There was a derisive snort at Abby's claim of giving her a boppin "in your dreams little fish" she softly spoke as she made herself comfortable "...and you're welcome, it's what big sisters are for...I think" she murmured before slowly drifting off to sleep.

"Don't you dare use all the hot water up!" Harry called in the general direction of the bathroom as she meanwhile made something that kind of resembled scrambled eggs in the little kitchenette.

Still dressed in her nightie had volunteered to make them breakfast, using it as an excuse to test her leg, with her finding that although she wouldn't be running anywhere that she could walk on it unaided. After sending a quick message to Will asking if he wanted to join them for breakfast, promising that they were both dressed and neither of them were crying, she would divide up what she was optimistically calling scrambled eggs on toast.

   Maria  answered  Harry  on Will's  COM, her voice  was  low...hey... Will is...um..alseep on his Desk... he  doesn't have   duty  until 1600.. Lyri said to let him sleep..or?  until an officer  comes in?.. I can wake him if you want?

 Abby came out   rather  quickly, she had on her  sweats  and Tank top.....so?  yu guys goin' tyo that Birth day party?

With Will fast asleep at his desk Harry would roll her eyes before replying to Maria's question "No let him sleep, if he does wake up however tell him it's safe to go home and sleep in a real bed" she said with Abby entering the room moments after ending the call, asking whether or not she was going to the birthday party "Yeah Lizzy would be wounded if I didn't turn up" she said with a laugh, signalling for Abby to help herself to a plate as she does so "...what about you? Are you going to make an appearance?" she asked digging into her scrambled eggs after adding a bit of black pepper.

    Abby Nodded,..I'll go for a bit, I guess .... still don't know too many people.. and..well... seems  like alot of them  don't like me ...

 she looked at the Salt.....this Astra  Salt?  Astra  salt is good for your eyes...

"Dunno...I think it just came with the quarters" Harry responded with a shrug, she wasn't the best of cooks and as such either ate her meals on the Rec Dec or let Will do the cooking. As such nearly everything within the tiny kitchenette was what had been here when she'd first moved in.

With Abby bemoaning her lack of popularity amongst the other pilots Harry would offer her a friendly smile "Well, hiding in your quarters isn't going to improve that now is it? Besides Lizzy will be happy to see you there, I get the impression that she rather likes you...though to be fair she likes most people" Harry said pausing to take a sip of her tea before continuing with her breakfast. She couldn't cook to save her life but she could make a mighty fine cup of tea!

 Lizzy walks out of the Lift and smiles at the guards, she says," Good morning it is a wonderful day to be alive isn't it. Thank you by the way." Lizzy will then head towards her quarters, she unlocks the door and heads in. She had almost three hours to get ready, and she also had to Comm Melia to do her make-up, that wont take too long, she will do that when she was all ready.

 Lizzy then took out her Mom's picture, and she wished she knew her more. It was hard to miss someone you never knew. OMG she thought she almost forgot she always lit a candle on her Birthday for her Mother. She had to find a candle and find a place to light it. Who would she ask, who could she comm. Then it came to her who else would know besides the Captain of the Hermes.

 Lizzy got her Comms out and COMM VOICE: Captain Si:,once she answers she will say," Captain Si I am so sorry to bother you but I always light a candle on my Birthday for my Mother, I need to find a candle and have a place where I can lite it and let it burn out and not cause any problems Captain, I know this sounds trivial but it is important to me Captain." There seemed to be some panic in her voice as well.

  Si answered teh COMs,... we do not  have  temples and such  any longer..the Chapel  is a Gym now..if you have the right  container.. yhou  may burn one in your  Quarters..there are no other  places right now?

 Lizzy listened and then replied," Thank you, I will find a container that will work and light one in my Quarters I have until midnight tonight. See you at my party Captain Si. "

 Once Captain Si responds she will end the call, and then COMM TEXT: Karl; ," Hi Karl I don't know if you heard my Father is throwing me a Birthday Party on the Field. I was hoping that maybe we could have a few dances and I was wondering if you would like to be my Date for the Party if you want to that is?"

 Lizzy was on a roll she felt like she was in High School again she then COMM TEXT: Harry:
" Hi Harry I am in my Quarters getting ready for my Party, YOU are coming correct, and I hope we can dance as friends, oh how is your leg feeling , and I hope your Sister Abby will be there as well. oh I just asked Captain Karl to be my date at the Party." Lizzy laughed at the text , it felt like a High School text as well.

 Once the texts where sent she would get undressed and then shower with her special flowery shampoo, she wanted to smell her best at the party, this shampoo went well with her Perfume she was going to wear.

  Sarah's COM rings,Captain McKeon? There is to be a bit of a birthday party, for Captain Maris's  daughter  on the football  field, the Board is goign to make an appearnce, before adjorning to the Admiral's Mess  once more.. would you care to come

 Captain Si  waits on the  answer.

