Smithson Grabs a bad as they enter the shop.we hear stories..we see vids..sometime s someone will hear something on the Rec Dec. Some  folks think we're  moving ahead,ok. But it seems Like things  are closing off behind us. We get less and less contact from Earth...and Olympus is shaky, to say the least....

     Joseph digests this for a moment.  "Well I canna speak for everyone but a lot of people are getting fed up with the EDT throwing their little temper tantrums about people not bein fair to the demons then goin and makin the demons look like kittens by killin an capturing civilians themselves.  I just hope the people stand and fight on the home front.  Delta fleet has their hands full out here.
     Whether I like it or not, there are no more independent Merc groups that I can trust to help me with what I want to do, and my wanderers blood won't let me stay in one place.  The Hermes needs to be my home.   I've managed to save some lives since I got on the Admirals bad side and I think it won me this hand."  He holds up his military grade prosthetic "If Hack cares enough to even know I'm back on board, he'll be waiting for me to make myself useful, or waiting to flush me out the airlock if I don't."  \\

    Joseph starts unpacking the espresso gear "Either way I don't really care,  I'll do the best I can and it will either shine or it won't."

    Joseph checks the security measures on the shop. "Okay Blue eyes, the Hermes is a combat ship.  When bad things go down, women and children usually hide in a bunker.  Guys are usually dumb enough to stay with their business'.  I don't want this to be any different.

   "If something goes south, you need to be able to tell SOLV what's going on, but I've sunk all that I am into this place.  It's my new beginning and other than revenge for my niece, it's all that I have left.  If a Demon boards and want's an espresso, the bastard is going to have to pay for it."

    Joseph gets on his com unit "Hey Bo, you still on board?"

   Joseph shuts down the com and turns to Mandy "Ya might want to freshen up.  I think we might be battening down the hatches soon.  Ya okay with this?"

   He looks to see what the shop has to protect it from Demons

 She  shrugs,..I suppose  so...i don't  have much choice?.... I'll take a  quick shower, then help   sort things out,

 she ehads  Up the starts  with her  Bag, Looking at the 'house' feel of the building.

Civie Section - Rush Apartment - Orange Alert!

Ajax and Sam rushed up the steps and inside. "Grab whatever you need babe!"   

Ajax changed into his MechRider Suit and grabbed his ready bag of items he used in the "Liberty" Mech cockpit, setting it by the door.

Then he helped Sam get her stuff together.

  As she gathered up  clothes  and her  stuffed animal, she frowned and said,can we  watch CAptain Lighting and the heroes  of  The Black? its  coming on  soon...we can leave when the  alert comes?

  running and Jumping onto the couch she turns on the  Vids. there is a commercial about   Delta Fleet Action figures and show  kids  having battles  and staging some role ply with their Favorite figures.

  there is a teaser for the new   collection , coming out soon... one of the New releases ( in store today!)..is the  Detla  Fleet  play set. You  can get a  God Class Cap ship, or Hero Class Cap ship..inside  are deaclas  for  ships  of that class, so you can make your  ship, whichever one you want.

  inside the ship are 100 HO scale   figures , painted to look like pilots, Marines, sailors  and Civies.

  You can buy more packs  of 25 , of  other races and  or  more of a special type...
 also sold  seperatly are shuttles , APVs and  even  little Mechs, that 'sitting down' figures  can  ride.... Fighters of all types that  figures  can go into

 and you can get a Demon, LArgran of Creshian Cap ship that  has   HO figures of their races...again...separate packs   for  fighters, armor and  extra figures.

 when the commercial is over, a heart thumping   bass hits the screen as   three fighters zip through the black firing at  Demon ship,  as  the Camera tunrs to see the Fighters coming ehad on, they all Peel off  and a  God Class CApship comes into view.. The ESN Tarus  13.... and  the Music   plays  at is shows  Captain Lighting on the Bridge..then moves to  the   Nav officer and shows   a few piltos  and ground  pounders in their   armor...

 Todays episode,"...cracking the code..."

Ajax watched, more interested than he had expected.

  Sam m Nodded holding her  stuffed  animal close...they just have the Little Mechs  now...wait until you get famous, then they'll make the  big ones that the Bigger  action figures  can get in....My friend  Liona? she  ahs a  the ones this  big.. she holds her hands  6 inches  apart,They Move   and everything, and they are smaller then the    Bigger ones, so they don't take up as  Much room...

 Her and my other  friend  Tia? they have  BIG fights in school, because at play time, Tia  wants Shadow to MArry the Hannah Figure...But   Liona wants him to MArry the Beth figure...... Tommy..he's Tia's friend, says Mr  Shadow will never get married because   he's too much a Pilot?..what ever that means?

 then  the show  started, and Sam fell into the  whirlpool of the carton. The CGI  made the people look real, and there was a lot  of harsh scenes, but in this  day and Ages, it was thought better. for then children to see it, on their own terms,  so the enemy could use it as shock value....Not the Sam hasn't seen anything worse.

  During the show, the Ship was  attacking Three Largran Pirate ships, one was a transport for colonists slave, while the other  two were escorts, But The TAurus  bared  down on the  them as Captain Lighting  took control  on his  command Chair.

  ..I want the Fighters to attack the red Stripped  Vessel, The Taurus will attack the  Yellow striped one...then...we'll board the  white striped slave vessel..

 the next few minutes  was  full of action scenes, with the heart pumping  theme  song in the back round  of   brave men and women getting ready to Fight.

  A smug, Cocky fighter Pilot, Lt Star was smiling as he walked  to his  fighter. Many decals on the side of  his Hammer as he Mounted Up, waving at some of the  supporting   characters.

