Gia     Patted      Harry on the  head  with her  Off  hand,..That  big guy on the   Boarding Team.... Supe.. he   has the  arms like that... he looks  good in his    Light blues  on the Hanger  Dec.. carrying those  Heavy Guns...

 .. I am sad, that the Pilto  did not  get  His  Girl...what could she  see in that   litttle  skinny Quartermaster?

"hmm...well...now that you mention it" Harry murmured with a sly smile on her face at the mention of Supe's muscular biceps "I always seem to have a thing for bad boys and rogues, unfortunately they often turn out to be complete dicks!" she confessed with a sigh that said she knew the solution to this particular problem but was unable follow it.

Upon hearing Gia's comment concerning the Skinny Quartermaster Harry would briefly move from her rather comfortable position upon her shoulder to look at her completely aghast "but he's so sweet to her! I mean sure the pilot has the looks but it was the quartermaster that has always been there for her" she said before settling herself back down on Gia's shoulder "All I need to do is find someone who has a thing for petite blonde girls with an attitude problem and a big mouth"

 Gia  started to  Giggle, then  flat out  LAugh.

 ..Now?.... You and I have  been   on the Hermes the   some  much of  time..Si?... And   I. have spend   just a few more hours with Delta people  then you, because of the  Sevente party...

  ...we have  seen the harsh things.. we have  seen sweet thinhgs...and  we have seen our new  crewmates do  what is needed to be done?

 then she Giggles  again,..but most of all?... we have seen , that  all of them, have the  Big mouth, the   the problem  with attitude!

Laughing along with her friend Harry would marvel at the fact that despite the Admiral seemingly choosing every oddball crew member available to him within the ESN, complete bad attitudes, strong egos, issues with authority and more than a few dubious pasts, that not only was the Hermes and by extension the Delta fleet able to operate but was in fact the most successful fleet within the ESN. Though perhaps that said more for the Admiral's leadership skills than their own unique quirks of personality "well, when I'm walking again we'll just have to see if we can find a heart throb or two of our very own" Harry murmured sleepily as she struggled to keep her eyes open as the film rapidly approached it's conclusion.

      Gai took their tray away   and put  it in the sink, then  returned  and  set the timer  for when the Movie   ended.

   ...I think?... we will be hunting other thing  soon?.. time for hunting , throbbing hearts?.. will be after!

Harry was in the process of falling to sleep upon her friends shoulder, who was soft and warm with a subtle scent of flowers, when Gia got up to take away the tray and empty glasses, prompting a quiet grumble of protest from Harry.

It was as Gia was taking away the dishes that Harry would strip out of her clothes so that she was wearing only her vest top and knickers and slip beneath the sheets. Upon Gia's return she would once again settle down beside her with a small smile touching her lips at the mention of a different form of hunting taking place before they would be able to go in search of a Heart Throb "ah...yes...my Blue Max" Harry responded in a sleepy voice "I will get a Blue Max Gia babe...and then I'm going to knock Shadow off the top spot" she said, knowing that it was a tall order and would no doubt receive more than a little derision from many people within the fleet. But it was like daddy had always said; if you're going to aim for something then aim big.

   Gai was  starting to  drift as   well.. Once more with a   few passes of her fingers  through   Harry's  hair,...Si... we  are....in the  right  place... to do that....

   when the Vid screen shut off the  two were  asleep.


  the Vid screen was set to wake them , an hour before cast off.

  Gai  was  Up a few minutes  before the Vid screen went off. She was   washing     what dishes there  were and    sending the  Pizza  box into the   recycle tube.

  When the   Vid  screen went  Off,  Gai   smiled over to Harry,..i do not have.... 'krumpets'... but   i have  tea  bag in the  Cup and  water  boiled... and  some of them...muffin things....

 ... This is exciting part for me... Casting off!... and we are casting off..to go somewhere!

Harry would slowly awaken the following morning to the sight and sound of Gia bustling around the small kitchen; doing the dishes and making Tea with her being in an excessively cheerful mood, though to be honest Harry wasn't particularly surprised as Gia had always struck her as being that type. Truth be told she had slept remarkably well herself and although she couldn't match Gia's mood, or at least not without the aid of some kind of illicit substance, she was feeling decidedly cheerful "ooh Tea would be lovely" she said as she slipped out of the bed to take her first tentative steps towards the en-suite noting that most of the pain and stiffness within her leg was now gone, meaning that she should be safe to lose the crutch.

