Karl held back at a respected full (to Lizzy) distance as she confronted her father...it appeared as though the Sergeant Major was devoting plenty of attention to the captain, in a tone of voice Karl had heard from ground-crew chiefs who had just plain had enough of brass trying to tell them how to do their jobs.  Frankly, he was pretty sure there was nothing he could say that would be more threatening than an angry Marine sergeant-major.

When Lizzy turned away from her father, he extended an arm.  "You may not feel like dancing, but let's at least go listen to the music...looks like SM Spencer's got something in mind for him, if he's not smart enough to leave on his own."

He shot one last look at Captajn Maris, an I-told-you-so expression on his face, then turned and walked back to the party with Lizzy.

 Lizzy went with Karl, " I am so done with him, I am not thinking of him any more, Yes Karl lets just listen too the music. Karl could you please hold me." She just couldn't hold it together anymore, her Father had upset her so much. She held Karl tight and really cried, she just held him close and thought of him and the Hermes crew and not of her asshole Father.

 Lizzy then thought she wasn't going to let her Father win. She stopped crying and then said," Lets just have fun and not think of him, I am so glad you are here with me Karl and I hope I am not stepping out of bounds here but I really like you." She will then kiss Karl if he lets her.

"Try it pal! Because it's going to be amusing seeing you try and give that order without any teeth!" Harry snarled as the jumped up fool tried to pull rank on her. With his daughter having already declared that she wanted nothing to do with him there was nothing holding her back, with her completely uncaring as to whether she ended up in the brig as a result of her actions, though she suspected that there wouldn't be any witnesses despite the number of people present.

It was just as she was about to launch her attack with what was lovingly referred to as a "Glasgow Kiss" back home that Roy would signal for her to back down. There would be a moment of hesitation, with Harry looking from Roy to the Captain and back before reluctantly taking a step back and adopting an at ease stance with her glowering at Captain Maris as she did so. An attack dog held back by the thinnest of leads.

She would let Roy deal with the situation, trusting him to do what was needed with the level of brutal efficiency for which he was known, after all there was a very good reason why he was head of SEC.

   Admiral Hack Looked at Si, then to Kira,..Is He Now?...

  Si's Upswept  eyebrows,   furrowed to a V As they looked at the People  around  The Captain...I suppose  we  shoud go  see...

 She was a step ahead of  The Admiral  as they  left, Hack  giving Kira   an squeeze of her   arm , nodding  with a   slight  smile, before he left.

Shade  Rattles off some sounds,   explaining  some things  to her, then see  Shadow get up  and slowly make his way towards the  'good Captain', as he  saw the look on  Captain Si's  face... his eyes  studied the body language  of Roy... , he saw  Lizzy   turn away..he  saw Harry..back a step away  as she looked from Roy to   Maris

 Will came back with drinks ,  to find the spot  empty  as Zob, Melia  and  HArry all left.

 Shadow glided upo the nearest  stair  , movign past peopel who were sitting  and  eating as they watched the people danced  and Listened to the Music.. he  would smile, shake a HAnd, but  kept  moving

Roy answered.  He stepped in, grabbing Maris by his good hand and twisting it sharply up behind the man's back as he pushed the Captain forward, down onto his knees.  "LC Shadow, would you be so good as to remove this man's weapons?  I'd hate for him to try resisting arrest and wind up stuck with his own sword." Roy held him in a kneeling position, right arm. ranked up behind his back, until Maris was disarmed, then hoisted the man by his collar (and arm) back to his feet and proceeded to remove him from the proximity of the field.

"You're getting off easy," Roy said, as he steered Captain Maris away from the party.  "I had twenty-thousand credits ready to lay down on Shadow beating you in dogfighting...or I could have pressed the issue of attempting to incite mutiny.  That would look great on your service record.  Of course, I've still got connections...I can make sure there's official mention that you were arrested for disorderly conduct and insubordination but the Admiral chose not to prosecute.  Either way, I'd start looking for contact information for Ambassador Frans, because I've got a sneaking suspicion that your days at Fuji are numbered.  Of course, if you go to Olympus, you better work on developing a taste for human flesh...the SSN makes all their captains eat babies to build a stronger bond with the Demons.  And you better like the taste of Ambassador Frans' ass, because you'll be kissing it a lot if you want to stay alive there."  He continued pushing, Maris' arm held right at the verge of dislocating the shoulder or snapping the bones in the forearm, steering him around the perimeter of the Rec Deck and toward the ramp.

