Garrat rolls his eyes  “If I WERE bragging, it WOULD be in bad taste.  But this is neither human nor Roussian blood.  It belongs to... never mind.   It was in a Domesticated cat-snake my Friends found and I was just wondering .... well... forget about it.  How about the rest of it?”

  the two Roussian  look at  each other  as they  then turn to Garrat.The rest of  what? You seem  to have lost us?

  If there are  creatures out there taht can resists  Pulse  round?  we have not seen them.. some  might be tougher, and it takes a few more round to drop them..but..that goes for most planets...

   “Then food it is.  I’m feeding two Naragrans, ones injured, the other doesn’t want to leave her side.  We have two hover bikes with no ceiling and I have a 55cal anti-material so I can take down something pretty big and stay out of reach.  I just didn’t want to blindly hunt creatures I know nothing about.”

  The Older one looks  at Garrat,we'll take you in..help you find  something..There is the  Osstic,,they can get  get as big as you fancy bike.. but most are close to the  size of that white  animal that was  running with the Lizards we saw, when we left the signing  area.... They are good  eating, and  are real pests.. you'd  do the  folks of this town a favor if you  could take  a few of them  down... what you have to watch, is  predators that hunt them, they can make a meal out of you quickly..

 The younger one says,we will go..but   we get a kill to bring back for our selves  and 50 creds  each?

   Garrat snorts.  “Fancy?  You guys have been hoofing it too long.  Twentyfive a piece, three critters, and we’ll drop them off for you.   What are the bigger hunters?”

  The two  Hunters look at  eacj other , the  younger one looks  disappointed, the Older one says, we will do it...

 he offers his wrist for a shake.in this area..maybe for 50..100  miles.. the big hunters  are the  Briss and   the Akkie... The   Akkie is..um... he sorts through his  COM and says a word  in Roussian.. the  Picture  Comes  uo of  a  bear-like  creature , it has  fur front claws  that are long, unlike most animals it has  2 rear legs  and a prehensile tail. ..They are heavier then they look.. but they are Slim, for  going into Burrows  and   Tunnels..I bet  we lose , just in the   the year, 20 people a year to them..and  of course  out  Hikkia, which is like  your people's cows?

 The  younger one says,..you kill one of them, and take the Head to the Headmiester you get 10 creds bounty...

    “Looks like a good skin too.  Is it good eating?”

  .The Wilders eat them. The people who live in the mountains and deep forest. It evens out , ebcause they get eaten sometimes ..., I imagine alot of them were killed  by the blowing up of the Moutnain and the  children of the gods  pouring out to defend   Roussa?

 the younger one says with some sadness ,our ledgends , tell of times the Children of the gods  would come forth to  destroy the enemies of out people...to see them annihilated...it has shaken much of the world...It is a new..and much sadder day for Roussa.

   Garrett came to a stop, all of the other energy draining out of him.  He looked across at Nora, to his surprise she simply nodded, pulled out of a chair and sat down.

  He followed suit and ordered a non-alcohol beverage.  “I know what it’s like to have my homeworld violently taken by enemy forces.  Indeed mine was literally eaten by galactic beings empowered by our enemies.  My mother wife and two natural human children died that day.  We have powerful beings in our culture, and while they are transparent about what they are, we still often view them as if they were gods.  I was angry at them but had the luxury of being able too speak to them.  We worked it out.

Garrat’s drink came.  “I’m sorry but I can offer you no such solace.  What I can give you is how Your leader ship and the people in the cities Brow your God and it’s children. 

  The older  one  shrugs,,,The Children of the gods came forth a few  times, in my life time. almost always  taking away those  who invaded our world...The demons even parlayed when they first came here, after the destruction of many of thier people.

  he nods to the waitress  to bring another round for himself and the younger hunter.

  The children of the gods   would come and take  some of our own people..it was viewed as punishment  for non-belivers...

 Bah!.. that is what  the Holy people said to keep thier  station and the  credits that go with it..the  truth be told... the Children needed  more  food, and they came out to get it..and what ever poor bastard, no matter the  age or station.. would  be peeled and eaten

 Why?  the   Humans  and the APF showed us how to fight the children... and...if they are the children of the gods?.. I have no love  for a god that will kill children and innocnet folk..you saw the  vids, the same as me...APF folk saved the refugees, at the cost of some of thier own lives.. to be peeled and  eaten, is not  a good way to die...much less when you did it saving enemy people from thier own..gods... he spit the last word.

     Garrat goes to speak but Nora raises a hand “Gentle” She says softly.