After taking a quick shower and changing back into her uniform, Harry would join Gia for breakfast, taking a careful sip of her tea before speaking "thank you for looking after me Gia, I'm not sure I could have coped with spending last night by myself" she gratefully said because all in all between being crippled, having a messy break up and being infected by alien parasites yesterday had been a very bad day, and she had been just about ready to break down and cry "Its been a long time since I had a girly night in...next time you'll have to come over to mine and I'll do the dishes" she said with a chuckle before taking another sip of what was turning out to be a surprisingly good cup of tea.

  Gai  smiled  as she  sat  at the  small  counter,..it is  fun, si?  We are   out here doing   the same  things   as the men do... we  must not lose  ourselves in that!... I will tell you secret... but you must not  tell others?.... When I was supposed to  get information from the LC?, for  Pernilli?... I lied... but  i told him not to fight the LC..so.. the truth and the Lie..of   the LC not being a good fighting person, was...ok?... But..the real  secret...

 her  voice   dropped   down to a whispher,..the LC..he  did   dishes  before   bed!... an we  were at the  Hotel! her head   went  back  and forth  with a smile,..I am, most sure...he would not  want  that to get around... his    firend..will make sport of him..

 .now?.. eat up, so we can see  if  our  pretty ladies   are ready to dance?

Harry didn't know about the others but she would definitely have to resist taking the mick out of the LC after learning that little nugget of information "Seriously? wow...I never took Shadow for being the domesticated type" Harry said with a soft chuckle before taking another sip of tea.

After eating a rather enjoyable breakfast with Gia, Harry would make her way down to her own quarters, telling her friend that she would meet her on the Hangar Dec after she'd taken care of a few things. Chief among them was emptying the contents of the two bottles of hooch she had down the drain, as the last thing she wanted was for SEC to find those during their search for contraband.

With the hooch gone and the empty bottles rinsed and disposed of she would then change into a fresh set of clothes before heading down to the Hangar Dec in order to get her baby ready to dance.

Teela keyed open the door to her quarters and dropped her gear bag on the bed before stripping out of what she had been wearing since being transferred to the Hermes and jumping into the shower, keeping her wings out of the spray of water. She quickly washed and toweled herself dry before brushing and drying her hair and tying it into a braid.

She pulled out her specially designed clothing and began to get dressed as she alternated checking her Angel-made Pulse pistol and her daggers. Last to go on was her newly issues, Hermes flight suit as her old one had her former rank, kill counts, squadron badges and other assorted rockers and patches. She knew the humans would be fascinated at how the suit was designed for her wings as she slipped it on and strapped her belt on, slipping the pistol into its holster. One dagger was tied around her upper thigh, its size making putting it into a boot impractical whilst another was put into her boot, also on the large size but not as big as the monster blade she had on.

She secured the rest of her equipment and personal items before checking herself in the full length mirror. She pulled out a large brush and applied it to her wings until the practically glowed before folding them over her back, not making any attempt at keeping them low profile. One more quick look and she was out the door and headed back to the hangar, gear bag in hand containing only the necessities.

 The Buzzer  rang,  Will  stood  at the door  way with   three   Vid Boxes, A bag Of pretzels  and  a Bottle  of   wine.I..Um.. I didn't know what to  bring..since you're  an offcier  and  all?... I  normally would have  Brought soda?

  Was  Cleaned up  well.. he had a Hermes Tank top on with a loose  fitting Print , button shirt  ( the  Print  had  fighters on it).

 ..Stefi said i have to  let the  Dermaplast  air?  so it  seats its self good  enough  for me to go back down tomorrow...

 then he  poked at the  stuff he carried,..I brought  the   first 3  seaons?.. I figure, if you don't like it.. we  can just pop  season three in  when Hamlet became  more  involved..

 ..they have  5 seasons so far... the new season starts  in a month or so?... some folks say they Modeled it after the Admiral  and   the  Hermes?... I dunno?..I can see  some of the stuff..but.. i guess   all ships are like that..

As she opened the door it was clear that Will had made an effort. His usual uniform replaced with a tank top and a fighter print shirt, something she hadn't known existed until just now, as well as pretzels and a bottle of wine to go with the vids "Hey Will, wow cool shirt...come in, I'll see if I can find a couple of glasses for the wine, though for the record soda would have been nice too" she said, gently taking the bottle of wine from him as she led him into her quarters.

