Hearing the sound of her door buzzer going off, Izzy would excitedly rush over to answer it, beaming up at Lizzy as she opened the door "oh hey I wasn't expecting you just yet, come on in" Izzy said with smile as she welcomed her inside "...dinner will be another couple of minutes but feel free to pour yourself a glass of wine, oh and you look amazing by the way" Izzy said, indicating the bottle of pink Burian wine and the pair of glasses before quickly returning to the stir fry she was currently cooking for them.

Barefoot and with her straight black hair hanging loose about her shoulders Izzy would look very young and pretty in the red and black, plaid dress she was wearing, not to mention how tiny she was without high heeled shoes on. Izzy was also more than a little excitable now that Lizzy was actually here, with her cheerfully humming along with the music playing in the background "I hope you don't mind, but I thought I would keep things simple, it's been awhile since I last cooked for anybody" Izzy would call over her shoulder as she continued to cook at the tiny oven filling her quarters with scent of stir fried vegetables and spices. Despite the lack of proper cooking utensils and her rather limited ingredients she was pretty happy with how the meal was turning out with her deciding that she would give it another minute or two before serving.

 Lizzy smiled as Izzy answered the door, Lizzy walked in and the smell was amazing," Oh sorry I am about 5 minutes early, do you need any help?"

 Lizzy smiled and she thought Izzy looked amazing in her dress, felt under dressed for once." Oh that is fine Izzy no rush, it smells great. Oh I see two glasses shall I pour us both a glass Izzy? Thank you and you look incredible Izzy." Lizzy would pour herself a glass of wine, and one for Izzy.

 When Izzy said she was keeping things simple, she smile dand replied," Oh Izzy that will be fine, I am sure it will be delicious, it smells amazing." Lizzy would take a seat with her glass of wine and puts Izzy's glass to where she would be sitting.

 Lizzy than asked," I assume you heard the announcement of the jump off in I guess 28 hours now, so I am very glad that I am spending some of those hours with you Izzy. Did you have any luck finding some male pilots to talk too?"

"Oh thank you, but honestly the dress is nothing special, I just wanted to get out of my uniform" Izzy replied, secretly overjoyed that Lizzy thought she looked good, with her trying to hide the fact that she'd spent ages trying on the various outfits she owned as she tried to strike a balance between casual and sexy with her not wanting Lizzy to think that she'd gone to too much effort for a home cooked meal and a film.

When asked about whether she'd managed to find any male pilots to interview Izzy would hesitate for a few moments before cautiously replying "um...yeah...Howe mentioned some Russian guy named Zull, said he'd just transferred in but what with the jump off and everything I decided I'd rather spend my time with you...truth be told with the ways thing are going I'm not even sure I want to finish it" she confessed as she added a dash of soy sauce to the pan "...I suppose I'll get some footage to give my bosses when he hit the Verians, assuming of course that they let me on the shuttles and don't just lock me away with the civilians" which to her mind was a very real possibility. Though the idea of trying to film any kind of link with a squad she couldn't trust to watch her back was equally terrifying

Within about a minute or so she would place a pair of plates of stir fry and noddles in a sweet chilli sauce on the table, with her glad that she'd chosen to go for a quick and easy dish considering how long she'd spent getting ready "I hope you like it, half the ingredients are Burian so I'm not sure what they're like though the man in the store assured me the meat tasted like chicken" she said taking a seat opposite Lizzy and taking a sip of wine before beginning to eat. Her mother would be horrified by the amount of improvisation she'd done but she had to admit it actually tasted pretty good, and the meat did actually taste of chicken!

 Lizzy smiled and said," Well Izzy you look amazing in it trust me." Lizzy also thought she would look amazing out of it on the bed as well, but Lizzy wanted her relationship with Izzy to be so much more than just sex.

