    The espresso shop was open and Joseph was serving and playing as Mandy made the  drinks.  Business wasn't likely to be much but after the fear and tragedy, the frailness of human life would be on people's minds would want take time with those they knew, realizing relationships they had been taking for granted.  Comforting drinks and soft guitar music would be welcome.

  a few of the folks working on the 'park', come in to take a break. With Mandy  still on the  Rec Dec  for another hour, Joe MAc   handles   the folks by himself.

  Sam, walks  down the street a bit with her 'stuffed up' animal, most of the other Kids are helping   at home, trying to put  stuff back together  that may have been shaken in the battle.

 She sits on a bench by a tree, watching some of the  people who are  tamping down the grass and  soil.

   Mandy returns  'home' after her  4 hours  on the Rec dec, she feels   tired, but has a small smile.

  ...I...earned   some  good tips. The LC tipped me , more then  his order was worth!...I...I have some  credits  to put towards the shop?..if you would Like.  she smiles   awkwardly,..i...like..having a real job..I get to work there  for 4 hours  more, tomorrow.

   Joseph makes her a capiccino.  "keep them.  I think you need a little girly money for now.  I'll introduce you to the main computer wiz on the ship.  She's a kind girl and a good person to have as a friend, she may even be able to help you use the info you have to hurt the EDT more."

   people  were coming and Going, some  stayed  for a bit, others sat and chatters...some  got  drinks to go.

Jack feels a little out of place in his bdus as he strolls down the street.  The section has been cleverly designed to look like a city street with assorted shops and residences and even a small park.

Noticing Daisy's lolling tongue, he looks around for a place he can but them both something to drink.

Spotting a coffee shop, he walks over and enters.  He stops briefly just inside the door to look around before approaching the counter.

  The coffee shop part is in the front of the building, the back seems to be headed somewhere but hasn't gotten there yet, it is superficially hidden behind a tan cloth.  A Very short man stands on a stool making lattes.  Gentle beautiful music pipes in through a  sound system.  between orders the man picks up  a flute and plays with it adding greater depth and harmony.

Making her way from a call to attend a couple of sick children she caught sight of a Malinois as it trotted along beside a Marine. Pausing she snapped her fingers at a though. Hey Marine she called waving at him as she quickly moved towards him Are you and your friend busy...

Jack grins as he looks around the coffee shop.  It seems like a cool place.  Music in the air, barista playing along between customers.  Now, if they hava a decent espresso...

He has just started towards the counter when he hears someone calling to him.  Well, he thinks it's to him.  There aren't any other marines around that he's seen.

Turning towards the source of the voice he is surprised to see an attractive young woman waving at him.

"Names Jack.  Or Corporal Jamison Murdock, if you want to be formal.  This is Daisy.

"What can we do for you?"

Ominarah gave the Marine a pleasant smile. Ominarah Musashi. she replied casually extending her hand in a friendly manner. I've just attended some ill kids and was on heading back to the Medbay when I noticed you, or rather your Belgian Shepherd. I was wondering how friendly she is around others...

"Yeah, she always gets all the attention."

He takes her hand, giving it a quick shake.

"As long as she's not on combat alert, she's very well-socialized.  Why do you ask?"

There's no sense of suspicion in the question.  Just a sincere desire to know what he and Daisy can do to help.

Nodding pleased at this reply she offered the back of her hand to the dog, allowing her to sniff it. Would you mind if she helped distract some ill kids with a visit.

"I think she'd enjoy that.

"But on one condition.  You have a cup of coffee with us afterwards."

He smiles at Ominarah as Daisy sniffs interestedly at the young woman's hand, her tail wagging happily.

Humm... not sure about that. she ponders. If you make that a brew you're on. she amends crouching down and ruffling the fur just behind the Malinois ear. So what's your name beautiful.

"A brew it is then."

He grins.

"Daisy, shake on it."

Daisy sits and raises her right front paw to Ominarah.  She tilts her head, looking at the young woman expectantly.

Taking the dogs paw Ominarah smiles as she gives it a shake So Daisy can you make a cuppa as well. loosing the paw she tickles it behind the ear once more then rises. This way if you please she comments leading them to the Civ Wards and the children who are bed ridden.

Jack taps his leg, calling Daisy to heel.  Smiling he follows Ominarah, Daisy trotting happily along beside him.

Assuming Jack and Daisy had limited time available Ominarah moved from ward to ward introducing the children, allowing them a short time to make friends with Daisy.

Jack stands back, having told Daisy. it was free-time.  He watches her carefully as she meets the children.  Daisy's tail wags happily as she moves through the ward.

He also finds himself watching Ominarah.  Admittedly, he had agreed to come along primarily iin hopes of getting to know a pretty girl.  But watching her in action, he was truly impressed. with the way she dealt with her young patients.

Arriving at the last room in the children's ward, Ominarah glanced at her watch  noting the time, which showed there was about ten minutes before the kids lunches would be arriving. She introducing Daisy and Jamison to the children then quietly she mentioned this to him.

By the time they had finished visiting the children, Jack had found himself caught up in the sprit of it.  Answering questions and telling stories about working with Daisy, he had found the visit to be much more enjoyable than he had ever thought it could be.

When Ominarah whispered that it was near the children's lunch time, Jack was actually disappointed at the thought of leaving.

When they had stepped out of the ward, Jack smiled at Ominarah.

"Well, since it's lunch time, why don't we change that cuppa to lunch?

"Surely there's someplace quiet around here where we could grab a bite?"

In reply to Jamison A. Murdock (msg # 210):

Her shift just ended Ominara was a tad peckish, nodded. The Only places I know which serve meals are the Mess and Rec deck your choice.

Jack smiles at her.  After a moment's consideration, He nods back.

"Rec Deck, it is, then."

He strolls towards the Rec Deck with a spring in his step.  Daisy, sensitive to his mood walks as proud as a show dog by his side.

    Garrat swings by Joe's Coffee and soon to be hobby shop with Clara.  He suggests an "outside" table under the lamps designed to mimic sunlight.  Things were fairly calm as people went about their daily lives.  Is joe in? What's Clara eating?

  She  settled on a  a couple slices of pizza ( because Dana   suggested it) She  will have   a coffee with crème and Sugar.

 ..I...I thank you for this. I was  worried  about the PG  for a long Time...when i talked to Ajax he  was real nice..so i trusted  him  with some of my thoughts.... Its Bad enough  if  we lose  Billy... but to lose  Ajax as well...