For her part Harry had contented herself with neatly combing her short blonde hair and set of clean clothes, not that the others were dirty or anything but... you know, in preparation for her date with her complete lack of makeup and perfume somewhat limiting what she could do. She'd also during the half hour or so it had taken for Will to get himself cleaned up and arrive tidied her quarters to the point of paranoia so as to make a good impression, though why he would look inside the small laundry cupboard was anyone's guess "Yeah you want to do what Stefi says otherwise it gets really painful" Harry said with a laugh as she poured the wine "So...um...what's Aqra like? I mean I've only ever seen it from the air at high speed" Harry asked as she moved to rejoin him, handing him a glass of wine before taking a sip of her own. The wine really was quite nice, though she hoped the difference in rank wouldn't prove to be an issue as she did actually rather like him "So...hey...shall we set up the first vid? I Haven't got a sofa or anything so we'll have to sit on the bed, though I'm sure it'll be more than comfortable"

  he  smiles  and nods     when she   said  about sitting on the bed  he  chuckled,..my quarters are big enough for s Stem Rat to turn around in?.. so this is kinda  Big for me..

 The  set up the First Vid,   and he looked  a bit   nervous,..ok?  Now..some folks  flat out make fun of this?.. some just don't like it, but the actors   are pretty good.. and the stories  are  neat... some of them?  could be  right for  our own Dec?

 he takes the  wine  and sips,..so?.. You know?  If you don't like ti ..say so.. i can  just  grabbed the Vid where HAmlet  has  more of a story bit...

 He took off  his  sneakers at the door, and slowly  settled on teh  bed, maybe a little   more  nervous...the place is a  sauna... the   soft part of the fields are like swamps.. there  are leeches    as  big  as hot dogs?... Those  Heavy  Panzers, can't even move, they are set up like  artillery  now.. the  faster  Tanks,  are mor elike fighters, the   just buzz through, sending up  fish tails  of  Muck...

It was sorta  scary, when we moved forward?..  and   all of the sudden there was this   Line of  Light  Blue in front of us... The   yo guys came  down and took alot of the eh

heat of us..I thought  Eckles  and the LC were Gonners   though.. That Angel LT?..Az-el?.. she was hurt  too  and she  just sat in the  mud shooting    fish that came  around the LC's Pod..  while he blasted them with that hand Cannon and stabbed the  9 hells out of them....

 ..That Big Guy?  Garrat?   he    and another  red Haired Angel and  a Cat got there   right before  me and Shoey did... SM and  others  were trying to shot down that Red Fighter.... But you got it ..i guess it was you?

 ..I heat they have   white  sand  and  clear water?.. I wanna  see the Beach... with any luck.. we'll get there tomorrow?


  he held the   button to hit the vids  to see if she was ready, or if she wanted to talk mrope first.

Sitting on the bed beside him Harry listened as Will described what it had been like down on the ground making the whole place sound like the swamp from an old horror movie complete with giant leeches and mud so thick and deep that not even a tank could drive in it "I didn't get to see much of the actual planet...all I could see was this... haze… of heat and vapour...it's like flying through a cloud, and when I can see the ground I'm so low and going so fast that I'm scared I'm going to hit a tree!" she said before giggling at his mention of how she'd downed Sin's fighter, delighted that someone had been around to witness it "Yeah that was me...I'm the only one here dumb enough to fly an experimental aircraft, oh and you should have heard her complain! She was seriously not happy about being shot down" she said with a laugh before realising that Will probably wouldn't understand what she was talking about. After giving herself a few moments to stop laughing she would quietly explain to him the context to her previous comments "It turns out one of my close friends from back home is now an EDT Ace, which kind of sucks to be honest but...yeah...not a lot I can do about that" she said with a sigh, wishing that that was the worst thing that had happened to her today. Finding out her family were funding the EVOL’s and that one of them may have been kidnapped hadn’t exactly been fun either, nor was learning that her ex and his idiot friend had defected to the enemy after shooting some poor sod in the back particularly good for her self esteem either.

It was as she thought back on everything that had happened that a rather dejected look would appear on her face as she stared down into her glass of wine “Yeah…today hasn’t been great…I could really do with somebody being nice to me for a little while” she said, looking up from her wine glass to give Will a hopeful look before seeming to snap out of her mood with a quick shake of her head “Anyway that’s enough of that, stick the first episode on” she said as she made herself comfortable on the bed beside him.

As the vid played Harry would find herself rather enjoying the show, sure some of it was rather dumb like Shadow had pointed out, and some of the aerial stunts were simply impossible, but the story was enjoyable and several of the characters did indeed remind her of crewmen that she’d either met on the Hermes or back on Etna station. She was also rather enjoying Will’s company, with the blonde pilot snuggling in close to him and gently resting her head upon his shoulder somewhere between the first and second episode. However it was as they nearing the end of the third episode that he would no doubt notice that Harry was struggling to stay awake as a combination of the long and stressful day, coupled with the alcohol she’d drunk and the extremely comfy position she was in finally took effect.