 When Izzy talked about her story and how she wanted to possibly not finish it Lizzy said," No Izzy you need to finish it, I am sorry the rest of the crew has treated you like a leper and hasn't given you a chance to show them there is so much more to you than being a reporter. I mean some people have reasons for not liking reporters and it seems they have had some bad ones on this ship, but I think you should finish it Izzy, I really do, see I want to be a star come on, and Izzy I am so glad you want to spend time with me, I really enjoy spending time with you as well." Lizzy would chuckle a little to try and lighten the mood.

 Lizzy looked at Izzy and said," Well they better let you go, you went with them on Bura and you did fine, they should let you do your job and not lock you away. Izzy I will say if you do go and show you can do your job, fight and protect the people you are with, they will do the same." Lizzy took a sip of her wine, it was really good, then she added," Unfortunately you where given a bad rap before people even met you because you are a reporter, I know it sucks people judging you on your past or your job and not you as a person."

 Lizzy took a deep breath and the said," When I was in flight school no one wanted to be my friend, none of the pilots wanted to hang with me, my Father was the head instructor and he always scared off most of the people I wanted to spend time with. I had to show them I was more than my father's daughter, I was Lizzy a fighter pilot and not a clone of my Father thank god. It was tough but they finally took me for me and not what they thought I was, it will be hard you need to do the same thing and I will help you if I can Izzy." Lizzy stopped tears began to run down her cheek but she wiped them away before Izzy turned around.

 Then Izzy was done with dinner and she placed two plates on the table, it smelled and look delicious. " It smells great, it will be fine Bura had some amazing foods that is for sure." Lizzy took a sip of wine with Izzy , and smiled at her. Lizzy took a bite, and then a few more it was delicious and it did taste just like chicken. " It is wonderful and tastes like real chicken, I haven't had a meal like this in a very long time, thank you Izzy."

 Lizzy looked into Izzy's eyes, oh she wanted to kiss her so bad, but they where having dinner, and Lizzy was actually in a great mood, giving Haley her Mom's ring to wear was great and she really liked Haley a lot, she loved all children but Haley had slid into a special place in Lizzy's heart. Then Lizzy saw Izzy's necklace again and she asked," I see you have that beautiful necklace on again, did you get that on Bura it is so beautiful goes great with your amazing skin Izzy."

"I don't know...I suppose I could finish it" Izzy said though she didn't sound overly convinced about the idea. At this point in time it felt like a lot of hard work and effort in order to make people that didn't even like her look good, and as for her getting a ride on one of the shuttles she was pretty much at the mercy of SM Spencer, though in fairness he was one of the few people that actually treated her as a person, earning him a modicum of respect from herself.

With them sitting down to enjoy their meal the topic of conversation would thankfully move on to happier topics as Lizzy first complimented the food before going on to ask about her necklace "Oh this, my friend Sam got it for me, She's the one serving with the Burian fleet I mentioned, it is lovely isn't it?" she said with a smile as she absently ran her fingers across the brightly coloured stones "...we only knew each other for a day and a bit but we just really hit it off, I'll have to introduce you to her if we ever head back that way" she promised as she took another sip of her wine, enjoying the fruity flavour that was vaguely reminiscent of forest fruits and hid how deceptively strong it was "did you get your nose art finished? Only I'd love to see it sometime, something tells me that it will be amazing like everything else you do...you know that's what I really love about you Lizzy, you always achieve what you set out to do and the result is always spectacular" she said, pausing to admire those beautiful emerald green eyes she had before softly giggling as she looked away feeling slightly embarrassed by what she'd just said "there's just something about that level of self confidence that I find so intoxicating" she said, gently running her bare foot up the side of Lizzy's leg as she gave her a look that said she was looking forward to what the rest of the evening had in store for them.

 Lizzy will smile at her and say," Yes Izzy I think you should finish it, don't let others stop you okay Izzy."

