To borrow an old movie quote, Roy's there to kick ass and chew bubblegum...and he's fresh out of bubblegum...*grin*

On a different note--I decided to re-watch an old favorite of mine...Bedazzled, from 2000.  Two observations...

1--Brendan Fraser was ridiculously under-rated as an actor.  The movie works entirely because of his ability to realize different and distinct versions of his character.  He's absolutely brilliant.

2--I had forgotten how absolutely stunning Elizabeth Hurley is.

::chuckles:: yeah that was a good  movie, My late wife liked it...and   E Hurly was ( still is?)  one of  my hollywood crushes.

Thr machinations of the  'wishes'  are good, but it makes me  wonder?..why doesn't the Devil  just give  folks what they want/need? he'd  have alot  more followers!

It's been a rough week for my wife already. We're getting some rather miserable wet wintery weather here in Virginia. Unfortunately it's also the week her job has her out in the field learning what the field workers do. I ended up spending the evening giving her snuggles instead of posting. Working on catching up now.

I am glad the weather here in ID has been pretty mild. Like it's cold but not super ridiculous.

Yesterday was just cold, but then in the evening we got rain, snow, sleet in varying orders and mixes. But not enough to really stick, or foul the roads up too much. Luckily the winter work boots my wife ordered came in yesterday so at least today her feet will be warm and dry.

The  LG   send fighters  down  to the Beach head?  or bring pilots up and they can  fly them down?

Its been  a while?..can the LG  enter atmo and get back out without help..

if it  can lad, it   should hand on the fare side of the Lake ( about 2/4 mile acros is the lake)..there  are Holding   areas on  either   side of the Lake, with the   beach head, north of the lake... Not usre how many fighters  you have. by the Hermes   wing will take what you got!

In reply to Admiral Hack (msg # 17):

They have been collecting and repairing fighters for some time.   We had conversation about what is carried earlier including how spares were parked along the spine of the LG.  The LG is a capital ship and cannot land.  The Immigrants Song, being shaped like a sub, has a flat deck and 4 hatches, 1 forward, 3 aft.  That’s 4 fighters it can carry on deck.  More if you don’t worry about interior access.  Two can be carried temporarily in the main hold, But removing them planet side is Problematic. Lift shuttles can load and unload f

We would have been on our way down before pilots were free to ferry making sure there were ships to prepare for the next heat.  The IS is more comfortable landing on water than land.  Takes less Precious landing space And can act as an auxiliary landing pad just next to camp.   Besides, Gavas like fishing off the side.

the Hermes 3  assault  shuttles   are at the beach ehad... the heimdall shuttle that came over to us is on the  Hanger Dec for emergency.

Garrat can land  and  come to the beachhead  and   collect some write offs  and  the ride-less jockeys  can get an aircraft. In IC  he can state how many he has.