With Captain Maris being escorted away Harry would return to where a confused Will was standing with their drinks, with the look on her face saying that she still clearly furious that not only had Captain Maris insulted among other people Shade but that she hadn't been able to dole out the beating she felt he'd deserved "Dammnit! I so want to hit the hard stuff right about now!" Harry quietly growled as she took the glass of soda from Will, the look in her eyes softening slightly as she looked up at him and softly spoke "make sure I don't please baby" she'd promised that she wouldn't drink and she was determined not to break her word because of one asshole...she just need a little assistance at this point in time was all.

Kira watched with a satisfied look as the Captain was hauled away before returning over to Morgan, "Sorry about that Morgan" she said grabbing another drink from the table, "So shall we pig out on food or hit up the dance floor some more?" she asked giving him the option.

 .The Chefs   from the Admiral's mess , along with  three bakers from the Rec  Dec..built this  cake..it has  14  flavors... and  around the  edges  are Burian fruit  syrups to  drip over top.. Happy Birthday, EN  Maris!

 Then Lizzy's attention was drawn to the Admiral and then Captain Si as they mentioned the collection for the kids was mentioned. Finally a huge smile on Lizzy's face, she wasn't her Father she cared about everyone especially the kids.

 Then Lizzy watched and heard as a cake Mantis is lowered down. OMG Lizzy thought it was amazing and it was Captain Si, finally there wear tears of joy on Lizzy's face as the cake really touched her heart.

 Lizzy almost seemed like a faucet when it came to her emotions, she went from hate and anger of her Father, to joy and happiness. Lizzy really smiled at Karl and said," We will continue that kiss later, if you would like, I have been summoned Karl."

 Lizzy would make her way up to Captain Si and her amazing cake. Lizzy smiled at the Captain and didn't care about protocol, she walked up to her and gave her a huge hug. " Thank you Captain Si, this is amazing." Lizzy was full of happiness and joy even after the incident with her Father. She saw him being removed but she was serious at least for now he was just a idiot Captain he was no longer her father in her eyes.

 After she hugged the Captain, Lizzy walked over to Chief Post and said," Thank you Chief absolutely amazing." Lizzy waved at everyone and then walked up to the candle on the nose of the fighter and thought of her wish, so much was going through her head, was seeing her Father's true self the sign she asked from her mother. She made her wish in thought," I wish for to be part of something special and to meet special people."


 Lizzy then took a deep breath and blew out the candle, and yelled out," Everyone eat CAKE!" Lizzy just smiled as she watched them cut up the cake as she stood there next to the nose of the Mantis cake.

Kira looked to Morgan, "Lets get some cake!" she then ran over to get herself a big slice of cake.

 Morgan looked at the  'fighter cake'..it was  20 feet long..4 feet high..and   7 foot  from wing tip to   wing tipe... The bakers  tried to have a 'red head' in the cock pit, and had her   number on the tail fin... and  'kill  dots ' ynder her name.

  the  bakers asked  what flavor.. there was a   board  with what flavors there were.. mostly 'earth flavors" ,, But  Burian Berry....Sanri  Slice..and Occui Berry  were included as well... there  were  bowels of   berry   syrups  for  people to ladle  on top the  cake

 Morgan  settled on a Sanri Slice....

 others   got   chocolate... and  peanut butter..as well as  the normal flavors.

  The  two Admiral had  cake  with thier Ladies.. Bale   and   Miller   were trying to decide. while letting   crew man ahead of them Civies we're havigng a great time

"Yeah" Melia agrees catching Roy leading Maris out of the party. "Well at least the  main problem is gone," She states.