 Lizzy smiled and said," Oh yes you mentioned Sam, the Lt. working with the Burian Fleet, she is like their version of Beth isn't she. Maybe she can give you pointers on how to smooth things over with Beth or maybe have her say a few words to her. Izzy I dont want to harp on this but you really need to fix things with Beth if she is on your side you would be golden, but enough of that lets enjoy this great dinner you made for us."

 She smiles as she continues to eat her dinner, and then she adds,"That is great you hit it off so fast, I guess like we have as well I hope, and yes I can't wait to meet her again, just saw her the time I met you and I umm sort of checked you out, I thought you where sexy and amazing the first time I met you." Lizzy felt a little embarrassed but she kept smiling as she ate, Lizzy took a good sip of her wine, it went down nicely but it did have a kick and it was making her feel a little frisky, she would have to hold that in check for now at least.

 Lizzy smiled again and blushed a little as Izzy asked about her nose art and complimented her without even seeing it, and Izzy was really being nice and Lizzy really liked it. Lizzy replied," Yes I finished my nose art, I think you will like it,  tomorrow after any training the LC has in store with us, I was going to add a clear coat over it to keep it from getting ruined too fast. Would you like to come and see it, I can Comm you when I get there. Thank you so much Izzy I don't always achieve what I am going for but I try my best and I am still alive,and very happy to be here with you tonight." That is if she didn't wake up here with Izzy that is.

 Lizzy saw how Izzy reacted and she smiled at her, she kept eating, the dinner was great but she wanted to end dinner and get closer with Izzy, Lizzy was going to say something when Izzy added the compliment on her confidence, " Well Izzy I have a secret to that, if someone says I can't do it, I prove them wrong that's all, I actually have to give my ummm yeah my Father for that, he did teach me confidence in what you do, and in yourself will show everyone you mean business and they will take you more seriously. I have to admit that mind set has helped me a lot, and plus why wouldn't I be confident in showing off this amazing body don't you agree Izzy?"

 When Izzy began rubbing her bare foot on her leg, and the look Izzy was giving Lizzy knew tonight was going to be fun and they might not make for dancing, they might be dancing in the sheets instead. Lizzy finished her meal, took another sip of wine and then she stood up and said," That was great Izzy, do you need help clearing the table, or should I just pour us some more wine?"

"Yes, I'd like that...maybe I could get a picture of you next to it?" she asked with a slightly embarrassed smile that said she wanted a picture of Lizzy for own personal collection rather than for professional purposes. She was also coming to suspect by the way that Lizzy kept looking at her that a comms message wouldn't be necessary, Which along with the fact that she was also struggling to keep her eyes off of Lizzy led her to believe that there was a very real possibility that Lizzy would be waking up here. A prospect that caused butterflies to dance within Izzy in nervous excitement.

As Lizzy spoke of her confidence, with her trying to make out that she didn't always succeed in her goals Izzy would respond with a soft, musical laugh "Bullshit! You wanted to get out from under your fathers shadow; you've managed that Miss O'Conner, You wanted to become a world class fighter pilot; you've become an Ace in the space of...what...a week? You hit on a supposed "straight" girl and despite getting hammered on your first date she is still very interested in you...No Lizzy O'Conner there is nothing in this galaxy that will stop you achieving what you want to achieve" she said counting off the pilot's achievements on her small, delicate fingers before giving her a knowing smile "...and as for your body, I seem to recall someone's robe "accidentally" falling open just as a certain reporter came over to do an interview leaving her feeling very hot under the collar, though that was you intention all along wasn't it?" at first she'd thought it had been an accident, but having spent some time with her Izzy had slowly come to the realisation that it had been a deliberate move on Lizzy's part in an attempt to seduce her, and that although it hadn't worked in the way she had probably hoped it had certainly sewn certain seeds within Izzy's mind "I meanwhile come from a very traditional background, where everything was very prim, and proper, and had to follow certain rules meaning that it normally takes me a couple of glasses of wine before I get the confidence to do what I really want to do" she softly giggled as her foot continued to slowly follow the curve of the inside of Lizzy's calf.

