Carefully taking a seat in the back of the BU so as not to wrinkle her dress, Izzy would hold Lizzy’s hand as her mind buzzed excitedly with thoughts of the ball, the night after the ball, finding wedding rings, finding a venue, getting married and all the things that would follow. Needless to say the combination of excitement and mind numbing terror caused her emotions to bounce all over the place in a way that threatened to turn her into an emotional wreck before they even reached the ball.

Once the BU landed she would offer Lizzy her arm once again as they disembarked the transport and headed for the couple’s limo, with her idly wondering how long it would take the assembled press and spectators to notice the engagement ring on Lizzy’s finger and put two and two together.

  The  Limo-vans lined up.. Shadow stood  outside  the   4 door that were opened on the  right  side as  ladies  Piled  in along with a  few  stary Guys.

 Roll waked uo to Shadow, he saluted..Mr   LC... can me and Haley Ride with you?

 First?  since you are  in uniform and saluting. Then You call me LC..at least when other people  are around...2nd..Go ask Nikki, is she Doesn't mind, then you may..

  Roll   saluted  and  tried to do a turn, it wasn';t the greatest  but he was trying. He   ran  down to Nikki, Mitch and  Haley...

 Miss  Nikki?  LC  says its ok  for  me an Haley to ride with him, if its ok  with you?

Slipping from the limo he followed the others into the ball. Looking around he searched the room for any of the AI.

 Lizzy held Izzy's hand and they traveled to the Ball, Lizzy was excited for the Ball and finally their wedding. When the BU landed Izzy and Lizzy got out and headed for the first Couples Limo.

 NA-CE and Vaka arrived on the Blue Moon, NA-CE smiled she was home even though she hadn't been gone that long it was still home. " You look great Vaka lets that the first Couples limo shall we." NA-CE smiled and Vaka and they went to the first couples Limo.

 Meari and Frakas made their way down to the Blue Moon, Meari smiled and they walked to the 2nd couples Limo. " You look wonderful Frakas, we are going to have fun tonight." Meari and Frakas then get into the limo.

 Sam and Zob landed on the Blue Moon and Sam said," I assume we can take the VIP Limo, or we can go in a couples Limo your choice Zob.

Zob took a second to think it over, "Will ride with the board in the VIP limo" with the choice made he made his way over to where the VIP limo was gathering with Sam.

Val won the argument about the medals and pinned them firmly on Henry ready for their arrival at the ball.

When they arrived, he handed her out and led her in. Mila and Larry followd behind.

  Teh first Limo Pulled Up,  Roy and Lyri stepped out   ,  they looked  around  before nodding  to the rest of the passengers.  The Board  got out ,Henry and Val  went  first  with Val,  Followed  By Zob and Sam, Shade And orria,  The Moris  and Miller,  Rivets  and Lilly  who was at  only her   2nd   ball! Hennings   with Emmie, Bale  and AZ-EL, The Admiral  with captain Si...Larry and   Mila    came out last  with Ry and Lyri closing up the  rear as the    vehicle    moved off..

The  Couples    Got out of the Next two ,  Lights  flashing off their  Decorations, Blue Maxes  and , for those that wore them, Cheerleader pins..

  There were   100's of  Blue Mon  Angels and Half  angels watching  The  Hermes   people  arrive Athena's  people had  arrived  an hour before, with ouyt as Much Fan Fare

  Shadow's  'party Limo' arrived. the  Doors Opened   , With   Girls and Guts   spiling out  with little or  no organization.. Only Roll  and Hely  showed  some  control as the stepped  out   and  walked like they did  the last  Time.

 what was Different this time, Was Shadow  got out, reached  back to offer a Hand to maddy    who  stayed on his  arm as he  waved   at the cameras  and   people shouting

Before any of the Hermes crew had arrived he'd danced with several ladies from the Athena. The Herme's ladies arrived in dribs and drabs, regrettably they were accompanied their own dance partners. After making several of futile rounds of the room; trying for at least one possible dance partner, he gave up the hope of getting a dance from the 351 ladies. Finding an alcove sat with his back side on to the ballroom and scrolled through the messages on his wrist com.

Billie smiled, always a little surprised by the fanfare that came with these things...along with all the prim and properness as Arnie got out of the limo (L2). But, then again, she also knew that there was fun to be had. When he reached a hand out to her, Billie gingerly took it and got out, immediately snaking her arm around his arm once she was standing. A part of her definitely enjoyed being his arm candy while the other part would never admit to enjoying the fancy dresses, glitz and glamour.

Sitting in the back of the Limo, Izzy would hold Lizzy’s hand and idly look out the window at the passing scenery in between sipping a drink from the limo’s mini-fridge and chatting with the others.

She still found the celebrity status bestowed upon the crew of the Hermes to be rather strange, especially from this side of the camera, with her knowing for a fact that as well as the official press that their would be a multitude of vloggers and amateur journalists watching and writing articles on everything from the fashion, their military careers and awards, to people condemning the blatant show of wealth and power that could have been used elsewhere. What could you do, there was no pleasing everyone.

When the limo came to a gradual halt before a length royal blue carpet, Izzy would finish the last of her drink in a single swallow before exiting the limo, with her then holding out her hand to help Lizzy out. Then with Lizzy’s hand upon her arm she would walk down the carpet with a smile fixed on her face towards the entrance, trying her best to ignore the crowd of people lest she get overwhelmed by it all.

 Lizzy just looked at the scenery of the Blue Moon, and smiled and Angel place they were not attacking that was awesome. Lizzy was excited for the ball, one to dance and unwind, two show off her body and fiancé and lastly to drive for Delta nights.

 Once the Limo stopped people got out, Izzy took her hand and helped Lizzy out of the limo. Lizzy then walked arm and arm with Izzy to the Ball area.

