"Coming in for a pass behind you, LC," Karl said, before cutting his comm.  "Ed, use the rotary cannon to go after any air defenses you pick up.  Play the minigun straight into the hangars, at whatever looks like it might go boom.  Angle the howitzer and pulse cannon for the first possible shot...if we're lucky, we'll hit them while they're looking after Shadow's flight.  I want HE in the howitzer, rapid-fire protocols..."

The AI affirmed the orders and guns swivelled on their mounts as Karl rolled the Morningstar into an orientation that would allow him a pass down the length of the ship, close enough to their hull to limit how many AA cannons could get a bead on him, with all weapons pointed into the Hangar Deck (with the exception of the rotary cannon...every time it picked up the motion of a gun pivoting, it tracked and fired a burst of ten AP shells).

Throttle open and the Angel ship getting REALLY big in his viewscreen, Karl made some minute adjustments...and as soon as he could make out motion within the Hangar Deck, he triggered the firing sequence.  Whatever the Angels had been expecting before, they'd been violently upset by the strafing run from the fighters.  They hadn't even had time to start sorting out the wounded when the first massive artillery shell rocketed through the static field and slammed into the back wall of the Hangar, exploding in a massive fireball.  The heavy pulse cannon fired as fast as it could cycle, getting four to five shots off between rounds from the howitzer, while the rotary cannon and minigun sent an angry buzzing harmonic through the Morningstar as they hosed rounds at enemy targets.

 Flores  , Kat , Machins, Elyse , Billie and Maddy  saw the  enemy fighters  trying to Muster   together  a defense..

Following her lead, Madison kept her loose formation. When they hit the swarm she picked the first target on her scope and fired with her 37s.

 Lizzy looked as she saw thousands of fighters and bombers," Ok Nikki, Stavros on me protect each other's ass and let's get these bastards no one gets near the Hermes got it. No screw yet ok Nikki until we know their formation, I will lead it when and if it comes, Nikki fill in Slowpoke about the screw."

 Lizzy would lead her group towards the cloud of fighters heading towards the Hermes, " Ok guys lets hit these fighters hard none get past us to the Hemes got it, lets show them how lowly humans fly." Lizzy will head towards those fighters coming in at an angle so they could get good shots on them from hopefully their blind side. As soon as Lizzy gets a bead on one she will open fire with alternating pulse and 37 mm, these craft seem to be made of tin foil.

 Meari was ready and had the AI troopers to jump down and kick ass as soon as they cut through the hull, it was almost go time, she saw the Angels getting their asses kicked but they would fight back this was going to be a rough one.

 Meari added over AI comms," Hell yes we take the engine room no prisoners, take them all out."

  it  took a book  ten minutes  with the  weapons grade plasma  torches... they   Cut  rectangles six   foot wide  and   10   foot  long.. the   outer plates  where     held out..    with some  fancy rigger, 'handles  were   made to they  could   set it in the passage ways  as a  blockade.

 where   second   plating  would  just be dropped ...  it was hard  doing  as the   Burner leaders  had to  scan the  hull to   find a corridor or  room. staying away from pipes  , wires tubing.

 The  three  burners  teams were almost in sync .P_lates  drop in...3.....2.....1   Opened!

 Larry  thumped his  tail as he looked at Rou, the tropers  at all three sites  were  ready.. mench  waiting to be told to go first, or last.

He looked around to make sure his orders were clear.  "When that hull section drops, Vaka, Zob, and Shade follow me in.  Nugest, you come in behind us.  Frakas and Lirg, lower the largs to Nugest while we cover him.  Once the largs are in, the rest of you follow in proper order."  Again, he visually verified, even taking time to look at Larry and Freddie.  They could probably jump down, but it would be safer to have a controlled descent.

He quirked a grin that could be seen through his faceplate, and heard in his voice.  "That's all assuming they haven't been smart enough to put fireteams in place to cover the breach, and start shooting as soon as there's an opening.  If that happens, we toss grenades in to disrupt their formations, and Larry and Freddie lead the way, jumping down and into attack."  He clapped Larry's helmet firmly, so it could be felt through the armor, then turned to the breach point.

"Stand by for entry...five, four, three..."  He stopped counting aloud at that point.  If there was fire coming their way, he didn't want his voice drowning out any indicators...counting the three had set the rhythm of the count, the others could finish the countdown on their own.  His hands flexed on his rifle, ready to go into action, as he waited.

  The Plates   fell  the    first plate with 'handle   dropped  as well...

 The Burners'  at all three holes yelled...GO GO GO!!!

 Frans   Fighters   were  Picking up   targets   now., every so often a One of the  Angel  HArpm II aircraft smashed  into the hall well behow  the  bridge.