With the meal coming to an end Lizzy would ask if she needed any help clearing up the plates causing Izzy to momentarily hesitate before softly replying "I'll tell you what, why don't you take the bottle and glasses into the bedroom and pick a film for us to watch whilst I quickly load the dishwasher?" she suggested as her heartbeat inexplicably began to quicken.

 Lizzy smiled and replied," Sure you can take as many pictures of me as you want Izzy, and of my fighter."  Lizzy looked at Izzy and she wanted this picture for herself instead of a story which made Lizzy very happy.

 Lizzy was a little taken back at how Izzy started her list of Lizzy's achievements. As Izzy spoke Lizzy smiled and nodded her head, well Izzy was right on all accounts so far, plus she missed a few she didn't know about. Lizzy would keep them to herself for now, at some point if this goes the way Lizzy was hoping she would tell izzy everything about Harry and her relationship but not yet, not now.

 Lizzy will respond to the list," Well yeah you put it that way, I guess you are right, and I am very happy that the straight woman is still interested in little ole me." Then Izzy smiled and brought up Lizzy's robe mishap, Lizzy got very red in the face and very embarrassed and she replied," Umm well okay it didn't accidentally open I wanted you to see that, yes I was trying to get you too like me Izzy, I hope you are not mad at me for doing that." Lizzy smiled and her heart was racing a little bit, Lizzy had to calm down she could feel where this night was going but Lizzy did not want to rush it, she took another sip of her wine.

 Lizzy smiled at Izzy, " Well hang around me long enough and you will have that confidence without the wine, I am far from prim and proper you are right when I see something I am interested in I go right after full throttle. Oh Izzy I see a fire within you, a wonderful woman who wants to change the world I can see that, you just need to let her out, and guess what Izzy I am definitely the person who can do that for you." Lizzy was getting excited now, no more nervousness for her, like she just said Lizzy liked Izzy a lot and she was going to go in full throttle soon. Then Izzy moved her foot up Lizzy's leg and she knew right there and then where this evening was going to end and it wasn't at the pulse dancing.

 Lizzy smiled when Izzy asked her to bring the wine bottle and the glasses into the bedroom, and pick out a movie for them to watch. Lizzy smiled and said," Sure Izzy sounds great, any suggestion on the type of movie or my choice?" Lizzy grabbed both glasses now empty, and the bottle of wine. As Izzy was cleaning up the table Lizzy stopped next to her and said," Thank you that was a wonderful meal Izzy, I am so happy to be here with you tonight." Lizzy then gave her a quick kiss on  Izzy's lips and left that as what will be happening more in the bedroom possibly. Lizzy did not want to push Izzy into anything but the way it was looking it was going to be an amazing night.

 Lizzy then walked into the bedroom, she put down the glasses and filled them both back up and put the wine bottle down. She then went through the lists of movies to find one that was perfect for tonight, Lizzy thought some Lesbian porn would be great but maybe not yet. Lizzy was actually getting warm and she was sweating, not because of the temperature in the room, but because of the heat the two woman where creating between themselves. Lizzy thought about taking off her t-shirt but she will wait for now.

 When Izzy would come into the bedroom Lizzy would be sitting on the bed going through movie lists under romantic comedies, and she will say when Izzy walks in," I like them all, you go ahead and pick one Izzy it is your quarters after all, I am just a guest. Also I would like to make a toast Izzy." Lizzy picked up the full glasses and handed one to Izzy, she then hel up her glass and Lizzy said," I want to drink to us, a wonderful traditional reporter, who has had a rough time at her new assignment but she will make it work and be the best damn reporter the Hermes has ever seen, and to me, a woman who is kind of starting over, my life was a lie, now my life will be mine and what I want it to be, and be with the ones I truly care about, to us Izzy."

