all, two emotions seeped around the edges of whatever he was doing...supreme confidence, and an edge of feral, predatory energy...a wolf ready to hunt.

He worked his way through the troopers on his way to Beth's improvised Combat Information Center.  He gave Admiral Hack a nod as he stepped up.

"Assault troops are ready for whatever you want to use them for.  I'm guessing we're not likely to be slowing down long enough to go for any boarding actions until we've actually hit Roussian orbit...at that point, it might be better to launch an attack on their command center, if we can locate it.  I'm guessing--again--that the Roussians haven't ever really fought a serious stand-up battle like that, just based on the utter lack of information about them from the Udenese and Hyrians.  Always intriguing to throw tactics at an enemy that's never faced anything like them..."

"I was there...you were always too busy flirting with Cora and Ellen to notice me...like I said I can't compete with that, besides it's not like you went looking for me either" she softly said before continuing to walk away. Hearing his comment about speaking with the LC about her flying in her current state Harry would give another of those humourless laughs, like the whole world was one massive joke and she was the only one that understood the rather lousy punchline, with her quietly replying over her shoulder "Like you care" as she went.

Once she was safely within her berth she would pick up another tin of paint with a trembling hand, which was annoying but not insurmountable if she held the brush tightly enough, and continued working single-mindedly working on her nose art.

With Lizzy more than happy to keep an eye on little Haley, Nikki would leave to get ready with Lizzy taking the opportunity to ask her if she was alright with the situation "sure...why wouldn't I be?" she said forcing a smile to try and hide the anxiety she felt with her hoping that Lizzy had a better idea of how to look after a young girl than she did. With everyone busily preparing for what was to come Izzy supposed that she should make some preparations of her own and just volunteer her services somewhere "I should think about finding my armour...I'm not sure where I'm going to be but it wouldn't hurt to have it" and would almost certainly hurt not having it.
