 I would be lying if  i was  to say i wasn't a bit  put off  about the way the RP  turned.... BUT...it  kept me on my toes, because i  was expecting  Izzy to be   trying to   'fit in ' as it were.

 Shadow isn't  backing  down without  some one with more  Brass up the line...in the end?  its good RP, even thought the  cause and effect thing  will be  rather   extented.

I was quite frankly nervous to respond like that honest. But nic's a bit of a stickler in some ways. Even if Shadow is nutz. Waiting on Roy to respond so he's gonna have something rofl.

  Never  be shy about posting, just  understand the NPCs have thier own thoughts  , and Shadow  is more PC the NPC...

I had originally written a longer post that was more supportive of Izzy...but my phone hiccupped and it disappeared and four more posts had appeared by the time I got a chance to write my much shorter post.

If Izzy had told Roy she was using the drone as proof-of-concept beforehand, he'd have run interference for her.  But since she was, as far as Roy knew, participating in an actual survival run, E&E principles should apply, in his mind.

And, the story about being dead if he'd relied on a drone?  Not made up, although nobody aboard the Hermes except for Shadow, Beth, and the top brass would know anything about it.  But Roy, Lyri, and one other sniper had an assassination mission that involved the Mull and Largran ambassadors...Lyri was wounded and nearly died even before you count in the fact that all three of them were very nearly chased down by an army of angry Largrans, and Shadow (and Lady) basically turned into a hovering gun platform to keep them covered until Stoly the Elder could crash through enough underbrush with the APC to retrieve them.

That was a nailbiter...I was about 90% sure we were gonna lose Lyri, and about 80% sure Roy was going to be right behind her, at least until the fighter started chewing up the forest all around us.  Then my estimate for Roy's survival went way up, but I was still pretty sure Lyri was gonna die until we got the APC back to base.  Stay away from stim gum, kids...*grin*

knew I had a BP problem about a month ago.  BP went low and my heart went beating like a hummingbird on crack.  I could not get it to slow.  happened 3 times so far since Valentines.  trust me.... scary.

 ::chuckles:;  that Mission was the first taste alot of  folks had with Shadow's 'side  job'.  we had  about, half  as many  fighters   for the  Hermes back then ( this was before refit).. and Shadow had to chose  between clokcing up kills  of   saving  crewmates, he never   thought twice... Frans was  just starting her 'turn around", and  wanted to help,  but was caught between Shadow ordering her to  cover the shuttle return , while he did  ground support.

 Raven and the  Harvester Pilots  came down to help knock the Mull  jets out of the air.

 I think that was the first time i made a major decision  for Shadow with out  dice rolls involved, i felt his  backround  would never let him leave anyone behind , let alone folks he was getting   close to... the other Sniper was a good player  as well, he  did a good  job in RP for that...damn shame we lost him to RL as well.

That was shortly after Roy threatened to shoot Frans for the sake of the Hermes...*grin*  We've come a long way since then.

Well they pulled all 3 BP meds at first (could not take any for 2 weeks), they wanted a 'clean slate'. Then after 2 different blood draws they put me on my second one alone.  apparently it was related to the first problem.  anyhow now I have to do cuff monitoring 3 times (laying prone, sitting and standing).

Fun times Nikki. I've had high blood pressure since I was 6 months pregnant with my oldest (who will be 16 this year). I went through several medications before they put me on a combo and that has worked beautifully for me for the last several years. I have a cuff too and still take it once daily just to make sure it still works.

My dad had high blood pressure for as long as I could remember...and died of a heart attack.  I'm past due for a physical, but the last few times I've seen a doctor, I was told my BP was on the high end of normal (but one time, I was drinking a LOT of caffeine at the time...like, four bottles of Mountain Dew a day, and the other two times, I was highly stressed because I was sick with something that I didn't know about for sure...the last time, I was also dehydrated and had been down with the flu for a week and had a migraine that, for the first time in my life, ibuprofen wouldn't even touch).