 Sam and Zob got out of the VIP limo and then followed the others to the meet and greet area.

Admiral Role came in  with his   XO as his  escort, Raven and   Redwater  came  with him as well as   Captains of the   EMS   officers  from his   flotilla .  There were Many  EMS Uniforms at the Ball, however  most of them did not where the   'Delta Fleet' Patch

    TE-DE and  CO-NR  Approached   Admiral  Hack and  Captain Si.. They Introduced a  beautiful  , Black haired   Angel woman she was  dressed in a longer Dress  then  Captain Si..


 Admiral  Hack,  Captain  Si. This is  NA-LE, she  is  the High Chair of the Blue  Moon.. we lost  the last High chair  when  EDT mounted  an assassination,,,

 The Admiral shook her  hand,   as  Did  Nil. NA-LE said..So very Nice to meet you... and Nil? that dress  looked  wonderful? IIt looks like you are more interested in Mating  then affairs of state?

 I have never had  an Affair? and  , as  all Angels , I am indeed   interested in mating.. However.. I am only interested  in trying to keep up with  One Human Male..it  can be  ...exhausting... her  catty smile , well aimed at NA-LE.

 all faces turned to Admiral hack who looked overly embarrassed...yes...well..um.. it  does  seem to be to  be  our  favorite pass time...

 The Angels  seemed  off  guard, Hack Merely  put  an arm around   Nil   and  she  kissed his cheek.

Madison's excitement grew as the limo rolled down the boulevard to the Blue Moon Ball. It was her first time at this storied event, and everything she had heard just made it all sound so amazing. It seemed strange though that military officers would attend dressed as they were and in a procession of limousines. It was if they were rock stars, but she wasn't going to over think it. When it was her turn, she stepped out of the limo and took her place on Shadow's arm.

"It's amazing. I'm ready when you are"

Zob fallowed along with the board and gave slight waves to others as he passed by them until they entered to the meet and greet area, "Never in all my years would i think id be attending a ball on the blue moon as a demon, strange times indeed" he said to Sam as he let Hack and them do their formalities with the angel leadership none of which interested him any.

VI-TR yes, My parents  were  the first Angels who were left behind by Paradise..  My father n says it was the best thing that happned....he also says the  first Time  the  hermes  arrived there  changed the  future of  all burians.


 Freena  smiled  at Zob...it is  very odd.. all these  aliens  and we have  a demon who fights on our side.  while we had to kill many of our cousins, who fought for the empire!

Well, Ms  Robertson.. Bura  is Lucky to have you. we are slowly becoming a power in our  Quad. I think that is  important  for the APF as well.. it is also good  that  the  Delta Fleet
  sends us  lost children to help bring  back our population.

NA-CE giggled then smiled and said, " Oh yes let us dance Vaka, oh dont worry my parents are already hunting me down, oh and do you like my dress Vake?" She then led Vaka to the dance floor and danced with Vaka.

 Meari chuckled and replied," Yes you did not, then lets dance Frakas, I am always honored to dance with you." Meari then went onto the dance floor with Frakas.

 Sam listened then replied," Thank you very much I try my best. Oh yes now that we took Paradise this sector will need you. Oh I also have children sent to Bura for repopulation and I can send some here as well if you wish, help build up the whole APF, we normally send human children and some Half Angels and full Angels as well."

Spotting Bell he decided to take a last circuit of the room for a possible dance. Figuring that Three from the AI is a good enough token presence.

I love teaching bad guys lessons my second favorite thing to do." Meari was gaining more control over her super killer programming, and she was picking sex over killing, well sex with Frakas, if she lost control with 85% of the crew she would kill them in bed, not a bad way to go though.

With Lizzy on her arm, the pair of them would pass the crowds of cheering people and enter the palace, with Izzy taking a moment to take in the sights, sounds and smells of the ball and it’s guests before turning to Lizzy with a smile upon her face ”Would you care for a dance?” she asked, feeling quite confident that her fiancée would be more than up to spending some if not all of their time on the dance floor, with Izzy already beginning to move to music in anticipation.

Madison accepted the Admiral's hand to dance. it was intimidating enough to be an ensign on the arm with the LC, but now dancing with an Admiral seemed almost surreal. But she wasn't all that easily flustered, so whatever anxiety she felt didn't show through in her dance.

"I actually prefer Madison, but the LC has been calling me Maddy since I stepped on board and I even catch myself using it. Please feel free to call me whatever is comfortable. I love my job, and I'm proud to be the LC's wing-lady. I think I've heard the term sword-maiden. It sounds awesome. If they want to use that for me? I'll take it. I'm still alive and a lot of enemies aren't, so I think I'm doing pretty well. And yeah, as for tonight? It's a new dimension for me, but I'm totally looking forward to it. I'm actually excited, and I want to do more than drive."

 NA-CE smiled she wasnt sure exactly why she was extremely turned on by Vaka, but she was going with it. " Really I am very interested as well, maybe after this evening's activities I was told about, would you like to spend the evening together figuring out how are two species react in the bedroom." NA-CE and winked at Vaka. NA-CE held Vaka tighter into her chest as she looked around for her parents.

  Admiral  Hack  chuckled , His  eyes  going  to His   Wife who danced  Proudly with the LC.we're never going to have children, Nil and I. The LC lost his  parents before  we left earth, and his Bothers  Family  a few years  later..

 So.. if  you  find a  connection,  don't be  afraid of  it, you'll never know when or if there will be another one.If it doesn't last? at least you have memories?