With the absence of any fire coming out, Roy stepped to the hole and dropped in, using his knees to cushion the landing and immediately stepping aside to clear room for those following him in, his weapon up and ready to open fire at the slightest hint of hostile contact.  There was no chance of friendly fire in his position, so he was ready to shoot at anything that presented itself as a target.

 Meari got ready and waited for Lyri's orders before just jumping down.

 Lizzy hit all ESN fighter comms, " Hey we got some fighters to deal with heading to the Hermes but if anyone is semi free maybe hitting the 100's bridge or her thrusters to help out the Hermes, my group will be trying to do that once we clear these tin foil fighters Lizzy out."

Nikki had chased Lizzy and Stavros to the hangar bay of the Angel ship.  She came in low and from the left.  The slim line profile of the 'Skeeter' meant that with her guns just a few inches from the hangars dec plating kept her slightly hidden and allowed her a few extra moments.  using that she used in aiming.  Once firing began, she blocked the lifts by blowing up a crate of whatever was next to it.  Then she blew up a half filled shuttle, shame she had a perfect shot to its fuel cells.  More Angels died on the dec bleeding out from leg wounds and well.... being on fire.  "Oooh!.....I smell marshmallows!!" making sniffing noises.  making a short drop and turn she finished her hit and run, then took off.  She heard Lizzy call about the Angel fighters "About time." one could feel her smile through her helmet and canopy "Guess they might be pissed"

  Karl's  pass   sent  bodies  flying, either   diving  for Cover  or being   blow  across the hanger Dec.

   two  fighters  with their   dead pilots  were   Buring  as  a tracked  vehicle    tried to push them out of the hanger Bay door , closest to the stern.

 smoke was   gathering  towards the  top of the massive hanger as  pilot  tried to launch.

 Shadow and  He-La's   flight   were now  inside the Cloud, with Shadow   heading to the  wing leader's beaconed   craft.

 Roy dropped   down, wide  Halls red lights  flashing, no side  of  crew. COMs  were going wide  with  calls  for Med tech and Damage control. the boarders  had a closed   doe to  the port.... to the starboard a   wall... to the  south  an intersection. they  broke to the  starboard  ..or continued   to the Stern, with a Hatch way 100 yards  down range. to the North  was a hatch  way... and  another  door  to the Portside., about 20 yards  before the  hatchway....  Kira's mech was  helping   hand  down Largs   a  Net  would be used to pull them out

 The felrites , Gava  and  Morgan dropped  down,, they  had  an inter  section as well..but for them, Morgan  had to   grab the  plate  with the  makeshift handles  and  set it up  as   an Angel SEC team stumbled  through  the side passage( to the starboard) and began shooting. Morgan  grabbed  the  plate that  fell through, slamming it into the    wall to give them a barrier  there.. he  had to   start firing his  minigun, and  some crew  member stepped out of  the  hatch....and  died, before   shutting the hatch.

 One of the Angel SEC  was dead.. the other  4  were around the  corner  shoot  at them...

 The  largs   snarled .. Cross  said...Go..Kill..  they leaped over the   plates  , in 2 seconds  screams  of  surpise   were heard..but not for long.

 Morgan  said on the COMs..Sighted  by SEC and  some crew,,killed  a crew member  to the stern.. Largs  finished of the  SEC team.

 LT Cross said,who do we link up with.. I am certain there's  going to be more, we have plates  set up to defend out hole.

He will go for targets of opportunity, but will under no circumstances leave his wingmate.

 Meari smiled and said to the AI's," Ok you apes do you want to live forever, lets go!!!!" Meai went cold, emotionless killer mode as she would drop down and survey the corridors and then move forward and wave the others down, taking up a defensive position. She liked the idea she didnt have to carry anything to shoot, she had her gatling gun arm out ready for any enemy movement.

    Shadow, and He-La  wing  came in aggressively , like twin  spears into the Belly of a bear.. The Angels , in their   1000's of years, never  had  enemies  who  attacked like crazed  beasts..

 some aircaft  scattered, some try to fight..a few.....just died.

    Shadow     Hit the beacon craft, who swerved  away  as the   White  tail fin zipped  by..  the  moves  saved his  life for a Moment.. but the Hapless  wing man  died  under Shadow's weapons. at least  6 More  Aircraft   vanished in flames .

 Flores  called out  to Maddy...Comon Girl..get yourself some!

 Angels  did  fight back of course.

It was on. Pulling one of her signature high-G turns, Madison dove on the Z and then came up unleashing 37mm hail into the bellies of three Harps in tiered formation. As the cluster scattered, she fired a few pulse round into the larger craft beyond. She found clear space, then came around in an arc from over their heads and added insult to injury with another burst finish off any that weren't already dust.

"Getting everything I can, Candy." She said, as she penetrated the enemy's chaotic clusters with gunfire. "Seriously, though. I thought these guys would be tougher." She came up right on the tail of a Harp and gave it an ass full of pulse fire.