I know my oldest brother has some weird blood pressure and heart-beat issues (had a bout of tachycardia a few years back that had him wondering if he was going to survive the day)...don't know about the rest of my siblings.  I'm at that point in life where I really should find a doctor and start getting at least annual checkups, instead of relying on Instacare physicians who only see me when I've got some ailment or other that has me worried.

I'm glad they got your blood pressure issues back in hand, Nikki...that's some disturbing stuff to work with.  For all the attention that high blood pressure gets, low BP has its own hazards that nobody ever talks about...

 My Mom's side had it bad  with High Blood pressure  and such... i try to keep  active but its  a joke  compared to when i was working.

  I hear the  guys  talkign  one sunday as i was finishing , setting up the  field, they were talkign about CoVid..one  guy was a red hat 'its a hoax' guy... one of the other guys said.." what about Don..you want him to die"

 the  hoax  guy says,"..he'll never  die, he'll just keep playign football..but the day after he stps..he'll die!' and they all laughed.

:;chuckles::... when my Son's house burned down 2 years ago, he,,his  GF( who became his 2nd wife) moved in here  with all thier animals  and stayed  for  about  8 months... I have a  big house, both sides of a 'company house' that was  made into one big house.

 I saw warning signs from the wife-to-be. She drank wine heavy ( i warned her  about that)... she seemed to think my son and  kids were  'locked in' because they needed her.

 My Son, poor guy, did  what he could  to work through issues..( very poor house keeping, you add   way too many animals, witht he kids  almost being slave labor. Then end  came when  she  was  'goign out  with work friends' and posting  about  a couple Old BFs  on FB. there was another couple with them, but i figured that was the 'witnesses'..my Son caught her on the phone trying to  talk the brother of  an Old BF to leave his GF  for her!..and some of the  things she  said  about  my Son  was the  last straw.

 Now?... the  3 kids, My son and  the parakeet are here... we continued the  traditons of  Egg dye, we'll have easter  dinner and family egg hunt  with oldest daugther's  family here..The kids seem way happier, and my son seems less stressed.

 as i right this, my other grandaughter  stayed over  night, so? I have lots  of kids here, but they are all  happy and relaxed.

 the Moral of the story, I suppose, is having  each other's back... my son is  0 for 2, with getting  drunk/cheaters as wives...but?.. like spring brings the new fresh year...  this is  something  that will get better  as they move on.

 Had to write this... as many folks call me  and  text me about stuff...this seems the best place  for me to vent a bit!

  draw a  circle  on a  piece of scrap paper.  In the Middle  of the circle is  the ..Airfield

Airfield...we were  there  last time The Hermes had  shore leave.. there are Hangers, Barracks and  food  stall  set up for  visitors.

to the 9:00 of the airfield is the Lake and 'Larg Field' the lake is only about 200 or  300 yards away from the  airfield

to the 8:00 is  'larg field' and the tree  line  for the  forest-run

to  the 7:00.. way at the edge of the circle is  'Shadow Village'. where the finish line  is..it is roughly 10 Miles  from the airfield

at 11:00..about  5-8 miles  from the airfield  is    the  Town most folks visited

at 1:00 Is the Capital City  that is about  8-10 miles from the field

 People coming back from Shadow Village will be  coming  by APV to the airfield. People will then choose  to go to the town, or the  City, by hover  vans, or  shuttles

 the airfield  is also  where  people  will arrive or  leave  the planet, for the Hermes.

This has been bothering me for a few days... and please no one take offense. But if someone's going to bother to post and directed in and those around pretend they are not there with not even a tiny bit of attention, why post? I am not here to just be rping with myself, its rather frustrating that its like my character isnt even there in any interactions at all. But if thats how yall want it, well i can not stick around because its losing its fun. I dont care really if my char isn't talked to but some acknowledgement that his actions had some sort of impact would be nice. If it if's barely there. But it feels more like im posting to myself.