 If you drive  for the LC> you'll get you hands  dirty. and there is a good chance The LC or   SM can survive without  a  driver..but a driver is  good to bring everyone home.... you will also see  a darker  side of the  LC...and if there is  kids  involved.. those  you meet  will suffer more  then one  might imagine... either way? after  tonight, You'll find out how much of the LC you want in the future...humm?

 Flores   nodded  toward    Foster and His wife, they  just left the dance floor..Go  get you Dance with    Ono.... we have to   take Maddy for a Moment!

 he Looked at Maddy and  gave a Shrug.... They  dragged her Over to  one of the drinks  tables, and then  got the burian bomb berry  drinks....

 Flores  Handed Maddy  her  drink, Kat stood  next to her,  Casey stood  off  from them along with the Gunnersmate that brought Kat...Now? we  don't  have   the  pins  like these cheerleader pins..but we  are the Wing Ladies.. The sword maidans .. there have been others  who flew on his  wing?.. but we three are the  only  Wing Ladies   there have been... to Us!

  beth  watched with Roles  as    The LC  , First Asked  Foster, who motioned to Ono.     Kray approached  Ono and her  eyes  lit up and  a hand went to her  mouth.,, He  asked her  for  the dance  and her head nodded   like a teletype machine.. they  took to the   floor  and    the woman was almost crying.  Shado   smiled  and  spoke with her , and she  giggled    and  laid   her  head on his chest full on decorations..

 Ono  was a fine looking woman, but   the  pilots and  tropers who were  trained  and  fit, she  looked a little  'plain'.. Stepping onto the dance floor Izzy would place her hands about Lizzy’s neck and begin to move to what sounded to her like swing music, though the song and instruments being played by the band were unfamiliar to her. After the stress and horrors of the last few days it was nice to just relax within Lizzy’s arms and enjoy the music as it flowed through her ”I may have to keep an eye on you, I’m sure I heard a couple of people shouting your name out there” Izzy quietly joked with a giggle, recalling the people outside that had come to see their heroes attend the ball, with one of them being her fiancé ”I never realised I was being seduced by someone quite so famous!”

After the dance with Admiral Hack, Madison felt different. Before this, she had felt like he didn't even know who she was. Now she was someone of note. What she didn't know was whether it was all because she was on Kray's arm, or because she was  distinguishing herself in battle. Did she care? Before she had a chance to ponder it, she was intercepted by Kat and Candy.

After a quick redirect of Shadow, they pulled her over to a drink table where they had Burian Berry Bombs. It was a welcoming into a very exclusive club, and Madison was thrilled.

"Oh hells yeah. To US!!" She drank down the bomb, reminded of how delicious and how strong it was. As they drank they watched Kray dance with Ono, then shoot down a really sexy hot Angel.

"She was hot. But he knows who's waiting for him."

  The  Girls  waited  for  him .. they Had  Grins. he stopped  a few feet away...his eyes   went from one to the  Other..What....?

The mischief if Shadow's eye gave her a moment of pause when he pointed out the mercs. He wanted to cause some kind of trouble, but it wasn't clear why. Maybe there wasn't reason. Maybe he just like instigating. But the desserts looked good. She put a cherry in her mouth as one of the commanders asked her to dance.

"Nope, No thanks. I'm happy with my current partner."

Sam smiled and replied," That is a noble reason to fight Cob, so that your family is safe there is no nobler cause. We all have our skills, and the Admiral knows how to mesh and weave the skill tree to make a glorious ship with amazing comradery and respect for the troopers they fight with.  Lizzy did not see herself as an inspiration, she was here to fly and protect and kill bad guys that is her job, and it is a dangerous one. " Oh I am not a roll model it sucked growing up with almost the only cadet who lost their Mothers. Like Captain Si was for you and me." Lizzy laughed at that then got to her much darker past.

”Well I hate to break it to you, but I’m afraid you are role model babe…I mean you have an action figure for crying out loud!” Izzy replied with a laugh, deciding that as role models went they could do a lot worse than Lizzy ”…and you don’t need to be anyone’s weapon, you’re so much more than that” she continued hoping that Lizzy realised that she was far more than just a pilot.

At the mention of getting a drink and something to eat Izzy would nod in agreement, only to frown at the mention of her driving ”You could do that…but I could think of far more enjoyable ways of spending my downtime, especially after what we’ve been through, plus it seems such a waste of an Angel silk gown…” Izzy said as she slowly ran her hand down across Lizzy’s hip and down her leg.

After dancing with Lizzy a little while longer they would head over to the buffet table to get something to eat and a drink, though nowhere near as much as Lizzy, with her appetite being yet another thing “flaw” she’d come to love about her.

Shadow was stirring up hornets nest, but the hornets all seemed to be on his side. Raven and other came over to back him up as he instigated a confrontation. Madison had no idea why the scene was even necessary, but she wasn't in the habit of questioning things when an Admiral and the LC were being very deliberate. At least she hoped it was more than the simple machismo it appeared to be. And she wasn't just a spectator, in a brazen act of stupidity, the mercenary actually grabbed for her, as if she were some prize to be taken. Or maybe bait Kray knew the LY would try to bite on. What followed could only be described as a beating. As Shadow wiped the mans blood from his fist, she still couldn't say what the provocation was even about.

After the show of fisticuffs, they were back on the dance floor. She really wanted to ask what the point of all that was, but they were approached by Captain Morris and a commander. There was a suggestion that the mercs might be targets of the upcoming mission. How it all fit together was way above her pay grade. But the introduction to Commander Miller was perfectly understandable.

"Nice to meet you commander." She accepted Linda's hand. "Well, I guess I just earned that sword maiden title recently. But yeah, I signed up to be a pilot. The faster the better, so fighters had to be be it. All the shooting turned out to be a welcome bonus." The talk of Kray's declined promotions and other 'greatness' was a bit overblown, but surely mentioned to impress her. She didn't need to be convinced, but the bragging didn't bother her, even if Linda was doing it on his behalf.