Sarah had been working on the roster and narrowing down her staff prospects. She sets aside a file labeled Robertson, Samantha for further consideration.

She checks  her comm. I'd be happy to join, is there a specified dress or attire for the event?" She replies

While Lizzy was showering, her comm lit up with a response...

"I'd be honored to be your date for the party...but I'll apologize in advance if I sound off to your father.  He and I have already exchanged words once since he got here, at some length.  If he tries to push his position, it will happen again, because he's just flat-out wrong on a myriad of issues.  But, for your sake, I won't start anything.  See you at the party!"

 Lizzy gets out of the shower, dries off and checks her comms for replies from the two text messages she sent.  There is one reply, it was from Karl, she smiles and reads it.
Wow Karl has already talked to her Father already as well. Lizzy wonders where they talked but that was no big deal. Lizzy will then send another text.
COOM TEXT: Karl: " Great and as far as my Father goes if he starts something by all means finish it, I know I will. Thank you for that Karl, see you there."

 Lizzy was very excited she really liked Karl, he was a gentleman, and now she finds out he had words with her Father, he was very good looking and she did like her men rugged. Lizzy hoped if things escalated between them that he wouldn't always be a perfect gentleman. She smiles at that one.

 Lizzy then begins the routine of getting all dolled up. She puts her dress on, and a garter belt so she will have a place to put her knife, she doesn't have anyway of carrying her sidearm but their should be enough armed people there she wouldn't have tom worry about it, plus if her Dad gets too out of hand it might be a good idea not to have her sidearm on her.

 She will get all dressed, and then do her make-up to make herself look extra beautiful. She doesn't go all out on the make-up she is saving her best work for the Burian Ball. She will do her nails, and finally put her hair up in a elegant bun. Then finally she will go into one of her drawers and pull out a jewelry case. She opens it up and there is a beautiful set of gold and ruby earrings, and a gold necklace with 5 rubies set into it. The set where her Mothers and she has only worn it a few times. She puts the earrings and necklace on and then finally checks herself in the mirror when she is all done.

 Once she is finished, she was ahead of schedule, she would then get her Comms, if there is another message she will read it, and then she will send a Comm text to Melia.

 COMM TEXT: Melia:" Hi I am already if you want to drop by my quarters I will do your make-up for you okay."

Having finished their breakfast, Harry was in the process of putting the dishes into the dishwasher when she'd hear her comms unit buzz. Retrieving it from the counter she would smile as she read the message from Lizzy marvelling at how she'd managed to sound bubbly in a text message "Well Little Fish, Lizzy has just asked about you by name so it looks like you'll be going to the party after all" Harry said to Abby with a smile before checking the time to see how long they had to get ready in "so my advice is you go back to your quarters and find something nice to wear, I'll be wearing my dark blue dress, and I'll meet you there ok? Oh and  try not to bad mouth the LC in front of people, I know he's not you're most favourite of people but going off on one about him won't win you any friends, ok?" she kindly spoke, moving around the counter so as to out her arms around her in a hug "you'll be alright Little Fish, I'll be here to look after you, no matter what" she softly said, giving her a quick squeeze before stepping back so as to reply to Lizzy's message.

Comms Message to Lizzy: Yes, Abby and I will both be there and my leg is pretty good so looking forward to that dance, assuming the lovely Karl will let little ol' me cut in ;) see you soon, Harry X

 Lizzy read the message from Harry, she was so excited that Harry's leg was better, and she could dance. Lizzy chuckled over Karl letting her cut in.

 Waiting for Melia to show up, Lizzy sent a message back to Harry.
COMM TEXT: Harry,"YEAH!!!!!! I am so glad you will be,able to dance, happy Abby will be there as well. Did you know your sister is cute as hell. Hehehe. Hey can you blame me I think Abby's sisyer is incredible so. Oh Karl is a gentleman he will let you cut in. Okay see you at noon. I hope I look good enough. I really like Karl, OK sorry see you later.

 Lizzy did think Abby was cite,as hell and wouldn't throw her out of her bed for sure. Lizzy did lije Karl a lot, just something about him, he was no her normal type but from the sounds of it he stood up to her Dad and that is a huge plus.

   Captain Si  answered,well this is a Birthday party, You may dress  as you wish... Oliver and I will wear of duty Unifroms.. I think Captain MAris  will be dressed  to show off  his  ....awards...

 so?  anything  from   a dress... to uniform, to   jeans  and a T-shirt..will be  fine... there is dancing  involved if you wish.... The CAptain has a Live  Band..and  the   fellows  who normally take over the Vid MAchine will toss in thier   2 Dreds  worth.