"Yeah self discovery, and even just understanding emotions are difficult." She says as they continue to dance. The more dancing they did the more comfortable she'd started to feel. Though the rushing sensation hadn't really left her. It wasn't terror, or fear just a rush.

As they continued to dance he listened to her speak about the emotions, "I have trouble sometimes as well being of both worlds... being around humans these many years has really helped my understanding" he said making mention of such things.

At that point the cake had come down this caused Zob to stop for a moment, "That... is a interesting cake... shall we get some?" the surprise was not lost on his voice.

Karl's grin at her offer to continue the kiss spoke plenty about how amenable he was to the idea, but he didn't say anything, just followed after her.  He was just the date, so he stayed distant enough to let her be the sole focus, until the cake got low enough to recognize.

"That is one hell of a birthday cake!" he observed, leaning over slightly to speak in her ear as his arms slipped around her waist, hugging her from behind.  He held her loosely, and when she charged ahead to get into the cake, her let her move freely, again following her at a short distance.

Kira went and got herself a slice of Occui Berry, she grew up on Occui fruits and really enjoyed the taste as she sunk her fork into the cake, "This cake is yummy..."

 Lizzy was so happy, and it felt good when Karl held her from behind, she liked it a lot, a real lot.

 Then after she blew out the candle, she moved to Karl and said," That is one fucking amazing birthday cake, I love it so much Captain Si went all out, shall we get a piece my dear Sir." Lizzy will walk with Karl on her arm with a huge smile on her face and wait in line. She will let a few kids cut in front of her and she smiles at the kids with a true love of them in her eyes.

 Lizzy was going to have fun and enjoy her party, she honestly didn't care what happened to her asshole of Father, she figured the SM and the LC would take care of him. She didn't want to think of him right now, she wanted to have fun, enjoy her party and enjoy Karl's company.

 Lizzy will get a Chocolate piece and bury in blueberry syrup, she kept looking at Karl and she had a real happy smile on. At this time she will look for Harry, Will and Abby to make sure they get cake as well. She will just stay with Karl and she will eat her cake.

Nikki went and sat with Haley in a 'quiet table' as Haley ate a large sugary chocolate cake with a chocolate drizzle.  Nikki opted for a smaller piece of plain vanilla with like a nuts in syrup drizzle on it.  She did her best to make sure Haley kept smiling.

The abrupt stop caused the distance between them to close and Melia bumped into Zob stepping on his other foot, causing her to curse and then, "I'm sorry..." As she cursed herself, for not paying close enough attention. She turned and looked at the cake, "Wow look at the size of it... Um sure, I'd like a piece." She says making a note of Orria working on getting Shade to get a piece as well.

Zob chuckled, "It's alright" he then lead them over to the cake he settled on a slice of Burian Berry, "Cake has never been one my favorites but its ok to have some from time to time" he said taking a fork to the cake and taking a bite.

Melia took a piece for herself. "I like cake, but not too often. If I have it all the time it just kinda spoils the idea of celebration in my mind. Really other than shakes I don't find myself eating sweets all that often." She explains dipping her fork into the vanilla bread under the chocolate icing.

Zob had more or less devoured the cake in just a few bites, "I do enjoy cookies though... snack on those all day every day" Zob chuckled as he discarded the paper plate.

As Harry tried to convince herself that she much preferred Cream Soda over Vodka she would watch in awe as the cake was lowered down from the ceiling "oh my god...that...that is amazing" Harry spoke in a stunned voice, before looking up at Will with a grin "come on lets go grab a slice before it's all gone" she said before taking him by the hand and hurrying over to the cake, dragging him if she had to.

It was as she was awaiting her turn to get a slice, studying the different flavours on the board with child like glee, that she would see Karl with his arms about Lizzy causing Harry to feel a sudden spike of jealousy towards the Captain, Come off it! Did you really think she was just going to hang around and wait for you to feel like a little girl time? Besides you ended things with her remember? a voice in the back of her head quietly pointed out causing her to wonder whether she had been perhaps a little hasty in ending things between them quite so soon...