"Yeah, it seems a lot of people are eager to tell me Kray Shadow stories. I'm pacing myself. There's a lot, it seems, to absorb."

    as they  got a drink, Shadow opted for a  cola.. and  a few  Bits of  'chicken'  strips. The  floor  got  blocked out   by Captain Muska,  An Apefolk Marine   with a massive   grin that showed his canines

 Shadow snapped a salute to the Captain  and  then  shook Wrists  with  himOnly took one? they don't make  wusses  like they sued  to.

 The  Captain slapped   Shadow on the back, that almost  toppled the LC.. Miller  laughed. Captain Morris   had a hint of a Smile.

At the drink table, Madison opted for water. If they had a mission later, she didn't want to jeopardize it. As she turned around she was almost startled by the large Apefolk marine captain standing there with his escort, another captain. She had never seen apefolk up close before. Captain Muska was enormous, and he apparently gave a powerful back slap. He exchanged some pleasantries with Kray, and the conversation turned to the woman's pregnancy. Then there were re-introductions and an introduction for her.

"Hi, nice to meet you." Not with cub. She saluted then shook wrists in the same way as she had seen the others. "Thank you. We do our best to clear the skies. Being on the LC's wing always keeps me close to the action."

 She then sad," Oh that would be great we have been getting bordered alot these jumpoffs, I got hit pretty good when the Angels boarded the Hermes I stood up to make a report when I turned to sit down I got hit three times, it hurt but Stef patched me up really good. I need any all-combat skills you can teach me but probably start with my pulse rifle and shotgun."

 Sam then added as she sat and ate," I heard through the coms, you, the LC, Stefi and the new Angel Med Tech saved Vaka, that was awesome thank you I dont know Vaka but I think he is awesome he fights for us little people." Sam smiled and raised her juice for a toast.

Zob gently returned the hug in regards to her injury indeed taking notice of the cheerleader pin, "Need to be careful can't afford to be losing good people like you, but yes i would suggest you start with the basics pulse rifle and sidearm and then go on from there"

He would take a seat at the unoccupied table in a chair next to Sam and grabbed himself a glass of the burian berry juice. It was far from his favorite but still decent enough as he returned her toast, "The med techs are the real heroes there if it wasn't for them and the LC's quick acting then he wouldn't be alive today... Same with both Lirg and Frakas" Although Zob played a critical role in all of their survival he downplayed it like it was just another day on the job.

”Yeah…sure they will” Izzy replied with a humourless laugh, suspecting her chances of being turned into an action figure were similar to Zob becoming a ballerina or Shadow declaring an undying love of Creshians. In short it wasn’t going to happen.

With Lizzy insisting that she wanted to be a driver for Delta night rather spend the evening with her, there would be a disappointed and slightly hurt look on Izzy’s face, with her recalling a conversation she’d had with Harry on the topic, needless to say Izzy didn’t care if they were short handed and would rather Lizzy wasn’t involved but unfortunately she knew how Lizzy could get and didn’t want to completely ruin the evening with a full blown argument that she would most likely lose ”ok…guess I’ll see if there’s a bar or something I can go to…just…remember we’re supposed to be getting married in two days time so…try not to get hurt too badly, ok?” she quietly said before taking a sip of her drink.

Sam then replied," Yes the Med Techs are heroes, but Zob I am a coms tech, I hear everything and I know you played a much bigger role and I thank you for it. You are a much bigger hero than you think, and Orria has told me so much about you. She is proud and worried at the same time during jumpoffs. You are a kind person who is trying to be a father and a warrior at the same time, you are a hero to me Zob." Sam then stood up and kissed Zob on the cheek and smiled.

 Sam finished her Burian Berry juice and said," Shall I get us more drinks?"  Sam stood up she was still moving tender with the hip shot but she was almost fully recovered.

What a drag he thought to himselfself. Heading to the buffeted he filled a plate found a quiet corner to eat his snack. Once done he placed the dish and cutlery with the other used utensils. Returning to the corner he sat and watched the dancers for a short time.

  Beth   snarled..You are pressing your  Merc boy.. and if  Shadow or the SM  see ne wave them over, your night is going to be wayyyy short..maybe shorter then your dicks!

 The  Captain Grabbed   Beth's  Arm  with a snarl,... Roles    Pushed the Captain But  Smuggins pushed  Roles. The LT Just  looked at Sam and smiled.

As the captains hand went to grab Beths arm Zob's shot out and grabbed it and he gave it a brutal snap throwing the man to the ground threatening to rip the whole arm off his other hand hovering on his sidearm ready to kill if they decided to go after Roles,Beth,Sam, "No means no bud if you wanna make this personal we can take this outside or if your stupid we can end it right here and now"

That's a  good  way to look at it.  We have some  folks who thought they  could go alone..never worked out  well.. I would go after  an assassin  if there was on the table..because   its sorta  even, but everyone else  you need a couple folks. Just remember this?... the two main goals  is to Kill the marks, and  find creds and information, if you happen to  keep a few  hundred creds for yourself, that's  fine..but the Big creds go to the fleet

Billie was having fun dancing with Arnie for most of the time, pausing occasionally to grab a drink based on Arnie's recommendations or a bite to eat. Otherwise, she gave herself fully to the music and the moment, clearly enjoying herself.

Madison winced at Kray's story. She didn't like the idea of blowing up a whole hotel for two marks. War was hell, but she felt like there had to be better way. But then again, she wasn't there. Thinking too hard about it would only make her crazy. She had to accept that she was trading bits of her soul for the sake of the future.

