Re: OOC  # 31

I always use this  , as  an example, because  its sorta the way i run the  bigger 'scenes'.

differant Camera Angles   , with  differant people, some of the people  who were mentioned in other posts  ect ect.

gives some perspective  of the whole   area, and not just one little spot that could be  'anywhere'.

That's why i will  'place' folks  some places, so the rest of the scene  can be  set...and the PCs  take it from there.

Re: OOC  # 31

It was fun.. it  was interesting as well, because i had to draw on  the  real efforts put  forth for a  wedding, then pare it  down  for something that could be done very, very  quickly, with out being   simple.

Using  the Captain's Motivational talents, and   Dana's 'officer of the rec dec' it was a bit easier to put things together  as it branched out...knowing what Henry wanted through his RP , without flat asking, made it fun to, as we  could lay out  'surprised'  and introduce  traditions...

some of the  small events  were out of place...but, i felt  like it made more sense the way   we did it ( I'm sure my Buddies  while  would have passed out in convulsions, had she read through the whole thing!)

But it was fun..i had a bit of practice  for Lizzy's  B-day party.

Re: OOC  # 31

Anchorage has had a pretty average summer this year.  cloudy touch drizzly at times (enough to keep grass green).  some glimpses of sun.  varying from 60-72 f. average...
Then last Wednesday.  All hell broke loose and brought its sauna!  we were warmer than San Francisco.  More sun and blue skies.  Nights were even hot.  Saturday the Holiday store temp near my house was 85 F. HOT!  HOT, HOT! Africa in a drought hot!  DID I MENTION IT WAS HOT?! HOT!" and that was at 4in the after noon.  It was 11am I checked my deck gauge and it was already 82.  Drought in Nevada heat wave went global.  I am taking a cool shower

Here's a interesting fact. When I lived in Az, my A/C was set to 84 in my apartment. :P But for you, 80s gotta be killer. Of course im in Fla so its 90s and the air mugs your breath away some days. And I am pretty sure Nv gets into the 100s lol but still, its hot either way.

Re: OOC  # 31

I would just about kill for 85deg weather right now.  I think we've had maybe five days in the last four weeks that didn't go over 95...June usually flirts with the high 80s and low 90s here, but we had about a week of 'normal' and then someone set the thermostat for late July and left it there.  All the reservoirs in the state are at dangerously low levels, and there's no break in the weather on the horizon.

I've got some friends who live in or around Las Vegas...they've been hovering between 110 and 120 for the past month.  I have a hard time holding it together through three shows that are less than a half-hour when it's barely 100, here, and that's with time during the shows to sneak backstage and stand in the AC during the numbers in the show for a few seconds here and there...pretty sure I'd be useless in 120deg weather.  My body just doesn't adjust to extremes the way it used to...

We are in high 70s now (she says calculating rapidly on her paws, don't think in farenheits...), and it's mid-morning.

Lovely... for me, but dearly beloved is grumbling already. He hates warm weather, but gets annoyed if I bitch about the cold in winter!

I hate being Cold...which sucked as a letter Carrier. Not a real fan over 'real hot". We played football yeasterday, and it was in the  mid  70's  with a breeze! felt like football season weather...

going to  be in high 70's  low  80's the rest of the week, that will be good for us.
