Chapter 2: The Ancient Cycle

You wake up to a clear Firesday morning. Yesterday's events almost seem unbelievable. A determination you've never felt sweeps over you as you snap awake.

After grabbing something to eat very quickly, you open your door eager to meet your friends and begin on your journey. Outside, two palace guards and a court mage are waiting. You peer down the street and the same type of group are also on your friends' doorsteps.

"Hello. We have been instructed to see that you and the rest of your team get everything you need for your trip and escort you to the south gate. Please let us know when you are ready."

You check down the street once again. The others of your party are just now peering out of the doors, probably getting much the same message.

The escort will accompany you anywhere you decide to go. Now is the time to stock up on anything you may need for your journey outside of the city. It is currently around 7:30am.

DM suggested items:
-Food for a week. (3gp5sp, 7lbs)
-Light sources (so you don't burn up all your cantrips)
-A way to light said light sources, if necessary (flint/steel works wonders and lasts forever, tindertwigs are much more useful for in-combat situations.)
-Look into buying some more consumables, IE tents and potions

If you find yourself not being able to afford something, strike up a conversation with some of your party members about it. Your characters would communicate about what they're bringing and how much they can carry of it. Use the OOC to discuss all of this unless you'd rather not. It's much faster than speaking in character.

Vil stretches, then adjusts his armor, buckler, and weapon to fit properly. He nods at his escort and heads to see the rest of his friends.

Re: Chapter 2: The Ancient Cycle

DAI walks out, having stowed away the box he recieved the night before. He listens to the escort, before nodding in acceptance and heading to the Market District, arrying all his gear.

Buying:
6 days Rations(3 gp) (6 pounds)
Everburning Torch(110 gp) (1 pound)
50 ft Hempen Rope (1 gp) (10 pounds)
Grappling Hook(1 gp) (4 pounds)

Re: Chapter 2: The Ancient Cycle

Shifting a lightweight pack, Jack hails his friends. "Good morning, all. So, where is the temple of fiends? I don't think I've ever heard of it." It was rather abrupt, but he appeared to be in much better control of himself now.

Re: Chapter 2: The Ancient Cycle

Zeig steps out of his doorway looking like a new man in his white robes with red trim and after a full nights sleep.

"It's a ways off to the north, best we not go unprepared.  I'm going to pick up a few things from the marketplace myself."

[OOC]

Buying:
6 days rations (3gp) (6 lbs.)

Also, what school of magic is light/illuminate?  It's evocation in dnd.

Whoops, sorry.  Didn't think to look past the spell pdf.[/OOC]

Re: Chapter 2: The Ancient Cycle

Jack follows Zeig and Dai, "Yes, better to be safe. I'll buy a little as well."

[OOC]Buying 2 ration, 1 bedroll, 1 flint and steel, and... 1 bag of caltrops, if the shops have them.

EDIT: Oops, thought rations were 1 gp. Adjusting[/OOC]

GM EDIT-
The shops carry caltrops. God I hate players that buy caltrops ;p

Vil walks up to Zeig and hands him a scroll. "I figured since you gave me one of your spells, I'd get you one as well. Its Basuna."

Re: Chapter 2: The Ancient Cycle

Upon finishing his purchases, DAI tracks down ZEIG and JACK, handing them each 15 platinum pieces, merely nodding and saying:

"This should be used for...preparing yourselves, I'll be waiting at the South Gate."

After dropping these off, DAI would turn toward the South, not requiring direction from his escort.