Unhappily, I am the last pilot to have  Flown, Shadow's  Lady, before she was assassinated  by The  EVOL, Jonny Blu..it was  fitting that  the LC beat him to Death on Bura..since that is were he Killed lady... I was also honored to bring the  DNA  sticks   that lady forced on me, so that   teh LC's  son and daughter  could be brother... both of his   sirelings have made an impact for the Fleet.

 Shadow just nodded  and motioned to Maddy  for her to return introductions.

Having fun in her own head with the phrases being tossed out, Madison nodded to the smalltalk offered by Fitz and NO-CA. Their statements didn't really demand much response from her. They were more talking to each other and to the LC, yet still she was the object of discussion. They didn't stay long, but were quickly replaced by another pair of angels, HE-LA and DR-NO. They introduced themselves, with DR-NO taking her hand as he told of how he was with Kray's ex before she was killed, as if Madison needed to know that. She was sure he was just offering a story, trying to say more than a simple hello, but no one really wanted to know their place in line.

"Nice to meet you." Madison gave her own introduction at Shadow's prompt. "I'm Ensign Madison Perry. You can call me Madison or Maddy, or ensign, as needed. I've actually only been in the Hermes for a few weeks, but I've been on the LC's wing the entire time. It's certainly been exciting, even more so in the last few days."

Zob took a sip of the juice, "It's more about technique but their is no doubting the basics as being effective" he said as he polished off the glass of juice, "Self entitlement most likely but a cutthroat is a cutthroat no matter how you try and sugar coat it"

 Lizzy looked at Izzy, " Izzy if I didnt like something you truly loved, I wouldnt run off I would try to support you the best I could or stay close in case you needed me. Maybe party at the Condo you wont have to spend credits at the condo. I mean we do have a room there right. Sam finished her drink after she was done replying to Zob and smiled at him. " I am ready for some more dances, I wont be as aggressive on the fast songs, my hip is a little sore."

Zob chuckled, "Well Sam ill be happy to tell you, you can have both and ill be happy to help with that" when she spoke of wanting to go for another round of dances he stood up and held out his hand to her, "Will move at your pace" he said as he made his way out to the dance floor with her.

Seeing how the first drink he'd sent the NFEMS Chief didn't even get a glance or raise of her glass, he decided not to waste any more time. Making one last circuit for any of the AI that weren't dancing.

With the next slow song, Madison went with Shadow out to the dance floor for a relaxing dance, but then another person rushed up to introduce himself. This time, though, it wasn't to meet her. She had to close her eyes so no one would see them roll as the Commander announced his own importance. Where did these guys come from? And his escort... what was her deal? She was walking around on this guys arm, but then openly giggles at his humiliation as Kray blew him off. If she had so little respect for him, then why were they even together. The whole episode was just embarrassing. She didn't like openly ridiculing people, but this guy literally seemed to be asking for it. She wanted it all to be over, but then Kray brought her in by showing off her Blue Max and asking her to deal with the numbers.

"Yep. Seventeen is higher than fifteen." She couldn't help look over at the pair. "Good job." She smiled at the still unidentified woman. She was almost there, but sometimes the enemy didn't cooperate with letting you kill them. And maybe this pilot will get blown out of the sky on her next jump off.

"Seriously commander, a lot of people are wearing these Blue Max awards here tonight. Maybe you should read the room a bit before making boasts." She wanted to taunt him about how he just ruined any chance of getting laid, but she didn't want to be too disrespectful to a superior officer.

well..you see    Roles and Raven a  few others.. they are EMS, but they  are allied to the Fleet..hence the modified  uniforms . The 'pure blood  EMS.. they are in for the creds... we'll see  just as many of them escorting  caravans, as  yiu will see attackign them. 

 I have to believe  that the  moons  used them , so no REAL  fighting ships would be wasted. The bad thing? creds as your   loyality, means    the person who offe4rs you more, becomes your  'leader'..  They say  , Back  on Earth when Captain Morris still flew jets.. a south amrican   drug/slaver  guy offerd  EMS  twice the  Creds the  ESN did, and the    pilots  chnaced  sides  right in the middle of a dogfight...From what Morris said.. No one , won that fight.. ESN limpd  home..  SA's  limpoed home , and the few  mercs that survived became rich..so? maybe they won... I'd like to know what happened when they landed to collect..SA's  are  nice people.

And now you say you want me to hang around in the hotel worrying about you, I’ve just spent two days doing that, before joining an assault team just so I didn’t have to listen to people shooting at you anymore” she continued, hoping that Lizzy would understand what she was saying to her.

With the tears starting to fall, Izzy would lead Lizzy away to a quiet corner where they could talk a little more privately ”what do you want me to do Liz? They don’t need an omni-comm operator, and they won’t let me help even if I wanted to” patiently said whilst gently rubbing Lizzy’s as she waited for her to gain enough control to talk to her.

Roy kept an eye on the various exchanges around the room.  Yes, it was supposed to be friendly territory...but they'd had someone try to put a knife between their ribs pretty much every time they stopped at a 'friendly' location.  "Looks like a lot of those non-Fleet EMS personnel are working on getting their asses served up on a silver platter," he muttered to Lyri, as they stood at the edge of the dance floor. The drink he was nursing wasn't even intoxicating, but it served as a distraction for those who thought they might find an easy mark.

"Wonder how many of them are sizing up the room and trying to decide if there's any way they could collect Shadow's bounty..."  Last he'd heard, the Empire was still offering a few million credits for Shadow's corpse, although anyone who tried to collect the money--if they survived tangling with Shadow--would likely wind up on a Demon dinner platter.

But money like that was awfully tempting for mercenaries whose only loyalty was their own credit balance...