 Lizzy would click their glasses together and take a big sip, this wine was very good and it did make Lizzy all tingly in certain areas as well. Lizzy decided this was it time for the first step, she put her glass down motioned for Izzy to put hers down. Lizzy smiled at her and then brought Izzy close to her, put her arms around her and gave her a kiss that was full of love, kindness and passion.

"I don't mind, I'll let you choose" Izzy replied, smiling as Lizzy leaned in to give her a quick kiss in way of a thank you for tonight before heading into the bedroom. With her heart racing Izzy would hurriedly begin loading dishes into the tiny dishwasher anyway they would fit, eager to join Lizzy in the bedroom with the wine having seemingly gone to her head as well as several other places leading her to believe that the wine was doing exactly what the shopkeeper had told it her it would do, not that she was overly concerned. She had told Lizzy that she hadn't been upset over her little ploy with the robe and that it had simply posed some rather awkward questions that had required a little soul searching to answer. What she hadn't told her however was that she hadn't been able to get those images out of her mind and was after a repeat performance from her.

With the front door locked and the lights within the rest of her quarters turned off, Izzy would go to join Lizzy in the bedroom, forcing herself not to run in her growing excitement. With the lights turn down low within the bedroom Izzy would take seat on the bed beside Lizzy and listen as she made a toast to them, liking the sound of way she was being described, before gently clinking her glass against Lizzy's and taking drink from her glass.

Placing her wine glass on the bedside table next to Lizzy's, Izzy would find herself being drawn into the other woman's tender embrace as she kissed her with a fiery passion that ignited her own desires. As one of her hands would once again tangle itself within her long red hair the other hand would move to the small of her back where it would rest for a few moments before moving down to gently squeeze Lizzy's shapely rear.  Lizzy watched as Izzy began to tremble, Lizzy moved carefully and slowly and helped her with her clasp and her cute bra fell to the floor.  Lizzy would smile again and say," Well I understand, I am very glad we did this as well, honestly I was hoping it would happen but I wasn't expecting it tonight, it was quite the surprise to me when you rubbed my leg and grabbed my butt. I just hope you know I would never push you to do anything you didn't want to do, I hope I showed you that tonight."

 Lizzy really loved when Izzy played with her hair, Lizzy then said," Please keep that up I love you doing that to my hair sweetie, also since this just happened ahead of time, I would like to ask you what I was going too no matter what happened tonight. Just us ending up like this makes it easier to ask this."

 Lizzy held Izzy close looking into her beautiful eyes and her amazing soul and added," Izzy I really like you, I mean I really like you a lot. Stunned by the suddenness of the request the hand within Lizzy's hair would stop what it was doing as Izzy tried to process what was being asked of her along with the repercussions if she was to say yes "I...I really like you too Lizzy, and I want to spend more time with you, A lot more time with you but I just don't think I'm ready to come out to the whole world, I mean I've barely come to terms with it myself" she whispered desperately hoping that she wouldn't drive this wonderfully, kind and understanding person away, but the memory of everyone staring at them in the officers club and being fun of was still far to fresh in her memory and the lord knew people didn't need another reason to dislike her "...this isn't a no, not by a long shot, but I...I'm just not ready, you understand that right? I mean I know we can't keep it a secret but could we just keep it on a need to know basis for the time being?"

 Lizzy was disappointed but Lizzy completely understood how Izzy was feeling when she first came out and was with her first girlfriend it was rough. Lizzy then decided to add this ," I completely understand people can be assholes and I am so sorry for what happened in the Officer's club."

 Lizzy took Izzy's hand and then said," Okay to the 'world' we are good friends and I will try to behave myself in public, but in private we can build our relationship, get to know each other, be girlfriends and lovers. How does that sound Izzy, will that work until you are ready to tell the world how we feel about each other?"

 Then the unthinkable happened, her Comms went off, she had to check to make sure it wasn't really important or the LC. Lizzy will get out of the warm bed and leave Izzy's amazing comfy body and head to her Comm's. As she does she says," Oh damn this better be good I was so comfy cuddling with you Izzy." Is it in her jeans, she bends over right in full view of Izzy, and can't find her comms.

