A look of disappointment would appear on Izzy's face as she was told that her date had been called to SEC "must you go?" she asked despite already knowing the answer, though it didn't stop her from feeling just a little disappointed considering how much she'd be enjoying herself.

Needless to say the idea of spending her evening waiting around in SEC whilst Lizzy dealt with whatever they needed her for wasn't exactly her idea of fun, but then again neither was hanging around in the Pulse or the Rec Dec by herself "ok, I suppose I could come with you, and I'll try and reign in the whole reporter thing" she said knowing that even without Tali that it would be a hard ask. With any luck it would be a flying visit and they'd be able to hit the dance floor, though if it became apparent that they were in for the long haul then she'd probably end up calling it a night and heading back to her quarters.

 Arnie  and Billie  walked in, the  Lights  were  flashing, but otherwise  dark inside, except for  small table lamps  and the  bar was rather  well lit....lights shown from the Kitchen's  swinging doors

 trhere were alot of folks in here, most  came here as soon as the   toast and awards were handed out

Billie looked around and grinned when she heard the music. "See...this is more of the stuff that I can dance to...but again...not wearing the right bra for that." With a laugh, she let him lead them to whether he wanted to go, wanting him to enjoy his time off. "Do I get to see more of your moves?"

  Arnie  looked   around at the   People,..to some extent... i am not here to show off,  But  I can do a little more then i did  before...

  the place had people, but it wasn't near crowded, ebing  the  time of 'night'  and the After  party going on

   He sat  at one of the tables  with her,..this place is nice enough, but  the  people  aren't always  in the right frame of mind.. they are 'party people'  rather then  Crew Members...

"I look forward to seeing it," she grinned with a blush as she sat beside him. "I have never been a big party person...but admittedly, I do enjoy those heavy beats. Call it a guilty pleasure." She looked down at the table as she shifted a bit. "Sorry if I am...awkward with this. I have never...um...well...this is all uncharted territory for me to the point that well, you were my first kiss...and I apologize if it was bad..." She closed her eyes shut and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she opened them again. "I guess...just...letting you know what you are getting yourself into?"

  There was a soft smile,..well.. to be fair, it wasn't my first kiss..but its my favorite thus  far? 

  ..I like   music..  this  type is good, gets you moving a bit..you can feel it in your chest...

 some folks   come up to the  OB  and  listened to music to get themselves lost for a bit... ot.. to  remember..or  to  regain focus... It will be a busy place tomorrow after   the send off..people  comign up to remember   those who have passed... and to try to  get a grip on thier own future?

 he holds up a  hand   with the finger in the air , as if to make a Point, looking at those who who are drinking  heavy.. or   hanging all over each other...alot of  folks can do that... they need  soemthing to 'help them'..but it becomes its own burden

 jerking his head towards the doors,..the After Party is good.... everyone, for the most part..blowing off steam.. laughing,  telign stories, all that?..yeah? there are  still folks who will drink until they are a Puddle...and  find other  ways  to 'forget'...but, that doesn't help you fight it..it only masks it... You can see the folks  who can master the  'control thing'..and you can see those  who become a slave.

 he raises  both hands    in apology...see what you're getting yourself into?

"I don't mind it honestly. I think it's a chance I am willing to take." Her smile was soft as she looked around the room. "Well since it's not too busy...care to show me your moves?" There was a grin as she looked over at him.

  Arnie gets  up and straightens his tunic,..we'll see how  much i can do.... can't  ley the whole thing show through though...

  hw  opens in cleoses his hand  for her to  come up with her, and m when the  new  flow of beats  hits them  her starts to   move slowly , picking up sped witht eh speed,  tossign in a   few moves that made his  arms and Legs look like water  as he  seems to move in all driections at once.

Chuckling softly, Billie stood up and moved to join him on the dance floor, not really fully dancing, instead watching what he could do. Her grin only widened and she shook her head. "Well shit...you got moves!" she laughed, unable to take her eyes off of him, surprised yet enjoying this side of Arnie. She danced a bit while watching him but it was very clear she was not giving it her all.

  when the  song was  done, some of the people  clapped..Arnie  gave an embarrassed wave  as he  sat back down at thier table  and  took a deep drink of his soda.

 he ordered  some 'chicken sticks' along  with Various sauces, for them.

 .. good thing most of these folks are new... they won't know where to find me when i'm on duty. there is an embarrassed grin.

