The county health department, despite the circus that was my experience trying to register online, has the actual vaccination process streamlined really well.  They attached all the paperwork to the email that confirmed your appointment date and time (and on the reminder email, just in case).  They're using the county fairgrounds for the clinic location...never left the car.  Check in at one point, pull up to the next, they direct you into one of the exhibition buildings, where you're guided to a berth.  They take your paperwork, as a couple of questions to clarify any points that come up with the paperwork, give you your vaccination card and information about scheduling the second shot, give you the shot, and have you pull into the parking lot and wait to see if you have any signs of adverse reactions.  From first check-in to starting my wait was maybe five minutes...really smooth operation.

Man...I'm gonna blame it on the vaccination, but I am SO tired right now.  My left shoulder is sore from the shot, and I'm not sure if the pains I'm feeling other places in my body are a reaction to the vaccine or just my body's reaction to being this tired.  Glad it's a short night at the theater.

most folks  said they had 'some  stiffness' after the 1st shot..the 2nd  shot be are down for the count.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to time my second one carefully.  I want to be done with whatever it does to me by the first week of May, because I'm going to be doing makeup on a show for a junior high theater program (they're doing the jr. version of Addams Family...LOTS of makeup in that show, what with all the ghostly ancestors, Lurch, Fester, Grandma Addams...) but we have the Asst. Lighting Designer coming to the park in late April to check out the stuff we've done (not sure why we get all the extra scrutiny this year, aside from the fact that the lighting designer kept using lights for the past four years in places that we told him they had trouble operating, because of heat issues, and then he got surprised when the lights started doing weird stuff to him...)

And while it's tempting to be out with whatever the second shot does to me during that time, I like the lighting contractor who's working as our master electrician too much to make him endure that alone...

you might not have to  board of a time to pick from.because it has a limited time to get.

All they said was at least three weeks after the first one, which would be Apr22.  I figure as long as I get it by the 27th, I should have enough time to recover from whatever it will do to me before I go into show mode.