 Lizzy left her comms on Izzy's table when they where eating dinner, with them in the bedroom and talking Lizzy heard her comms go off, but she forgot where her comms where.

A tired Roll and Haley began to trip to Nikkis quarters.  "This is something Haley's family and my family used to do now and then.  Were gonna watch some older vid Movies.  One or two at least.  have some popcorn and sodas.  When you get in you can get in your Jammies.  We're all gonna get comfy and throw some extra pillows on the main bed and watch them, and just relax" She ushered them into her quarters along with Mitch and Gregor.
It seemed like the room was crowded, but it was in a comfy way.  Nikki ushered Roll to go get into his jammies, to change in the bathroom.  Nikki brought the pillows from Haleys bed down to hers.  it was gonna be big enough for them all.  "Okay Mitch, Haley, myself and then Roll, and Gregor and pick as he wants to lay on or next too.  How's that?" She adjusted the large monitor to face the be and put the box with treats on her chair, so it would be within reach for all.  Inside were a few sodas, teas, even a beer for Mitch if he wanted.  Best of all was 2 bags of fresh popcorn, one buttery and another caramel coated.  There were a few sandwiches as well and in some plates.  Also one wrapped plate that held sandwich meat scraps for Gregor.  Roll had changed into his Jammies she squatted in front of him and smiled "You know when you get older you are gonna be a handsome young man" She teased at the bangs of his hair and gave him a hug then placed him on her bed.  "Your turn Punkin'" She said retrieving Rolls clothes and straightening them out for him.  She laid them on her desk with his backpack, then handing Haley her pajamas she went to the bathroom to change.  Mitch left for a bit and retrieved a few pillows from his quarters and returned.  By then Nikki was also changed into her t-shirt and shorts combo, Gregor was fed some Larg chow.  The vid-Movie Nikki selected was ready to start and a spot for him on the bed waiting.  Haley had one bowl of popcorn and Roll the other "Face it...You really want to get in my bed don't you? she winked and teased him.  She waited for him to get comfy and the lights turned down.  She introduced them to one of her favorite movies 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' to be followed by 'The Avengers'.  She made sure everyone was going to enjoy the oldies.

  Mitch   chuckled  as he settled in.wow? these vids  were old  when i was a kid?  But i guess out here, they are 'brand new!"

 ..Lost ArK..  they gonna go into space?.. I heard   stuff  above misisng Arks , they think Demons got them. Roll says

"Not that kind of an Ark.  This is...well something else" she said "My big brother Marshall is a preacher.  If he was here he'd explain it...then call you a heathen...then try an baptize you" She gave a quiet laugh.  "Still the story is good, lots of action.  Has things the kiddos here can learn.  And it is just flat fun to watch" she handed him the beer from the box.  She grabbed a tea for herself.

”That sounds good to me, though maybe we could tell some of your friends if you wanted to... It was at this point that that Lizzy’s comm would go off causing Lizzy, much to Izzy’s dismay, to get out of bed in search of the infernal device with her young lover muttering irritably in Chinese.

She would watch Lizzy wandering around her bedroom naked with obvious delight for several moments before slipping out of bed and quietly walking over to her with the relative cool of her bedroom compared to her bed causing goosebumps to prickle her arms ”please come back to bed Lizzy...I’ll make it worth your while” Izzy said in a seductive purr as she placed her arms about Lizzy and pressed herself up against her back in a bid to lure the beautiful fighter jock back into her bed.

 Lizzy smiles at Izzy and says," Good you are my sexy girlfriend in private, oh I would only tell Harry, Nikki and Melia my three good friends on the Hermes. I don't have to tell my parents, if you need help with that Izzy I can be with you when you tell your parent." When Izzy said she wasn't ready for the whole ship to know she was a lesbian.

 Lizzy wanted to find her Comms what if it was someone who needed her help.