"You are adorable when you are embarrassed," she teased as she sat beside him. "You are really good. Where did you learn to dance like that?" With a smile, she sat closer to him, reaching out and daring to hold his hand, letting her fingers entertwine with his.

  well? Unlike some folks on this  ship?  My Parents  were Loaded..my grandfather got on the ground floor of   'Angelfood' production  and then  bought tons of shares in the Steel marker, from offworld, Mars, Moon   Jupiter  and Satrun Moons..,, anywat..I got  taught  how to do alot of stuff like this..I was  suposed to be an Entertainer..but... i saw this  newpaper   thing one time  about some kids taking  down  Mobsters in new York?... and well.. Me being  from jersey?.. I had to get in on that..never  got to get mobsters, but  all thos etrainign classes i had  helped  me  in other  aspects  of  life...and..'poof'  here  i am.

With a smile, she looked up at him. “Really? I mean...I didn’t come from money but we weren’t hurting either. Dad made a lot of money. He was some kind of biomedical engineer? And mom was a scientist. They were very secretive with their jobs and we lived in some backwater place in Virginia, off the grid where they tried to shelter me from everything. Very paranoid. My growing up was just...very strange. The stuff I know...it because I taught myself it except for the standard schooling. I was allowed that.” She paused to take a drink from her soda. “You’ll have to teach me some of your moves. I can do some of the more complex footwork and such...it's hard to explain though. I'd have to show you.”

  Arnie  opened up his  hands in helplessness, then Grabbed a chicken  sticl, putting  some reddish green sauce on with a plastic  spreader.

 well?  Unless   we have More  Vampics hit us  with those   auger shuttles.. i should be around.. I keep trying to get in some  action, when the  'lights are out'..but i almost always get turned down... LC went to bat for mje once..they even turned him down..so?.. I'll Probly be around awhile.

She giggled at his choice of words, that 12 year old boy sense of humor kicking in. "I mean...I hope you aren't going anywhere. I would be crushed. As to trying to get in some action well..." She left it at that with a grin and grabbed a chicken stick as well, picking a sauce to spread on it, slightly bobbing to the music playing.

  Arnie  Looks   at her  as she gets  another   chicken  strip and tries   a purple sauce..

 ..you seem to be a bit fiesty tonight..big difference, from the first time you walked into the OB Dec. there was a hint of a  smile as he bit into the chicken

Blushing, she looked to her chicken strip. "I'm just very comfortable right now...and the alcohol helped turned those nagging voices off. I mean...I can try and go back to how I was if you prefer that..."  A smile came to her lips, knowing that it would be a challenge. Having him tell her that be liked her back helped with that feeling of comfort instead of the caution when one was testing the waters.

 he   grinned  as he said, ,..no?..this is better.. and  i can  see your eyes... a bit better  now  as well

 ..so?..  being from down  south and all?.. did you have ..like..REALLY  close cousins...he  chuckled a bit

"Pfft," she laughed. "No...didn't have any family other than my parents and they never talked about any extended family either." She gave him a small playful nudge. "So do you think I should join the football team?"

 Arnie  looked at her,..wow?  I don't know? I mean....can you play?  They hits for real out there? And, lets face it..everyone  wants to be the team that beats  The Hermes.

"I can learn and I do have the benefit of having to inject myself with that stuff to shut down my nervous system. I'm just going to need something to do when you aren't available and Shadow is going to start training me in hand to hand. I was curious on what you thought."

  Arnie     loked up at the   lights  for a moment then  to her as he said,we'll be in Everest 2  days form now, Give or take.. Don't know how much you can learn in 2  days, but  you could go to practice and see what happens and then you'll be redy for the next game...either way?..can't hurt..well..it will hurt, but you know what i mean.

"I will check it out," she smiled. "Would you be okay with that?" Even though he didn't really get a say in what she did, she didn't want him to be surprised by it or caught off guard. Hopefully he'd be supportive either way. Maybe Shadow could weigh in on this as well.

   Arnie   chuckles.Everyone  needs  an outlet..better to get beaten up on the field, even if only practice..then  hitting   chems or   booze.

  ..good   way to meet other   folks... there are those big shoudler  Civie guys who work the foundry, alot of them are  on the team.. Commander  Miller is the QB.. she's a bit of a head ass...but she'll go the diatcne if she knows you're trying....Dana's the wid eout opposite  Shadow... they tease  each other  who is the Best... Shadow faster, has better  hands, they  doth can block and run routes... but?  Shadows the NUmber  2  QB, so they can use him on trick plays...but?..when he runs those  plays, he looks for Dana.

"I always try...otherwise what's the point?" she smirked as she leaned up against him and laid her head on his shoulder. "I think that is the nice thing about being here...I get to do and try things that I was never allowed to do. So...you going to be my cheerleader than?" she looked up at him with a grin.