  Will smiled  and   stammered a  bit,I... I   wouldn't  mine  being nice to you... you know?.. for  as long  as  you want?... I'm not a flashy Pilot guy..but... you Know?...  he shrugged...

 Opening a  Net site that he used to order his Vids.....Look at this?.. You'er gonna have  an Action figure...


 With the table -setting of the show, as most pilot episodes  do.. you got  to get the feel of the charcters.


 The ship as  a differant   design, but only a little, of the Hermes.. she was called  the ESN Taurus.. the    fighters  looked like Hammer  IIs but were beefed up a bit.

 Captain Lighting was a Tall Older  fellow  with  dark hair  with greying Temples  Earth age?.. about  40... Body age   about  25 ( angel food)

 Lt  Lina  Braodsword was the Ace of  aces , her Blonde  hair  cut  soem rows   of Black when from   fore head to   her Neck. She was   Cocky , but seemed to  care about her people

 A  Female  SGT  , Sanri was the COM Tech for the Assault  team.  she had an odd  humor in the way of the Samri.

  Angus was a  scot who was a demo man and  always schemeing  of  ways  to blow things up.

LT  Augie Johnson was a  quiet  Midewestern Boy  who   could make his   fighter  dance.. he also had  a crush on Broadsword.

Capta   Prex. An nasty  Little Purple  Occui  who was   found of chewing on  cigars, like  lollipops  was in charge  of the Assualt  teams

 LT  Billy Joe  was a Pilot   and had his own fight  Big old  country boy who QBed the   ships m football team.

 PO Lane (f) and PO Wilis (m) were the 'mech riders'.. but thier    Mechs  were   capsulated   and Fired  off  at  ships for Boarding, wher ethey would have to  Clamp on, on impact... it was the  halfbreed  of an exo skeleton  and a Mech.

 other cvharcter s  would come and  go.. die, or  transfer... but the story was set.

  the  first Couple had some  great action scenes  with   CAptain Lighting comign  up with ideas.. or   Braodsword  doign somethign reckless...

 Will   sorta  smile d as   Harry crashed.. he   turned the   voulume  down and set the machine to  shut off after the  4th  episode .. and he sorta  just  sat there,  afriad to Move... and nodded off...

As Will had nervously stammered that he was more than happy to be nice to her despite the fact that he wasn't a flashy pilot Harry had given him a friendly smile as she'd replied "Flashy isn't everything Will...besides...I think you're rather cute" she'd said with a blush briefly appearing on her cheeks. It had also been around then that she'd learned that she was to become an Action Figure with Harry excitedly getting Will to show her the pictures despite her previous comments on the subject "Wow...that actually kinda looks like me" she'd said looking at the little model of herself in a flight suit, that unsurprisingly hid all of her street ink, complete with a bright yellow flight helmet and the trench knife modelled onto her arm as opposed to her boot or waist where it was on other figures. Quietly deciding that she may have to get a hold of one when they were finally released Harry had then settled down to watch Captain Lightning.

Harry would slowly awaken at some point the following morning with her arms wrapped tightly about Will's waist and her head resting upon his chest with her seemingly having shifted position at some point during the night. Feeling rather embarrassed by the fact that she'd actually fallen asleep on the poor guy during what she supposed could be considered their first date, Harry carefully shifted herself into a sitting position so as to check the time. With any luck she'd have time to make it up to him by cooking him breakfast or something before battle stations was called.

  The  'ad' in the Catalog showed  the  new  series  of  figures with a blurb that said  ' straight from the front!"

 the  release  day was a few weeks  away, the   first  sets  would be made  On Fuji.

In the Morning,  the Ships  clock showed they  had   1 Hour  for  Jump off.

Teela began to feel the weight of pure exhaustion pressing down upon her as she made it to her quarters. She groaned as she sat her space bag down and began stripping out of her flight suit after taking off her belt with her holsters and unstrapping and removing her various daggers. Down to her tank top and leggings she sat and began taking her weapons out and setting them on the table. She wiped down every piece of gear before cleaning her weapons, disassembling her firearms and giving them a thorough cleaning before checking magazines and making sure the weapons were full as were her extra mags.

She pulled everything off her flight suit and set it aside for cleaning before prepping another suit, doing a thorough check for tears, rips, or anything else that needed repairing before she added the various things she had taken off the other one.

Once everything was done she carefully packed her bag again and set her gear aside for easy access once the call was given to report to flight ops. Only then did she take a shower, brush her hair and wings until they practically glowed and climbed into her rack, stifling the groan that she wanted to give voice to. She was sound asleep within seconds of pulling the covers around herself.