Madison was still confused by the whole mercenary thing. If their loyalty was for sale to the highest bidder, then why would anyone bother ever hiring them. It sounded like a terrible business model to not honor commitments. And even if they were useful cannon fodder, why would they ever be invited to the ball. She decided that it was all above her pay grade.

"Yep. Let's just dance. These idiots are making my head hurt." She pressed in closer and let Kray lead her where he would.

 Meari and Frakas where having a great time, she told him AI stories and how they lost Hipper, and she listened to Frakas's trip on the saucer he boarded. They had been dancing for a while, " So shall we take another break for a drink then back onto the dance floor until the call is made." Meari was holding Frakas close, she then headed for the drink table.

As Lizzy held her close, Izzy would nestle her head against her shoulder as Lizzy said that she she would stay with her tonight, as she needlessly apologised for her mood swings ”It’s ok babe and…I don’t mean to be controlling and stop you going on Delta Nights, it’s just after everything we’ve both been through I just kind of wanted to spend a little time with you and…well…I…I just can’t spend another night listening to people shooting at you!” she said moments before bursting into tears as the strains of the last few days caught up with her.

Roy let a hand drop to rest on Larry's shoulder.  "Nobody's trying to knife us in the back here, I guess," he commented, jerking his head slightly down toward the larg.  "He'd still be stalking them, otherwise."

He gave a crooked grin, and added, "Unless they both got so busy scrounging for scraps and handouts that they forgot to check..."  He chuckled, rubbing Larry's scaly shoulder fondly.

Larry looked  up thumping his tail...Mil  swished hers.

 Shadow's eye looked at  hack  who nodded and pointed to the clock on the wall.Aye,  I will, One Dance, then I would like to be  off.. the temtation to send more EMS officers to med tech is...overwhelming.

  The High Chir  took  Shadow's  arm, The general offered His to Maddy.  Beth Gave the High sign to Roy..its  time to go...

 Lizzy held Izzy close and now let her cry, Lizzy know how she felt she always worried about her dad when he went on a mission. " No Izzy your right it had been a tough few days, and yes I would love to spend more time with you. "

 Once they both had control, Lizzy said," Looks like they are going soon, I will go tell the LC grab us yummy drinks I will be right back."


 Lozzy gave Izzy a big kiss and then headed over towards the LC and she would catch him after this dance.

 The general was  a much better  dancer they   the LC, but he was alwaso 700 years  or so older.I find it  curious  that Human males   have no qualms  about thier  woman fighting  along side of them, That is what lead to  Nil Si  being  temoved  from her fathers Podition. As she  took upo with that hack person.

Another partner change. A general this time. Madison decided that she would keep a journal. At some point she would want to look back and remember all the brass she had danced with.

"Not all humans are like that, General." Madison looked up at him, appreciating his skill on the dance floor. "Honestly, most human men instinctively protect women, even women that aren't 'theirs'. Kray is a different kind of man. He respects us enough to let us make our own choices and to do our jobs. He knows we're good at it. If he tried to keep me safe, I wouldn't like it. And that said, we do have a lot of female angels fighting for the ESN."

As Zob danced he noticed the sign that it was time to get going, "Its time..." was all he said knowing full well she knew what he was talking about and made his way to the door to get this night started.

"So are you providing backup like usual?" Billie asked as she danced with Arnie. "I...am still deciding on whether I want to be a driver or help with backup...or just leave it up to if I am needed, okay...if I am not...okay..." There was a slight frown that appeared on her lips but she didn't go into further detail.

Roy gave Beth a nod, gesturing to indicate that he'd come when Shadow did.  He didn't like the idea of leaving personnel without backup, even if Shadow was better equipped than most to handle himself in such a situation.

But there were still a lot of unpledged EMS personnel running around, a few of whom had already butted heads with Shadow, and plenty of whom would love to get a cheap shot at an unsupported LC Shadow as payback for what had already happened to a couple of their own.  If they tried it, Roy wanted to make good and sure they discovered that Shadow had plenty of support.

She hadn’t intended to burst into tears but after watching her best friend getting shot and medevaced, being shot three times herself, hearing in excruciating detail how Lizzy had been shot down twice and had to be rescued, followed by the horrific sights of the Most High’s saucer it had just been too much for her, with her subsequent argument with Lizzy being the tipping point that had set her off. She didn’t like arguing with Lizzy.

Unlike Lizzy who was seemingly able to snap out of whatever mood she was currently in and return to her usual bubbly self, Izzy would quietly sob into the side of Lizzy’s neck for quite some time, with her still sniffling when Lizzy said that she was going to speak with the LC before getting them both some drinks ”Ok Liz…I’ll wait here for you” she meekly said as she rummaged around inside her handbag for a tissue. Feeling more than a little embarrassed and hoping that her makeup wasn’t completely ruined, though the kiss they shared went a long way to assuring her that things were still good between her and Lizzy.

 Sam just smiled and then replied," Oh darn already, I was having a great time dancing with my amazing escort, but yes time for fun, I wish I could join you out there, but I will be listening." Sam then followed Zob.

 Lizzy waited till the LC was done with his dance then approached the LC and Madison, " LC sir if you havent heard Izzy and I are trying to get married on the 3rd day, and Sir you and Madison are invited. I have decided to take tonight off it was a brutal fight and I wish to spend time with my fiancé, I hope I am not letting you down, but I will be ready for the next one sir."

 Meari saw the sign and said to Frakas," Seems it is time to go, then after we clean this place up a little then, we have fun and relax Frakas." Meari and Frakas then followed Zob and Sam to meet up with the others.

 NA-LE was brought over ( much to her shock, To be  ;returned' to  The General). As Shadow  arrived   by the General and Maddy,  Maria  Appoached   in her   shorter  dress that  showcased her  well toned legs.