 ..The  Party at the   Burian Palace, however... I have invited  the LAdeis to my  Quarters  for thier pick of Angelsilk Dresses.... if you find  one you like, you  make keep it...Oliver is pretty understanding of  my Dress collection..but he does ..um..'suggest' i thin it out, since my quarters  are basiclly a  walk-in Closet.

  Abby..nods  as she gets up.....you know,, they didn't  cover, not one  damn bit of this at the academy... This    ain't like what we learned....

 She returns a  quick  hug , heading out the door  to her  quarters.

 Nearing  time for the party,  people  were comign down the  Passage way... they were talking  about  the B-day party..  Frans, Eckles and MAra all had  shorted   dresses... Waggles  and some  guys   had  either off   duty  uniforms  or jeans and  Ts...

Sarah had decided on her simple black uniform, it had been slightly redone  in the colors of the Burian Navy. A white high collar undershirt, with a forest green tunic. For this she'd chosen a Mandarin style collar and ESN dress uniform buttons. She'd chosen her Burian dress white pants, also in the forest green but with the ESN blue piping, and dress combat boots. On her hip she wore her side arm, and knife both meticulously cleaned though both bore the scratches and scrapes of regular use. She'd applied light and tasteful make up, a base with minimal eye accent, and a lip stick color just between neutral and red.

Checking herself in the mirror she examines the cut and the color of her choices and picks off a few pieces of lint. In the end she decided it gave her a clean professional look, while forgoing all the accouterments of someone trying to show off, and it wasn't the standard duty uniform. Satisfied with her look she heads for the Field to enjoy the party until time to retire to the Admiral's Quarters with the Board.

Melia arrived in short order. She was wearing a deep red cocktail dress that accented the coloring of her scars, along her sides the material was sheer in the same red managing to conceal while allowing some of the brighter scars to show through. She'd brought Orria along who was wearing a dark green sun dress that was sufficiently long for her to run and play, but also to look nice. Under her arm Orria carried her vidboard.

"Hey, sorry it took so long. We discovered Orria's been growing a bit and had to find a bigger dress." She explains.

"Forget the academy Little Fish...this is more like your first school disco" Harry called after her sister with a laugh, receiving Lizzy's second message after her sister was out of the door. She would chuckle softly as she read the message, her friend clearly over excited as she complimented herself, her sister and Karl all in one sentence. Part of her was tempted to send Lizzy another sexy picture of herself in her little pink nightie so as to remind her which of the Carmichael sisters was into her. However although she was wearing her nightie it was clear she'd slept in it which combined with her messy hair wouldn't give her the sexy look she was after, that and seeing as it had been her who had put the more intimate side of their relationship on hiatus sending naughty pictures probably wasn't the best of ideas.

Stripping out of her nightie, Harry would shower and wash her hair before then changing into a dark blue strapless dress that fell to just above her knees and her usual pair of sandals that she wore in the place of heels. After making a few quick adjustments in front of the mirror she would brush her short blonde hair before then heading out of the door.

 Lizzy opened the door and let them in, and say,No problem,  you both look amazing, have a seat Melia , his won't take me long. Lizzy got out her makeup case and it was huge and she had really good makeup. One benefit of being a Captain's daughter.

 Lizzy would find the perfect colors and shading to hide Melia's sleepy eyes and bring out her natural beauty. She will use purples, a light brown and some reds to really bring out her look. When Lizzy was done she handed Melia a mirror and said, Wow that came out great, I hope you like it.

 Lizzy was all ready except for her 5" heels being only 5'3" she wore 5" a lot and was extremely good in walking and dancing in them. Well Lizzy was a girly girl and she showed it off today.

Melia looked in the mirror, "oh wow... I could never do something like this myself. You're amazing at makeup." She says examining herself. She looked like a whole different person to her own eyes.

Orria are you ready to go? She asks, "Please don't spend all the time on your vidboard. Even Beth takes time to hang out with people." She says trying convince Orria to be a little more social. Since Beth had given her the assignment the girl had become nearly obsessed with her vidboard.

 Lizzy smiled and said, Oh that is just a,quick job, I can teach you to do makeup like mine in no time. I am glad you like it. Lizzy looked at the time it was almost noon, she didn't want to be too late for her party. She smiled at Orris and,said, Yes please have fun at my party, you can do your video board layer okay. I want you too have,a great time at my party.

 With that Lizzy would get her heels on, check herself and walk out of her quarters with Melia and Orria.
Lizzy would say, see you guys at the party, I have to make a quick stop.

 With that Lizzy would head for the Observation Dec.

Justin entered his assigned cabin crossed to the workstation and set about drafting another request for patrol assignment. He suspected it would be yet another failed attempt and would be added to the growing pile of previous requests. Since being shipped aboard he'd approximate the number to tally about 1460.

Justin spent five hours coding then ordered meals for the next three shifts. When they arrived the delivery boy knew they were to be placed in the secure box, Justin had built into the wall near the cabin's entrance.