     Garrat thinks for a bit, “The “children” of your “god” did defend your people but I’m afraid it wasn’t your god protecting you but your government manipulating them to it’s own purpose.”   Garrat shows the transmissions between Hack and th government including the explanation of the biomass and how the government sacrificed living beings to it to make the tar zombies.  He followed showing the control station and how he and Shade had hacked into it.

    “Had your government not traded in slaves and resisted us in league with the Empire we would have been happy to work with you rather than crush you.”

  The Older   Hunter  snorted as the  drinks arrived, the younger  hunter looked  socked  and unbelieving.

 It is always the way of it?  Power   used against your own people, is worse then power used by your enemies....because you expect your  enemies  to harm you.

  The Younger one  just sipped on his drink and shook his head.

when  do you want to go.

   “As soon as you are ready.  We leave this planet at 2000 hrs.”

   Nora points at the younger one, “You will be riding with me.  I’m a “civilian “ so you should be more comfortable”.

   Garrat nods in acceptance.  “From the air it should be a faster hunt, and our speeders have the ability to lift the kills immediately to the butcher location of your choice.”

  The   older hunter   downs  his  drink, grabs his  pack and   Roussian   Rifle.. the   younger one  follows  suit.

  That fancy clock the engineers  set up in the Middle of the town says  2:00 by your time.... best be going... about  20 miles to the south and  east are some  farms , The Osstic  have  packs  aroudn there ... if you do not care where the   game goes, there's an older Roussian  butcher  at the  north end of town..does  real good  job with meat and  hided  and  can cut out the bone with out much waste.

 The older   man Hands the    waitress  some paper  creds as they  leave the  building

Kira placed down the shot glass then looked to the team, "It's nice to sit down to a meal like this from time to time, also ive never seen Earth so whats it like aside from the shit storm you see from the news feeds?"

  Morgan  shakes his head,...the new  allied  groups  with   North Amaric  combining  helped America  alot.... England  along witht he scandivains... france  and  most of  Europe  except for  Russia  who has linked up with China  and N-Korea,,or what's  left of it, after the idiot  in charge blew the place up because he was dying, and didn't want any one else to 'run his country'

 South America  was oever run By the Run Lords... the Middle  eat m by Oil Lords and Africa  was split between  those who wanted Angels  help and those who did not..Aussieland  is in with England as always... Scotland and Irleand  are thier own countries, but  belong to the Atlantic  Union now. with engalnd and the others  i have Mentioned

  Morgan laughed  a bit...oh?  we'll be goign back to  earth , right enough... They aren't going to be happy to see us  coming.. The Oil guys, and the drug  guys... there's going  to be a whole new landscape if  we go there .. Those melon trees?  have been going   to earth  sicne we signed on  the delta  Planets?.. from what i here, 60% of the Sahara is not   a  rain forest, more or less

Kira raised a eye, "Oh i wasn't talking about earth i was speaking about the Occui homeworld sorry should of clarified that. I know nothing about Earth so this this is all new to me aside from what they talk about on the feeds"

  Morgan shrug as he was  about have way through his  meal. Never  seen Occua... or Sanra?  i know they are   somewhere close to  Pardise  system, That's who they came  to get captured by  the Empire  ships  in the Sol system..the Demons  captured the Ambassdors, and were holding  them, until they  could get leverage oin the homeworlds?..The The Hermes freed  the Sanri ambassadors, and that was our first ..good ..look at the demon  ship and what they do

Andre  brightened ..I'd like to  see  the Sanri homeworld...

 Morgan chuckles,at least the beaches...right?

Kira had finished her meal and set it off to the side before letting out a loud burp, "Sanra is a pretty place and of course... the beaches" she chuckled then heard a beep from her com unit letting her know the time, "We got about 3 hours before we gotta head on back, did we wanna stop buy a store first before we head back?"

  Andre  nodded..yeah? I'd like to get a neat  Knife to use as a boot knife, instead of a normal blade.

 ..nothing  wrong  with a good  combat  Dagger.. but...i wouldn't mind looking too?..maybe  find  some  kind of  wine or somthing to take home too?

Kira flagged down the waitress and covered the bill this time for the crew before setting out looking for a general store of sorts, "Wish they were a bit easier to identify but i think we found a winner" sshe said as she let Andre head inside first followed by Morgan and her.

 Andre looked around, he  managed to  find   some 'games". One game  he picked up  was a Roussian version of a  space  fighting game...which, of  course, humans were bad  guys.

 Once i  read the rules,, i'm gonna   see if the humans can win!

 Morgan  chuckles and gives him a pat on the  back, he looks  trough  some  'sports gear' eyeing  up  knives , but  non of them look  like they would be  much combat use.

Kira saw nothing of interest in the shop as she checked the time she gave a whistle over to the crew, "Pack it up, we gotta head home" she then made her way back to the shuttles to return for recall.