Roy gave Larry a thump on the shoulder.  "NOW I feel like I can leave, maybe.  C'mon, Larry...we're going to make one more round of the place, see if there's anyone on our side facing impending trouble.  If we're clear, we'll take our leave."  He gave Lyri a nod, and started off in a slow meander from point to point throughout the ball, targeting points where there were clusters of EMS adjacent to ESN, or where the two were mingled, his eyes open for any sign of EMS planning or causing trouble, checking on Larry to confirm his judgment.

 Lizzy nodded as the LC spoke and smiled she knew he wouldn't be mad but she wanted to tell the LC personally and she was glad she did. Lizzy responded, " Thank you LC, be careful out there, and Maddy be careful and be prepared even if you only drive, Someone almost got me killed on my first one, but Larry there saved me, I will never forget that, Larry is a true hero in my book. Now I am a driver and have had some fin and interesting missions."

 Lizzy gave Madison a hug, and whispered," Sword Maiden I here congrats, I have heard you might have turned the LC from a multi-player to a single player game. Just enjoy life that is why I am spending time with my love. Good night, be safe, and see you at Breakfast Madison." Lizzy smiled at the LC gave Madison a hug, and headed to the drink table, now she could drink she wasnt driving tonight.

 Lizzy ordered two Burian Berry bomb things, then headed back to their table she put the drinks down then gave Izzy a big hug," Izzy everything is awesome the LC said it was voluntary and he seemed happy I was not going, he heard about the wedding on the third day." Lizzy wanted to ask Izzy something but not so soon after her emotional breakdown. Lizzy figured you live by your emotions; you will die by your Emotions. That seemed Lizzy rolled up in a nutshell.

It looked like the ball was winding down. There were some goodbyes, but mostly see-ya-laters. There were a more than a couple invitations to the afterparty and the beach party. But there was also some coordination of those involved in the delta night. One of those coordinations was Lizzy informing Kray that she would be sitting this one out. Madison, of course, already knew about the wedding. Apparently, that date was imminent.

"So it's finally arrived, Lizzy?" She gave the redhead a squeezy hug. "Congratulations. I can't wait. Have fun on your night off."

Lizzy whispered a congratulations on her swordmaiden title, and a second for pulling Shadow off the market. Whether that was true or not remained to be seen, but she would indeed enjoy the ride while she was in the saddle. And there was a warning about the danger of delta nights.

"Thanks. I'll be as careful as I can be."

Lizzy ran back to Izzy, but Kray and Madison didn't get two steps before Sixx ran up wanting a dance. The junior Ensign gave Madison an apologetic look, but it was Shadow who controlled the schedule. He gave her a rain check for the beach. Madison found her reaction to Shadow's quip about her not being dressed more than amusing.

"If we don't get out of here, they'll have to have the delta night without us."

Not finding another dance partner he decided to see if what he'd heard about the extra formal doo's events were fact. Keeping an eye out for the LC, he spotted the WC macking his way from the ball. Catching up to the group before they left the event he introduced himself & asked if he could help.

 As LC, Maddy and a dozen others  got in the  hover limo. Shadow  said  to Brian..well we're going to the after Party at the Condo ... we'll see how the draw loks,, if you don't get in the first team. you canbe  with the  Back ups... Its been a while since  we did this on a planet..so we may need to send extra folks out.

By the time Lizzy had returned with a pair of drinks Izzy had just about got herself back under control, with her offering Lizzy a sheepish smile whilst dabbing at her eyes with a tissue "That's good to hear" she quietly said as she took the brightly coloured drink from Lizzy. She'd always known that Delta night was voluntary but it was good to hear that Shadow wasn't taking Lizzy not going tonight as a personal insult "...Also, I'm sorry about the whole...um...breaking down into tears thing, I know it's not how either of us wanted to spend the night" she then said in an apologetic voice and looking more than a little embarrassed by the incident.

 Lizzy had already done one of her 180 emotional shifts as she got back to Izzy, Lizzy smiled and in her wonderful normal bubblyself Lizzy replied," Yeah he cares about his Pilots Izzy I know that for sure."

 Lizzy held Izzy close and then replied," Izzy I break into tears every other day or less, hey we were both emotional after a very rough series of jump offs, Sam was hurt, I was shot down twice. BUT we are both here and now and here's to US Izzy." Lizzy clicked her glass with Izzy and drank down about half the drink and Lizzy had an evil seductive look towards Izzy.

 "Hey there is the Head Angel maybe she knows a place for us to have our wedding?" Lizzy of course is always impatient doesnt wait for an answer and heads over to NA-ZE and the General.

 Lizzy calmed down the drink kitting her a little, asked," Lady NA-ZE, Izzy and O would like to get married on your planet, Captain Si is doing the Ceremony, and Admiral Hack is walking me down the aisle, is there a perfect place for a ceremony that has flowers, maybe a gazebo, and a flowery arch Ma'am, or do you know of a place we could have the Ceremony at?"

  NA-ZE  Listened  to  Lizzy and she  nodded , Looking at the general. The general shrugged.

  There is the Chaple  Of The Sun.. it is small.  and neat the forests,,about  two iles to the  west of the Airfield  that sits  between  Your  Ship's hotel and  here. It has  a  Gard  with a   small reflecting   pool, the center is   a raised  platform of  stone.. t it can be accessed  from the rear...from the  back of the  chapel and  from the  west  arch way.. I think you will be pleased at the flowers   and such that Grow there. The Vita Bird  come and  eat  the berries, their song is most pleasing..

As Lizzy put a comforting arm around her, lzzy would clink her glass against Lizzy’s as she quietly assured her that she wasn’t bothered by her crying before giving her a look that never failed to make Izzy feel like the prettiest girl in the world, with her cheek turning bright pink in response, and needless to say putting her into a better mood.

