There was a nod from Izzy before she sent her reply "they're in standard formation, you'll need to ping the targets" she said, with the others detecting the pings within a few moments of her disconnecting the call with the Admiral then asking her to check up on Cummings and the Heimdall "Already done sir...Captain Cummings, I need a status report of your operation please" she said waiting to hear from the transport bases currently boarding the Heimdall as the trap they had wandered into was sprung.

Zob rolled his eyes slightly at the situation he was correct after all, "Admiral Hack sir what are your orders?"

   this road  heads up to that ship.... the   assault  teams  are here..in the  Compound..our scans  are showing   the damn  army they have  is  coming from the   south... there  is a clift that leads to the  river that , must have  carved that   crevasse.  They can't come from the west,  unless they over   run the  outpost there... Transport troopers   well be    to the west, and East..in ..maybe  10 minutes...that doesn't   stop the South.. You and your people will drop  down on that road.

  3 minites after the Shuttle Left, a ...less-then-happy Captain Si  stalked through the Hanger Dec Until she Found Morris  and  Hennings.. She glared  at the   both...Captain Morris looked up from his  Vidboard and pointed at Hennigns.

 Bryce   just frwoned and said...coward.  Morris smiled.

 You  just let the Fleet Admiral, go down into a Hot LZ, while the enemy is asking for Hermes people  in exchange for  a cease fire!!!

After scanning the area to see who was in charge she would speak to Admiral Hennings ”Admiral, Cummings reports that the Heimdall loyalists have taken control of the hangar dec allowing him to land his troops unmolested, there are also reports of fighting within the ship between loyalists and the captains men” Izzy said relaying the information she’d just received.

 Hennings  smiles,Thank You Ensign.. keep us  Up dayed, I would  hate to  destroy a whole ship, if we didn't have to.

 Those  fighters  shaped Oddly?...they look more like bombs then Fighters. Morris  says , as he watches  the   fighters on his Vidboard.

    The Pilots  were standing  By the  food table drinking   and eating  , casting glances  every few seconds at thier rides to  see if the crews   could get them back in the Fight.

  Roll  moved  back to the   scaffolds , so he and Gregror  would be out of the way.. he  felt bad he didn't get to go down to help.

    Art Moore Landed in the Middle bay,   he   popped the Cowlings  as  crew  ran with fresh belts...

 Sneak ran over  with a  Bottle of water  and a sandwich...  art   nodded to her  with thanks   as he gobbled and Guzzled.

   five  panels were off   Justins   aircraft in minutes   as   houses  were  pulled and new  hoses  were installed,    wires  for  flaps  cut   with new  wires    struck trough  while another Crewman   detached the old from the  pedals...  Justins  Belts  were getting loaded.

  Higgins  was  just  Getting in his fighter once  more  as he tossed Sneak  an empty  water  bottle, Giving the Dec Boss a salute, Higgins was  back out   and diving down.

  Rivets shouted...Kase!... 5 Minutes  an ye kin mount up!

 Mara landed   , Popped her  cowling , not bothering to get out, Sneak tossed her  a water   bottle  , and she Guzzled  as the  crew put in fresh belts.

 near the QM... old  belts  were checked , then oiled, then reloaded  and   stacked  for   'runners'  when  a pilot came to reload.

 Captain Morris  called up to Hennings  as he stood  with the Other COM Ladies..Looks like    people will be spending the Night  down there..... The Admiral will call for a Beach Head,  we'll have to set up Med tents  and   have  Miss Emmies transport replace our lost fighters.

Aye Aye Sir Five minutes. Justin replied promptly. Taking the opportunity to grab a sandwich and a drink. Wolfing three of them down and sipping at a goblet between each. Madison eased her skeeter into the hangar bay, placing it precisely on its marks. She reported her craft back in dock and gave her status to the flight controller. As soon as the exit clearance came through the comm, she popped the canopy and climbed down to the Dec. Backing away she got a better view of the overall damage. There were scorch marks in a few places but the armor didn't look particularly compromised. The problem looked to be the damage on the flaps, but the maintenance folks would run the full set of checks.

Until they told her she was good to go back she had time to kill. How much time remained to be seen, but she figured she was probably safe heading up to the Rec Dec. She glanced around at the activity. She felt bad going up to have a drink while all this was going on, but she would just be in the way if she stayed.

   Endre, B Flight's  crew chief  said.....Half  hour or less , Ma'am.. well  fil your  belts  as well.

 As   Maddy watched, with or Howe's flights  fighters  Landed, thier cock pit  Popped and Clwings  opened  as the one called Sneak ran to the fighter  and toossed the  Pilot a water  and a  wrapped  sandwich... two crewman were takign out   the  emepty , or near empty belts  and feeding in fresh ones.

 It took under  10 minutes   to load, as a fre pates of steel were melded  onto the  the aircraft where there where holes..The first one was, spinning  to face the  static  field , even as a crew man jumped off  from finishing a patch.

, Then it was gone... the second  fighter was almost  ready.

Madison returned to the Hangar Dec with her head on a swivel. There was so much activity and so many clusters of people it would be easy to miss the makeshift war room. As she continued out into the center of the Dec, she turned about as she walked, looking for the scaffolding. Of course.

"Madison Rae, you are a dumb ass." Under the scaffolding was the area she had already visited when fist came down that morning. There were tables and coffee, and most telling, the ladies who served at the Rec Dec. Shaking her head, she made a beeline. After grabbing her coffee, she took nearby a seat where she wouldn't be in the way of any war room activities.