  There was  a Occui in an ESN  uniform of a Captain, he held Vidboards   and was shouting to  the Pilots to  mount up and get out.

 A stern Looking woman in heaver  armor was shouting to her troops  who were forming up on a stylized version of  a  Stoly boarding shuttle.

 Her eyes  wide   Sam peered over the head of her   stuffed animal,That's LT Broadsword...she is  realy mean to the bad  guys...and she  yells alot  at the other people..she's is  Captain Lighting's  right hand man..they say....

  A man and a woman stood near an odd looking set of frames...  Broadsword went over to them  and  was taking in a firm  manner,You best have those  things  ready....because were firing them off, whether you'er  ready or not...at elast, they may Damage the Hull!

 The Man Looked  Bummed out , but the woman stood up and  looked at Broadsword,"You may not Like the Mechs, but they have helped the   teams before...we  just..well..need  more firepower is all...

 Broad sword  cross ed her   arms  and sneered,we'll see.... last time we  fired you off, one of you went  for a ride, toonk a damned Tender to find you!

   You'lls  see...we'll cut that can open when we launch...

 As she  saif the Last word, three dozen fighters took off from the hanger  Deck...

 Broadsword   yelled,...Load Up...won't be long now!

 the  two Mech  Riders stood  near the crew chief, an Older man dressed in orange  as  he watched the Mechs get ready.. Thin arms  and legs the biggest part of the Mech was the Oval cockpit. a small gun on each shoulders, a simlar Gun on the left hand, right hand 'human-like" a Light  on the top of the  oval, the spindly Mech moved   quickly to a small chamber  at the stern end of the Hanger dec... a Gunnery crew was standing there.  when they reached the camber, the     Mechs  folded  around the cock pit, and they were loaded in the  chamber like  large cannon rounds..the woman's  mech went in first, the Man's  Mech was on a loading  slide..ready to Go.

  a SGT in charge of the  gun called up,..Mech Launcher  Loaded....

  the camera  came  back to  Captain Lighting, a dark smile on his face,Time to show the Lizards  what Humans can do....LIGHT THEM UP!

   The Fighters  split into two wings, One  came across the starboatd  side to rake the  Guns of the largran ship, the other  did the  Port side, they would cross over, firong at the bridge and work their way back, doing  the same to the engines....if  fighters came out,  each would wooudl split again, half taking on the fighters, while the rest whittles away at the ships


   The Tauras bore  down on the other LArgran ship  that was trying to  give the slave ship a chance to slip away, the  Big Guns of  the  ESN ship  fired, Blowing  bits of  plating intot he Balck...and Unnoticed  were  two mech's  fired  at the slave ship... coming in  hard, unitl they were about 500 yards  away, they opened their  arms and legs, firing the   limited  jets they had  to slow themselves down... stiil, they slammed into the  side  pretty hard, and their  Boots In hands  caught  Hold....once on, they walked  across the Hull to the place they were to Cut through...the   shuttle craft   sneaking in from behind.

 then...a commercial....

 CGI versions Of Shadow  and  SGT MAJ  Spencer sat at a table eating  Pizza and drinking  a certain brand of soda, around them,  people  were fighting , getting blown up as  Spencer and Shadow talked about  an Upcoming football game..then a creshain smashed into their  table dumping out their   soda's  and crushing the cans..Shadow picked up the  can and said,..hey Spence? They crushed all of  our Candy Cola!

   The CGI Spencer shook his head,when are they gonna learn..not to push us too far... both men jumped over the wall shooting and  yelling , the camera closed in on a tight shot of a crushed  can"...CANDY  COLA...WORTH FIGHTING FOR!

 then some  more pictures   and  slides of happy kids  playing with ESN  action figures.

some of the Commericals are funny?..but i wish they would just   show the action!..OH!..look! a Beth  figure and you can get combat gear for her!

   Joseph takes a break from assembly to send a request to security for his Walthur hand pistols.  "Just got back and it looks like it'll be a wee bit of a hornets nest around here.  I would sure like something to shoot at the bad guys with."

..sure thing...if the red Lights Go on thought, I'm making her go down into the shelter... he  was on the street overseeing the  'lids' being  put over the soil where the   trees were planted.

  people were taking reuses Container  off the street and  Locking them in  the Metal Boxes at the   front of their Buildings.

 Ajax watched the "Mech launching" in disbelief through his fingers.

"Whew... that parts a little too real. ..I hope they can cut inside fast enough!"

  The Commercials Over  the Battle Joined  in earnest ... Flashing explosions followed by  screen shots of   various  characters....

 Lt Star and  some of the Others    shooting  down LArgran fighters  as they  focused on shooting up the  Guns on the Largran ship... explosions inside the  ship as they hit their  MArks.

 Now and then an ESN Pilot  would be lost in a  very big  explosion.

  The Taurus  Pounded the   Largran craft, that was trying to help the slave ship escape, Views of the Taurus being tossed around, but the few return shots, that hit in Return.

 On the Slave  ship the      Two Mech Pilots  began Cutting holed, after finding their  marks,  the Shuttle was close behind them

 It hovers  100 yards or so behind, ready to  open the boarding hatch and dock..if and when the Mechs did their job...


Sam was engulfed, she would  twist and turn with the fighters..shift  this way and that as the  Taurus as hit  , and ;leaned forward as the Camera showed intense looks on the  Mech Pilots as they  worked to   Get the Hole cut.

   Joseph returns from SEC and nods to the Land Lord "It looks like your my CO.  How many hats DO you wear?"

  Smithson just chuckled,...The Hermes  can't waste  fighting  folks to see  Us. Guess they figure, if the fail we'er all dead  anyway? Still they  help us the best they can..and..some of these folks will be leaving to go to a colony? so they best know  how to get ready for a fight.