It was then that Lizzy was struck by the sudden idea that they should speak to the head of the Blue Moon Angels about a potential wedding venue with her impulsively heading straight over to her before Izzy was able to say anything on the subject or prevent her from doing so.

Looking very much like a deer in the headlights, Izzy was unable to do anything but watch as Lizzy addressed the Angel Premiere followed her suggestion that they could visit a nearby chapel that was beside a lake and had a garden ”That…that sounds lovely, that sounds just like what we were looking for…what do you think Liz?”

 Lizzy smiled when the Head Angel seemed nice and told them about a place, Lizzy replied, Wow yes that sounds perfect doesn't it, is there a way we could see it tonight, or would it be better to see it in person,  and is there a cost for the venue, oh and is there a place we could get tables and chairs, music, and catered food. Lizzy knew she talked a lt but she didn't want to forget anything.

 NA-ZE  giggled a bit...ask a driver to take yu to the Chaple of the  Sun... its  a quiet place. we can   close it off  for  whatever day you decive...You can have th Admiral Contact the People in charge  and  things can get set up and   we'll settle the Bill before the fleet leave.

 Lizzy was getting excited, and she replied," Thank you very much, and we are trying for the third day Ma'am, oh is it to late to go see it tonight, is it closed or not lit up?"

NA-ZE  smiled  ..Dear Child? Chaples on The Moons never close.. people  coom and do at  their leisure ..you may go now, if you wish, there will be  some path lights and such?

Billie smiled softly and bit her bottom lip. “How about we go to the roof…that way if they do need us, we can be ready.” With a soft chuckle, she leaned in and kissed him deeply before taking him by the hand and leading him off.

The chapel sounded truly lovely the way that the Angel premier described it, with Lizzy seemingly as taken with the idea as she was to the point of wanting to go and visit it now ”Perhaps we should wait until the morning? That way we’ll get to see it and it’s gardens at its best” Izzy soft suggested, placing a calming hand upon Lizzy’s arm ”…also the birds are more likely to be singing…not to mention that these gowns are not the best suited to travelling in” she added before taking another sip of her drink.

  Lizzy smiled at NA-ZE and said," Thank you very much, I will speak to Admiral Hack in the morning."

 Lizzy was smiling and so bubbly, then Izzy said maybe wait till morning. Lizzy's expression dropped and she looked sad. " Oh ok Izzy, are you sure Izzy ever thought of a night wedding? Yeah chirping birds would be nice, also that is very true wouldnt want to ruin these dresses.  Ok we will go see it tomorrow, then lets dance until they kick us out ok Izzy."

 Lizzy smiled again, she was like a bubbly switch," Thank you so much NA-ZE for all your help The Blue Moon is a perfect place for our wedding thank you."

Truth be told she’d never considered a night wedding, however as intriguing as it was she could see a few flaws with the idea…or at least additional details that would need to be resolved in order to make it work how they envisaged it. However as bubbly as she was Lizzy had already moved on to other things having decided to wait until morning with her instead wanting to dance ”sure, I’d love to” Izzy giggled before turning to NA-ZE ”Thank you for your help, this means the world to us…we’ll let you get back to enjoying your evening” she politely said before taking Lizzy’s hand and leading her to the dance floor.

With the formal dances over the band had given way to a DJ who was currently playing an energetic song with a catchy chorus that Izzy couldn’t help but sing along to as she danced with Lizzy (https://youtu.be/75Mw8r5gW8E)

 Lizzy smiled and danced with Izzy," That chapel and garden sound perfect. Then we need wedding bands, our wedding party have Angel Silk dresses they can wear, the one Sam wore tonight was amazing. If we set up the venue and then we invite people, I did invite the LC and Madison, not sure if they will show up. I think that is everything and still on day 1." Lizzy smiled danced close with Izzy and gave her a kiss.

Moving to the energetic music being played by a DJ that was seemingly determined to keep the small crowd of people he had left dancing, Izzy would lean in close to Lizzy in order to hear her over the loud music before shouting her own reply ”and a bouquet! As for Shadow I guess it depends on whether he likes you more than he dislikes me!” she shouted, with a mischievous grin on her face.

Personally she didn’t care if Shadow showed or not with their mutual dislike of each other well known, however she knew that Lizzy would be wounded if he didn’t show so was willing to put it aside in order to keep Lizzy happy. Speaking of, it was at this point that Lizzy would kiss her, with Izzy more than happy to return the favour, even if it did cause the indecision as to whether to dance with her all night or drag her her away to quiet corner and tear off all of her clothes. As tempting as the latter was she decided to dance instead.

 Lizzy smiled and replied," Oh yes we need a bouquet definitely. I invited him and Madison we will see if they show up, and thank you Izzy." Lizzy knew Izzy didnt like the LC, she still didnt understand why, but she was very happy that Izzy was ok with it, Lizzy owed her life to the LC several times.

 They went out and danced some more, it was getting late, Lizzy nibbled on Izzy's ear and whispered," Want to head to the Condo check out the roof party, then maybe go have sex for the rest of the night what do you say my love?"

They had been dancing together for quite some time and it was starting to get late, or possibly early, when Lizzy, much to Izzy’s obvious delight, gently nibbled on Izzy’s ear and quietly whispered her suggestion on how to spend the rest of the night ”hmm…sounds good to me…I want to dance with you some more and then do other things to you…” she whispered back, snaking an arm around Lizzy’s slender waist and leading her towards the door, with her liking the idea of having another drink and dance or two before moving on to other…activities.

 Lizzy smiled and they headed out of the Ball and headed for the Condo, they got in line for transport as Lizzy was flying high.