  Beth saw Maddy  sitting near the  tables, Dana had  given her a sandwich . Gia Viennie  had  come over,  the   italian  seemed more then a Little  flustered.

 Those  fighters..they are the worst!..yet..they shoot me  up!. Madre... you would thing..i would shoot them all down..poof  poff, like that?..bit one? he hots  my nose and does the jamming of  my cannons... so now..i sit and eat  a sandwich, while others get to  kill the bad  guys!

 as that was Going on , two  frazzled ground crew folks came Over, One said to Gia...15 minutes, Ma'am, to  get  the  new guns reseated... Captain rivets  won't let you leave  with the old  gun, in case they are  'out-of-kilter '

  Gia  Nodded her  head  and waved her hand towards the  flight dec...Please..go fix  her, so i make  kill more of the bad guys...si?

The other  fellow  told  Maddy...about  10 Minutes , Ma'am.. the  steering  and Flap cables need  replaced..we're about half  way through

 Lt Ariv landed in her  Felrite Hunter.. she sat in the  cockpit  while her  weapons  were   topped off  and some holes patched.... she   drank down her  water, as  if she never  had  water  before

With a cup of coffee in front of her Izzy would monitor the Heimdall's comms as best she could, with nothing of any real importance having come through so far. She would wince slightly as Gia spoke of the air battle to a new girl she didn't recognise with her trying her best to resist the urge to ask after Lizzy, knowing that the chances of either of them knowing how she was would be slim and that assumptions and guesses would only worry her even more.

It was then that she would finally receive word from the Heimdall with her thankful for the distraction as she listened to the message "Admiral, Heimdall has been taken; two hundred dead traitors, seven captured and one hundred dead ESN troopers...Cummings says he's in the process of bringing the crew back up to strength" she said to Admiral Hennings, glad to hear that at least one problem had been resolved.

Madison smiled at the woman who dropped into the seat next to her. She was obviously not thrilled with the skeeters. "Hi. Yes, I just got here yesterday. My name is Madison." She offered her hand to the Pilot. "Shadow started calling me Maddy, so now everyone else is. I guess it's easier to say than Madison. Anyway, I don't think we've met. What's your name?"

Hearing the call out from above, Madison looked up to see Beth. Madison waved. "Hi Beth. When I left they were kicking some butt." She pointed at her fighter. "I took a few hits. Had to come back."

Madison looked back at the pilot sitting with her. "Sorry about that. No, I think I was doing fine. All things considered it could have been a lot worse. Yeah if they fix it in time, I'm right back down there."

Hearing the two crewmen approach, Maddy turned to face them. She nodded with a polite smile at the status update. "I thought it had to be the flaps. Thank you. You're doing great work."

"See, not so bad." she said to Gia. "Sounds like we'll both be back in the action soon. Cross your fingers."

 Beth  Smiled  and   gave   Maddy a thumbs up, then went  back to her  screen array .

 I am LT  Gia   Viennie.... i was  in the Etna  Uppers   wing of fighters..then...Etna was  a bad place to be a woman, unless you liked 'flying on your back".... That changed  when Admiral Hack arrived. Many, many  bad people died...The LC  signed some us of   to  The Hermes....

 she looked left and   right,i am sometimes..what they say...'wheel man', for Delta Nights... she winked  and gave  Maddy a  playful slap on the thigh..

 it is bad, as the war goes on..we  get  as many of the bad guys, behind us...as we have the bad guys  ahead of us...

 The Time  passed,  Sneak   came by, a please smile on her 'maybe' 20 something face, asking   Gia  and  Maddy if they need another  drink or sandwich

  a med tech  Van landed , Steif  and some guardians  ran towards it as the  Ramp came  down One   pilot  held   her harm, and  Stefi   pointed at a guardian to   escort her to med tech... the other  fellow's  voice   filled the  hanger with screams of pain and fear..They got  My legs..they were all over me..they got my legs!!!!

 Gia  Looked      over and across the   Hanger dec. Stefi  gave the fellow a sedative and waved  for him to go  back into the shuttle, the shuttle  took off  ...

 That was Petro  Linnstav..he is new person to? I think he was in Steve Howe's  flight..he must have  PODed out and the Bugs caught him...They are  sending him now, to the Med tech ship , that is where , worse cases go..

 another Crew man, who had a Vidboard , seemed less frazzled then the Others... LT?  Ensign? you may mouth up  in  5 minutes.. you're  patched ,  and  topped off and ready to go, fresh powercells  put in as well.

 Sam was listening to her comms, she watched what was going on around her on the Hanger Dec. Sam saw the new pilot sit at the table and Gia sat with her. Sam saw the shuttle land, and the pilot sent to the med tech ships he lost his legs. Sam lowered her head and then she got messages from Delta 3.

 Sam turned and said with a smile," Admiral Sir, Delta 3 has control of the space to the Port side of E-1. Two Largan Cap ships captured, 2 destroyed and 4 fled."

 Hennings  was watching the ground  combat. he looked overly concerned .  as  Izzy and Sam gave their   information,

 Rather  short bit of fighting ,  Unless they were worried they were too close to Etna...

 Morris looked up...maybe , trying to  distract us from the Planet, or even the Heimdall?

 expensive  distraction... they are going to need those  ships in a few days..they now have  4 less?