With an hour before she was required on deck, Harry would reluctantly slide out of bed, trying her best not to wake Will whilst she did so, and headed into the en-suite for a quick shower. Oce she was freshly showered and clad in a clean envirosuit Harry would then set about making breakfast for the pair of them. She wasn't the world's greatest cook but not even she could mess up bacon and eggs too much, with her setting the kettle going for a much needed cup of coffee as she added rashers of bacon and eggs to a pan.

Assuming the sound and smell of her cooking hadn't roused her sleeping guest, Harry would move to gently wake him, brushing aside a few strands of dark hair from his face as she softly spoke to him "Time to get up Will, wakey wakey" she said as she gently shook him by his shoulders, being sure to avoid the patch of Dermaplast as she did so.

  Will  woke Up, his  eyes   went  wide   then  he smiled,.oh..man..I'm  sorry!.. I didn';t  want to wake you up... and  i sorta..well.. was comfortable... he looked a  bit embarrassed...


 wow..getting  close  to  Jump off....SM, or Lyri would  have made me  count  welds on the Hermes  Belly , if  i would have  missed  Muster.

 He tired to get his  bearings, so he didn't look to goofy,..did  ou..um..like the Vids? It get better  as  it goes along, 'cause there is more  hapening..

Quietly giggling at a still nervous but now rather disorientated Will, Harry would smile as he cautiously asked whether or not she liked the vids "yeah I enjoyed the vids...I mean....flying upside down over another fighter whilst being close enough to send someone your phone number strictly speaking isn't possible but yeah I'd be more than happy to watch them with you again...I'll even try to stay awake next time" she said with her cheeks turning bright red as she quietly chuckled, her hand unconsciously moving to brush aside her hair "anyway I'm making breakfast so if you'd like to use my shower whilst I finish up you can do" she said as she got up and headed back into the tiny kitchenette.

Breakfast would be a simple affair, consisting of bacon and eggs, that she'd miraculously hadn't burned or under cooked, Baked beans and some toast served with a cup of coffee. It wasn't exactly high dining but it would save them trying to get something from the Rec Dec on such short notice. It was as she was beginning to tuck into her own that she would give Will a nervous look before rather anxiously asking "so what do you reckon? I mean...it is edible right?"

 ..yeah.. I guess i better!  he  got up  quickly and  returned after  a few Moments.

 ..I..Guess  i owe you a tooth Blaster   head i used  one  and  ejected it  then... I ..um..didn't  take  a shower, I ha d one before  Our   date..and.. well.. i sorta  like the  way  i smell right now?

  he  sat  down  to eat, taking a  quick look at the clock, and taking his time after he saw he was  well with  in  time to get to his  quarters  for his armor up.

  Will  ate, well, he   kept  nodding, then pointed  at the  plate, after  a sip of  coffee , he said,... Before i got into  SEC?  I  was just a trooper? So.. I didn't  eat on the rec dec  Much... The Mess  is ok?.. but its  sorta  the  same stuff  we eat when we're on the ground!

 ..I sorta be  embarrassed to have you  in my tiny  quarters, but.. we get to a carrier station, maybe    we can have a day or two on  our own, and I can fix  breakfast.... the  words  left his  Mouth   and his eyes  went  wide... he hurried to take another  sip of  coffee before  saying,..I...I ..mean?  If there isn't someone  else you'd  rather..you know..hang out with?

"Will...is this your way of telling me that my shampoo is a little too girly for your tastes?" Harry asked, quirking an eyebrow in response to Will's comment concerning her shower and the way he currently smelled. Though to be honest she couldn't really blame him as turning up to muster smelling of lavender was just asking to have the piss taken out him.

With the pair of them sitting to eat at the kitchenettes breakfast bar Harry would offer Will a delighted smile in response to his offer to spend a couple of days with her and cook breakfast "Sure that'd be nice...I don't think a guy has ever made me breakfast before...maybe my taste in men has finally improved" she said before hurriedly picking her own coffee cup to try and hide the embarrassed flush that was currently creeping up her cheeks. She hadn't actually intended to say that last part out loud and hoped Will wouldn't think she was being too forward or presumptuous concerning their relationship.

Once they'd finished eating Harry would place the dirty plates and cutlery into the tiny dishwasher before glancing up at the clock and reluctantly speaking "I think I'd better be getting down to the Hangar Dec, I enjoyed last night and I really did enjoy Captain Lightning...that Lt Broadsword is quite the girl...I can see why you like her" Harry said clearly unsure as to what to say and do.
